#The Farm Sim Localization Divorce

So, for people not tuned into the Farm Sim Localization Divorce, every time a Story of Seasons title comes out, Natsume puts out one of their titles using the old trademark (which I will avoid using here in an effort to evade the search function because this is by its nature gonna be a 'point and laugh' post and THIS ONE looks like it might actually be decent, perhaps.)
We don't know much about the upcoming title, except that apparently Natsume HAS caught up with *checks notes* literally everyone else in the genre down to SQUARE ENIX'S foray-but-not, Harvestella, and FINALLY un-gender-locked romances! Yay! We have seen a trailer, and for once it looks... promising? Maybe? But we've all been burned before here.
This post, however, is not about anything with the upcoming game.
This post is about one of its preorder bonuses. For $124.99 US, you can get the ultimate collector's edition! It comes with a cow plushie (which is available with all the preorders,) a card depicting the Harvest Goddess (which you can buy on its own for $15 US), and a chicken backpack.
You can also buy the chicken backpack solo!
[ID: A screenshot from Natsume's website showing a white rectangular backpack with orange piping, orange handles on top, a yellow chick on the front panel, and a face with a yellow beak and round black eyes on the base of the orange straps. It costs $124.99 US, but is on sale for $99.99 US. End ID]
Yes. Those are eyes.
It stares into your soul.
It stares into all of our souls.
And given its price bought solo is IDENTICAL to the price of the ultimate edition, if you buy that you are essentially getting a free game, cow plushie, and overpriced trading card with your chicken backpack. (Seriously I've seen Amiibo cards of highly in-demand characters that cost less than that.)
I admit, if it weren't for the eyes, it would be a pretty cute backpack, but I can't shake the thought that it's staring at me.
#long post#the farm sim localization divorce#incidentally despite being named the ultimate edition it does not contain all the collectables of lower-priced editions#most notably the art book#but the real point here is CHICKEN BACKPACK and its beady little eyes

Rune Factory Frontier for the Wii was also done by XSeed I believe, thus we got the Zyzzx Empire Funniest Attempted Retranslation Ever thing, and while 3 was apparently still by Natsume, tonewise there was MUCH more of the quirk and character and references in the XSeed games than the first two Rune Factories, to the point I was surprised when people pointed out it will likely be retranslated for the remaster. I’d have to go back and check how it reads, not just the general sense of humor, but it definitely FEELS like a much stronger translation and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear some of that team ultimately went over to XSeed for at least a time.
For the Story of Seasons games, yeah, even comparing the remake of FOMT to the GBA one or ANB vs SOS1 as early 3DS titles, the difference in translation quality is huge as soon as XSeed takes over.
when do you think harvest moon games start having a good translation? which game is the first?
pretty much anything that has the "story of seasons" name, starting with story of seasons for the 3ds in 2015! that was when xseed split from natsume and started translating their own games, so everything from 2015 onward are the best :) rune factory 4 was also pretty good since it wasn't translated by natsume either, but it took a little longer for story of seasons to fully separate themselves.

Pine Lake Farewell: Swain
Stella kept her mechanic’s shop, especially after hiring Ginger Newson and realizing the girl showed promise and desperately needed a mentor. Under her patient teaching, Ginger flourished and found peace from her many anxieties in the garage. Stella eventually passed on the shop to her apprentice and retired fully to maximize her right to spoil her grandchildren. But she did still drop in to tinker with the odd engine now and then.
Leif and Natasha divorced with shared custody of the two kids. (While Natasha never formally adopted Erika, Leif had allowed her legal guardianship.) They agreed to remain friends and, though they never really were, did manage to keep a civil relationship between them.
Natasha quit the school system to focus on her art full-time. She never made much money at it, but the alimony kept her from going bankrupt, and well supplied in fine cheeses.
Leif focused on his farm and, thanks to a literal green thumb, was highly productive in it. He did try dating again, but found he was too busy for a serious relationship. Even with a Plantsim daughter to help out full time, a farmer’s work is never done.
