I find filters help with that (to the many artists out there, no offense is meant with this. Draw what you want, I have no interest in dictating what others should or shouldn’t draw)
I forget that artists I follow can draw whatever they want. Listen, go for it! But I am Mormon, and anytime I see a suggestive art post I get caught off guard, I look at their profile and go “Oh, yeah, that’s [———], I followed them for their [PJO/EPIC/Anything Else] art!”, and then I just continue to scroll lol.
NOTHING against them, just catches me off guard as an artist who will not ever draw anything sexual or suggestive, I forget that we can do that lol

I have met exactly two types of Mormon grandparents when it comes to soda
It’s either:
hates it with vigor, believes that it is against the words of wisdom
Or:
Addicted

There are a lot of adults going to church today who are going to be Pikachu-face surprised when they get to judgment and are handed a millstone to place around their necks because of how unsafe they've made this world for children.

Things that did NOT make me consider leaving the church:
coming out as queer
every time I find out another cool thing about Quakerism
Things that did make me consider leaving the church:
seeing 2 (TWO!) cybertrucks in the temple parking lot

You know I really relate to Joseph Smith because imagine you’re this kid who just wants to know God and He reveals Himself to you, gives you direction, and you literally can’t deny what you know, but everyone around you criticizes you. I too was a kid who just wanted to know God, and He did reveal Himself to me (although not in the same manner) and frankly I can’t deny what I know. He loves me, as I am. Queer and all. So I feel crazy when everyone around me is telling me the revelation I received can’t possibly be true, but I know what I know. I can’t deny it. Like Joseph, I’ve been asked to walk a path that’s new and scary, but ultimately serves a purpose.

Do you think Christ would say
“Send the immigrants away”
Do you think Christ would say
“Love your neighbour unless they are poor, brown, black or gay”
I don’t think Christ would preach
Hate in the streets
Arrests of the homeless
The downtrodden
The queer
Forcing them to live every day in fear
Yet here we are
Forgetting “love your neighbour”
Unless they are straight and white and able
I think Christ cries when He sees what we’ve done
When we see how we treat people’s friends, sisters, parents and sons
So I will cling to my faith
I will cling to my love
I will cling to my faith in a better heaven above
Because the Lord said love my children
And for Him I will try
To love and to care for those facing abuse
And so maybe, just maybe, my Lord won’t have to cry

Lolol sometimes it’s so funny reading peoples posts about “Mormon” theology that is based on Exmo stories, tradition/culture but not doctrine, and like random statements by some church leader 200 years ago that was not put into doctrine/canonized, or that he was corrected/reprimanded on, and all of us look back on like “well that guy was racist/sexist. Anyways moving on…” like tbh it just makes me laugh. Like I know our theology is a bit different than mainstream Christianity but y’all don’t need to make it sound like we are out here truly believing half the stuff you say about us.

someone send me back in time so i can absolutely ravage joseph smith's ass and stop the mormon church from happening. i wanna fuck that little twink until he's seeing angels in the woods. some good dick wouldn't have fixed him but it would've made him found a considerably gayer cult at least

Phrases like, "it did rack my soul with inexpressible horror", "Oh, thought I, that I could be banished and become extinct both soul and body", and "for three days and for three nights was I racked, even with the pains of a damned soul", and "have mercy on me, who am in the gall of bitterness, and am encircled about by the everlasting chains of death" seem like raw lines from classic literature but no. Alma 36.
