i think we should always take predominant sexes and races for psychiatric disabilities into question.

are men really more likely to be antisocial or narcissistic, or are women just overlooked because ASPD/NPD are seen as too "aggressive" for them?

are women really more likely to be borderline or histrionic, or are they just seen as so "hysterical" that they have to be feminine?

are black people more likely to have schizophrenia or ODD, or are labels of "psychosis" and "defiance" simply used to further dismiss, oppress, and imprison BIPOC?

are white people more likely to have autism and ADHD, or are doctors just more willing to accept that white children are disabled and not just "bad?"

oppressive biases are everywhere in psychiatry. never take psychiatric demographics at face value.

Defiant whumpee but they've already had the shit beat out of them

"you're just gonna stand there and appreciate your work, huh?"

"am I pretty now?"

They were screaming "fuck you!" And got punched every time till they didn't have the breath to speak. Now it's just a very quiet "just suck a dick, would you?"

whumper just has gotten in the habit of slapping them for talking because it's probably insults

Saying "yes master" and waiting till whumper can't see to roll their eyes or give them the finger

Resistance via silence, because they have no energy to speak anymore

Their instinctive sass now includes a flinch reflex

"are you done?" Whumpee says and then cringes

"are you done?" Whumper says and waits for whumpee to say something that will earn them another kick

"I think we both could use a break, don't you think?" Whumpee groans.

Whumpee adds on a "sir" whenever they say anything that might get them punished

"yes, patience is clearly your best quality... Sir."

There's something so terrifyingly beautiful about mind control.

Just imagine- a Whumpee who knows about Whumper's ability. As soon as they end up alone with them and realize what's going to happen, they panic. They attempt to get away, to stay out of Whumper's reach, to fight.

When that fails, they resort to choked pleas, backing away though they know it's futile. Their eyes warily scan the grinning Whumper, who is walking towards them at a painfully slow pace, aware of the fact that they have them cornered. As their back presses against the cold wall, and Whumper's hand delicately makes its way towards their face, Whumpee freezes.

Whumper's fingers gently brush against their face, the cold touch causing them to shiver.

"Don't fight me."

Their voice is sweet as they speak, so much so that, if they didn't know better, Whumpee would think this was their medium. But as Whumper's hand settles on their cheek, and their mind starts becoming foggy, that idea is discarded.

"You'll feel so much better afterwards, you'll see. Just let me in."

Whumpee grimaces, desperately trying to hold onto their thoughts. their thoughts. their, their, THEIR-

"There we go."

As Whumpee's facial features relax, their breathing slows down, and their expression goes blank, Whumper knows they've won.

Whumpee's mind is theirs now.

Denial - "This can't be happening" // "I'm going to wake up any minute...it's only a nightmare..." // "None of this real, it can't be!" // "There's been a mistake!" // "They...they wouldn't leave me like this, they'll come rescue me, they will!"

Anger - "You can't do this to me!" // "Fuck you, you fucking psychopath!" // "I don't have to listen to you!" // "You're a goddamn coward!" // "Let me out of here so I can break your neck!" // "You'll be sorry when they come find me, creep!"

Bargaining - "Please, no, anything but that!" // "N-not the cattle prod, please, I'll do whatever you want!" // "No, don't hurt them! Hurt me instead, I can take it!" // "I'll let you touch me however you want just please don't use that!" // "I'll tell you whatever you want if you just let me go!"

Depression - "Do whatever you want, what's the point?" // "I don't think I have anything left to scream for you" // "Just kill me and get it over with" // "Just...just leave me alone..." // "Why are they taking so long to find me? Don't they care? Don't they love me?"

Acceptance - "I knew I deserved this..." // "I'll be good, I promise" // "I love you, too" // "They were never looking for me, were they?" // "Yes, sir/ma'am" // "What do you mean 'leave'? I can't leave, that's against the rules"

REVIEW: The Defiants - Drive (2023)

Defiant Whumpee who has been fighting Whumper at every possible moment, and Whumper who has been trying everything to get them to break. Hurting them didn't work, if the pain became too much Whumpee just shut down, but would be right back up when they had a break. Restraining them didn't work, Whumpee still mouthed them off and spat at them. Starvation didn't work, Whumpee seemed to just accept it. Blindfolding did nothing. The gag did nothing.

Whumper tried so much, and Whumpee's reactions were different and they did get weaker, but they still wouldn't. give. in. Wouldn't show weakness, wouldn't beg or plead, wouldn't do anything what Whumper wanted to see.

Until Whumper tried drugging them. They gave them something that leaves Whumpee dazed, making their body heavy and unresponsive, and their mind foggy.

They untie Whumpee, letting them fall to the floor, and mock them. Telling them that this is their chance, come on, fight me, isn't this what you want?

But Whumpee can't do anything. They try, but their body won't obey them, their mind slips away from them. And it terrifies them. Anything else they can take. External things? They will fight. But they've never experienced this before. Their body completely giving up on them.

And that, that, finally does something. The next time Whumper drugs them, Whumpee doesn't say anything. It's the same the third time. But the fourth... Whumpee flinches back, and chokes out a soft "please". They instantly shut their mouth, as if they didn't mean to say it, but it's too late.

Whumper finally found something that will break them.

a defiant whumpee so drugged out of their mind that they'll let carewhumper care for them. whumpee usually kicks and bites and claws when Carewhumper came near them, but now they're laying peacefully in their lap. Carewhumper strokes whumpee's hair as they're too drugged to understand what is happening, all they know is that carewhumper touching their hair feels nice.

Whumpee's sensations are numbed and they can barely move, making it so much easier for carewhumper to tend to their injuries

it's just nice see a defiant whumpee get some much needed comfort

Whumper overestimates how much torture Whumpee can take. The once-defiant Whumpee is broken and catatonic, not speaking or reacting to anything anymore. And Whumper isn't happy about it. Though they loathe to admit it, they liked Whumpee's defiance. It was entertaining. Whumpee was entertaining. With them not speaking anymore, Whumper realizes that they miss the sound of Whumpee's voice. The snarky little comments, the sarcastic jokes, the curses screamed in rage.

Now Whumper is desperate to get the old Whumpee back. They're being extra "nice," giving Whumpee medical treatment and food, anything to make them go back to how they were before. Anything to fix their favorite toy.

Because like it or not, Whumper doesn't have anyone else.