Erika had a tough go of high school due to her incredible shyness and reluctance to put more than three words together, which the other teens often interpreted as snobbishness. She did not go to university, preferring to stay home on the farm. In fact, if not for her best friend, Emerald, forcing her to go out once in a while, she’d probably live quite happily has a lonely hermit.
Jeremy also had trouble in school, but it was because of his incessant pranking and frequent trips to the principal’s office with his best friend and partner in crime, Garrett Newson. His only motivation for doing his homework was the threat of being excluded from the weekly video game tournaments with his dad, and occasionally his super cool aunt...who sometimes would bring a sneak peek of a new game.
Freyja and Jonah stayed in the city to focus on their careers. Freyja works quite high up in an indie video game company, and though the work probably outweighs the salary, she loves every minute of it. Jonah sold his coffee shop when they first moved and now operates a local brewery on the border of the bohemian and gearhead sections of the city. It’s equally popular with both social classes, and even a few prominent socialites have been spotted there now and then. They adopted a small dog and are happy to be simply aunt and uncle for the time being.
Thor and his university sweetheart, Ivy Copur, married immediately after graduation. Ivy took a job at the hospital, while Thor ran the sound system at his brother-in-law's coffee shop for a while. But after their first child was born, he quit to become a full-time dad...which was good, because they soon had enough children to keep his Family Sim heart happy. He does occasionally make house calls to tune pianos, however.

Sammy for @nettlenotes BC
He/Him, Bi
Adult, Human
Animal Enthusiast // Loves Outdoors // Bookworm
Sammy is the father of Leanne and divorced. He moved from the city to Henford on Bagley to live on his family farm. His daughter decided to join him, since she loves animals and wants to work as a vet someday, and he couldn’t be happier with her there. The only thing missing was a connection romantically with someone. Some of the locals would try setting Sammy up with their family members, but he hasn’t been able to find anyone else just yet. His daughter was tired of him being mopey, so she signed him up for the BC. He has his daughter looking after the farm with the townsfolk so he doesn’t have to worry about her while he’s away.
PS this is the first Sim I made on my laptop iaohsd I hope you like him!! Also sorry the pics aren’t my best they’re literally ripped right from the game since I don’t have my photoshop and all that on yet.

Ugh, right? I get that they had an idea to encourage breeding and make higher-level products more of an achievement!!
But I don’t WANT that. I know there was the team shakeup, and I try not to hold it too much against them, but it really does stand out how Connect to a New Land/Story of Seasons subtitleless gives you your first cow as a gift from the lovable mentor grandma, and people get attached to that cow. We are encouraged to get attached to that cow, and any animal we acquire. We’ve been encouraged to for years across the franchise - it’s a very idyllic sort of farm sim, and the animals are your friends, such that they produce higher-quality products the more they like you. When encouraging breeding also means encouraging selling the animals you’re forming bonds with, it’s not going to mesh well with the playstyle the franchise has long promoted.
I kind of hated the system in the SoS:FoMT remake that capped the affection level of your livestock.
If you wanted to reach full hearts with your animals, you had to breed multiple generations. But there was only so much space in your barn/coop, so you’d inevitably have to sell some of them.
I don’t want to sell any of my animals! They’re my family!
#friends of mineral town#story of seasons#bokumono#bokujou monogatari#i think the franchise is having a bit of an identity crisis#because they saw Stardew Valley’s success and people saying it reminded them of the Good Old Days of the franchise#and it certainly has gotten more complex over time! fair point.#but to some degree they can’t compete there because like. the price.#indies have no margin of error so they have to undercharge EVEN MORE than the industry as a whole.#(which is not a dig at indie pricing OR big studios! the problem is capitalism and Stardew Valley is a genuine MARVEL of 98% solo work)#but yeah. can’t win the entire SDV base. so the identity crisis then becomes ‘is Our Brand as a specific farm sim good enough?’#’now that we’re not the only game in town except for our ex that got the localized name in the divorce?’#not helping things: They lost the localized name in the divorce#and thus: minor identity crisis. but honestly in many ways the 3DS XSeed titles were my favorites in the franchise#i’d LIKE that farming style back! it was actually pretty great!

