Idk, maybe it's because I'm older now then when I first read the main tfota trilogy, but I'm so very excited for the new Elfhame book because I find the idea of a book about Jurdan in their mid/late twenties way more appealing then reading about them again when they were teens.

Do not get me wrong I will forever love and enjoy the main books, they slayed, they served, they ate and left no crumbs, they are iconic and they are the moment. There will never be a day actually when I won't enjoy reading those books. But as I age it gets kind of weird in my head when I remember Jude and Cardan were 17-18 years old there.

Probably also why I enjoyed reading the Jurdan scenes so much in The Prisoner's Throne. Not just because they're jurdan and not just because of the nostalgia. I just really need more grown up jurdan!

Dropping a very special Sketch-a-wish, voted on by my lovely Patreon members for August! The winning request was to illustrate an off-page scene from The Folk of the Air series, when Cardan was writing his letters to Jude. I countered that Cardan went through the five stages of grief writing those letters, and each deserved it's own illustration.
