Been obsessed with this dude lately....

Tex is a prototype combat unit made to work in team environments, however his specific model was recalled due to an issue in the risk and reward system’s balancing that led to them becoming overwhelmed easily, and resorting to drastic self preservation, often at the expense of the rest of the unit. In short: they were cowards, and could not trust one another.

Tex is the only remaining unit from that phase in testing, and works for the criminal group who broke him out of cold storage. They don’t know he’s defective, and he chooses to keep it that way. He’ll keep playing his tendency to loose teams as simple bad luck for as long as he’s able.

Um so I’ve had this in my brain for a while and am still looking for the right words so sorry if this isn’t very eloquent. But I’m very attached to the idea that Tex is very very subtly in-human, but not in like a monstrous or alien way. She’s tall- just a little more so than is humanely possible, but not enough to notice. She’s perfectly symmetrical. Her eyes, skin and hair are all a little too oversaturated, her eyes especially being an intense garish blue. Where as Allison has bleached hair with dark roots Tex is straight up Lemon. She looks like Allison but an exaggerated, perverted version of her. You can’t call her “pretty” because she’s ever so slightly off-putting. Just a little too perfect. Only the Director can recognise her as Allison but the Director would recognise Allison in wood grain. She can also bench-press a tank.

I have loved these guys for YEARS, they are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE animatronic band and it's about time that I pay my respects. I'm getting more into the vibe of drawing fanart, as I'm more used to drawing just my OCs, but it's pretty fun.

Tex Talks Battletech is a youtube series on a niche gaming channel where this guy with an impressive and soothing deep voice goes on multi hour in-universe lectures of the individual robots in his favorite robot series. He talks about the history that led to the robot's production, its performance and reputation, and its variants. He does a good job of tying it in to this sort of in-universe moral lesson.