Pastel Patisserie: A Legacy Challenge [Recovered 5/18/19]
My Pastel Patisserie challenge is back! Thank you to @strwbrrycremu for recovering the original rules and sending them my way! Since writing this challenge, a lot of new features have been added to the game. My hope is to alter this ruleset to include all of the new packs we have!
Hungry for some more berry sweet game play? Looking for a challenge that incorporates all of your EPs and GPs? Want to give your sims pastel hair colors and sugary sweet names? The Pastel Patisserie is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Pastel Patisserie is a 10 generation legacy challenge structured like the Not-So-Berry and Rainbowcy challenges, but written to incorporate aspects of recently released packs. True to The Sims series, it is filled with wacky drama and larger than life characters.
*This is something I’ve made mostly for myself, because I’ve played the first two gens of NSB over too many times and I’m sick of the scientist career.
Rules:
Like some of the other berry sweet legacies here on tumblr, each heir must represent the color or in this case, “flavor” of their generation. You can play with actual berry sims, or “banilla” sims (sims with colored hair but regular, human skin tones).
Color-coded spouses are totally optional. Personally, I think I’m going to fill a save with a bunch of berry townies to keep with the theme.
There are no money restrictions, but the challenge is probably a lot more fun if you don’t excessively use money cheats.
Your legacy is not bound to one lot for its entirety. But if you prefer your legacies to live in one house the whole time, go for it
Wanna share your progress? Use the hashtag #pastelpat
Gen 1: Bubblegum (Founder)
You’re new to the area and ready to put down roots! You love baking, and have always dreamed of opening your own bakery. You start a club for local bakers and put what little savings you have into your business. You spend most of your time at the bakery, so it’s no surprise that it’s where you meet the love of your life. You have one child whom you both love dearly and spoil often. When they finally move out, the house feels so empty you and your spouse adopt another child.

Children and a white picket fence are nowhere on your radar; you want to DJ and dance the night away for the rest of your life. You have one boyfriend/girlfriend who you are mostly faithful to, but one night you slip up. You/your lover gets pregnant and you must take care of the child. You’re not very good with kids and you never wanted them, so you’re not around very often. You enlist your adopted sibling as a babysitter.

All the unprotected woohoo catches up to you, and you have a lot of children. You and your family spend your days working the farm and living commune style.

Never marry, but you may have multiple girlfriends/boyfriends. Bonus points if they all live with you at once.
Gen 5: Lemonade
You hated growing up in the country with so many siblings. Dirt and bugs gross you out, and there was always so much work to do. You long to start a new life in the city, far away from your embarrassing family. You move to San Myshuno as a teen, and work part-time while you focus on your grades. When you finally age up, you join the business career and marry a rich old sim. You have two children and they have the best of everything. Create a Socialites club. Meet once a week for brunch or a spa day.
Gen 6: Peach
You got everything you ever wanted as a child and lived San Myshuno’s high society life. You love living in the city and never want to leave. You are the sim equivalent of the millennial. All you want to do is explore the city and enjoy yourself for the rest of your life. You eat spicy food, blog your whole life, and become a simstagram star. You date a few people, but eventually settle down with one of your exes.

As a kid you had all kinds of food, but your favorite is Grilled Cheese. You have a small group of close knit friends, and you like to invite them over once a week for grilled cheese. You live in Oasis Springs and work as a detective for the local police department. You are the epitome of dad culture: you’re clumsy and like to take naps. Your family takes the death hard. All children must have the gloomy trait.
Never remarry. Stay with your ghostly spouse.
Gen 8: Ash
You lost one of your parents when you were young and it left a mark on you. You want desperately to make your own family, but struggle to do so. One of your pregnancies miscarry and it destroys you. You can’t bear to be around your children, and start a string of affairs. One day your spouse catches you, and leaves with the kids. You become obsessed with death. Eventually, you get abducted and have an alien child.

A year-long undertaking, the thesis is an arduous yet joyful journey, where conversations, critiques and references gently nudge students towards certain contemporary and relevant trajectories, organically converging into communities of practice where the works collectively resonate with one another.
"Convergence occurs along five discursive threads, which form the five clusters of the show: Critical Architecture, History & Heritage, Sociopolitics & Geopolitics, Technologies and Urbanism & Environments. Each cluster is uniquely positioned to probe the limits of the discipline, and to respond to the demands of wider society.
