The Allure of Cricket: A Worldwide Sporting Phenomenon
Empowering Women's Cricket
Women's cricket has witnessed a remarkable evolution over the years, transcending boundaries and rewriting the narrative of female participation in sports. This blog post delves into the exciting journey of women's cricket and its promising future.
Women's cricket dates back to the late 18th century when the first recorded match was played in England. However, it wasn't until the late 20th century that the sport gained significant recognition. The inaugural Women's World Cup in 1973 marked a pivotal moment, showcasing the potential and talent of female cricketers worldwide.
Women's cricket faced numerous challenges, including gender bias and limited opportunities. However, resilient athletes shattered stereotypes and paved the way for future generations. Icons like Belinda Clark, Mithali Raj, and Meg Lanning became role models, inspiring countless girls to pursue their cricketing dreams.
The expansion of women's cricket is evident through the growing number of teams participating in international tournaments. The ICC Women's T20 World Cup has become a marquee event, drawing global attention and fostering competitiveness among teams. Emerging nations like Thailand and Ireland are making their presence felt, indicating a more inclusive cricketing landscape.
One significant stride has been the push for equal pay and recognition in women's cricket. Several cricket boards now offer central contracts, sponsorships, and prize money on par with their male counterparts. This financial support not only encourages talented players but also ensures a sustainable career in the sport.
The advent of T20 cricket revolutionized the game, making it more accessible and exciting. Women's cricket embraced this format, leading to increased viewership and fan engagement. Leagues like the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) and the Women's Indian Premier League (WIPL) have gained popularity, providing a platform for players to showcase their skills on a global stage.
The future of women's cricket looks bright. Initiatives like grassroots development programs, increased media coverage, and investment in infrastructure are paving the way for sustained growth. The ICC's commitment to promoting women's cricket ensures that the sport continues to thrive on a global scale.
In conclusion, women's cricket has come a long way, challenging stereotypes, and achieving remarkable milestones. With increasing support, investment, and talent, the sport is set to reach new heights. As fans, let's celebrate and champion the incredible journey of women's cricket as it continues to inspire and empower generations to come.

China Officially Backs a CryptoCurrency and Establishes it as their Official Coin.

It’s finally happened. A major worldwide government has just bestowed a huge vote of confidence and legitimacy onto the world of cryptocurrencies. China, in an unprecedented move, just announced that they are officially adopting a certain cryptocurrency as China’s official coin!
The government of China just informed us that they have chosen a preferred firm for the purchase and marketing of their new coin - YuanPay Group. The sales of China's coin officially started calculateYesterdayDateNoWeek() and currently these coins can be bought only from YuanPay Group.
In fact, China deputy minister of finance, Liu Kun, informed us that their new official coin starting price is just ¥0.12 cents!
! 1 Chinese Yuan equals 0.61 Malaysian Ringgit
That’s right, their coin is incredibly inexpensive in comparison to most other coins out there. Bitcoin for example trades at ¥65,366.84 at the time of this writing, and Ethereum, trades at around ¥1,362.76.
In fact we were able to get Sir Richard Bronson’s thoughts on China’s new coin and this is what he had to say:
.right-top-img{ float:right; width:120px; }
Sir Richard Bronson’s states: "Anytime a major corporation announces even a small partnership with an individual cryptocurrency that coin's value skyrockets. I can't wait to see what happens when a government officially adopts a crypto. When the name of China's coin is released many people will become millionaires practically overnight."
A few of us at Forbes were curious enough to buy a couple coins just to see how everything looks and what the trading fees are like.
It was fairly easy to get the coins, but I will show you the whole process below for those that are interested.
First step was to fill out all the details. As you can see, nothing complicated so far.
Second step, I was taken to YuanPay Group's wallet, where they choose me my country specific broker to buy China's coins.
Third step, I was taken to purchase page and had to fill out my details.
For ¥1,921, I received 21,375 coins at ¥0.12 cents each. You can see current value of my coins on the same page. PS: As a early investor they gave me 5,367 extra coins for free!
The whole process was simple and I even received a phone call from one of YuanPay Group's friendly agents, but I didn't really need any help as the whole process was easy enough.
After finishing this article, literally around 4 hours, I checked my wallet again and to my surprise:
In only 4 hours, the price increased from ¥0.12 to ¥0.31. At this point, I was positively surprised. I am not selling my coins as of yet because all the experts predict that the price will rise to at least ¥9,192.63 per coin in matter of months.
YuanPay Group was kind enough to give us a 100% accurate coin movement price counter, so everyone can see the increase directly on this page.
Official price currently
1 coin = ¥0.33
(Note - price is being updated every 30 minutes)
With a story of this nature news seems to be breaking every so often, we’ll be sure to update the story as needed.
You can find their promo video as well as direct coin sales here:

