Just wondering why did you give Ralph a slick back?
I've never seen anyone draw him with that hairstyle so I'm just curious if you just imagined him with that hairstyle while reading the book or you just gave him a slick back when you started drawing him because it's funny looking (in a good way tho-)
Aw, thank you for this question and for your attention to detail in my arts!
To tell the truth, when I read the book and saw many moments where Ralph pushed back his hair, for some reason I immediately wanted to draw him the hairstyle that you see in my art

HI POPPY! How are you? if taylor swift albums were people irl, what do u think they'd be like?
hi ani!
i’ve actually had a shitty life day so i'm gonna use this question as a distraction and i'll try to give you the best possible answer. let's go.
debut: young at heart and still a little bit lost in life, they're constantly trying to find the right path, they're still a little bit scared to follow their dreams but they are doing it in spite of the fear, which actually makes them very brave
fearless: sassy as fuck, not afraid to fall in love even if that means they're going to end up broken-hearted, every person they are dating is "the one", they have a good sense of humour, they are very sarcastic
speak now: not afraid to speak their truth, daydreaming as a coping mechanism, they will do anything for the person they love, they actually learn from their mistakes, they always write down all their thoughts in a journal, theatre kids
red: chaotic and very emotional, they cry every night but they will never tell you, their favourite season is autumn and they would probably die without coffee, afraid of love because they had their heart broken too many times to count
1989: they dream about living in a big city, better off alone, strong and independent, they love going to the parties and hanging out with friends, very extraverted, they have a new crush every night, they love gossip
reputation: everyone thinks they are scary but they are actually very lovely, their outfits are always on point, they don’t talk about their personal life too much, everybody wants them, they only surround themselves with real people
lover: they love pink and talking about important stuff, their favourite season is definitely summer, they love going to festivals, they love themselves and they don’t care what people say about them, they just love life
folklore: they don’t like leaving the house ever, introverts, they feel like they wasted their potential, probably depressed, anxious, reading is their hobby, they are smart but lost in life, pathological people pleasers
evermore: winter girlies (gn), overthinkers, any minor inconvenience makes them want to leave everything behind and move somewhere else, they have trust issues, they love cozy sweaters and oversized clothes
midnights: they swear they are fine but they are not, night owls, they probably drink too much coffee, they have a lot of insecurities, they are hot as fuck but they don’t feel like it, they make the same mistake over and over again, they need therapy

Hi, do you happen to know who that girl named Annie is that Rafael often mentions in his poems? I'm overcome with curiosity and thanks in advance. ❤️
Hi Nonny, wonderful question, but no straightforward answer. Dear Annie is a hashtag/salutation Rafa used to use a lot, mostly in his poems, but also with some songs like Bad Egg.
Once upon a time, there was talk of a poetry book, and I always felt like Dear Annie might have been (at least) the working title. Sadly enough, it's been years and he seems to have gone in a bit of a different creative direction since then. (The header on this blog is from the shoot that would have accompanied the book. Some really pretty pictures.)
He also used it when talking about a play, The Limp, that he was developing some years ago. I think Covid put a stop to that one. :(
My take is that Annie is some sort of personification of his muse?
tl;dr It’s all connected 🤯🤯🤯

Tough love or gentle?
It depends. Tough love — to help our beloved reach the greatness they are undoubtedly capable of. Gentle love — to help them flourish and reach their full potential. A flower needs both sunlight and moisture to blossom. To be more prosaic, you don't choose between a knife and a fork when enjoying a meal. You use both. It would be extremely unwise to pick only one kind, as pleasures and benefits can be found in both notions and approaches to love. In a way, we do not choose what to give and what to receive. We accept only those things we think we deserve, and it is even more true when it comes to love. And forts. We might sometimes be deeply regretful not to have forts for what we love… for how we long to be loved.
I refuse to choose between tough and gentle love. They are two sides of the same coin, after all.

