AN INCOMPLETE LIST: THINGS I LOVED ABOUT THE RWRB MOVIE
Henry complimenting Alex’s cologne in the storage closet
The way Henry pauses and gives a look after Alex asks “have I surprised you in any way?”
The way Henry is looking at Alex when Pez is telling Nora “you are the most exquisite woman I have ever seen in my life”
The way Alex is so distracted he forgets who he’s talking to because Henry is in his sightline
Alex nervously trying to figure out how to stand before Henry comes into the red room
tHE WAY THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER WHEN HE COMES INTO THE RED ROOM
The look Henry gives Alex when he walks out of his bedroom i.e. “I am very, very gay”
“And I thought Alexander Gabriel Claremont-Diaz was a mouthful” “He is” and the fucking LOOKS
“Can he ever belong to someone else?” “Only momentarily”
“Would it make a difference if I told you not to see him again?” IMMEDIATE NO
Alex at the beginning saying royalty in the 21st century is so antiquated…..Henry saying the same thing to Bea later
“I would never call you a coward”
The SHIT-EATING SMILE Alex gives Henry in the V&A when he’s putting his arms on his shoulders and making him dance, the little shit
HISTORY, HUH? BET WE COULD MAKE SOME
Henry waking up next to Alex the next morning and his lil smile and the way he leans into Alex’s arm around him
Alex finally calling him HRH when he’s telling the world he loves him
Zahra’s face pretty much the entire movie but especially when Alex is literally waxing poetically about Henry’s eyebrows
Also how curly Alex’s hair is in that entire scene
The fact that Alex is wearing his ring
LOVESICK HOMOSEXUALS
Touch me and die
BABY
& Henry’s sweet relieved baby face after he hears that
Collapsing on the stairs like the drama queens they are
THE FACT THAT ALEX IS WEARING HIS RING
Alex watching Henry play piano like the sun shines out of his ass and he has a vitamin D deficiency
Yankee Doodle
Alex’s slutty ass tight shirt
Alex’s pecs (I’m fine)
Henry’s smile when he notices Alex wearing his ring and fiddling with it in the same way he used to
They went out onto the balcony and they cried and I cried
CASEY MCQUISTON, PRESIDENTIAL SPEECH WRITER EVERYBODY
Yellow roses
That long ass hug
Henry looking like a lost little puppy on the stage until Alex takes his hand
OPEN HEARTED, FEARLESS, AND ALIVE

I have a few ask options if you don’t mind? for my man and loml chrollo lucilfer
1) yandere Chrollo with a really cute and sweet darling who loves the colour pink and her whole bedroom is pink and so is her personality, so he kinda fawns and dotes over her and treats her like glass
2) yandere chrollo with a witty sarcastic darling whose nen has been taken away, and they’re at the beach for a fun day
3) yandere Chrollo with a darling who usually begrudgingly shows affection but she’s been hit with an aphrodisiac from some enemy of Chrollo’s or something and so shes drooling for Chrollo and any touch he’ll give and he ofc loves that
.。*♡ A/n: Those were all interesting ideas but being sarcastic to Chrollo made my brain ache in a good way so I'm going with that idea here, darling! Plus shout out to that darling that said it would be funny if the reader had a more Gen z vocabulary, bcs this got hilarious 😂
.。*♡ Tagging: @kurtswld
You sit on the warm sand, the waves crashing rhythmically in the distance, the sun bright overhead. It would be a beautiful day at the beach if not for the man lounging beside you, casually reading a book as if he hadn’t practically kidnapped you here.
Chrollo looks calm, almost serene, but you know better. Behind those dark eyes is a predator, waiting, watching, and ready to strike if you step out of line.
You sigh dramatically, tilting your head back and letting the sun soak into your skin. “I can’t believe you dragged me out here for some... ‘fun in the sun’ nonsense. What’s next? Building sandcastles? Catching crabs and shells?” You glance over at him with a smirk, waiting to see if your sarcasm will get a rise out of him.
Chrollo barely lifts his eyes from his book, but the faintest smile tugs at his lips. “Would you rather I kept you locked up inside?” His tone is smooth, unbothered, almost teasing. “I thought a change of scenery might lift your spirits, plus every human being needs some vitamin D.”
“Oh, wow, how considerate of you,” you deadpan, rolling your eyes. “You take my Nen, kidnap me, and now you’re trying to act like my sugar daddy or something. Real ‘slay,’ Chrollo.”
This time, he looks up, and there’s a glimmer of amusement in his gaze. “Slay?” he repeats, as if tasting the word. “Ah, yes. That’s what you say when someone does something impressive, right?”
“You got it, boomer,” you quip, knowing full well that calling him that would only serve to annoy him. You can’t help but grin when you see his eyes narrow slightly. “I mean, if ‘impressive’ is synonymous with ‘murderous psycho who likes playing with his food,’ then yeah, you’re totally slaying.”
He leans closer, setting the book down, and you can feel the shift in the air — the way his attention sharpens on you, even though his expression remains relaxed. “Careful now, darling. I might start thinking you enjoy pushing my buttons.”
You swallow but hold your ground, despite the little thrill of fear creeping up your spine. “Oh, yeah, this is my dream vacation, Chrollo. #KidnapGoals. Maybe I’ll even post about it, if you ever let me have my phone back.”
Chrollo chuckles softly, the sound low and dangerous. “You’re witty, I’ll give you that. But let’s not forget why we’re here. I could have brought you anywhere, yet I chose a place where you could relax. Perhaps you should show a little more gratitude.”
“Gratitude? Pfft, okay, sure. ‘Thanks for ruining my life, now let’s go get ice cream.’” You shoot him a mockingly sweet smile, winking at him while you had the chance. “Honestly, I think you’re the one who needed this beach day. Trying to remind yourself what normal people do for fun?”
Chrollo’s smile widens, and it sends a chill through you. “If I wanted to know what normal people do, I wouldn’t be here with you, darling. But I do enjoy your company. Even if you insist on using those bizarre phrases.”
You can’t help but snort. “Yeah, ‘cause I’m such a vibe, right?”
He tilts his head, considering your words. “Indeed. A most intriguing... vibe.” He leans closer, his lips almost brushing your ear, and your breath catches. “But don’t think I’ve forgotten how you keep testing my patience. There are limits, even for you.”
The warning is clear, but you refuse to let it dampen your spirit. “Noted. But if I’m stuck here, I might as well have a little fun, right?”
He pulls back, still smiling, but his eyes are dark, dangerous. “By all means, darling. Have your fun. Just remember, I’m the one who decides when it ends.”
You force yourself to grin, even as your heart pounds loudly on your chest. “Oh, don’t worry, Chrollo. I’m having a blast. Really. #LivingMyBestLife.”
For a moment, there’s silence between you, the sound of the waves filling the space. And then he chuckles again, softer this time, almost as if he’s genuinely amused. “I do enjoy your spirit,” he murmurs, his voice low. “It makes you all the more interesting to keep you around.”
You know better than to push your luck further, so you settle back on the sand, trying to enjoy the sun while you can. Because with Chrollo, you’re never sure how long these moments of “normalcy” will last before he decides to tighten the chains again.
And his smile is far too scarier to look at for more than 5 seconds. You would rather not look, nor hear him chuckling.

self love in age regression.
making yourself a small meal even when you don't feel like doing so
giving urself reminders to take your meds/eat
telling ur carer when you need to take a nap so you don't crash throughout the day
give urself a hug, it may seem silly but it may feel good! while ur standing up or laying down.
emptying your head, maybe it's the end of the day. you could write ur thoughts, type them down into a notes folder, even babble then out loud to ur carer or to nobody. I talk to myself and I feel rlly good after verbalizing my thoughts
quiet time! sometimes you need to decompress. if u don't like complete silence maybe an asmr or soft music in the background. it helps me when I wanna have some me time
get some sunlight! sun can help with dopamine if gotten first thing in the morning and even depressing thoughts. (vitamin d supplements can be used if u live in a cloudy/gloomy area)
please take w a grain of salt, this is from my experience

Love Can Burn Like A Cigarette
Pairing: Eddie Munson x F! Reader (18+)
Content Warning: strong language and profanity, emotional manipulation and toxic relationship dynamics, physical altercation (slapping, shoving), depictions of verbal arguments and intense emotional distress, themes of infidelity and jealousy
Summary: Things aren’t looking good between you and Eddie…
A/N: divider by @saradika-graphics !!! Not that anyone will remember, but I originally wrote and posted this fic back in 2022. I ended up deleting my work and blog for personal reasons, but I’ve decided to rewrite it and post it again. :)
You barge into the backroom of Scoops with Robin trailing close behind, her footsteps quickening to match your angry stride. She opens her mouth as if she’s about to say something, but one look at your flushed face convinces her otherwise. She watches you with concern as you yank off your sweat-soaked shirt, tossing it aside with a huff. The sticky uniform you're required to wear stares back at you from a hook, and you mutter under your breath, wishing you could burn it.
Robin, always the practical one, moves to the mini fridge, fishing out a cold bottle of water. She places it gently on the small, cluttered table between the staff lockers. "Here," she says softly, her eyes never leaving your face. She drops into one of the worn-out chairs and pats the seat next to her, giving you that familiar look that says, I’m here. Talk to me.
You take the offer, sinking into the chair with a long sigh before gulping down half the bottle in one go. The cold water is a relief, cooling you from the inside out. You finally feel the tightness in your chest start to ease.
Robin tilts her head, her brows knitting together with worry. “Okay, so what’s going on? And why do you look like you just ran a marathon?”
“Eddie Munson,” you spit out the name like it’s poison.
Robin’s face scrunches up in disgust. “Ugh. Gross. I swear, if you and Eddie—”
You shake your head, a dry laugh escaping your lips. “No, nothing like that. I’m all hot and sweaty because we got into this huge argument. I refused to get into his van, and he just smirks and says, ‘Fine, walk to work then.’ Can you believe that? Complete asshole.”
Robin’s eyes widen. “Are you serious? You’re like, miles away from here! You could’ve passed out from heatstroke or something.”
You snort. “Well, according to Mr. I-Failed-Senior-Year-Twice, it’s ‘just a short walk.’ The guy’s idea of distance is as bad as his grades.”
Robin chuckles, shaking her head. “Honestly, how do you even put up with him?”
You shrug, feeling a mix of frustration and something else—something like the smallest hint of amusement. “I ask myself that every day.”
Just then, Steve pokes his head through the small service window, trying to look casual, but you know he’s been eavesdropping the whole time. His eyes shift between you and Robin, but he settles his gaze on you with a pointed look. “Eddie’s here. Wants to talk to you,” he says, his voice heavy with the kind of sarcasm that only comes from dealing with Eddie Munson on a regular basis.
You exchange a knowing glance with Robin, who raises an eyebrow. “But, hey, at least he knows when he’s wrong and can apologize,” you suggest, half-convincing yourself as you grab your ridiculous sailor hat. Robin gives you a doubtful look, but you ignore it, adjusting the hat with a small breath to steady your nerves. Maybe this time will be different, you think, as you head out to the front, hoping for an apology but bracing yourself just in case.
Eddie is waiting by the counter, leaning against it with that trademark smug grin plastered across his face. His hair is a wild mess, and he looks far too pleased with himself.
“Hey, princess. How was the walk?” he asks, his tone teasing as his eyes gleam with amusement.
You roll your eyes, crossing your arms over your chest. “Oh, it was great, actually. I’ve heard getting some sun is good for you—something about vitamin D,” you shoot back, your voice laced with sarcasm.
“Glad to hear it,” Eddie replies, barely missing a beat. “Because you’re gonna need another dose. My van’s busted, had to leave it at the garage for repairs.” He picks up one of the flimsy menus from the counter and flips through it like he actually cares what's on it.
You narrow your eyes. “Uh, don’t you mean we have to walk home?”
He looks up with a lazy grin. “No, I mean you have to walk. Funny thing, I bumped into Roxy on my way here, and she very graciously offered to give me a ride home. You remember Roxy, right?”
How could you forget? The mere mention of her name sets your teeth on edge. Roxy, the redheaded bitch who’s been circling Eddie like a vulture ever since you two got together three years ago. She’s got that classic bad-girl look down: leather jackets, tight skirts with ripped fishnets, blood-red nails, and enough black eyeliner to intimidate a raccoon. The kind of girl who fits right into Eddie’s metalhead world. You feel your eye twitch involuntarily, the familiar surge of irritation bubbling up inside you.
You force a smile, though it feels like it might crack at any second. “Is that all you came here for, Eddie?” you ask, trying to keep your voice steady.
Eddie's smirk widens, and you can tell by the glint in his eyes that he knows he’s gotten under your skin. “Actually, since I’m here, how about a small cookies 'n' cream shake and—”
“Oh, would you look at that! We’re all out of ice cream,” you interrupt, your voice dripping with fake cheerfulness. Before he can say another word, you grab him by the arm and start steering him toward the door. “Come back later!”
