COMMA BUT.#rewatching this episode i thought this was way better than i remembered #like for a season opener it's still low- but i'd rank is similarly to welcome to the hellmouth or when she was bad #so it's a decent buffy episode.#i thought the reopening of SD high works better in this episode than for the rest of the entire season #and after the events of 'grave' this episode gives me exactly what i wanted in terms of the dawn/buffy dynamic #it's very unfortunate that the rest of the season doesn't really carry on buffy's promise to show dawn the world #but this premiere really captures that essence #rewatching this episode did lure me into a false thought that i had possibly misjudged s7. then i watched beneath you right after and went.#no. still bad.

Alhaitham really, really loves needling and riling Kaveh up instead of simply telling him directly sometimes lmao (but we all know Kaveh secretly enjoys their back-and-forth just as much, so lol). And I’d also kind of suspected that Alhaitham would be the type to read whatever books or notes Kaveh left lying around in the study or any common shared space in their house—because, of course, he's nosy about Kaveh, just like how Kaveh can't shut up about Alhaitham too all the time even when he isn't there… Hehe...

I miss seeing their silly banters and adore it to bits—I just love that petty bickering over mundane and/or domestic trivialities are just This Thing That They Do Together, even when they have mostly reconciled and are rebuilding their friendship again. But even so, why are they always being Disg0sting (tm) and just.... openly flirting?? in public like this ????? XD

She redeemed herself fully in season 4. She redeemed herself in each and every episode she was in.

She came back only for Buck to treat her like some trophy girlfriend and manipulated her into a date that wasn't a date all because his ego was hit. Still, she reached out to him to help her with a miracle (that made her cry on LIVE TV) because she knew that if anyone was capable of one, it was Buck. Together, they made sure no vaccines had to be destroyed and saved the day. Together.

Next, Buck went to her for the sole purpose of using her passion for work to convince her to help catch the person who hit Sue and kidnapped Tracy. She did everything she could do (even being detained by the police) to help Buck (and the victims) with what he asked. When all was said and done, she showed up at Buck's house to celebrate and when he thought they were celebrating her career, she said, no. We're celebrating justice for Sue and Tracy. Justice.

Those two instances alone have provided more growth than Tommy has been able to show (to no fault of his) and the fandom is out here making excuses for his shitty, sexist, racist, homophobic behavior.

But yet, the fandom still hated Taylor throughout all of it and bullied Megan so badly, Oliver still talks about it.

And before I get asks again, I know what Taylor did with Jonah was not great, but she was vilified WAY before that. You're sexist and misogynistic and like to fetishize gay men, I said what I said.

There were few events Nate went to at Ogden College without dragging his feet, complaining the entire time. And while this was certainly no exception, he was at least mildly more willing to attend the thanksgiving dinner. He had attended all four years so far, looking for any reason to avoid seeing his family, and honestly, the food? Fucking good. Rich ass school with cash to spare must've figured they could spare some effort for the misfit students left behind on campus for the holiday.

But this year...was different.

He hadn't totally anticipated it, hearing families were invited and not thinking much, considering it didn't change his situation either way. As always, he texted his younger sister (and only his younger sister), confirming he'd be staying on campus for the holiday, and that he'd see her at Christmas (a lie, hopefully, if he could manage to find a way to stay away from the Shaw family again). So when Nate walked in, the sheer amount of families that were there caught him a bit off guard.

Not nearly as off guard as the person currently walking towards him, though.

Nate stood his ground, even if he was slightly blocking the entrance, hands shoved in his pockets while his face grew stormy as he stared at his older brother. "What the fuck are you doing here, Liam?" he said through his teeth once his brother was close enough, making no pretense that he was happy to see him.

Liam offered him a mocking smile, reaching up to clap his younger brother on the shoulder in greeting. "Good to see you too, little brother," he chided, glancing at the person entering the hall behind Nate, brushing past him due to the Shaw brothers currently blocking the entry way, his smile turning charming in a way Nate's never quite managed. "D'you know where we can get a drink?" he asked them conversationally, even potentially flirtatiously, clearly already aware Nate would not be forthcoming with any information.
