Lamed x Tsadi? 👀
Hear me out guys, I know the popular ship between the elders is Teth and Tsadi, but to me, Lamed and Tsadi makes more sense. They are closer location wise and Tsadi being potentially Lamed’s bodyguard/protector. Idk, but this ship just gives me a lot of serotonin and I have only seen one other person on tumblr who ships them.
Side note, the two pictures are of lamed and tsadi in their pjs plus some cuddles

You are my light, which I will embrace.- Sky children of the light x Male reader
-----
Alert!
He/Him reader Angs, healed burns of body and face
1/2
Tumblr media
Reader always liked to go to the Rain, specifically to the Hidden Forest, since no one would bother him and he could leave whenever he wanted. The only one who knows his whereabouts is usually Daleth or Teth because they are the ones he trusts the most.
They know that their reader goes to that place because there is really something wrong with him, he holds back tears very often when I argue with Aleph because somehow… no, no, it's that he can't understand the reason for his loneliness, leaving behind the rest when it's wrong. he understands it. but he doesn't understand when he's been gone for days, he cares even if he doesn't show it…
Lamed always worries about his favorite son since he loves you very much and hates to see you cry, Ayin is the owner of the hidden forest until the day he saw you cry without the mask he went to tell the rest of the eders but he only managed to find Teth.
He already knew, he trusted everything he said, because he already smelled that something was wrong with you, but as Ayin explained Teth's face to him, he became more concerned, he did not want to continue listening and began to think of possible solutions for you.
"Hey, come here now, I need to talk to you" His tone was annoying, Aleph is and to this day he will always maintain that rude behavior with you. "Are you here? Okay…follow me and don't talk" He knows you wouldn't talk to what he remembered what Teth told him: "Don't even think about making him feel bad again, making him not go to Lluvia is already a challenge, don't ruin it now, Daleth will go with you, only he won't be there, he'll stay listening to the conversation between the two of them" Aleph nodded as if he already knew but still wanted to hear it from the Elder's mouth.
They arrived at Dawn Island
A nice quiet place, he started talking, praying he wouldn't screw up. "Daleth, you no longer need to hide…" Your voice sounded cold and soft. Aleph froze in place, flustered, Daleth appeared. "How…is it possible…Reader?" Daleth was somewhat afraid that you would do something crazy, like going back to Lluvia or going to Broken Bridge, one wrong foot in that black water and you lose the light that keeps you alive, Aleph also knew about the danger of being there.
"I'm just sorry…I also felt your concern, your pity for me, I don't need that right now I just have to go to-" I won't let you continue..and who? Aleph, he shouldn't have made the situation worse and he did it his way. Daleth went looking for help since he knew that he was not going to end well at all.
"You're not worrying everyone, that idiot Teth is worried… not all the elders are worried about you.-I'm worried, damn it!" "What?…" Your voice was transmitted in a whisper, you couldn't even see anymore and not because of the mask but because of the tears. "Yes! I'm worried about you, I don't want you to go to the hidden forest anymore, I don't want you to go to a broken bridge, those cursed waters are-If it's me that's the cause of you, tell me please, or if it's someone else, I kill him! It's just that I don't want to-" He fell silent seeing that your mask was on the ground… and you were crying silently, he saw how your burns healed but a scar remained. "I hate him so much! It's torture to breathe knowing that you're only upset with me… It bothers me, I can't take this mask off because of the injuries I gave Eden! It's so annoying!" You stop talking when you feel that he hugs you.
You try to move away but you didn't have much strength to cheer him up, you surrender to him. -Reader…it's fine…everything will be fine, I promise, I, like the boy who likes to fuck every moment-Well you understand…it doesn't matter what happened in Eden, just because it's bad doesn't mean it's horrible Seriously, I'm here, instead of Daleth, please trust me… I'm not here to make things worse- Even if they're bad, they can improve, so stay here, with everyone, with me…" He hoped the situation would improve, I wanted to reverse the situation, that you were no longer bad.
"But I don't- My mask…." You instantly turned pale, your face was uncovered, with burns and scars… you couldn't do anything since Aleph prevented you.
He put some force so you don't cover your face, he wanted to see. "Guys! Oh..damn..reader, Aleph! what happened!?" It was Daleth with Tsadi in the end, only Aleph was surprised to see Tsadi and not the Samekh twins… at least they could talk. "Honey .." Tsadi was not able to speak without feeling bad for you, because he already knew how that happened to you .. he just never revealed it to anyone .. "Kids…would you be able to leave us alone?" Aleph refuses but is dragged by Daleth.
"Tsadi…I, I…I don't!- Damn it!" Tsadi had to stay calm, he knew everything so she could be more clear in what she said. "My love, you shouldn't- you don't need to carry all the weight of guilt
let me help you, let me give you light, let me show you everything you are for my boy, you are excellent, never doubt it, okay? Let me take care of you" He knew how to calm you down, he knew what happened in Eden, the burns, king or better known as Resh… he knew every part of you and how important Resh was to you. "He would be sad if he saw you like this, don't you think? He would like you to show your face and arms more and if someone makes fun of it, believe me Teth will take care of it, so" He put a finger to wipe away your fallen tears since it's too much big, you let it all out, after that.
"Let's go back with the rest now? Everyone must be worried and I wonder if Aleph is still alive hehe come on, I'll take you" For you Tsadi and Teth were like the parents you never had. "Sure…Teth?..why are you qu-Lamed..Daleth and Aleph..?" "Daleth came along with Aleph and told us what was happening…you worried me a lot darling, even if I know you are in good hands with Tsadi-" You hugged her so tight that she cried. "No, I should thank you and everyone, after all, everyone was worried about me." Teth approached Tsadi and a little far from the challenge he said something that impacted Tsadi. "Thank you for going with them and for controlling the situation so well, I am truly grateful that I did not lose the reader or anyone, and I hope that it continues like this for many more years" "Honey..I- I love you so much! Hahahaha!" I hold the Elder by the hips and kiss him.
"Cut the crap, don't have sex here anymore- too late…" Aleph hates how lovey-dovey they can be, especially Tsadi "Leave them, they have been lovers for a long time.." Lamed, she is like a mother to you. "Yeah I guess so…" You said happy for them "Well, young Prairie, if you don't want the reader, I'll gladly marry him-" I took you in my arms and they ran away. "That will never happen!" "No, wait-! - "Let them, they are young, they need to be themselves my love" "Love" Lamded said she would always support everything equally and love everyone equally.
But…we all know that happiness doesn't last forever, even if we love the right person.

