The Wolffs: "Maybe we can find a quiet place in this damn house." Toto rolled his eyes, sure being President was great, but living in the residence left very little in terms of privacy. Sometimes it felt like the world and his wife wanted him between his Chief of Staff, speech writers, aids and advisors, press secretary, security staff,and that was just the people he'd seen this morning. Susie looked over at her pouting husband and had to resist laughing, instead forming a brilliant idea in her head.

"I have a suggestion," she said as Toto gave her a confused look, "we should go and hide in your staff's offices when they go looking for you because they'll never think to look there for you."

Toto smirked happily when Susie said that and chuckled, "you know maybe you're onto something Susie."

Mitta: "Wait. What did you just say?" Britta doubted she could say it again, it had taken her hours of summoning up her courage in the first place to even get her to practically whisper it the first time. And as she stood there in front of Mark looking at her expectantly she began to shake from fear and nerves. It was supposed to be a one time thing, a foolish mistake between two colleagues who'd got drunk celebrating at the end of season party in Brazil. There were never meant to be any consequences from it, but apparently the Racing Gods had other ideas for them. Britta didn't speak as she fished something out of her pocket, hesitating momentarily before dropping the positive pregnancy test on the sofa next to Mark and bursting into tears.

Steffi / Mau: "What did you do with your keys?" Felipe asked as he looked at Maurizio strangely, holding up the set of keys the Italian had just tossed him.

Mau frowned as he looked at the young driver, "what do you mean those are my keys," he shrugged as Felipe smirked.

"No these are Stefania's keys, I should know I got her the little Brazilian flag keyring she has on them," he pointed to the keyring. It was then Maurizio noticed that Felipe was indeed right, those were Steffi's keys and not his, he groaned internally. "So again I ask you Maurizio, what did you do with your keys and follow up, why do you have my press officers keys instead?"

3. What’s something you learned about yourself as a writer?

That I can do this. That I can write and create and get comprehensive ideas across. That I can do the big, crazy thing. Most importantly, I can do this for the joy of it that it brings me. That I am enough to be the audience of this story.

9. What fic meant the most to you to write?

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I can't not say The Maiden and the Drowning Boy. This story has taught me so much about myself this year. It's a culmination of 20 years of therapy, 25 years of character creation in fandom, it's everything that I've learned and absorbed over the years rolled up into this chaotic, fairy tale dream of a mess that I'm happy to share. Honorable mention to the first fic I published this year: Boy With a Broken Soul (Heart With a Gaping Hole) (I am no longer affiliated with the other author in that verse) as the first fic I wrote and completed this year and in a chaotic AU no less! (I do plan on revisting this at some point because I mean, Aegon with a tail rewrote my brain) and then to my HotD Big Bang fic, You're the Lighting of the Blaze, which was new for me in terms of stepping out of the main ship I was writing and also writing something more Team Black positive. Jacaerys Velaryon, I love you, and you are mine now.

10. What fic made you feel the happiest to work on?

That would be Kissed by Fire, a companion to @acrossthesestars Haunt Me verse. It had started as a joke between us, and then I was moody and upset over my current Maiden chapters (which are the ones now being posted. I don't like Abrogon being upset with each other!) so this was Alex's way to try cheer me up. I wrote my first threesome! And I think it ended up very hot.

While C'allie is capable of profound stubbornness (mainly when faced with people who think her active interference in their lives isn't needed) she is insatiably curious.

Not everyone realizes that under her bubbly, impish demeanor there is a genuinely high intellect. C'allie reads engineering manuals for fun, finds magitech fascinating, likes to discuss novel tropes and symbolism, and puts aside regular time to read anything that comes to hand.

Most telling of her intelligence is that C'allie doesn't keep a flawed fact when presented with a better one. If someone provides solid research as to why copper and giantsgall are better structurally for individual house aetherytes, C'allie won't keep insisting on the same design and structure she currently understands. She'll strive to learn more.

And she will absolutely point and laugh at pretentious people who keep spouting disproven facts because they can't bear to say 'I don't know.'

I’m the guy playing the mobile games in all those ads. My life can be condensed to 30 second segments of failing to match 3 to save the king, running into a x3 multiplier instead of a x30 multiplier, carving a log into a lopsided rectangle rather than a wineglass. My last raise was two cents and it was because I gave the mobile game ad people the idea to give you a little interactive portion after the ad now, so you can show yourself how much better than me you are. How much smarter. Faster. More dexterous. Your fingers are so nimble on the screen, after all... I wonder what else those fingers can do? And yes, I am secretly waiting for the day someone plays every one of those interactive sections so badly that the mobile game people have them take my place in the phone forever, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't miss it.