"Critical Architecture interrogates the discipline itself. The thesis work in this cluster seeks to identify and challenge architectural convention, forming propositions of design that provoke, satirize, or gently disturb the expectations of architecture and what the field encompasses.
"History & Heritage gathers sites and stories that were lost in the pursuit of rapid development and urban progress. The theses of this cluster anchor onto overshadowed historical and cultural artefacts; through this they consider a spectrum of strategies and positions that navigate the tricky entanglement between the oft-conflicting demands of the past and present.
"Sociopolitics & Geopolitics deliberates on architecture's capacity to contribute to the public good, at the crossroads of policy, ideology and society. Fieldwork and research bring to light fissures in the built environment that emerge from manifold agendas. The theses take aim at these socio-spatial injustices. Alternative hierarchies, boundaries, notions of work, welfare, and education are imagined – potential futures in which these status quo might be destabilised through optimism and design.
"Technologies argues that architecture, entwined with making, doing and craft, cannot be divorced from the techie which influences it. Thus, technology, no longer mere device for representation, has become a tool for thinking, optimising and materialising ideas into form. The theses featured in this cluster capitalize on these advancements, offering a window into architecture's future.
"Urbanism & Environments takes the position that architecture is inherently ecological, mediating an extensive network of relationships beyond our immediate, perceptible senses. The cluster recognises the need for new economies to emerge; its propositions suggest new ways of living amidst large scale forces such as increasing urbanisation, the pandemic and global warming.
"Moving through the five exhibitions of our show, the five threads intersect and overlap, creating a hazy cloud of interrelationships and connections that we find as interesting as the individual work themselves. As thesis projects turn into continuous research embarked by the authors, it is also paramount that these ideas flow and are made public, to be reinterpreted and to exist in the future work of others. Our show will gather people and audiences through several events for this purpose, and we hope that the conversations that avail will appeal and excite the community."
How To Live With Another
"This thesis begins at home, with my grandmother and her helper Asri. It ends by testing the potentials of architecture – its epistemological and professional capacities to address the production of space speaking to social and class-based proximities.
"Three devices are conceptualized through household materials – bamboo laundry poles, used teabags, recycled magazines, and methods – knotting, weaving, sewing, crossing over from domestic chores into the architecture studio.
"Presented from occupants' perspectives through photography and ethnographic videography, how to live with another is politically gendered in its concerns for architecture's intersection with, and manifestation of, equity and voice."
Student name: Anthea Phua Yi Xuan Course: Masters of Architecture Tutor: Assoc Prof Lilian Chee
Normal Architecture
"This thesis treats the banal practice of architecture as an aesthetic project. Through the simple set-up of a game, three scenarios in practice are played out, mainly focusing on the performance of client and architect in the design of a residential programme.
"Normal Architecture reveals the compromise, friction and fighting activity hidden behind the perfect facade of architecture. This performance is a simulation of practice, a team sport rather than an artistic activity, taking shape directly to impact form and aesthetics. By exaggerating these moments into strange details, the entangled stories of architects, clients, and engineers are told."
Student name: Ong Chan Hao Course: Masters of Architecture Tutor: Prof Erik G L'Heureux
A Higher Calling
"A Higher Calling is an attempt to repurpose telephone exchange buildings as infrastructures of counter-surveillance. The improvement of telecommunication technology has led to the demolition of telephone exchanges despite their architectural rarity and heritage significance.
"While these infrastructures heralded in a new era of mass communications, they also expedited the onslaught of unwarranted and widespread surveillance. Building upon their characteristic architecture – island-wide geographical placement, visual inconspicuity, underground inter-connectivity, and windowless disposition – the thesis argues that networks of telephone exchange buildings should be conserved and repurposed as spaces of refuge and avenues for recourse, against an increasingly inevitable surveillance climate."
Student name: Jonathan Yee Chenxin Course: Masters of Architecture Tutor: Adj Asst Prof. Ho Weng Hin
To Food, With Love: Architecture of an Intangible Culture
"Despite being intangible, hawker culture is indeed very much dependent on the spaces used to produce, distribute, prepare, and consume food. But what does it mean for the architecture when what is deemed as important heritage is not the building, but the activities contained within?