Season of Shattering spoilers:
Teth is almost directly above Lamed. Does that mean the ship is canon???
Yes and I will not be accepting any other reason as to why they're like that. Teth wanted wife before they died.

I had a dream where there was some hidden murals in gw that had some sweet sweet Elder Lore™
Part of the murals in question heavily implied that TethxLamed was A Thing lmfao.
There was also some details abt how the diamonds in the elders' masks worked. Specifically showing Teth's mask as an example.

how about Tsadi! (for the ask game)
Pakdeh Sadeeeeee
Sexuality headcanon = Biromantic demisexual
Favorite ship = Tsadi x Lamed is definitely my favorite one. I have a soft spot for brain x brawn ships. Tsadi x Ayin is also super cute
BroTP = Tsadi & Samekh twin because I like the father and kids dynamic. Tsadi & Teth because I want them to be drinking buddies
NoTP = not a big fan Tsadi x Teth since I see them more as siblings than lovers, and Tsadi x Resh unless it's a joke or if Resh and Alef are separate people
Random headcanon = uses he/they. wants to learn crocheting but their hands are too big. Also they can't braid their own hair (because big hands) so they ask Lamed or another spirit to braid it for them
General = Haha chonky jojo character gets down from the top of a building and almost crushing a child go brrrrr . I like him

saw that you were open for headcanons, anything for Teth?
Teth/Forest Elder is a bit harder. Nearly every elder has like, 2 directions that I feel like their story could go. Before we get to that, though, some observations:
The rain and water hurt you. This is pretty strange to me, since in a number of other places in the game, that’s not true. In wasteland, the bad water is strongly implied to be oil spills - however, in prairie, isle, and triumph (yes i’m counting the space underneath the ice skating rink) the water is fine.
Forest has the highest concentration of darkness to burn. (with the exception of wasteland, and even then, I don’t think there’s as many, just a few big ones.) All the temples in the other realms have no darkness in the main area, save for hers*.
She snatches up your light like she’s entitled to it, or it’ll run away. She does not care about you.
So, in conclusion, she’s likely the elder most corrupted by darkness. With Teth, my two theories are:
the @twinsoftriumph idea: Her realm was strip-mined out of greed and she could not refuse orders, and so was forcibly corrupted. (x)
the @krabandkrill idea: She overworked her realm out of a fierce desire to do more/be better/have power. (x)
To be candid, idk which path to take. they’re both good.
More food for thought: I think each of the elders go through their own character arc as the kingdom of sky reached its destruction. However, it doesn’t really make sense for her to still be in the middle of her arc when you reach her (ie, still in the state that made her “fall”): the first interpretation makes more sense, narrative-wise, but the second plays into the bad choices underpinning the sky world we see. Furthermore, the “light” in sky is strongly tied to togetherness, giving, and kindness, whereas “darkness” is tied to greed, isolation, and cruelty. So if she’s the elder most corrupted by darkness... well, draw your own conclusions!
I guess I don’t have much in the way of headcanons, just a bunch of thoughts that don’t really go anywhere. I hope you enjoyed anyway!
*I am ascribing pronouns because I feel like it. However, I don’t think any creature in sky has a gender as we understand it; they’re all some aspect of non-binary. I headcanon teth and lamed as more lady, tasidi and daleth (that’s prairie elder’s name right) as more male, and the twins as one male-ish and one female-ish. Honestly, ascribing a gender to anything in sky feels just wrong. Any pronouns I use are “they’re closer to this gender but don’t wholly identify as it.”