Eddie doesn’t resist; he’s too busy laughing, clearly enjoying how riled up he’s made you. His laughter echoes down the mall as he disappears up the stairs, probably to waste more of his time somewhere else. You let out an exasperated huff, your patience wearing thin.
Robin, still perched on a stool behind the counter, looks bewildered as she munches on a cookie. “Who’s Roxy?” she asks, her mouth half-full.
“Only the hottest girl The Hideout has ever seen,” Steve chimes in, leaning against the counter and taking a long sip of his shake. His casual tone is enough to make your blood boil, and without thinking, you land a solid punch on his arm.
“Ow! What was that for?” Steve yelps, rubbing his arm and giving you an offended look.
“Get back to work,” you snap, snatching his shake right out of his hand and dumping it into the trash without a second thought. Steve stares at the garbage can, then at you, his mouth agape, but you’re already turning away, too annoyed to care.
—
It’s been five days since the argument, and neither of you has made the first move to apologize. In fact, each day has become a new game of seeing who can push the other's buttons harder, and today, Eddie was clearly in the lead.
You’re wiping down the sticky tables, the sweet smell of melted ice cream lingering in the air, when Eddie strolls in with Roxanne by his side. Roxy’s eyes are all over him, like he’s the only guy in the room, but Eddie seems oblivious to it—or maybe he’s just pretending to be. They make their way to the counter, and Roxy leans over to obnoxiously ring the bell, the sound grating on your nerves.
“What’s a guy gotta do to get some decent service around here?” Eddie calls out, his gaze locked onto you with a teasing smirk.
Robin and Steve are out getting lunch, leaving you alone to man the counter. Lucky you. You toss the rag onto the table and head over to the register. “What do you want, Eddie?”
He leans against the counter, his smirk deepening. “Now, is that any way to greet a paying customer?” he taunts, clearly reveling in the way your eyes flick daggers at Roxy, who’s practically glued to his side.
You let out a sharp breath, summoning your best fake smile, the kind that doesn’t reach your eyes. “What can I get you today?” you say through clenched teeth.
Eddie clicks his tongue in mock disappointment. “Come on, I’m pretty sure you guys have a slogan for greeting customers. Let’s hear it.”
Roxanne lets out a soft, condescending laugh, her lips curling into a smirk.
You bite back a retort, forcing yourself to keep up the act. “Would you like to sail the ocean of flavors? I’ll be your captain today. What can I get you?” The words come out stiff and robotic, practically dragged out of you, but Eddie’s grin only widens.
“Good girl,” Eddie murmurs, low enough that only you can hear, his voice a mix of teasing and something else that sends heat rushing to your cheeks. You can feel your face flushing, but you keep your expression neutral. “Anyway, I’ll have that cookies ‘n’ cream shake. What about you, Rox?”
Roxy leans in closer to him, practically pressing herself against his arm as she gives you a once-over. “I’ll just share with you. Don’t want to eat too much and mess up my figure,” she says, her gaze sliding over you with a smirk that makes your blood boil.
It takes every ounce of self-control not to leap over the counter and throttle her, but you clench your jaw and turn away, focusing on making the damn shake. Your hands move on autopilot, scooping the ice cream, blending it up, and pouring it into the cup, all while you imagine various scenarios where you tell them both exactly where they can shove this order. With forced calm, you place the shake on the counter in front of them and watch as they saunter off to a booth. Eddie's eyes keep darting over to you, but you pretend not to notice, burying yourself in the never-ending list of chores to stay busy and keep from glaring daggers at him.
Just as you start wiping down the counter for the third time, you glance up and catch Roxy reaching over to brush a crumb from Eddie’s lip with her thumb, her touch lingering longer than necessary. Before you can react, the bell above the door jingles, and Steve and Robin come back, a takeout bag swinging in Robin’s hand. She takes one look at Roxy playing at doting girlfriend and makes a loud gagging noise.
Roxy rolls her eyes but doesn’t pull away. You decide it’s the perfect time for your lunch break. Tossing your apron aside, you head for the door, but just as you pass their booth, you feel something hard underfoot—Roxy’s boot. You stumble forward and crash to your knees, the sharp pain shooting up your legs.
“Are you fucking kidding me!” you shout, springing up with fury boiling over. Without thinking, you lunge at Roxy, ready to grab a fistful of that perfect red hair and let loose, but Steve grabs you around the waist, pulling you back.
Eddie jumps up, positioning himself between you and Roxy, his hands wrapping around your fists, trying to contain you. “Babe! Just chill out, it was an accident! You’re making a scene!” he says, his tone somewhere between pleading and annoyed.
“Oh, fuck you, Eddie!” you snap, struggling against Steve’s hold. “You’re the one making scenes, showing up here with that slut!”
“Hey!” Eddie's eyes flash with anger. “She’s my friend, and I’m not going to stand here and let you disrespect her like that!”
You scoff, feeling the sting of betrayal sharp in your chest. “Yeah, a ‘friend’ who’s been trying to screw you for years, Eddie! Open your eyes! You know what? Just go. Get the hell out of here.”
“Fine, we will. Come on, Roxy.” Eddie’s voice is cold, his face hard as stone as he turns his back on you, motioning for Roxy to follow.
You watch, stunned, as he actually starts to leave with her. The disbelief sinks in like a weight in your stomach. You wrench yourself free from Steve’s grip, not wanting anyone to see the tears starting to burn your eyes. Without another word, you storm to the back of the store, your heart pounding with a mix of anger and hurt.
—
Night falls, and it's finally time to close up shop. The last of the customers trickle out, their footsteps echoing through the quieting mall as they make their way to the exits. You, Steve, and Robin work together to pull down the metal gate, the clattering sound signaling the end of another long day.
“How about you join us tonight?” Robin suggests, a hopeful smile on her face as she nudges you. “Steve and I rented a stack of horror movies. We’re having a movie night.”
“Yeah! We can order a ton of pizza, make popcorn, the whole shebang,” Steve adds, clearly trying to sweeten the deal. “Come on, it'll be fun. What do you say?”
Before you can answer, you catch a glimpse of Eddie sitting by the fountain alone, his head down, his fingers tapping absentmindedly against his knee. For a moment, you consider ignoring him, letting things stay the way they are, but something inside you pushes you to try and be the bigger person. You turn back to Robin and Steve. “Give me a second?” you ask.
They exchange a look but nod, standing by the gate as you take a deep breath and head toward Eddie. Just as you’re about to reach him, Roxy appears out of nowhere and slides onto his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck and planting a kiss right on his lips. Your stomach twists into knots.
“Oh my god, Eddie, what are you doing?” you exclaim, your heart pounding in your chest as you step forward, disbelief and hurt surging through you.
Eddie's eyes go wide, and he quickly pushes Roxy away, but she just smirks, satisfied with her little display. “Oh no, baby, we’ve been caught,” she says in a mocking sing-song voice, her eyes glittering with mischief.
“What? No!” Eddie stammers, panic flooding his expression. “Babe, it’s not what it looks like!” His hands reach out toward you, desperate to explain, but you slap them away, the sting of betrayal sharper than anything he could say.
“I hope you have a happy life together!” you shout, your voice breaking as you reach for the necklace around your neck—the one Eddie made for you, his favorite guitar pick hanging from it. You rip it off in one swift motion and throw it at him, the small piece of him that you once cherished now clattering to the ground between you. “We’re fucking done!”
“Baby, please, don’t do this!” Eddie's voice cracks, and he reaches out, grabbing your arm in a last-ditch effort to stop you. His eyes are desperate, pleading, but you’re beyond reason now. Without thinking, you use your free hand to deliver a sharp slap across his face. The sound echoes in the near-empty mall, startling even you.
You yank your arm free, turning away as the sting of your slap leaves a red mark on his cheek. Steve and Robin are at your side instantly, and as you storm off with them, you don't look back. But you can hear the ragged breath Eddie takes, his shoulders trembling as he stands there, one hand cradling his stinging cheek, his eyes wet with tears that spill down his face. He's crying, but you don’t let yourself turn around. Not this time.

WHAT DOES YOUR BODY WANT YOU TO KNOW
This is a general reading based on a collective of people. Take what resonates and leave what doesn’t. If you don’t feel the pile resonates with you, don’t be scared to try another, if it still doesn’t feel right, that’s ok! Maybe our energies aren’t as connected and my readings are not for you.
I do these strictly for fun and educational purposes. I don’t change for these readings and I do not fake readings. I would tell you the cards I got but I pull like 20-30 cards each reading and that just slightly a strenuous task to write them all down lmao.
PICK A CARD READING
I asked my spirit guides to tell me what your body wants you to know right now. Pick a pile and find out what they had to say!
Pile 1 ———> Pile 2 ———> Pile 3
PILE 1
You guys seem to be having issues with your posture out of everything right now, perhaps you are on the taller side and have to lean down, or tilt your head down to see others, or perhaps it’s the complete opposite. I am seeing someone who is struggling with back problems, many of the cards in this spread are holding onto something which is attached to the ground, so you may have a walking stick, or constantly struggle with balance due to pain.
A few of you are sat at your computer for too long, you’re leaning over and messing up your posture. Any of you who are working at computers often, or maybe you’re a streamer or something, make sure to take care of your physical health first, and do hand/wrist exercises, as well as stretches.
Your body is telling you to rest, they’re saying to allow yourself to take a moment off and lean against the wall, or sit down and just let yourself be calmed by the weight of your body being lifted off your shoulders.
There could be a possibility that you need to get something checked out at the doctors, I’m seeing dizzy spells? If you get dizzy when you stand up, I would recommend looking into booking an appointment just to get it checked out, perhaps you will find a cure.
PILE 2
You guys seem to be dealing with a lot physically right now, I’m seeing that your body is begging you to take a break lmao, as if they are trying to tell you that a rest is needed for you to be able to achieve what you want to. I’m seeing a lot of issues, eyes, head, hands, and legs are the main ones for you my pile 2. I see that you are aware of these issues, but you are trying your best to ignore it, as if trying to tell yourself that they are not all so severe and that you are being dramatic, but it seems like you’re not.
I think you’re working hard on something now, and it’s taking a toll on your mental well-being, like if you’re an athlete and in need of working out constantly, it may affect you with the level of pain that you have to deal with due to the aftermath. The back of your legs might be in a lot of pain right now, for this I would recommend allowing yourself to rest up.
Cluster headaches or migraines? Try sitting in a completely blacked out room, only thing to light it will be a red light, and sleep. It’ll help, I promise.
There’s certain sounds that you’re listening to, which are messing with your head, your body is asking you to try some white or brown noise, possibly paired with some theta waves for reparation.
Get yourself outside to enjoy something sporty and fun, I’m heading baseball, basketball, tennis.
PILE 3
You guys are in need of some vitamin D, your body is begging you to get outside and enjoy the sun, you’re nearing summer so I would recommend working out to achieve your summer body goals. Your body is currently rejecting someone, if you constantly feel drained around a certain person, or possibly they’re giving you a headache, or making you sick, that person is who we are talking about. Your body would appreciate if you would let this person go, so you can feel the best once again.
I got the word salad… perhaps eat a salad, whether it’s for health or losing weight, your body is recommending eating better and healthier so you can be the most superior version of you.
Some of you could possibly have a leak or something in your house, there’s a chance that mould could be growing somewhere and it’s making you really tired and fatigued, I would 100% recommend looking into it, even if it’s not a physical thing you can see, it might be growing somewhere unexpected.
Some of you are going through something really rough right now, and you need to allow yourself to mourn this situation, but do not do anything to the point that you are crying yourself until you’re physically drained, make sure to give yourself breaks, and time.

sunny days — yoon jeonghan
————
“aigoo. you really have got to get out of here.”
awoken from the sound, you grunted as you tried to find where the voice was coming from. just near the bedroom door stands your hannie, with both arms resting at both sides of his hips. you whined and closed your eyes as you felt your energy depleting again.
it was monday, and you really have no plans whatsoever to spend the day. after two weeks of being completely eaten out by a very important presentation at work, your two days off were the only ones you had long anticipated. and it’s not that you didn’t miss spending time with your boyfriend, but he’s mostly been here with you on the two weeks you were killing yourself over work, so you’re pretty sure he’s aware of what you’ve been through.
“no, like seriously, when was the last time you actually went out and just basked in the sun?” footsteps nearing your bed, you raised your head again and looked at him with sleepy eyes.
“don’t know and don’t care, hannie. i’m so tired,” you said in a groggy voice, hoping he’d feel even just a little bit of pity and not make you go out. “besides, since when were you the one to be excited to ‘go out and bask in the sun’? last time i checked, you’re the type to hibernate longer than a dormouse.”
fast forward to 40 minutes later, you found yourself getting dragged by jeonghan outside your apartment complex. something about how you needed the sun’s vitamin D for your bones (because you spent the past weeks sitting and grouching on your work desk) was what made him win the argument. where to, still unknown. but since he’s the one who asked you out, you’re pretty confident he’s prepared for this.