"Culture is not static, and neither is our culinary landscape made from just kitchens and dining tables. Yet we remain fixated on an idealised physical manifestation, the hawker centre, as the sole space of hawker culture, disregarding other spaces and processes. What then, is the scope and role of architectural design in conserving hawker culture?"
Student name: Sim Wen Wei Course: Masters of Architecture Tutor: Assoc Prof Chang Jiat Hwee
Transient Dormitories in Singapore Water
"The transient nature of workers housing and the growing demand for locally farmed fishes in Singapore provide temporal considerations to this architectural exploration. The co-location of worker dormitory and a fish farm on a floating platform is a hybrid architecture that capitalized on the coastal environment, mutualism as well as time-sharing arrangement of space to rethink better dwelling for the workers.
"As the demand for migrant workers in Singapore decreases in the future, spaces in these floating platforms can be transformed for fish farming or redeployed for other sea-based economic opportunities."
Student name: Loo Quan Le Course: Masters of Architecture Tutor: Assoc Prof Cheah Kok Ming
Pleasure Fields: Negotiating Queer Space and Time
"The Pleasure Fields is a park that negotiates queer space and time in Singapore. Research into local cruising spaces concludes that the queer body's existence depends on its spatial and temporal context. Thus, the project proposes a counterpoint to how the body is state-programmed to reproduce future citizens via the heteronormative family unit.
"On an urban scale, the proposal experiments with how architectural interventions could ally with the site's trees and topography to gradually de-closet the queer body. Five architectural typologies then illuminate the spatial language of cruising through layering and appropriating spatial configurations previously known only to the cruiser."
Student name: Ahmad Nazaruddin bin Abdul Rahim Course: Masters of Architecture Tutor: Assoc Prof Tsuto Sakamoto
Deconstruction / Reconstruction : An analysis of architecture through the lens of Structural Optimisation
"Deconstruction / Reconstruction is a thesis that attempts to relook at architecture through the lens of structural optimization and digital fabrication. Reacting to the zeitgeist of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Carpo's Second Digital Turn – the thesis deconstructs architecture into its elements, applying breakthrough structural optimization methods to the process of their design.
"Through a study of Topology Optimisation, Evolutionary Structural Optimisation (ESO), Graphic Statics, and Stress Line Analysis through recent work by Block, Xie and Akbarzadeh – the thesis studies how current design processes could be augmented with these structural toolkits and fabricated using digital fabrication methods such as 3D printing with the aim of reducing the material utilized in construction."
Student name: Lee Lip Jiang Course: Masters of Architecture Tutor: Assoc Prof Rudi Stouffs
Rebirth 重生计划
"The project tackles the issue of the emerging 'Useless Class' in China. The Useless Class, coined by Yuval Harrari, are low-skilled factory laborers that are being replaced by robots and AI. The project proposes a new way of spatial and social design approaches that helps the 'Useless class' to embark on a new beginning in life.
"Instead of monetary gains, the residents accumulate social credit through participating in game-like e-waste recycling quests which gradually help them to rebuild their sense of purpose and fosters community bonding."
Student name: April Zhu Weijie Course: Masters of Architecture Tutor: Ar Chaw Chih Wen
The Water Parliament – Bangkok City 2100
"The thesis is built around a fictional realm of the inhabitable landscape of Bangkok city in the year 2100 where a new Water Parliament is situated at the ancient Rattanakosin Island that pertained to the commons of water and subjected to the groups of people living on the island that represents the culture and people of the Thai city.
"It celebrates a different aspect of water and engages the traditional water culture with more advanced technology and infrastructures. It demonstrates that the environmental crisis of sea-level rise is potentially a new opportunity for them to reshape the city through participation."
Student name: Tyler Lim Course: Master of Architecture Tutor: Adj Assoc Prof Khoo Peng Beng
The Material Field: Recycling Infrastructure for Indeterminate and Emergent Material Practices
"This thesis originated from an investigation of assemblages in informal cardboard collecting – culminating in a study of how material assemblages gradually reconstituted themselves across different scales. Expressed architecturally as a recycling centre, the thesis seeks new emancipatory findings and possibilities for man, architecture and informal recycling through object-oriented perspectives.