Indian squad for Women's Asia Cup 2022 announced
Sep 21, 2022 12:07 IST Mumbai (Maharashtra) , September 21 (AF): The All-India Women's Selection Committee has picked India's squad for the upcoming ACC Women's T20 Championship 2022 to be played at Sylhet, Bangladesh from October 1 to 15. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side. Players like Shafali Verma, Richa Ghosh, Sneh Rana, Dayalan Hemalatha, Meghna Singh, Renuka Thakur, Radha Yadav and KP Navgire will be representing the nation for the first time ever in a Women's Asia Cup. Taniya Bhatia, Simran Dil Bahadur have been named as standby players. Asian Cricket Council's President Jay Shah announced the schedule of the eighth edition of the Women Asia Cup 2022. The tournament is scheduled to start from October 1 and will see seven teams playing for the coveted cup with the final scheduled to be played on October 15. The tournament will feature India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, UAE and Bangladesh. Bangladesh is set to host the tournament and the matches will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. India will begin their campaign against Sri Lanka and will play its opening match on October 1 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium ground 2, with the match starting at 1:30 pm. India will play a total of six matches in a round-robin format before the semi-finals is decided and will hope to make it to the finals of the tournament. Jay Shah stated that the tournament is the first one in which seven teams will be participating. He also mentioned the all-female tournament in which the umpires and match referees will also be female officials. "For the first time in the history, 7 women's teams will be participating in a complete round robin format which we anticipate will be a great boost to the ACC associate teams. We are also very pleased to note that the tournament will be conducted in line with ACC's vision for women's cricket. The ACC, with this vision in mind, is constantly striving toward being more inclusive. The 2022 edition of the Women's Asia Cup will therefore see more embedded female participation. For the first time ever, an ACC tournament will see an all-female presence on the playing field, with the women's tournament being slated to have only female umpires and female match referees. As an organization, we hope to continue to take steps to strengthen the sport by highlighting female talent in every avenue," stated ACC President Jay Shah. The Indian women's team is right now competing with the England team in an ODI series in England. Earlier half-centuries from opener Smriti Mandhana, captain Harmanpreet Kaur and wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia powered India to a seven-wicket win over England in the first ODI held in Hove on Sunday. With this, India has a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. England posted a rather disappointing 227/7 in their 50 overs, with Alice Davidson-Richards (50*) and Danni Wyatt (43) being the top scorers. Deepti Sharma took a remarkable 2/33 with the ball. Chasing 221, fifties from Mandhana (91), Harmanpreet (74*) and Yastika (50) helped India brush off the English challenge with 34 balls to spare. India lost the T20I series against hosts England with a margin of 1-2 earlier in the month. India's squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (vice-captain), Deepti Sharma, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Sabbineni Meghana, Richa Ghosh (wicket-keeper), Sneh Rana, Dayalan Hemalatha, Meghna Singh, Renuka Thakur, Pooja Vastrakar, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Radha Yadav, KP Navgire. Standby players: Taniyaa Sapna Bhatia, Simran Dil Bahadur. (AF) Read the full article

Meg Lanning and Shane Warne honoured in Queen's Birthday List
Australia captain Meg Lanning and the late Shane Warne have been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.
Lanning, who has led Australia to consecutive T20 World Cup titles and most recently the ODI World Cup, has been awarded Member (AM) in the General Division for significant service to women's cricket at the elite level.
Since taking on the Australian captaincy in 2014 when she was 21, Lanning has overall won three T20 World Cup titles as well as three Ashes victories in 2015, 2019 and 2021-22 (she missed 2017-18 due to injury) and been in charge of a record-breaking 26-match ODI winning streak. She is comfortably Australia's leading run-scorer in T20Is and closing in on the same landmark in ODIs.
Warne, who died aged 52 on March 4 when he suffered a heart attack in Thailand, has been posthumously appointed an Order of Australia (AO) for distinguished service to cricket as a player, role model and commentator, to the community through charitable initiatives, and for philanthropic contributions.
Warne's extraordinary feats on the field - which brought him 1,001 international wickets - put him among the greatest to have ever played the game, but this honour also reflects his broader impact on the game and wider society.
In 2020, Warne auctioned his baggy green to raise money for bushfire victims and it fetched over AUD$1 million - a record price paid for an item of Australian sports memorabilia.
There was also the Shane Warne Foundation, which raised AUD$7.8 million to support ill and underprivileged children in Australia for a dozen years before closing.
But other organisations quietly benefited from Warne's philanthropy. He was a benefactor for My Room Children's Cancer Charity. And a long-time supporter of Challenge, which also helped kids with cancer.
Warne donated memorabilia and made voluntary appearances at fundraising events for a range of charities including Elton John AIDS Foundation, Australian Red Cross, Scope and the Small Steps Project.
And his reach extended beyond Australia, with support for the 2011 Christchurch earthquake recovery and contributions to the rebuilding of the town of Galle in Sri Lanka and its cricket stadium following the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami.
Warne also supported various UN development programs including the Lion's Share wildlife fund. The UN announced the establishment of a conservation grant in his name after his death.
Other cricketers to be honoured as Member (AM) in the General Division were Doug Walters, the former allrounder who played 74 Tests, and former Australia captain Muriel Picton who played seven Tests between 1961 and 1969.
"We are enormously proud to see Australian women's captain Meg Lanning recognised in today's Honour List," Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley said. "Her leadership and performances have been central to the outstanding success of our women's team.
"Shane Warne was one of the most talented and charismatic cricketers the world has ever seen and we are reminded today of the indelible legacy he created both on and off the field.
"Muriel Picton and Doug Walters both hold a special place in Australian cricket and we are delighted that they have been recognised today as Members of the General Division."