-
“lovie, don’t you feel much better?”
as much as you wanted to disagree, fortunately, unfortunately, he’s right. after a few quick trips to several cafés on a bread and pastry hunt, you spent the remaining time before sunset walking along the pathways of a small trail near the mountains. indeed, you needed the sun so badly that you started running excitedly as soon as you saw the familiar trail. to give more context, this was the trail you and jeonghan often frequented when you just started dating. you remember considering this place as a hideaway when you were still not used to adjusting to each other’s schedules. 2 years later and everything remains the same— from the fresh smell of the leaves from the pine trees brought by the cold winds to the glowing scarlet orange sky. anyone who would come here, stressed or not, would be delighted in a minute.
“yes,” you answered shortly. childishly plucking off some of the dandelions disseminated along the field, then sneezing right after you idiotically attempted to smell them. jeonghan couldn’t help but laugh at the behavior. you’re just like a cat.
“someday, i’ll build a house on a place like this. sooo refreshing.”
“wow, really saying that while rubbing your nose off your face? couldn’t be more ironic, love.”
sighing, jeonghan went to your side to gently slap your hands away from your face. he pulled out a handkerchief in his pocket and started using that in an attempt to remove any remaining pollen in your hands. despite your complaining about treating you like a child, he won the argument for the second time on this day.
“ooh, but i do get you, tho. remember that piano scene from crash landing on you? wasn’t that in switzerland? the place looks so chilly and vibrant. maybe we could buy a house there in the future.”
feeling lighthearted, you made a joke, “what, like, you proposin’ to me or somethin’?” while annoyingly raising your brow up and down at him. not quite a common sight, but the faint embarrassed expression he quickly hid behind a grin did not escape your eyes. he playfully swatted your face and stood up.
“who said you’re gonna live with me? i’m just planning to include you in the buying process then i’ll leave you alone here.”
“i’ll secretly write my name as the sole owner then. i’d be so quick you won’t even notice me stealing your pen, asshole.”
your boyfriend laughed again; not because of your silliness but because of the happenstance of what you said. such an irony, truly. he shook his head as he thought.
by the time he was finished having an internal monologue, you were already walking far away from him, still preying on the variety of dandelions scattered wildly at the trail. the previous lassitude on your face is now gone. he eventually caught up to you and stopped you from walking by holding your hand as he pointed the other to the sun that is now in its setting glory. as cliche as it looks like, the day ended with you both being completely entranced by the scene.
unbeknownst to you, somewhere along the streets of lake brienz already lies a home unneeding of your clever plan. you must have forgotten already, he deemed. but it’s still clear as day in his mind how you had mentioned of switzerland before. it’s still a secret though. making sure not to mess up an even bigger surprise he plans on giving you, he grinned again at himself.
jeonghan rarely plans dates, but when he does, it always ends up being more than what your heart can long for.

Imagine… Making Lemonade for Levi on a Hot Summer Day
Fluff
Postwar!Levi Ackerman x gn!reader
Warnings: none
The summer heat was scorching down on you as you stretched out on a lounge chair in your backyard, soaking up some sun. You were enjoying your lazy day, getting some much needed Vitamin D. You flipped through a magazine, your mind still blown by the fact that the glossy pages had entertained people for much longer than you had even known they existed. There were many things in Marley that were completely new to you and every trip to the market was filled with enchantment as you learned of all the wonders that had been held from you in your previous life in Paradis. Now, you and your boyfriend Levi were living it up together in your cottage and you couldn’t be happier. Speaking of Levi, you had a fantastic view of the raven haired man while he was hard at work, tending the garden. His white shirt was clinging to his sturdy back as he dug the spade into the dirt, his arm muscles flexing with each movement. When he was finished planting, you saw him lean back a little as he wiped the sweat that had accumulated on his forehead. The extra moisture made his whole body glisten; he looked absolutely divine and you couldn’t tear your gaze away from him. He cocked his head, finally acknowledging your unbridled interest in his figure.
“Didn’t your parents teach you that it’s rude to stare?”
“There’s no harm in admiring the spectacular view in front of me,” you said, cheekiness apparent in your tone. Levi scoffed and rolled his eyes, getting back to the task at hand, but you could tell that you flustered him a bit with your flirting as the pink tinge that now graced his face wasn’t just from the heat. You tried putting your focus back on your magazine but you started to feel quite parched. You decided to go inside and make some lemonade for yourself and your handsome boyfriend. You gathered everything you needed and began to squeeze the lemons. When you got enough juice, you made a simple syrup on the stove, then poured both of those and lots of water into a giant pitcher, mixing it all up. Taking out two tall glasses, you filled them up to the brim with ice and the lemonade, enjoying the relief of the cold that seeped onto your hand. You left your glass inside so you had an empty hand to open and close the back door and headed into the warmth of the outdoors.
“I got something to cool you down, hottie,” you greeted Levi, this time earning a groan and an eye roll.
“You’re ridiculous, you know that?” he chided, shaking his head when you attempted to wink at him. Though he found your antics silly, he also thought you were completely adorable with the way you showed your affection toward him. Putting words to his feelings was never his forte so having a partner like you, comfortable in expressing your attraction to him, was something he was extremely grateful for. You reached out your unoccupied arm to help steady Levi as he stood up from the ground, his legs shaky from exertion. You held up the glass of lemonade for him to take a sip from, hoping he wasn’t dehydrated from his time under the sun. He put his lips around the straw and took a long drink, eager to quench his thirst.
“Y/n, that’s really good. Thank you,” he said, giving you a close lipped grin.
“Of course,” you replied, brushing a stray piece of hair from his face. He suddenly got shy from the intimacy of your gesture, opting to study the ground instead of your face, though he still leaned on you as you helped him walk over to the patio where a chair in the shade was waiting for him. You sat him down and retrieved your own drink from inside the house before sitting in the chair next to him.
“Thank you for all your work,” you told Levi, a kiss lovingly placed onto his cheek. “The garden is beautiful. The flowers are going to look phenomenal this year.”
“Not as phenomenal as you look now,” he observed, meeting your eyes once more as you gasped.
“Levi! How uncharacteristically suave that was!” you exclaimed, playfully holding a hand over your mouth in faux shock.
“Tch. I can be romantic, you know.”
“Wow, I can’t believe I got the Levi “Loverboy” Ackerman to fall for me. How lucky am I?” you asked, swooning. “Ooh, maybe next time you can garden shirtless and give me a real show. It’ll be like those romance novels Hange always told me about.”
“Just drink your damn lemonade,” muttered the man, failing to hide the tenderness that appeared on his facial features at the sound of your laughter. You couldn’t contain your giggles, trying your best not to choke on your drink and Levi wrapped an arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer and enjoying this carefree moment with you. The lemonade was the perfect drink for the perfect day with the perfect love of your life.

𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐘
“Do you think they’re gonna get too hot?” Bob asks, concern carving his voice into a pitched utterance. “Like--you know, is the sun too much? Should we just take ‘em home?”
Humming from beside Bob, settled onto the old sheets you have laid out across the sand, you just sigh with a fond smile tugging on your lips.
Of course he’s concerned about the babies in this heat--he’s a good father, one that never has to be told what to do or when to do it, one that literally leaps out of bed in the night to change diapers.
“They’re alright,” you assure Bob. “They’re covered! How could the sun get them at all?”
It’s true--the babies are thoroughly covered. Linen shorts and cotton shirts, floppy little sunhats, sunscreen covering every inch of them. Not to mention the umbrellas Bob has staked in the sand behind you--which casts shade over the entirety of your family.
“A freak accident,” Bob tells you, eyes slightly widened when he thinks about one of his precious babies--including you--getting burned. “Maybe we should--!”
“--Baby,” you interrupt, laughing as you glance at him from the top of your glasses. “It’s good that they’re outside! Immunity! Vitamin D! Fresh air! They’ll be alright!”
Bob sighs, glancing down at Jolene, who is sprawled out on your bent thighs, blinking in confusion at the floppy hat that just barely comes down over her eyes. Then he glances at Waylon, whose sound asleep on Bob’s thighs, little milk dribbling down his chin.
“It isn’t too late to tell them that they can meet us at the house,” Bob tells you. He looks up at the sky--endless blue and the sun a fiery hole puncturing the sky. “If we want to do that.”
“We don’t,” you assure him. “And, besides--I think it is too late.”
At that, Bob follows your gaze and turns. Yes--you’re right. It is too late. The squadron is already trailing down the beach, all in their aviators and swimming suits, grinning and zeroed in on yours and Bob’s beach setup.
“Oh, Lord,” Bob says softly, a fond smile tugging on his lips now. “Rooster’s gonna try and steal them, I think.”
“You’re only telling me this now?” You whisper, nudging him with your elbow teasingly.
He has told you before, though, about Rooster’s affinity for children. He can’t get enough of ‘em--he’s always hogging whatever admiral’s child he can get his hands on, playing airplanes or tea party or somehow getting them to nap. And you know, somehow, that Rooster is the goofy looking one with the unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt treading through the sand.
“Sorry, honey,” Bob chuckles.
You see how much this matters to Bob. Never mind that you know him better than anyone else in the world, having met in middle school and fallen in love straight away. Even if you didn’t know him better than anyone, if you were just a fly on the wall--you’d still know. He woke up too early this morning, pacing the kitchen as the coffee brewed, checking in on the twins every few minutes until he heard the first sounds of awakeness. He picked their outfits with you, chewing on his bottom lip. He had the car packed and ready to go before noon. He even called Phoenix a few times just to make sure that plans were still on--and was reminded, a few times, that the plans were absolutely still on.
“You’re shaking the beach,” you whisper, pressing a hand to his bouncing leg.
“Sorry,” Bob mutters, distracted. He stops bouncing his leg. “I’m…I’m really--!”
“--Nervous,” you finish for him, leaning forward to press your warm cheek against his bicep. You kiss him there, soft and sweet, and then sigh. “It’s alright, Bobby. The babies are perfect, the squadron loves you, I’m very personable, the sun is shining, the seagulls are crying! Everything’s gonna be okay!”
“Yeah,” Bob sighs, scratching his head and giving you a quick peck on the forehead. “Yeah, you’re right. I guess I’m just--I don’t know. This is important to me.”
“I know it,” you say, heart swollen. “And I know it’s important to them, too. It’ll be good!”
“It’ll be good,” Bob repeats softly, glancing at you. You’re grinning at him--it makes his shoulders sink. “It’ll be good.”
“Well, well, well,” Hangman says as his feet sink into the hot, hot sand. He grins, squinting even behind his aviators as the sun beats down on his face. “If it ain’t baby on board and his babies on board.”
Bob grins at the sound of Jake’s voice--which surprises him, really. Before that never would’ve happened. But now Bob is back in Lemoore, with you and your babies, and everything feels distinctly better than it did before.
“Hangman,” Bob grins, sticking his hand out for Jake to take. “Good to see you, man.”
Hangman, who’s holding two comically large stuffed rabbits, shuffles to put them under one arm and take Bob’s hand in his.
“How goes it?” Jake asks. Then he glances at you--you’re grinning at him, holding your daughter still. “And this must be the Missus, huh? Pleasure to make your acquaintance!”
Jake crosses the sheets to take your hand, which he promptly brings to his mouth to kiss.
“Don’t mind him,” Rooster says as he appears, toting a cooler and a speaker. “The lack of oxygen in the cockpit really scrambled his brain.”
“Ha-ha-ha,” Hangman says, glancing at Rooster. “Did Bob tell you that Rooster is gonna try and steal them?” Jake asks, pointing to the babies with his brow perched.
“Actually, yes,” you answer, smiling softly. “He did.”
Rooster, rolling his eyes good-naturedly, sets the cooler in the sand before grinning at Bob and stretching his hands out.
“Baby me and I’ll beer you,” Rooster says.
“That doesn’t sound like a fair exchange,” Phoenix sighs, rounding out to clap Rooster on the shoulder before grinning at Bob and you. “Floyds!”
“Hey, Nat,” Bob grins. “How are you?”
“Oh, she’s great,” Payback answers, wiping sweat off his forehead as he sets his beach chair in the sand. “Super, even!”
“She got the aux in the van,” Fanboy explains, resting his elbow on Payback’s shoulder. “Two words: Def Leppard.”
“Lemme see those babies!” Coyote’s voice booms as he jogs up and rounds out the squadron. He’s grinning a broad grin, arms already outstretched.
“Hey, I already called dibs!” Rooster says.
“Yeah, but I got here first,” Hangman grins.
Everyone looks at Bob like he’s the tie-breaker.
“There’s only two of them,” Bob says, laughing quietly.