"Specifically, studying how these objects exist, aggregate and affect the body across different scales yields new understandings and approaches to architecture as a mediator between body and object. It suggests a direction to look at architecture from the material itself first, rather than asking first how it serves us."
Student name: Valarie Yap Course: Master of Architecture Tutor: Assoc Prof Tsuto Sakamoto

10 GEN LEGACY CHALLENGE
I was bored with sims 4 gameplay after reaching the end of the not so berry challenge, so I made a 10 gen legacy challenge enjoy :^)
I tried to use as many careers/traits/skills as I could, so very sorry if you're missing a pack! 1st gen starts of relatively easy but some of them are gonna be pretty difficult, be warned!!
1. BREADWINNER
Creative, Foodie, Perfectionist
Fabulously Wealthy
Master baking, piano, and comedy skill.
Open a 5 star bakery.
Have a messy divorce.
Have a bad relationship with your child(ren) throughout their childhood.
You’ve always loved open mic nights at your local cafes and bars, but aren’t too fond of coffee or the taste of alcohol. So why not cut them both out and have an open mic bakery? Who says you can’t eat a scone and listen to bad jokes and an out of tune piano?
2. SCOUT MASTER
Loves The Outdoors, Active, Recycle Disciple
Outdoor Enthusiast
Earn all the scout badges.
Master fishing, handiness, guitar, and herbalism skill.
Must be living on an off the grid lot by time of death.
Yearly camping trip to Granite Falls with family.
Have a successful bee farm.
Your parent was always busy with the family bakery and seemingly never had any time for you, and after the divorce things only got worse. Your other parent, finally having time on their hands, threw themselves into catering to your needs. Bonding time was spent fishing, gardening, and bad mouthing your other parent – it didn’t much bother you, though, because at least you got all your scout badges out of it. And a weekend away from the pies and cakes.
3. PHIL OF THE FUTURE
Genius, Loner, Squeamish
Nerd Brain
Master robotics, rocket science, and handiness skill
Graduate university with a degree completely unrelated to engineering
Reach at least level 6 in any career before quitting to be an engineer.
Build all the robots available.
You spent your childhood isolated and off-the-grid. Technology was mostly forbidden, but that didn’t stop you spending all of your time at the library messing around on the computers. Because of your quiet childhood, making friends was hard, so you poured every waking moment into making your own friends – robots. Unfortunately for you, your parents would flip a lid if they found out you weren’t continuing the family homestead to be an engineer/robot overload, so you grit your teeth and follow their advice.
4. INDIANA WHO?
Bookworm, Clumsy, Active
Archaeology Scholar & Jungle Explorer
Master archaeology, photography, Selvadoradian, and fitness skill
Reach level 10 of the archaeology career.
Marry a Selvadoradian native.
As a kid, you jumped at any opportunity to go to your grandparents house. Despite your parents’ disliking this, your grandparents welcomed you with open arms. You’d spend a lot of your time there digging up fossils and taking pictures of whatever you could to hang up on your walls at home, running around adventuring and scraping your knees to your heart’s desire. As you grew up, the fantasy never wavered, and with the internet and all the information you could need at your fingertips, you dove head first into the world of archaeology and learned everything you could.
5. TREE HUGGER
Green Fiend, Freegan, Good
Eco Innovator & Master Maker
Reach level 10 of the civil engineer career
Master gardening, wellness, and fabrication skills
Change a bad area into a green one.
You grew up around old things. Abandoned things. You saw good places destroyed by time and people – this bothered you a lot. You wanted nothing more in life than to fix this, and with your grandparents backing you in your engineering pursuits, you were set on the path of fixing the world. Or, at least, your neighbourhood.
6. MIX MASTER
Outgoing, Dance Machine, Non-Committal
Master Mixologist & Party Animal
Master juice fizzing, mixology, and DJ skill.
Have a successful/outstanding garden.
Work as a mixologist for entire young adult life, quit as an adult and become a DJ.