To keep your mind off of spoilers, tell me, does Macaque slip up at any point and accidentally gets himself in trouble trying to save MK? Or does he just try and give the gang ways to free MK themselves?
Macaque at some point does end up asking him some sorta off handed questions when MK ends up tagging along, “so what happened to not trusting the Lady Bone Demon?” He doesn’t show it, but it DEFINITELY creeped him out how before, MK was offering to stop LBD together, saying she’s using him, and now, the same human was now working alongside her, smiling as if nothing had happened.
At that question though, he stops and frowns for a bit. He recaps that moment with him and Macaque in the van. He remembers saying something to Macaque but.. what?
Suddenly, a familiar cold influence entered his head as his eyes became white. He struggles for a bit before finally stopping, a blank look on his face. He then shook his head as his eyes returned to normal. “I was wrong. My lady is just doing the right thing.“ he says, that same blank look still remaining.
Macaque doesn’t want to intervene any further in fear of getting trouble with LBD so he leaves it at that.

do you think ex-lovers makorra would play 'bitey' at a party....
ex-lovers makorra no; we have seen them as ex-lovers and when that happens he sleeps under his desk at work. <= You have no idea how long it took me to remember this vital detail from book 3 (probably THE most vital detail from book 3.)
However, ex-lovers korrasami does play bitey (korra wins), also ex-lovers masami (asami wins); in short, asami is the bitey one, which makes her shiv roy (????)

i’m about to go to sleep but i wanted to ask you: what are your 5 desert island albums. only music you can ever listen to again, so choose wisely!!
Oof, very difficult but very good question! This is hard cause I have so many albums that I can listen to over and over again in short burts, but if it's for the rest of my life I'd probably still get bored of them eventually lmao
But first and foremost probably Danger Days by My Chemical Romance. It is kinda impossible to choose just one MCR album but definitely need some MCR to get me through it. I think Danger Days is probably the one I listen to the most so we'll go with that.
Then probably Folie a Duex by Fall Out Boy. Again, it is literally impossible to pick just one Fall Out Boy album but Folie a Deux is probably my favourite.
Then most likely Dookie by Green Day. I was tossing up so hard over either Dookie or American Idiot but I think I'm settling on this answer. This album was my shit in high school.
I'm now tossing up between three albums but I think next I would take Hozier (2014). I have only recently started listening to Hozier but already I have a feeling that if I was stranded on a desert island I would need to take this album with me.
After much careful deliberation, I have decided on one final album to take with me; What's the Story Morning Glory? by Oasis. It's one of my favourite albums of all time and I feel like if i didn't take it with me I would miss it too much. Also it is long so it would keep me entertained for a while.
Honourable mentions because I love bending the rules of ask games include; Pretty. Odd by Panic! at the Disco, Abbey Road by The Beatles, Go Farther in Lightness by Gang of Youths, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge by My Chemical Romance and Hesitant Alien by Gerard Way

How to be a good artist? (Just looking for a bunch of tips honestly, whatever come to mind is fine im not looking for anything specific:))
Oh my sweet little Alma. What could I ever teach you that you don't already know? Please know that you already are such a great artist. But here are a few pieces of advice that I try to follow myself as best I can (that is a lie, but sometimes I really try to).
Observe. Not only other artists, but also what happens around you. Architecture, lighting, colours, emotions, expressions, movement, textures, ... Everything life has to offer. Observe and try to capture it in it's essence, not necessarily accurately (photorealistic drawings are impressing but also kinda boring).
Learn the rules. Learn about the rule of thirds. Learn about colour theory. Learn about composition. Learn about anatomy. Learn about anything and everything. And then learn how to break them and how to use breaking the rules for your own purposes.
Keep repeating to draw what you love drawing but also try to push your own boundaries. Draw something you have never drawn before. Use a medium you have never used before. And then come back to your comfort zone. You'll realise very quickly, that you have broadened your own comfort zone, grew your repertoire and became more confident in your own art.
If you're really comitted, it might help to schedule yourself. Like, try to finish one piece of art every day or every week. Even if it's shit. Just work on it and finish it. Bc what most professional artists and designers know is, that stuff like "art block" doesn't really exist. You haven't done any art for a while? Either you didn't try or you're lying and you're just not counting the stuff you didn't like or didn't finish. Just do something, anything, even if it's stick figures. Even if it stays a work in progress in the end. Because the fear of delivering (hate that word) something that's not good enough is one of our biggest enemies.
Last advice, although you have heard it probably a thousand times: practice! The more, the better. Never. Stop. Learning.