“You’re gonna have to choose,” Rooster says seriously.
“Here,” you suggest, leaning forward to put Jolene in Hangman’s extended arms. “Take one and pass it on.”
Everyone laughs--it’s music to Bob’s ears. He watches you carefully transfer Jolene into Hangman’s arms, watches him turn absolutely gooey at the sight of your infant daughter. He cups her little head, holds her close to him, grins down at her. You readjust her sunhat and then lean back.
“Oh, she’s too cute,” Hangman says, shaking his head seriously. “Rooster, you’re definitely gonna want to take this one.”
“Here,” Bob says, suddenly feeling more confident in his squadron’s ability than before. He leans forward and bestows Waylon upon Rooster, smiling softly and fondly as he Waylon coos and begins to blink himself awake. “You’re a natural.”
Rooster, delighted, sinks into the sand and holds Waylon close to him.
“Oh, I know,” he says--cocksure as ever. “Look at this little fella. Boy, does he look like a Floyd!”
“Yes,” you agree, laughing. “My DNA didn’t even try.”
As Hangman and Rooster hog the babies, everyone makes their rounds. You shake everyone’s hands, finally put faces to names, and collect all the presents for the babies and yourself. Bob keeps a watchful eye on the babies, but not because he’s stressed--but because he’s enamored that he has two perfect little beings to share with the important people in his life.
The afternoon drifts forward. Your little spot on the beach becomes the spot on the beach, everyone spreading their blankets out and overlapping, coolers abundant and drinks icy. The babies get passed around, hardly even fussing, but always somehow end up back in Rooster’s arms.
Even when everyone decides to get up and toss the pigskins, Rooster ends up staying on the palette with you and Bob and the babies. He’s somehow holding them both at the same time, grinning down at them as they blink up at him.
“You’re ridiculous,” Hangman had said to Rooster, rolling his eyes. “A giant, gushy, manchild.”
“Proud of it,” Rooster had said, cheeks pink.
“They really like you,” you tell Bradley, sighing softly. “I’m still getting used to having all this help, you know? I’m a bit mind-blown right now.”
“Well, I’m here for any babysitting services,” Rooster says. “Hell, I’ll pay you!”
“You’re my favorite already,” you tell Rooster.
Bob looks at you--you’re smiling softly at Rooster and the babies. Your eyes are heavy and your back is curved and he knows that you’re that special kind of tired that is special to new motherhood. Bob understands. He knows. But his heart still squeezes at your sentence. He had to leave only two weeks after they were born, which broke his heart and yours. Of course, because you’re you, you’d put on a very brave face for him. But there were a few times--a few more times than Bob is comfortable with--when you answered his call with a tearful sniffle and a deep sigh.
He reminds himself, as he gazes at you, that things are different now. He’s home for a while--and even after that, he’ll be close to home for the foreseeable future. He’ll never miss bath time or dinner or storytime. He’ll be here, beside you, through it all.
“They really are beautiful,” Rooster tells the both of you. He looks between the two of you, tired and unsure parents with glittering eyes and soft smiles. “You’re doing a damn fine job of it.”
“Thanks, man,” Bob says. “It’s all her.”
You have to swallow hard and roll your eyes, nudging him, to keep from crying pure tears of joy.
Rooster gasps suddenly. “Okay, don’t call me crazy, but I swear to God that Jolene just smiled at me!” He says, elated. “Oh, God. Hangman’s gonna be so pissed.”

reader & gojo go to the beach ? <3
the sun lazily sinks towards the horizon, casting a warm golden glow across the sandy shores. the gentle lull of the waves provides a soothing soundtrack, rhythmically caressing the shoreline. seagulls glide gracefully overhead, their calls blending with the distant murmur of the ocean.
a lone beach umbrella planted in the sand, its fabric fluttering in the breeze like a silent guardian. beneath its shade, a pair of beach towels, offering a perfect vantage point to soak in the serene beauty of the coastline.
spring break. to a college kid, it’s an early christmas present. two weeks off to do absolutely nothing. momentarily, all the worries and stress about exams and final grades are melted off and lazily sucked into the drainage. you spent your freshman and sophomore years going back home to rot in your childhood bedroom. the most vitamin d you got was when your mother tasked you with taking the trash can to the curb.
this year is different, though. you tilt your head to look at satoru who’s focused on applying sunscreen to every inch of your body. he had already completed your upper body and was now focusing on your legs.
the two of you had found a secluded spot on the beach. it was calming, peaceful, a brass change from the constant partying that you were adjusted to. the sound of the waves crashing and the birds chirping filled your ears.
“toru, i think ‘m protected enough.” you mutter when you feel his wandering hands going further into the inside of your thigh.
“jus’ makin’ sure, bun. the sun can get you where you least expect it.” his mouth is by your ear, he’s speaking in a low tone. he’s all steady as if his finger aren’t seconds away from brushing against your clit.
you hold your breath, expecting to feel his finger press down on your clit, but the sensation never comes. instead he huffs out a chuckle and pulls away from you completely. he settles onto his own towel, taking his tedious time rubbing sunscreen into his skin. you watch him with curious eyes, the large hands that have wrapped your neck, hips, thighs一you clear your throat and look away, placing your attention on two birds that were fighting over something buried in the sand.
there’s a playful hum escaping from satoru’s throat, his hum matches the content small smile on his lips. he has on these blacked out sunglasses that are impossible to see his eyes through and you briefly wonder if he can see out of them himself. even with his eyes covered, you can see the content look on his face. long gone is the irritated look he carries around when he’s at school.
“bun, you think you can get my back?” he asks you. before you could give him a complete answer, he’s shoving the bottle of sunscreen into your hands.
you shuffle until you’re behind him. the warm liquid splatters onto your hand and you glance at his blemish free back. you’ve noticed that he has little to no marks on his skin, almost as if he’s a robot fresh out of a ‘my desired boyfriend’ list from a girl who’s never really interacted with a man.
“toru.” you call out to him. your hand is rubbing in circular motions, you make sure to get every inch of his skin. satoru seems to be big on not getting sun burned. “how’d you find this spot?” you ask.
he hums at your question. his fingers are dug into the sand, creating little shapes. a heavy breeze flows past the two of you, his hair, once neatly styled, now takes on a carefree appearance, swept up in the whims of the breeze. sunlight peeks through the whiten highlights, giving the disheveled hair an ethereal look.
“mom used t’take me here.” his voice is wavering. the cocky and absolute front he puts up is no where to be found. instead, there’s a twinge of sadness lingering behind his words.
you rub the back of his neck, watching as he flinches before relaxing again. “did you guys come here a lot?”
“yeah.. once her and dad got divorced she said only the water calmed her down.” he’s no longer drawing shapes into he sand, now he’s picking it up and letting it flow out of his hand to reform with all of the others bits.
you hum at his words, the sunscreen is long gone off of your hands. now, you’re just rubbing his skin as an act of comfort.
“maybe.. you could’ve invited her to join us.” you offer.
satoru laughs. it’s forced and not satoru like. almost as if he’s laughing at you and not with you. subtle heat rushes to your cheeks causing you to bite down on your lip, feeling a sense of embarrassment.
“she’s too busy having her head up my stepdad’s ass. if she came, her husband would come, and then—my stepbrother.” the way he says stepbrother makes your eyebrows rise in confusion. the word holds so much disgust, you can’t help but to wonder what happened between the two of them.
“you have a stepbrother? that’s cool, i’m an only child. single mom, abusive dad, no friends. i was destined to be a pushover.” you joke. he can tell that the humorous tone you’re using is a cover up.
“be lucky you had your mom’s attention. and that some guy and his son didn’t take it.” satoru sighs and drag his fingers through his hair, careless of the sand getting mixed into it.
the energy has shifted and satoru hates that. he suddenly stands up, stretching and letting out a loud groan. you look up at him, still in your previous position from rubbing his backside.
“up, bun. we didn’t come to the beach t’be sad.” he laughs and you find yourself giving off a grin.
you stand up, dusting off pieces of the sand that chose to stick to your skin. you look up at satoru, only to see him looking at the sky. there’s a sly grin in his lips.
“what are you thinkin’ about?” you ask curiously.
“jus thinkin..” he hums. “what’s something birds do?”
you give him a confused look. “they fly—ohmygod satoru put me down!”
“who’s satoru? huh?” he asks teasingly. he’s etching closer and closer to the awaiting water.
“toru.” you correct yourself. you try to grip onto him which proves to be futile.
“nope.” he pops the p obnoxiously.
he doesn’t give you a chance to call him something else. suddenly you’re splashing into the water, the water surrounds you and you on instinct hold your breath and squeeze your eyes shut. your heart drums in you chest, maybe you’re too panicky because the little control you did have slips and you begin thrashing your limbs in a desperate attempt.
just as quickly as you were dropped in, you’re pulled out. your can’t feel any air in your lungs and you’re desperately clinging onto consciousness.
satoru places you onto the sand. he’s screaming your name, your actual name and not a pet name, in desperation. his hands are gripping your body, there’s a tremor in his actions.
“baby! fuck!” he looks around the area desperately, but to his dismay the closest thing is a seagull with a piece of trash in its mouth.
he’s knocked out of his thoughts, when he sudden hears a girlish laugh. he looks down at you, your eyes are no longer closed and you’re breathing.
“the look on your face!” you wheeze out. clutching your stomach.
“who the hell jokes like that?!” he screams out defensively. he was quite literally trying to find ways to explain the cause of your death without him being the bad guy.
“that’s—” you breathe in, “that’s why you don’t just drop people into large bodies of water!” you lecture.
he pouts at you. you had scared the hell out of him!
“you were so scared.”
“was not.”
“you were!”
after hours of playing in the water and sand. the sun said its goodbyes and went to bed. you and satoru took that as a sign to go back to where his brothers were.
you’re eating on a ham sandwich that you packed earlier. you look over curiously at satoru, your doe eyes having a gleam in them. he’s carrying the large beach bag, for him to be athletic he almost seems to be struggling.
“you need help, toru?” you ask.
“‘f course not.” he shakes his head dismissively. “the hell did you pack in here? feels like i’m carrying bricks.” he complains.
“beach stuff.” you shrug. you gesture your sandwich up into satoru’s face, he doesn’t hesitate to take a bite out.
“i had a lot of fun today. thank you for bringin’ me.” you suddenly feel shy as you give your thanks.
“you’re welcome, bun. i had fun too.” he smirks, “i think.. we’ll have even more fun when we get back to the beach house.”
at his words, there’s a slight pep in your step. you had to ogle at him shirtless for hours! for the remainder of the walk, there’s a pulse in between your thighs. you could feel yourself getting wet just from the thought of him fucking you.
“can’t wait, daddy.” you hum, excitedly.

Do you need some Vitamin D? (Incubus! William x Oblivious! F! Reader) [Part 4]
~Hello all! Thank you so much for your support on this absolutely wild fic! Some of you have mentioned how you really like Will being a big ol' bunny when it comes to his mannerisms, so I thought I'd throw more in there!~
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* Want more or something different? *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
@ruh--roh-raggy xp-doggy redbunny03 @marigold-petalz @seviliet @astinkerofarat @iamnotwiddle @imtiredshow
CW: 18+ MINORS DNI. Fluff, age gap (Reader 20's - William Afton 40's(?)), teratophilia, meet-cute, punny pick-up lines, scenes of working out, minor porn-logic, ditzy! reader, could be classed as bimbo! reader?, size-difference, flirting, monster-lover, sexual innuendos, Monster! AU
There weren't many boxes or bags to move from William's car into his house. Although you had gasped when you saw it coming up the gravel driveway for the first time.
The house was a little older, although you could faintly make out where there had been some exterior additions and renovations, though it seemed that enough time and care had been put in to try and make them blend with the original house as seamlessly as possible. Pale blue wooden siding and a white painted porch, it felt like some quaint little house you might find in a suburbs rather than down a separate road and hidden away by woodland.
"The woods are my land too, actually if you walk about an hour that way," William pointed off to some vague direction into the woods as the sun began to dip lower in the sky, almost obscured by the tree-line. "You'll find Henry's house. He has quite a lot of woodland too, we're both something of...nature enthusiasts." You didn't notice his face dropping slightly as he covered the secret he nearly let slip.
"Do you get many animals around here then?" William shook his head and shrugged as he manhandled two boxes at once, despite your protests.
"Occasionally you hear something crashing about in the undergrowth, probably just a cougar. Stay inside if you hear anything like that though, don't need you getting eaten like the dessert you are." He chuckled, and you stared at him for a moment before laughing and shaking your head.
"Gee, way to comment on how much sugar I eat Mr. Afton! I know I need to loose a bit of-"
"You need to loose nothing, bunny. I think you look pretty just as you are, I'm sure a lot of boys do too." You blushed at the comment, thinking of it as more fatherly than anything else, picking up the bag with your clothes and heading inside whilst William nudged open the front door with his foot.