Marry your best-friend.
With your parents settling down in makers central, you found yourself surrounded by fabricators, builders, gardeners...and juice fizzers. Life felt almost free. You loved watching people mix up concoctions, and loved drinking them even more. Making your own became your dream, so you moved out as a teen to pursue this lifestyle to the fullest. The city held a plethora of opportunity at your doorstep, and you loved it – mostly. After strings of late nights and failed romances, you grew older and wiser – and your liver tired. You decided it was time to cool it down...just a little. The party never dies, but everyone needs a break!
7. CEO OF BEING AWFUL
Mean, Self Absorbed, Hates Children
City Native & Fabulously Wealthy
Reach the top of the business career
Master charisma and mischief skill.
Marry and divorce at least 2 people.
Have a bad relationship with your kids.
Must cheat on a spouse at least once.
Growing up in the city was busy. People pushing each other left and right to get to the top, others wasting away their lives like it was nothing. You hated it. So you became the former, you would be the best of the best, and you didn’t mind stepping on a few toes to get there. That penthouse in the fashion district would be yours no matter who got in the way. Complete isolation above the worker ants below...All you could ever need. Oh, and you guess a spouse? Maybe kids? Who cares.
8. CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN
Family Orientated,Childish, Jealous
Super Parent and/or Big Happy Family
Have 12 kids, 3 of which must be triplets.
Complete at least one of the parenthood aspirations.
Master parenting skill
Be at least good friends with all of your kids.
Never have more than a part-time job/must be a stay-at-home parent.
Your parents hated you. One, because you got in the way, and the other, because you ruined the marriage that was doomed to fail anyway. You did your best to stay in the shadows, tidying up any mess you made so you didn’t have to deal with an argument, and because it was the only thing to do in a big empty penthouse. Playing alone with your dolls and Blarffy was the only comfort you ever got as a kid, so when you turned 18, you got yourself out, cutting off your parents forever. You would be a better parent than they could have ever been. And then some.
9. BLACK WIDOW/WIDOWER
Non-committal, Evil, High Maintenance
Serial Romantic & Friend of The World
Have 5 dead spouses.
Have 3 kids you dislike.
Master mischief and charisma skill
Rely entirely on spouses’ money.
You never had a moment’s breath when you were a kid, always surrounded by someone yammering in your ear. 11 siblings is a lot. Sometimes you wish you could just…anyway, your time was spent taking out this anger on others, and when you realized people generally didn’t like that, you got crafty. Become their friend, seduce them, take their money. A flawless plan until you find yourself stuck with a bunch of kids you didn’t want. They generally stayed away from you, so they weren’t too bad...
10. GHOST WHISPERER
Loner, Romantic, Erratic
Inner Peace & The Curator
‘Accidentally’ kill your parent during childhood.
Live in a haunted house.
Master medium and pipe organ skill.
Maintain a good friendship with at least 3 ghosts.
Have a romantic relationship with a ghost.
Reach the top of the ghost hunter career.
Your house was evil. Not because your evil parent mysteriously died there and left you all alone, but because there were, as it turns out, other angry ghosts roaming the halls constantly, and it hurt your brain. Your siblings thought you were strange for hearing voices and saying the house was haunted, and generally excluded you from anything they did, so you had no choice but to be friends with the spirits. When you found out people helped ghosts cross over for a living, you were all about it – if it stopped the voices in your head and helped the ghost cross over, then it was decided. You would become a ghost whisperer.

hi!!! I just found you blog and I love your content so much!!! Can you give us a little bit of a back story on a few of your simmies???
Omg yessssss! This is like the best question ever, I love individuals who pay interest into my sims and their backgrounds as such. To let you know, I will talk from Knights Legacy perpsective, as my simmies have different background depending on the role they own. I have couple of stories with them. I’ll begin with my main ones -
Melody Knight:
She was born in Germany due to her father being full-on German and her mother a British woman. At the age of 10 they moved to live in England and she continued to pursue her life there. Of course she lived a very rich but strictly limited life. Her parents were the ones to make crucial decisions for her, rather than interfere their daughter in her own-say. As she grew older, her hatred and rebellious side decided to show and she tried to do everything against her parents’ liking. I mean she was suppose to have an arranged marriage set by her parents, but this gal decided to make an exit. I don’t want to spoil much but I will interfere more of her back story in the legacy itself. Right this moment she is 22 years old. Living her stolen life to its fullest, well for now.
