My brother, by being an overall nuisance for 2 weeks straight, got me to try playing Warframe. And ok yeah, I'm getting some strong Prototype vibes from the movement- this is unbelievably fun, even when I keep running into walls like a drunk fly.

But this just made me think of how crazy Warframe must look from non-Tenno perspective. You're chilling in your base, minding your business, when a shiny sparkly blur NYYYYOOOOOMS across the room, killing some of your coworkers but totally ignoring you because you were a bit too far to the side to bother, the alarm starts blaring, everyone is shouting, you run after the invader- oh, but they're gone. Where did they go? They're so damn shiny, how could you lose someone so shiny in the middle of your base?? You stand in the middle of the room, with the other coworkers, looking around for any signs of the thing, and then there's only about 1,5 seconds between you noticing a shiny thing flying across the far side of the hangar and your head exploding.

Anyway play Warframe, this shit rules.

I like to think that Gorgug hangs out with the seven the way Zelda hangs out with the bad kids. You know that horrible awkward feeling where you only know one person at a party? I know I’ve said this on previous liveblogs, but rolan is so fucking angry at Rand, to such a higher degree than Rand is. Like, Rand pokes at Rolan alot, but most of it is in a less serious way, while Rolan everytime he takes a Jab at Rand he wants it to hurt. He wants to hurt Rand sooo badly all the time, especially during the first episode.

For example, when Rand is upset that Rolan didn’t distract his mom from Kian, he says, “You were always really reliable, weren’t you,” very rude and clearly a dig at Rolan leaving him. Problem is, that Rolan essentially responds with, “Getting away from you was the best decision I ever made.” Which is, a fucking crazy thing to say, and is so much more than Rands passive aggressive comment. Rand wants to hurt Rolan, the way he hurt him, he wants to get back at him for leaving, but all his insults just revel how much he missed Rolan, and his own hurt. But Rolan is sooo possed at being back here, he shifts all of that anger onto Rand (of course he also missed Rand, but he’s been able to move on in a way Rand hasn’t even dreamed of)

new hot take is that "i don’t need anyone but God" is pretty much wrong and we should stop telling people they can’t get married/have children/etc before they believe this fully. unless you have the spiritual fortitude of a hermit it is untrue. obviously God is perfection in which no lack can be found but we are not in His full presence by virtue of being on earth! if we were then we would be in heaven but we are not! in the meantime, the experience of God we have on earth necessarily includes other people whether they be friends or spouses or children. if that was not true God would not have said "It is not good for man to be alone" and given him a companion even though God himself was interacting with Adam! in this current state of separation from God as it exists on this earth, very few people can really be without all other people and rely only on contemplation and prayer. obviously God is enough and will always be enough, but our perception of Him in this fallen world is seriously lacking if we cannot experience His love through the experience of loving and being loved by others.