Inside the house was surprisingly warm and cozy whilst still remaining spacious. High ceilings that could easily have been eight feet tall, wooden beams integrated into the plasterwork across the ceiling to support the floor above, the walls a warm off white and the furniture that could see in the lounge looked well worn and comfy as well as quite large. But you supposed that William Afton was a tall and broad man, everything was sized to him rather than yourself, so of course it looked huge.
"I'll give you a tour around in a moment, but I want to show you to your room so you get settled in. I'll order take-away if you like?" Tilting his head to one side slightly as he observed you, making sure you weren't struggling with the bag you were carrying before making his way up the stairs, leading you up the hardwood staircase and onto the second floor.
"As long as it isn't pizza. Don't get me wrong, I love Freddy's, and the pizza is good but..."
"Oh no, I totally get it, you eat it during your breaks, you take some home at the end of your shift if there's leftovers. I was thinking Chinese food?" You breathed a sigh of relief that he understood and you nodded enthusiastically as he pushed open a door with a sturdy shoulder.
"Sounds amazing, all that would be needed to finish off as the perfect night would...well one, not be being evicted...but a warm blanket and shared popcorn with a cheesy horror movie...and to share some good company." You shyly suggested, biting at your lip as you wondered if William would even pick up on what you were saying, the older man hummed and his nose twitched slightly as he tapped his foot lightly.
"Well, I have plenty of blankets, and you can always invite a friend around if you want. I know you and Claire get on well?"
The room itself seemed a little smaller than most that you had caught a glimpse of as you moved through the house, but it was still pleasant. The walls were pale yellow and the single bed was made up in a white duvet cover like the one you had at your apartment. A small TV was set up on a dresser at the foot of the bed, and it was plenty big enough for both of you to stand in as William put the boxes down carefully. You couldn't help but feel a pang of self-pity that of course William didn't notice you flirting with him, he was older than you, more experienced and probably didn't see you as anything other than a friend at most, just an employee at the most realistic level.
"I'll let you get unpacked, and I'll order us some food. Probably change too, since I'm still in work clothes, oh!" Knocking his head lightly with his rough knuckles as he smiled down at you. "Bathroom is next door, it's a shared one for the floor and the master bedroom, so just...knock? I'll keep the door locked if I'm in there." And with that, he squeezed past you and disappeared back down the stairs, hearing his heavy footsteps on the creaking floorboards and leaving you standing on your own in your new temporary home.
Sighing, your shoulders slumped and you grabbed the bag roughly, setting it on the bed and pulling out the items you had packed to put them in their proper places. It was going to be a long time in the Afton house, of that you felt certain.
You sat back in your chair at the dinner table that William had set out for your dinner, feeling absolutely stuffed after he had ordered a selection of just about anything you could have thought of and more. William had eaten almost twice as much as you, and you found yourself wondering where he put it all beside the firm looking dad-bod he had always sported. There was little conversation during dinner, both too hungry and enticed by the delectable spread to bother trying to make small talk, but you felt you needed to break the silence.
"Thank you again, Mr. Afton, that was great." Afton gave you a lopsided smile and chuckled as he placed a hand on his stomach. He'd changed into a tight fitting t-shirt and sweatpants, which you had had to tear your eyes away from his broad and strong looking body several times whilst you ate, at least getting away with the flush to your cheeks that he interpreted as somethings being too spicy for you.
It was certainly the most comfortable you'd ever seen the older man.
"Please, call me William when we're alone. I feel so fucking old when you keep calling me 'Mr. Afton'." He groaned playfully, smiling as your own features softened into a smile back. You thought the slight dimples you could see through the salt and pepper hair were rather charming.
"Wills."
"Don't push it, bunny." Shaking his head as you laughed, watching how you leaned forwards onto the table with your elbows propped up, head resting on your hands as you looked at each other down the table. He took the opportunity to look at how your hair picked up the light and affected the colour of it, the way your skin reacted when you flushed red, the soft curve of your features compared to his rougher, more angular ones.
But he could see the tiredness behind your eyes and he smiled softly. Heavy food and the warm conditions he liked to keep his home in making you sleepy as you blinked rapidly, realising just how tired you were from the day.
"Why don't you get some sleep, sweetheart? I'll phone in tomorrow for you if you like, take a chance to get some rest. It's been emotionally draining for you." His deep voice was warm too, and it made you want to curl up and fall asleep to it, you decided that if he could give you one of those hugs like you'd gotten earlier whilst he was at it, you would have been perfectly content.
You knew that was never going to happen though.
"You're right Mr.....William." Catching yourself at the last moment and feeling the heat creeping back into your cheeks as he chuckled, standing up together and William let one of his large hands wander from his side to the top of your head, gently patting your head and ruffling your hair as he gave you a soft, crinkled eyed smile. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight, little bunny. I hope that you sleep well."
"And you William."
He hated to see you go, but loved to watch you leave. Watching as you climbed the stairs before he sighed and started to gather up the dishes, putting them into the dish washer if they were empty and packing up leftovers and sticking them in the fridge. Tapping his foot after a moment or two, he ran his fingers through his hair and felt his ears coming back through, letting them hang as he rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck. He needed to spend a little less time in completely human form.
Heading outside, he took a deep breath in as the cool air hit him. Feeling his fur pressing against his t-shirt as his body relaxed and he lost some of his humanity, or at least his human appearance. Lopsided rabbit ears, his teeth sharp and nails long points, nose flatter and broader as it twitched whilst he shoved his large, rough hands into his pockets and pulled out packet of cigarettes.
Just as he lit one and put it to his lips, his phone vibrated in his pocket. Grumbling to himself, he took a drag before he picked it up and tapped the screen carefully, considering his sharper, longer nails before awkwardly holding it against his ear.
"Yes?"
"Well hello to you too, Afton, so nice for you to answer me." William rolled his eyes and breathed in deeply as the end of the cigarette burned brightly against the night sky. Listening to the staticky voice on the end of the line as his ear flickered slightly.
"You've only called once, dickhead, spit it out." He growled, hearing the choking, wheezing laugh before he could almost imagine the smug man on the other end shaking his head.
"Feisty! Well, I would be too if I had such a sweet little thing like that staying in my house, I'd be a little defensive too." The fur on the back of William's neck stood on end and he straightened up, looking out into the dark with his purple eyes, blinking slowly as he let out a low growl. Watching, waiting for anything to move.
"Are you fucking stalking me, Dave?"
"Stalking is such a strong word, William. I prefer....Taking a vested interest." The voice crackled over the phone and William could practically hear the sleazy confidence oozing through as he stamped his foot against the porch, thumping unhappily.
"Take your vested interest and fuck off, if I find so much as a hair out of place on her-"
"Calm, breathe. I can't step foot inside now, your little morsel has protected both you and her from my curiosity." William took another drag on his cigarette before stubbing it out on the porch balcony, twisting and grinding down the embers like he imagined doing to Dave in that moment in time.
"The only curiosity you have is in whether or not she knows about us. And the answer is no, she never will either." William heard Dave tutting and sucking his teeth in return.
"Never is far too definite for things like us, you should know that by now, Afton." The line went dead and William was once again left to the silence and the dark outside of his home. Listening intently for a few moments longer before thumping again and heading inside, nose twitching as his brow creased in frustration with his unfortunate acquaintance.
You woke up to sunlight streaming through the blinds to your small room, groaning and gently rubbing your eyes with the heel of your palm, you sat up and grabbed the Spring-Bonnie plushie from where it had fallen on the floor during the night, looking up at you sadly from the warm hardwood. You felt almost sleep drunk from how deeply you had slept, but as you put your feet down on the warm floor and padded out, you swore you smelt breakfast.
Using the bathroom to freshen up and heading downstairs, you were quite surprised to see William already up and stood in his kitchen, his broad back turned to you and allowing you a rare moment to observe him in his natural habitat.
He was wearing the same t-shirt from the night before, and you took the time to admire how it hugged the broad curves of his shoulders and revealed the muscular definition in his back. The way the light caught his greying hair and made it look lighter, the slight beard he kept looking slightly like he had recently shaven. You had been right though, you could smell breakfast cooking, mixed with spiced cologne and what you presumed was his shower-gel as he seemed to pause before turning around. Giving you a large, warm smile as he spotted you, his glasses perched on his nose and adjusting them with one finger as he gestured for you to come over.
"Good morning sleepy-head! How did you sleep?" You hadn't painted William Afton as a morning person, but you were happy to be proven wrong as he carefully held a pan with various fried breakfast bits inside.
"Whatever mattress you have is so soft..I don't think I've ever slept on anything that comfy before! How did you sleep?" Watching as William shrugged, running his free hand through his slightly messy hair and slicking it back into more of it's usual position.
"Eh, didn't sleep much myself, bunny, I'm just an insomniac I guess." He smiled, cocking his head to one side and plating up quickly now that you were up and about, he hadn't wanted to disturb you, but his mind had been left all too wired after the phone call the previous night, the slight dark circles under his steely eyes betraying that fact. "Come on, eat up! I thought that you needed to eat something delicious after that shit-show yesterday."
You raised an eyebrow at him, having never heard your boss swear, at least in front of the employees. But you dug in happily and moaned in satisfaction as you tasted it, quickly moving to wolf it down in a way that made William beam with pride that you liked his cooking so much. He hoped that he would be able to take care of you whilst you stayed with him, maybe plant the idea that he could take care of you a lot more if you let him, but he kept his expectations tempered as he chewed his lip, feeling his teeth sharpening a little as he stared at you for a moment in thought.
"What's the plan for today then? I know you're not on the rota, so I was wondering what you wanted to get up to." Tilting his head to one side, you paused for a moment in thought, slowing down your ravenous chewing before thinking of a suitable reply to the question.
"Well, I'm going to enjoy some good company, maybe go to the library and get out a few books, be out of your hair for a while."
"Oh bunny, you can be in my hair as much as you like. I like having my hair touched." William caught himself off guard with how direct he was, but you gave him that sweet smile and giggled like it had gone well over your head again.
"Well, I'm not exactly tall enough to fix your hair." His heart stopped for a moment, was this finally it, the moment he had waited for since he decided to start flirting with you, had one landed?
"It's okay bunny, I'll be happy to get on my knees for you, plus I can imagine the view is very nice down there." Chewing the corner of his lip, he watched your expressions, and feeling disappointment as your expression turned confused.
"I mean...maybe? But it must be nice to see the world from so high up!" Offering him the clueless smile that William Afton had to admit that he adored, even if he knew it was never going to end up as he wanted it.
"You know what? Never mind, how about we get some clothes on and we pick up some groceries and ice-cream for later?"
"Oh, okay! I really like-" spouting off your favourite flavour and your preferred brand as William gently shooed you up the stairs, but not before thumping his foot and twitching his nose behind your back. Frustrated that perhaps he really was the world's worst incubus.

The Love Affair
A/N: Hey everyone! Here is the long awaited second part to my Levi fanfic one-shot series. I hope you all enjoy. Plz reblog and like.
"I think you should get back to your bunk before daybreak," (Y/N) yawn, limbs tangled together. "Why bother, I'll just wear my clothes from yesterday. No one will notice." "I will."
-Time Skip-
"Well, Caption (Y/N)! It's so nice to see you while the sun is you and shining." Hange reaches over to give (Y/N) a big hug, squeezing her tightly, "I feel like it's been forever since I have saw you. Thought you had turner into a vampire for good this time." A loud chuckle sounds from Hange. "Yeah, well I could use some vitamin D these days. It's not a big deal." (Y/N) looks around the dinning hall, trying but failing to spot her lover. (Y/N) leans over to Hange and askes, "Hey, have you seen that new cadet? What was his name?" (Y/N) tried to name that could be it but failed purposefully. "Oh! Do you mean Levi? He usually is here by now, I wonder why he isn't eating?" Hange looked puzzled as they looked around the room, tiring to spot the new cadet during breakfast. "Oh well, he will show up eventually. I'm going to my office to work on some paperwork, don't wait up." (Y/N) smirked at her friend as she left the dining all.
Walking down the corridor to her office (Y/N) felt as if she was being followed. Occasionally turning her head behind her shoulder she starts walking faster, hoping to reach the sanctuary of her office. Two doors down from her office she feels a hand on her shoulder and gets pulled into a supply closet. "Unhand me at once, if the commander hears about this you surely be discharge or moved to a different unit, how dare you..." (Y/N) locked eyes with her capturer to find her lover, Levi, staring back at her. "I doubt that you would have me removed from your unit." Levi scuffed at your lecture to who you assume to be a low rank cadet. "I have a problem that is both of our problems though." Levi proceeded to pull his shirt down to expose his neck. Blue and purple marks were spread around his gorgeous neck. (Y/N) smiled widely, "What? You don't like me marking what is mine?" "That's not the problem and you know it."