what books would you reccomend to someone who wants to to look into left-wing/commie theories/literature?
Sure sure, comrade! I'm going to start with very light texts and progress into more heavy readings.
Animal Farm: A Fairy Story by George Orwell
It's light, even fun and more storytelling vibe. It's a good start because it allows you to build an analogy between the animals and our own world history. It has such an acessible language and I usually reccomend to very young readers, but anyone can read it!
The ABCs of Socialism by Bhaskar Sunkara
This is one of those books that answers basic questions. I didn't start with this one, but my students really like it because of how acessible the language is. A lot of the stigma around socialism is explained and debunked here, with actual theories and facts.
The ABC of communism by Nikolai Bukharin
One of my favorite beginner friendly books. It's an easier read and also meant for people who are in need of concept knowledge. This book was written during the Russian revolution, which is super important because it gives you exactly the thought process of the 1920s.
The communist manifesto by Marx and Engels
It seems obvious right? But it's very important. It looks intimidating at first but I promise it's not such a difficult reading. I read this when I was 14 and was able to grasp the essential message of the book. It was written in such a revolutionary period in our history and it never seems to gets old despite being written in the 19th century.
How to change the world: Reflections on Marx and Marxism by Eric Hobsbawm
Man, this book is a gold finding. I consider it one of the best books I ever had the pleasure to read. It's a reflection on how Marx and Engels ideas were received by the public, the history that surrounded the writing of the manifesto, the impact of the marxist theories. Eric is an incredible historian and I think he is one of the best at collecting all the important information about the communist formation on our world. This is one of those heavier readings, so I suggest you to be very patient and read it with lots of attention. It's not impossible to understand, but it requires a bit of effort.
There is so much more books I'd like to include here, but I feel like those I reccomended give you a good idea of what the leftist side stands for.
I have all of those texts in physical format, but I can make a dropbox or google drive with digital versions and link it here! Give me a few days so I can organize it. But It should be very easy to find it online, so feel free to check. Also, libraries will probably have those texts, so I suggest going there if you can (reading in paper is so good for your understandement of a text, the cellphone or notebook screen can cause lots of discomfort).
That's all!

Hello Vesper!!! I was wondering what got you into your writing journey? (If it's a bit personal then you don't have to answer)
Also, I hope you have a wonderful day 🌞
Hi my dearest 💞
I loved this question so thank you so much. Well, you have to know that I was a very shy+bored kid (my parents choose the "organic way" so I was raised in a village with actually nothing but nature and it was great, but there was anything to do). My main event was going at the granny's bar with dad where the old people of the village spent their evening telling you their stories, life and reasoning with you ( I was 5, my fave "granny" was 85). So I started picturing these stories along saints ones ( i was educated in a nun college system). It was weird, but my parents were very supportive about my 'hobby'. Once in highschool I had to travel 1,30 hour by bus to reach the city so I plugged my headphones and just imagined things, taking random notes on books or phone . At school I started writing fanfic involving my friends and their crushes for fun and they got popular. When my sister made me met her gang of art school students the damage was done: I wrote the stories behind their graphic novels. We also had a newspaper ( -> full of crappy teen things) and some kickass fanzines back then, and we felt hyper cool.
Then I started writing for me, getting inspired by whatever moves around me.
Hope it's not too boring to read!
A big 😘
Vesper

There is a lot of love in our living room. Really. There is a lot of shouting in our living room. Our living room is very quiet. There is an elephant in our living room. There is no room for conversation in our living room. The elephant in our living room must stay because there is no way to remove it. Love does not break down all walls. There is no place for me in my family. Love may be in the air, but I cannot float. I need strong support.
Please tell me about your place in your family

Currently I can’t deny that My World is just that girl rn but…Savage EP will always hold a place in my heart since I’ll Make You Cry is probably my favorite b-side by them behind I’m Unhappy! (Since I am full of angst)
