However, his plans changed when you were born. A girl. For many, it would have been a huge disappointment, but Mehmed didn't feel that way. He fell in love with you the moment he held you in his arms for the first time. You were so small, so fragile, and so perfect. His beautiful baby girl.

Even in your newborn state, you looked so much like him and that only helped to strengthen Mehmed's feelings for you, the protectiveness and love. You were your father's little girl and he could never deny you anything.

Everyone knew how much he loved you. The servants were instructed to fulfill your every whim and desire, you were spoiled with everything: the best food, the best clothes, the best jewelry and gifts. All you had to do was ask or snap your fingers and everything would become yours, you would never want for anything.

Mehmed liked to take you on military campaigns, although your mother didn't like it, there wasn't much she could do against his orders. However, if you really insisted, Mehmed might allow a union, but your fiancé would be chosen by him and would be critically evaluated. And you would have to live with him. This is non-negotiable, you will not move. Mehmed will not allow it. Let it be very clear that he would make your partner's life hell.

He is the definition of a super dad and is very affectionate towards you, loving to hold you in his arms and talk to you about his achievements and plans for the future and they all involve you. He immediately investigates who you are and learns that you are the daughter of the Ottoman emperor he refuses to bow down to. He sends ambassadors to the Ottomans without wasting any time. Your father does not accept Vlad's request to marry you. This causes Vlad to become angry and swear to take you as his wife. When you hear that Vlad wants to marry you, you are very scared and worried. Although you are tired of your father imprisoning you as if you were a prisoner, you would never want to marry a man like Vlad. In a short time, preparations are made for war and war begins between the two countries. Your father Sultan Mehmed, wins this war. Vlad is executed.

Not sure how many of you are following the situation in Türkiye, but the treatment of the protesters is quite brutal.

Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu, the Turkish actor you might know for his portrayal of Sultan Mehmed II in Rise of Empires: Ottoman, is currently one of the most prominent voices of civic opposition. You can see his activism on social media, but he also participates in the protests and openly criticises Erdoğan and his administration.

A few days ago, Üzümoğlu was detained by the police, though he was eventually released on probation. When he was leaving the courthouse, he said, “There is nothing we can do other than reminding them of constitutional rights. We are free to protest, march, and express our words and opinions in line with our rights. We will continue to be free.”