"I know, I know. No marks were other people can see. But what fun would that be." (Y/N) faked a pout, "You look so cute with them anyways, why not show the scouts that you could make the caption with a death wish soft?" (Y/N) leaned on the wall, slumping awaiting the lecture that Levi was bound to give her. "What happened top us keeping our relationship private? What happened about you caring about your title? They could de-rank you if they knew that we were sleeping together." Levi was fuming, fi steam could come out of his ears it would. He had been upset with his lover before. The many death wish mission she would go on, not guaranteeing that she would come home. But this? "How are you so relaxed about this?" (Y/N) looked about the room and pondered what to say. "I'm put during that daytime now. " (Y?N) looked at Levi, tears in her eyes, "Hange has already a=said something about it, matter of time before Erwin notices and questions why I'm up and socializing with the day time people." (Y/N) wipes her eyes, looking way from Levi now she continues, "Before we know it, it will. get out. I want to be in control of it though." Levi looks at (Y/N) with a heartfelt expression. He understood the pain and fear that she was feeling bout people finding out about their relationship. "(Y/N), I understand but that does not mean we can be reckless." Levi leans into (Y/N), now both leaning on the wall. Levi leans into kiss (Y/N), a small kiss that only last a few seconds. "I'll be more careful."
-Time Skip-
Levi was sneaking away from is bunk, making his way to (Y/N)'s room. As he sneaks past the halls with ease he runs into Erwin. "What are you doing around these parts Levi?" Erwin stops in his tracks to turn towards Levi. "You know sneaking around his frowned upon." Levi looks stunned for a moment, not sur of what to say to get out of this conversation and any trouble her may be in. Before he could utter a work Erwin speaks up again, "You wouldn't happen to be going to she Caption (Y/N) are you?" Levi looks even more stunned, like a deer in headlights. How did Erwin know? Did he know? What was going to do us? "It's okay, go see her. Your secret is safe with me." Erwin started to walk way when Levi finally spoke up, "How did you know I was going to see her?" "She has been up during the day time., What else could be happening besides that she has a lover and is finding happiness with that." Both gentleman walk towards their designations.
The night was filled with passion. Levi and (Y/N) busting with joy as they spent the night together. Sex was not just sex between them, they were made to be together. Like a sign from God himself that there whole lives had been building up to this moment, to there meeting, the camping trip, and now them tangled together in a ball of love and devotion to each other.
As day break came Levi slept in the arms of his lover, safe from the world and it's harsh words. The sun peaked through the window. In the moment that Levi started to open his eyes he knew it was after daybreak and he would not be able to make it to his room. He would have to leave for the day from (Y/N)'s room. Everyone would be able to see him and see that they were in a relationship. Levi starts to shake (Y/N) awake "(Y/N), (Y/N), baby, wake up." (Y/N) rolled over mumbling something under her breath that could not be understood. "(Y/N) I overslept. The sun is out and people are out in the halls. How to do I get out of here without someone seeing?" Levi looked towards (Y/N) for guidance from the older women. ":You could always go out the window and break your arm." (Y/N) looked at Levi with a smile, "No, that would be no good. Guess you'll have to sue the door like a normal person. ":(Y/N) snarked at Levi, it was to early to be dealing with this. "Fine.": Levi throws his arms in the air, defeated, "I'll go through the door like it's nothing."
Levi puts his clothes from yesterday one, he looks disheveled. He cracks the door and looks down the hallway, no one. Good. Levi opens the door and walks though it, slowly closing it as (Y/N) had still been in bed. But as he was about to release the doorknob he hears the cries of Hange, "Levi! What are you doing coming from Caption (Y/N)'s room?" Goddamn it, not now. Not like this. Not because of them. Hange looks at Levi, disheveled and hair out of place. Lips swollen and bleeding from being bitten. Levi staring at Hange with a look of fear they had never seen in him before. Hange then put to and to together as they look at Levi and his hand still on (Y/N)'s doorknob. "Oh my god, are you and Caption (Y/N) courting!" Hange squealed in delight as they ran towards Levi. Hange wraps there arms around Levi and start jumping in the ari, up and down in place. Levi is unamused as he knows now that Hange knows about his relationship the whole survey corps will know in the week. That person could not keep there mouth shut.

Hello! How would yandere twst react to the fact that reader cannot get pregnant in any way, and thinks that she has infertility, but how did it turn out later that it was yandere who suffer from infertility? How hurt will they be by the fact that they will not be able to give what reader wants, who is now demanding an end to their marriage due to their infertility and has already found herself a new candidate by making contact with him?
.。*♡ A/N: Hii anonie! I wasn't sure if you wanted all the characters from the babytrap hcs so I just picked Malleus and Leona, but let me know if you wanted the others too I'm more than happy to write them! :D
.。*♡ Warnings: Yandere content, Infertility and talk about pregnancy/children, imprisonment, possessiveness, malleus using his UM
.。*♡ Malleus is determined to try a thousand times if need be, the thought of building a family still circling his mind as he hopes to get you pregnant this time. Several factors may be preventing you from getting pregnant such as stress, lack of vitamins or health problems, so Malleus changes your routine to a calmer one and brings the royal doctors to you to find out what the problem is.
.。*♡ Even though he's a little delusional, Malleus can see that maybe there's a problem he didn't foresee: you're infertile. But even if you're infertile he still loves you dearly, if you can't have kids biologically then he's sure maybe you could adopt.
.。*♡ But when does he find out you're not infertile? Malleus doesn't quite know how to feel, he knows that it only means one thing and that the problem is him. And the world trembles under his feet, the sky is swept clean of any sign of the sun as thunder crashes to the earth, Malleus hadn't considered the hypothesis that he might be infertile and even though royal doctors talk about this or that, he doesn't catch a single word. He can't, he can't give you what you want, he can't fulfill his role as a husband and he fears your reaction to his hypothesis.
.。*♡ That night he comes to lie beside you, quiet, and he holds you tenderly against his chest, stroking your sides and looking at you like it's the first time he's really seen you. And he shares his suspicions about his infertility with you, watching each expression pass over your face, expecting you to yell at him and storm out of the room, but you don't. You stay there and you both tremble in each other's embrace, and Malleus thinks for a second that maybe you don't care either and that maybe nothing will change in your relationship.
.。*♡ But as time goes by he realizes that this is not the case. And one day he enters your shared room to notice that your bags are packed and that you intend to leave, Malleus doesn't need you to tell him why, he knows, deep down he knows why you're leaving him. And he feels a terrible pain go through him, especially when you tell him how you've been exchanging letters with another man and that you didn't want to be with him anymore. And if Malleus were just a little less selfish, maybe he would have let you go and live your dream of having a child, but he can't think of that and he loves you too much to give you up, so he puts you to sleep with his magic, trapped forever inside your own body.
⠀⠀⠀
.。*♡ Leona feels that he has failed you and him, especially if you have high expectations of having a child with him. No matter how many times you try, none of the attempts are fruitful and he can hear the servants' mean comments in the corridors, he can see what those whispers and giggles do to you. Until one day, his mother suggests that one of the two of you may have some problem that prevents you from conceiving and Leona is terrified of the thought. He could grunt and murmur that Cheka bothers him, but he wanted a child and when you married him Leona imagined what that child would be like, would they have your eyes or your smile? Would they be as beautiful and graceful as you?
.。*♡ Knowing that maybe they can't be born because one of you is infertile breaks his heart as much as yours, but he stands strong to support you during this delicate time as you visit the medical wing.
.。*♡ And honestly, the confirmation that he was infertile leaves him stunned and afraid, as if he were just going to be a hated boy again and that no one believed he was worth anything. And he knows well the look of disappointment that passes over your face and it hurts him more than he lets on, he would expect this from anyone but you, this is not something he can control but maybe there is a treatment or something he can do. And he starts to plan as the two of you return to your room.
.。*♡ He knows as he watches you spend time with Cheka or other kids that this is something you wanted to experience and something you won't be able to have if you stay with him, he knows that at some point you'll leave or maybe stay long enough until your relationship deteriorates. He just didn't expect it to hurt so much when it happened, with you throwing divorce papers in his face while announcing loud and clear that you're leaving, that there is another man in your heart who can give you what you want and how you've been exchanging letters with him this whole time. But he can't let you go, no matter how much you scream or cry or how much you run from him, you're his and there's nothing you can do or anyone to turn to for help.

I was quite surprised when someone sent me a warhammer request on marshmallow, but here we go.

Lion El’Jonson
Lion's eyes fluttered open. The alarm blared, jarring him from a dreamless sleep. He groggily fumbled along the nightstand, groping in vain until his palm struck the clock itself, knocking it to the floor. Finally, blessed silence.
He rolled over with a grunt, hugging the blanket tighter and started to drift back under. But a relentless pounding on his door shattered the tranquil haze.
"Lion!! Wake up!! You told me to wake you up early today!" came your insistent voice from the door.
Ugh, did he say that? Of course, he must have, you never would have disturbed his rest otherwise. Lion pulled the covers over his head, letting out a petulant growl. He'd finally gotten some leave time, intended to sleep it away after months of grueling deployments. But apparently obligation called once more.
There was an important PR ceremony today, some ribbons and handshakes to help soothe the civvie politicians. A necessary, but not how he wished to spend his brief repose. For a treacherous moment, the stubborn soldier considered ignoring your wake-up call.
But no. You would only escalate your reminders, and he cringed at the thought of what inventive method you might employ next time. Best to acquiesce... for now.
Lion threw off the sheets with a resigned sigh and swung his feet to the floor. Rubbing sleep from his eyes, he padded into the bathroom, glaring at the haggard reflection in the mirror. His beard had grown considerably during his absence, an unruly rug framing the sharp angles of his jaw and cheeks.
He grabbed his trimmer and set to taming the wilderness, meticulously shaping it back into a crisp military cut. Freshly groomed, he tugs on the crisp dress uniform laid out the prior evening. Drab olive tones that do nothing for tired but befit the solemn occasion.
One last lingering look in the mirror confirms his stone-faced professionalism. No one would ever suspect the churning sea of doubts and regrets that dwell behind those cold eyes.
With a resigned sigh, he steps out into the living room. Immediately he's greeted by an unexpectedly enticing sight, you lounging on the sofa in minimal loungewear.
You were sprawled on one end of the sofa, some oversize tee and cotton shorts clinging to your languid form. A tablet danced in your delicate fingers, your face a mask of fierce concentration for whatever design you worked on. Lion couldn't help his treacherous eyes from tracing your curves, taking in expanse of naked legs on a sumptuous display.
On impulse, he crept closer behind your perch, locking onto that elegant neck arching so invitingly. He bent low, baring his teeth ever so slightly as a humid breath rolled across your flesh...
"What are you doing?!"
You flinched bodily, whipping around with wide eyes. Lion recoiled slightly, caught like a schoolboy playing mischief. But your shocked expression melted into an exasperated look as he feigned innocence with lofty indifference.
"Nothing."
Lion cleared his throat.
"You know, you could go outside once in a while. A little sun might be beneficial."
You shot him an icy scowl over the edge of your screen before shrugging elaborately. "I get plenty of Vitamin D, thank you."
He snorted inwardly at the subtle double entendre. Of course you did. Drawing near with an exaggerated sigh, Lion jerked his chin down in clear expectation. You dutifully rose without comment and began smartly knotting his tie, making a few last tidy adjustments before stepping back to appraise your work.
Your bright eyes raked over his crisply-attired form, sparkling with unreadable thoughts before giving a slight nod of approval. "Very handsome. I'm sure they will like it."
"If only..." Lion muttered "I'll be counting the hours until I get cut loose from these."
His gaze subconsciously drifted to the framed awards and photos lining the shelves, stark reminders of his true calling, a life of struggle and valor amidst the echoing guns. And here, he felt like a caged beast, bored, aimless and shackled.
"Speaking of eating..." He turned back to you "What say we go out for a nice steak dinner tonight? I should be done with this whole circus by mid afternoon."
You cocked one shapely eyebrow, unmistakably intrigued. "A prime rib does sound tempting... and you're paying of course?"
"Better than tofu and kale, right?" Lion's eyes crinkled at the corners, indulging his rare playful side. "We could even get a nice bottle of Cabernet to go with it."
You said with a smirk "Wait... Is this a date, sir?"
A delicate flush colored his cheeks for just a moment as he turned away dismissively. "Well, I'd say it's just dinner."
You chuckled "Alright sir, it's time to go.."
He shot you an incredulous look as you give him a wink.
"As if you're one to lecture anyone on getting out more..." He muttered under his breath once the door clicked shut.
But a smile played across his lips as he grabbed his keys and cover, already counting down the hours himself.
Sanguinius
Sanguinius slowly peels open his eyes as the first rays of dawn filter through the bedroom window.
Despite being a morning person in theory, his body protests at the early hour, muscles tight and eyelids heavy from a restless sleep. He drags himself out of the tangled sheets, padding wearily to the bathroom.