Sebastian Dawson:
Sebastian comes from Italian family whom have given all the love and support a parent could possibly give to its child. He has an older brother, who he gets along with, even if the distance sets them apart. At the age of 19 he decided to move to England to bring a better income to its family and even start his own business. Right after he left, his father passed away due to a long-term illness known as Chronic Obstructive Pulminary Disease and he blamed himself for not being able to attend his funeral, which has caused quite a distant relationship between him and his family. At the age of 21 he got married, but divorced at 33 as they felt like their feelings drifted apart, and decided to continue with their life without one another. At the age of 37 he continues to work as auto mechanic in his own little shop and has further plans to escalate his business further.
Julius Elton Steel:
* He looks much different than in this photo as this picture was taken back in 2015.
As Melody, he grew to be in a rich environment. Melody’s Parents knew Julius parents and their status, therefore they have decided to bring their children together for marital purposes to ensure secure business investments in the future. He comes from a British background. Apart from his runaway bride, he grew to enjoy his life in a spoiled manner. He does as he pleases and cares less about others as long as he is in a spotlight. Later on in life, he has made a choice of taking over of his father’s business and plans to continue to enjoy his life with a wife with the nice face by his side. As a 24 years old lad, he has a huge ego and rotten attitude.
Katherine Glen:
Probs one of my fave characters out there.
Life of Katherine was full of surprises and unexpectedness . At the age of 12 she decided to runaway from home, due to abusive environment she lived with her father while her mother was constantly working to support her family. She had to steal from local bakery to maintain her hunger until once she got caught and was forced to work to repay for her deeds. That is how she fell the passion for cooking, and continued to come to the bakery for a hope to get a job there. Due to her age, it was quite difficult to take her for a serious candidate, therefore she stole as many times as possible, and tried to get caught again and again to work in the kitchen, whether it involved making cupcakes or washing piles of dishes. At the end of this, the owner granted her a job, as a cleaner to begin with and later as a chef itself. She knew he could just call a police regards to her rebellious behavior in the bakery, but he saw how passionate she was, and how desperately she wanted to get in. At the age of 23, the owner passed away, and due to having no family to pass the shop to he decided to leave his beloved bakery to her that now stands for a diner and a gas station. At age of 30 she got married and now has been living with her husband and two children, two boys, one at the age of 17 and the other at the age of 26 in a farm house, few miles away from her work. She has recently celebrated her 57 birthday.
That the only characters I have in-a-way introduced in this legacy story, if you want me to talk about specific characters, feel free to name them.

Bro: *Is talking gaming shit with me*
Me: *Going about my business multitasking*
Me:… Holy shit. Okay I need you to admire the FUCKING GALL of Natsume’s social media.
Me: *Shows him a Tweet in which Natsume posts a picture of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life (in response to a “name the greatest GCN game” retweet meme).*
*A game which, I remind you, they published but did not make, which is currently being remade by the team that makes the ACTUAL franchise, Bokujou Monogatari, now known as Story of Seasons following a split between the former publishing company and Marvelous in favor of their own in-house localization team in which the publishing company kept the trademark. A remake which is coming out in a week in Japan and about five months internationally.*
Bro: *Sharp inhale*
Me: I appreciate that I don’t have to explain more. I appreciate that you’ve managed to eventually internalize my drama about the Farm Sim Localization Divorce the way I eventually internalize sports stuff I’m not personally invested in.
#family shenanigans#The Farm Sim Localization Divorce#I really should just keep a tag for that#I’m sure as hell not tagging the Other One because again. I’m sure there’s SOME fans out there.#presumably.#bro and I share many broader special interests but differ on both finer points and hyperfixations#so we will at times infodump at each other but not pay TOO close attention and eventually things will osmose#I’m not going to tag this one properly just because I’m not INTENTIONALLY stirring up drama.#just. the absolute MOXY here.