The hot shower does little to shake the lingering weariness. It clings to him like cobwebs as he towels off and slips into a plush silk robe, a small indulgence. He catches a glimpse of himself in the foggy mirror, pausing for a beat. His chiseled features and athletic physique betray no hint of the pain that gnaws at his insides lately.
Pushing those nagging thoughts aside for now, Sanguinius drifts out to the kitchen. He uncorks a deep Cabernet Sauvignon decanter to pour himself a generous glassful. Not exactly the most typical breakfast beverage, but he's long past caring about societal conventions.
When he turns to join you at the dinette table, he's greeted by the sight of his disheveled roommate cradle-hugging a steaming coffee mug. You're barely awake yourself, straggles of hair framing your bleary eyes. Despite your almost comical morning disarray, you're still the most gorgeous thing Sanguinius has ever seen.
Instinctively he opens his arms for an embrace, a silent good morning routine. You merely stare at him through slitted lids before downing the last of your coffee. Then, with neither word nor warning, you thrust the empty cup into his hands and turn to go.
Sanguinius is left bemused for only a heartbeat before chuckling softly. He rinses the mug out, refilling it with the last of the coffee and offering the fresh cup which you accept with a grateful nod. You vanish into the living room, curled up on the sofa mere moments later. Your bright LED monitor casts a blue glow across those striking, angular features, already immersed in rendering textures for another character model no doubt.
Padding over, Sanguinius gingerly retrieves his portfolio from beside the armchair. He sinks back into the plush cushions, leafing through page after page of Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces. Yet he can't seem to focus on the brushwork or chiaroscuro artistry today.
He finds his gaze drifting from the pages time and again, stealing glances at the beauty, studying the delicate shape of your lips, the color of your eyes, the effortless fluidity with which your graceful fingers fly across the keyboard.
"Don't stare at your phone and eat at the same time," He chides warmly as you start scrolling through work emails with one hand. "You'll choke."
"Fair point, from the man sipping wine at 7 AM."
You arches one shapely eyebrow but doesn't deign to reply further. Sanguinius drains his own goblet and rises to clean up. He takes his time, puttering about the loft tidying this and straightening that, all while keeping you in his sights through stolen glimpses.
Once finished with his little chores, he finds himself drifting over to your place without even thinking about it. You don't seem to notice or mind as he leans over the back of the sofa, studying your latest creation in-progress.
"Impressive," Sanguinius murmurs, genuinely awestruck by the master-level craftsmanship. "Truly remarkable."
You pause for a beat, gracing him with the faintest of smiles before turning back to the grindstone, lost in your creative zone once again. He remains looming over you for a long moment, close enough to catch the faint scent of your hair's jasmine essence and feel the soft warmth of your body heat.
Then, finally, Sanguinius straightens up with a heavy, wistful sigh. He pads across to collect his folio and jacket from the armchair.
"Well then, I should get going. I've got a gallery walk-through this afternoon for the new exhibition."
On impulse he leans down, throwing his arms around your shoulders to pull you into a tight embrace from behind. You stiffens for the briefest heartbeat before your body seems to melt and settle into him. He nuzzles his nose into your fragrant tresses for one fleeting, delicious breath.
"I'll see you this evening."
*****
Sanguinius sighs heavily, doing his best to focus on the massive abstract canvases arrayed before him. But despite the confrontational slashes of color and impassioned brush strokes, his mind keeps wandering.
Wandering to thoughts of your legs and hair as wild and as unkempt as the paintings themselves. To the smirking cupid's bow of full lips perpetually pursed in sardonic amusement at his romanticized notions.
A shiver runs down Sanguinius' spine as he recalls their very first encounter in vivid detail...
Perhaps today he might finally dare to put brush to canvas, crafting the masterpiece that's been swirling in his mind for months now.
It may very well be the only art that truly matters in this life.
Roboute Guilliman
The pre-dawn stillness hung heavy over the apartment as Roboute Guilliman stirred awake. His body clock was precisely punctual, never requiring an alarm. But it had become a morning ritual nonetheless.
Rolling over, he lay motionless in the darkness, his soft breathing was the only sound. Exactly four minutes before the jarring beep of the alarm was due, Guilliman's hand shot out and silenced it.
With a quiet sigh, the politician slipped from the bedsheets, feet touching down soundlessly on the carpet. As the sheets were tucked with crisp military corners, he pulled the curtain across the bedroom before retreating.
Down the hallway, he rapped his knuckles firmly on your bedroom door in passing. Just a simple courtesy to avoid catching you if you happened to be awake and roaming.
A low grumbling seeped out from behind the door. Apparently his roommate was still very much entombed in slumber at this hour.
He shook his head with a sigh as he made for the apartment's main living area. You could easily sleep till noon if permitted. But you needed to get on a decent schedule, your deadline for that game company's new character model was rapidly approaching.
Guilliman shrugged into his robe and settled into his daily routine. First a pot of strong coffee set to brew while he goes out to the lobby for the morning paper. The brisk chill of the morning air roused his senses fully.
As the newscasters on the television in the living room prattled about yesterday's legislative victories and this morning's planned protests, Guilliman flipped through the paper's headlines. A frown creased his brow as his eyes scanned snippets:
*...divisive new social policies expected to be blocked yet again as party ties remain locked in stalemate...*
*...public trust in elected officials is at all time low amidst deluge of corruption scandals...*
He shook his head with a weary sigh. The political realities of governance had proven far more vexing than any military campaign ever faced back in his service days. Compromise and incremental change seemed the agonizing order of the day, no matter how dire the situation.
The timer's shrill beep indicated the coffee was ready. Muscle memory took over as Guilliman retrieved the carafe, split the hot brew into two mugs, then poured in the respective milk and sugars to each's preferred taste.
Almost on cue, a sleep-tousled you shuffled into the dining room with a jaw-cracking yawn. Your silk robe hung open, revealing a tantalizing glimpse of the matching negligee beneath.
"Mmmmmorning..." you mumbled groggily, bare feet padding across the linoleum.
Guilliman turned at the exact moment you wrapped your lithe arms around his midsection from behind with a contented sigh. Your cheek nuzzled against the flat planes of his back as he stiffened self-consciously.
"What's for breakfast, hmm?" Your voice was blissfully sleepy, still thick with half-dreams and warmth.
Clearing his throat, Guilliman gestured to the set table with a prim nod. "Belgian waffles and seasonal fresh fruit compote, as requested. With the coffee you prefer."
Your answering hum of delight vibrated through his robe pleasantly. "Love you."
Guilliman felt his face grow warm as you giggled, returning to slather the unappetizing bread-slab with sugary condiments. Best to ignore such needling - especially when you have a point. He couldn't help but spoil you.
… Besides, how many other politicians were roomies with a character model designer? He couldn't be too harsh.
Before he could react further, you released your lingering embrace and flopped bonelessly into your seat. Guilliman blinked, momentarily flushed, before joining you at their customary places across the small table.
They ate in a relaxed quiet broken only by the newscasters' prattling drone. Guilliman couldn't help noticing the elegant, delicate way your lips pursed around each forkful...
A loud slam from their neighbor's door shattered the reverie, making them both jump slightly. He pinched the bridge of his nose with a shake of his head. "Honestly, can people not control themselves for five minutes..."
You reached over to give his clenched fist a reassuring squeeze. "Any luck with the proposed housing reforms? I saw it was on the docket again this week..."
Swallowing hard, he mustered a tight smile. "Well, progress remains...incremental." His eyes flicked to the mobs of irate citizens wielding placards and crude banners on television screens. "The special interests dig their heels in deeper every time."
"Just give it time." Your tone was soothing even through your usual wry inflection. You sipped your coffee thoughtfully, ruby lips leaving a perfect imprint on the porcelain mug. "They're going to feel awfully silly someday for not listening to you."
"I certainly hope--"
Guilliman glanced down at the time on his portable cogitator, eyes widening. "Blast! I'd best get moving if I'm on time for the morning session."
He rose swiftly, tucking in his chair and gathering the dishes in one practiced movement as you watched with bemused detachment. Within moments he was already depositing the load in the sonic dishwasher, suit cuffs neatly buttoned.
At the door, he hesitated with one hand on the knob. Glancing back, Guilliman called over his shoulder, "I may be late this evening. There are deliberations scheduled on--"
"I know, I know." You waved him off with a little smile, one foot tucked under your thigh as you sipped your coffee. "More stuffy old men yelling and accomplishing nothing, as usual."
Lips pursing tightly, Guilliman simply grunted before slipping out into the corridor. Your teasing was affectionate but still stung just a bit.
Carefully straightening the crisp lapels of his suit, Guilliman cleared his throat. "Do try and not bury yourself in laptop too deeply today, yes? Your health is as important as any project deadline."
You waved an airy hand, taking an uncouth slurp of your coffee. "Yeah yeah, mom, I know the drill. Now get going before you're late for all your super important senatorial meetings."
Pausing at the door for one final longing look at that adorably disheveled figure, Guilliman repressed a smile. He truly was a lucky man, even if his roommate could be his pain at times.
As the oaken portal swung closed and his strides carried him off to another long, grueling day of civic responsibilities, the statesman couldn't help but look forward to returning home this evening.

dying to tell you - jj maybank
summary: after a normal beach day takes an unexpected turn, jj has something he needs to say.
word count: 3.7k
tw: 🦈
a/n: inspired by real events that happened to professional surfer mick fanning in 2015 - it is wild to watch!! (see above trigger warning before taking a peek!)
It was the perfect beach day.
You pulled off your flipflops and the bottom of your feet and your toes were tickled by the warm sand. You could hear the woosh of the waves rushing to meet the shore and receding again, a familiar melody. It was early, so the beach was quiet but for the waves and the occasional call of the seagulls flying overhead as the breeze kicked strands of your hair up around your face and made the seagrass in the dunes shake. You smiled to yourself - home for you was this place and the person next to you. You snuck a glance at JJ only to find the same smile on his face, his surfboard tucked under his arm. The beach, and its overwhelming sense of calm, peace, rightness was a love you both share. Your friends were running up ahead of you, dragging coolers, chairs and more surfboards, but the two of you hung back, walking side by side, enjoying the moment. JJ reached out and tangled his fingers lazily in yours and you squeezed back.
A few other locals dotted the shore and several surfers bobbed in the sizable waves. This part of the beach was a revered locals spot, tucked far enough away from the hotels and tourists to remain untouched by their noise and disruptions.
You helped set everything up before unfurling your large blanket, pulling off your clothes and collapsing on top if it, ready to spend the entire day squeezing every bit of sunshine and vitamin D you could into your skin. You loved the hot weather, the way the sun's rays baked ten times hotter off the glinting ocean, the way your skin would feel salty and sticky by the end of the day. You would live here if you could.
The boys were eager to get in the water, haphazardly chucking their backpacks and tearing off their shirts, John B and Pope making a beeline for the water as Kie chased after them yelling something about sunscreen, a lost cause. JJ eyed the water eagerly but his eyes wandered back to you, outstretched in his favorite bikini, the shape accentuating every curve of your body and the color amplifying your tan skin and bright eyes. He wrestled with his choice for only a second before flopping onto the blanket beside you, eyes glimmering mischievously as he reached for you. He couldn't keep his hands off of you on any day, but you looked so tantalizing he couldn't help himself as he pulled you into him and you giggled. His lips found yours and you were immediately lost in each other, lost to the world. Sarah took one look at you both and rolled her eyes. "Every time" she muttered to herself as she walked away to give you some semblance of privacy, wanting to be salty but secretly so stinking happy that the two of you finally got over the stolen glances and dancing around each other to go from friends to more than friends.
He tasted like peppermint from his toothpaste, salt and sunscreen as pushed his tongue in your mouth and you ran your fingers through his tangled blonde hair, a small involuntary moan escaping you at the feeling of his body crushed against yours, his muscular arms around you. JJ responded immediately, and without missing a beat, he lifted you off the blanket, and began walking back towards the Twinkie, never breaking your kiss. "JJ!" you laughed in surprise.
"Can't make noises like that without me wanting to do something absolutely indecent to you, sweetheart. M'taking you back to the Twinkie to spare everyone on this beach the show of a lifetime."
"We just got here!" you said, swatting him playfully on the shoulder. "The boys are waiting for you, we can pick this up later, promise." You pressed your lips to his cheek, sealing the deal.
With a resigned sigh, he placed you back on your feet in the sand, a mischievous smirk resting on his lips as his eyes searched your face, the flirtatious energy lingering but something deeper now running under the surface of his expression. He cupped your face, running a thumb gently over your cheek and his lips parted like he was going to say something. You looked at him inquisitively, unused to him being so serious. As he met your gaze, he stopped himself and smiled warmly. You wanted to ask, wanted to know what he was going to say, but as his lips found yours again, your brain scrambled.
You had been together for a few months but neither of you had said those three little words. Big words, really. You had felt them for a long time, longer than you'd even been together, but you were still trying to navigate this whole thing. Your feelings were overwhelmingly strong but what you had with him felt so special you didn't want to disrupt the balance. The words were on the tip of your tongue, dangerously close to spilling over, like your body's involuntary reaction to his proximity; when you fell asleep in each other's arms, each time you hung up the phone and every time he kissed you and then gave you that look, that smoldering, soul-crushing, heart-squeezing smirk that he was giving you now. And then he was off, peeling off his shirt, grabbing his board and running towards the water, leaving you breathless.
Kie and Sarah made their way back to you as JJ crashed into the waves. They shared knowing glances at you and made sneaky comments. They loved to tease you even though they were your biggest supporters. The boys could surf for hours and that was fine for the three of you, it gave you much needed girl time to catch up and discuss all the things the boys would roll their eyes at. You were comfortably seated in your chairs, facing the water and passing around fruit and snacks chatting idly as you watched the boys surf. They were spread far enough apart in the water to give each other opportunities to catch the waves. It amazed you to watch them surf. You didn't know a lot about surfing, but you knew JJ was good, very good. You could see it in his practiced confidence on the board and the ease with which he navigated each wave. You loved to see him so happy and in his element.
You had turned your attention back to Sarah's story when you heard a loud splash. You had been coming to the beach your whole life, your mind and body in tune with every kind of noise and this one was not one you had heard before. It wasn't the splash of the waves, the splash of children playing, the splash of a surfer at the end of their run, this was loud, aggressive... foreboding. Your eyes scanned the water fast enough to see JJ seated and bobbing alone on his board, his back to you as he faced the oncoming waves before his head snapped back to look behind him as a large fin crested the water.
You were on your feet before you knew what was happening. It was probably only seconds but it felt like a lifetime, like one of those dreams you have when you're running but don't actually go anywhere, your feet pounding the sand, your lungs burning as you shouted for John B and Pope, JJ never leaving your sight. JJ's eyes found yours momentarily before the large fin resurfaced and he got knocked off of his board and you couldn't see him anymore.
JJ didn’t think he could ask for a more perfect day as he bobbed in the waves, feet dangling in the cool water beneath his board. In fact, ever since he had gotten the courage to tell you how he really felt, heavily aided by beer, his friends, and an unrelenting pounding in his chest every time you were close to him, it was like his life had gotten exponentially better.
He stared into middle space as he ran his thumb over his lips, deep in thought at the feeling of yours pressed against them, and reveled in the fact that he could still taste you. He didn’t know how he went without you for so long, now he couldn’t get enough. He loved you. He knew he did, and he’d almost said it to you. Today, and about a hundred times now, including the night he first confessed his feelings. He knew it then. He’d known it for awhile. In truth, he was dying to tell you, dying to get it off his chest. He almost word-vomited it on a daily basis, when you curled into his chest as you fell asleep, every time you scrunched your nose and bit your lip when you were focusing, the way you looked at him when he kissed you, eyes glazed with desire for him. Goddddd, he thought. But a part of him was still insecure. What did he ever do to deserve you? In what realm of possibility could you love him back? He was deep in thought when heard a loud splash behind him that snapped him back to reality as chills ran down his spine.
He knew before he saw the fin. He had been in the water when other surfers spotted sharks, and he John B and Pope did occasionally get that unexplainable sense of foreboding that pulled them out of the water, the intangible surfer’s sense that something simply wasn’t right and the risk wasn’t worth it. That feeling washed so quickly over him now that it felt like someone had poured a bucket of ice water over his head. He turned to see a large fin breaking the water behind his board as a dark shape moved beneath him, and that’s when he heard you. He turned to see you running towards the water and met your eyes just as the dark shape crested the waves and he was knocked off his board, into darkness.
John B saw you running towards the water and his first instinct was to laugh. You weren't unathletic but he'd never seen you move that fast before. He'd wanted to laugh until he heard the tone of your voice as you called his name. It wasn't joking, it wasn't fun, it was pure terror and his brain began piecing the puzzle together as he saw Sarah and Kie running towards other people on the beach, calling them out of the water and as you pointed desperately at JJ. John B turned his head quickly enough to see his best friend, the one person that had been there through every high and every low alongside him get knocked off his board by a tailfin as a large shape loomed in the water and he crashed into the sea.
He could hear Pope shouting at him but his heart was pounding and the blood rushing in his head made everything sound like he was underwater. Pope was paddling towards the shore.
"We have to help him!" John B cried, his voice high-pitched with emotion, knowing already that their efforts would be fruitless. What were they supposed to do? As far away as he was, he was already shaking as he tucked his own limbs onto his board, like this thin piece of fiberglass would do anything to protect him. He had seen the size of that shark, they were fucked.
JJ swam quickly to the surface, his body pulsing with fear, trying to get a sense of his surroundings, wanting to know what was around him but terrified to find out at the same time. He crested the surface, searching for his board, for any lifeline before deciding it didn't matter and he needed to get the fuck out of there. He began swimming strongly towards the shore, but panicked at the idea of the shark attacking him from behind so he stopped and turned around, frantically searching the water around him, kicking his legs and trying to swim backwards. He couldn't see a thing. He was hyperventilating and as he tried to suck in deep breaths water filled his mouth, causing him to cough. He continued to swim backwards, his eyes never leaving the dark water.
You had never felt as helpless in your entire life as you did standing on that beach, screaming, screaming for JJ, for John B, for Pope, for God, for anyone to intervene as your eyes searched the water for him, stomach roiling and mind churning with the worst possible outcomes. When you saw his head emerge from the waves, you began to run into the water.
"What are you doing?!" Kie shouted, exasperated as she threw her arms around you to pull you back.
"I have to go! I have to get to him!" you shouted back, trying to wrench yourself from her grip as you gestured to the waves. Wasn't if obvious? JJ needed you. Your whole heart was out there alone, bobbing in the water alongside an eight-foot shark. You wrestled in her arms, eyes never leaving the water as you watched him swim, heart catching each time a wave crested and you momentarily lost sight of him. He looked okay? Could that be possible? Was the universe that good? That he could look death in the face and still come back to you? Suddenly he stopped swimming for the shore and turned around, looking back in the murky depths, trying to backpedal, to backstroke. Did he see something? Was it coming back?
John B and Pope caught up to you both and Sarah put her arms tightly around John B as you watched. The group was stone silent.
Finally, it was too much for you, you shoved Kie off of you and sprinted into the water despite her shouts and the gasps of the crowd that had gathered. You were about waist-deep in the rough current, getting rocked by each wave when JJ finally turned to see you standing there, wading towards him.
"N-NO!" he shouted, motioning you back, moving as quickly as he could to force you back into shallower water, but his limbs were sluggish and tired and the current tugged him deeper. "GET OUT OF THE WATER!" He shouted, surprised at the anger and fear in his voice. You jumped slightly at that, never having been the object of JJ's anger before, but you didn't listen, you didn't care. You needed to know he was okay more than you needed to be okay yourself. You met him in chest-high water, your body crashing into his. He held you tightly, he wanted to enjoy this moment, but his brain and his body were still tightly wound in survival mode as he tugged you forward with him, needing to get you to safety, needing to know you were okay more than he needed to be okay. He wouldn't feel good about that until you were both firmly on dry land. When you were in ankle deep water, your friends converged on you, pulling you both into a hug as the small crowd that had gathered clapped and cheered, murmuring with disbelief at what had just occurred.
Everything thereafter was a blur. The beach day was over, no one wanting to spend any more time here after what had happened. Your friends buzzed around you, packing up the coolers and chairs and walking back to the Twinkie. You didn't leave JJ's side, didn't bother getting dressed or picking up your blanket, you stayed tucked into him, with his arms wrapped around you and he couldn't have been more grateful for the feeling of your body pressed to his, grounding him, a constant reminder that he was safe. The car ride home was mostly silent, the radio scratching in the background as JJ sat hunched over, his head in his hands, your head on his shoulder. You caught John B's eyes in the rearview mirror from his spot in the front seat, where he shared a brief, knowing smile with you. He's here, he's with us, it said. It's going to be okay, and I'm glad he has you.
By the time you got back to the chateau the mood was shifting slightly. There was still a heaviness in the air, thick with all that could have been, but the fog was parting and JJ couldn't stand the tension anymore. "I'm sensing a real heavy vibe right now" he said jokingly. "I don't know about y'all but I could use a fucking drink" and with that everyone cheered and his face lit up in a smile.
The night passed in typical pogue fashion with beers around the bonfire. Everyone was eager to shed the events of the day and relax, yourself included. You joined in on the fun but kept one eye trained on JJ, tracing his every move with your gaze. You told yourself it was to make sure he was okay, but a part of you couldn't stop staring, afraid that if you looked away for too long he would disappear again under a dark wave. He hadn't left your side, a hand resting on your thigh, an arm around your shoulders or tugging you to sit on his lap. He was always handsy with you, but this felt different, like you were a lifeline, a buoy he didn't want to let go of. You were in his lap, your head resting against his with his arms around you, his fingers tracing patters on your leg when he nuzzled into your ear, pressing a kiss along your jaw. "Hammock?" he whispered and you nodded, smiling as you hopped off his lap and the two of you made your way to the secluded spot amidst catcalls and whistles from your friends.
He settled into the swinging fabric first, holding it steady for you to crawl in to lay beside him. Your bodies fit perfectly together as the hammock swung gently back and forth, your head tucked into his neck, your arm around his chest. You felt him breath a deep sigh as his arms tugged you impossibly closer to him and he planted a kiss on your head. You turned to look at him and met his eyes, midnight blue in the starlight as he looked down at you.
"Are you okay?" you whispered. A simple question that had ten other questions behind it.
He nodded sincerely but didn't say anything. You had been hoping for more. Hoping to talk to him about this. If he wasn't going to say anything, you were going to have to break the silence.
"Jayj, I-I was really scared" you said, your voice quivering a little as you spoke. "I'm so glad you're okay. All I could think as I watched you out there was what I was going to do if something happened to you, I was out of my mind."
"I gathered that when you were sprinting into shark infested water while everyone was running out of it" he said, smirking as he pinched your arm playfully. You could tell he was trying to lighten the mood and that maybe he didn't want to talk about this, but you didn't want to talk about it with anyone else, you didn't think they'd understand.
"I'm serious, JJ. I guess I don't know how to explain it, I don't have the words for it. It was more than just the idea of not being able to reach you, of losing you, it was the idea of all the things we wouldn't get to do together. Like never having another bonfire night or taking a ride on your bike, or w-waking up in your arms or g-getting to k-kiss you or --" you could have kept going but your tears bubbled over and JJ's heart broke at the sight of you unravelling in his arms. He was holding himself together as best he could and he knew you were too.
"C'mere pretty girl, it's okay, I'm okay" he said as he wrapped you deeper in his arms and your tears left wet marks on his shirt.
"I'm sorry Jayj" you said, trying to collect yourself. "I know I'm probably blowing this out of proportion--" and hearing you apologize was the last straw.
"-- You're not" he said softly. "I felt the exact same way." He sighed. He didn't want to relive it, like maybe if you didn't talk about it, you could pretend it never happened.
"Really?" you asked.
"100%" he replied. "When I turned and saw you before I got knocked off my board all I could think is how far away you were and what I would have to do to get back to you. I was going to wrestle that thing if I needed to." You both laughed at that. "But for real, I know what you mean, I had the same thoughts. Even though I was absolutely shitting myself, it was like flashes in my head of you and all the things I still wanted to do and experience together... all the things I should have said..." he paused and fidgeted a little.
"Hey, look at me" he said finally, putting a finger gently under your chin and tilting it towards him. He smiled and met your eyes, wiping a tear off your cheek. "If I was shark bait today, my biggest regret would have been not telling you how I felt, how I feel. I-I love you. A lot. A whole hell of a lot. I have since before we were together. You're the first thing I think about in the morning and my last thought before bed. You're the girl of my damn dreams Y/N and I never want to do life without you. You're it for me, gorgeous. Full stop. No one else." He said it with more confidence than he felt as it came pouring out of him, relieved to finally have it off of his chest.
Now he was desperately trying to read your response. She's smiling, that's a good thing, right?
Yes, you were smiling. Grinning from ear to ear as you listened to the boy of your dreams absolutely gushing over you. You were speechless for a moment, grasping at the words to say, words you'd wanted to say for so long.
"I love you too" you said finally, "So much, JJ" you were able to eke out before he crushed his lips to yours.
ps: sharks are friends and are so important to our ecosystem and our lil' planet! you are more likely to get bit by another human than you a shark (fact), more likely to die from ants, elephants, hotdogs and texting than a shark attack (also fact), and they only bite because they are curious, they do not want to eat you (also fact). so, be kind, be respectful, support sharks. #endrant