BOOK OF LAMENTATIONS OF JEREMIAS (JEREMIAH) - From The Douay-Rheims Bible - Latin Vulgate
Chapter 2
INTRODUCTION.
In these Jeremias laments in a most pathetic manner the miseries of his people, and the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, in Hebrew verses, beginning with different letters according to the order of the Hebrew alphabet. Ch. --- In the first chapter the order is exactly observed, but in the three next phe comes before ain, either for some mystery to us unknown, or by the derangement of transcribers, who perhaps thought that those verses were better connected, as they seem to be, (C.) though this is not very clear. H. --- In such pieces the sentiments of a pensive heart are poured out without much connection. W. --- The Greeks style this word qrhnoi, and Heb. kinoth, or lamentations. H. --- S. Jerom, (2 Par. xxxv. 25.) thinks it was the first composition of Jeremias, and sung at the death of Josias. W. S. Jer. in Zac. xii. 11. --- The eulogy of the king seems to belong to him rather than to Sedecias. C. iv. 20. C. --- Yet it might afterwards be applied to the latter, (H.) and to the ruin of Jerusalem. Eccli. xlix. 8. S. Jer. Pref. Theod. &c. --- The city is represented standing, and sometimes in ruins. Chap. v. seems to have been written after the rest. v. 4, 18. C. --- It is not acrostic like them. The prophet alludes to the wretched condition of the Jews, after the murder of their Messias; and hence the Church makes use of the lamentations on the anniversary of our Saviour's passion, inviting all sinners, both Jews and Gentiles, to repent: "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, be converted to the Lord thy God." W. --- Many passages are applicable to a soul fallen into sin, as the commentary under the name of S. Jerom, (H.) compiled by Rabanus, (Du Pin) shews. H.
The additional Notes in this Edition of the New Testament will be marked with the letter A. Such as are taken from various Interpreters and Commentators, will be marked as in the Old Testament. B. Bristow, C. Calmet, Ch. Challoner, D. Du Hamel, E. Estius, J. Jansenius, M. Menochius, Po. Polus, P. Pastorini, T. Tirinus, V. Bible de Vence, W. Worthington, Wi. Witham. — The names of other authors, who may be occasionally consulted, will be given at full length.
Verses are in English and Latin. HAYDOCK CATHOLIC BIBLE COMMENTARY
This Catholic commentary on the Old Testament, following the Douay-Rheims Bible text, was originally compiled by Catholic priest and biblical scholar Rev. George Leo Haydock (1774-1849). This transcription is based on Haydock's notes as they appear in the 1859 edition of Haydock's Catholic Family Bible and Commentary printed by Edward Dunigan and Brother, New York, New York.

Chapter 2
(No prolog)
[1] Aleph. How hath the Lord covered with obscurity the daughter of Sion in his wrath! how hath he cast down from heaven to the earth the glorious one of Israel, and hath not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger!
ALEPH. Quomodo obtexit caligine in furore suo Dominus filiam Sion; projecit de caelo in terram inclytam Israel, et non est recordatus scabelli pedum suorum in die furoris sui!
[2] Beth. The Lord hath cast down headlong, and hath not spared, all that was beautiful in Jacob: he hath destroyed in his wrath the strong holds of the virgin of Juda, and brought them down to the ground: he hath made the kingdom unclean, and the princes thereof.
BETH. Praecipitavit Dominus, nec pepercit omnia speciosa Jacob : destruxit in furore suo muntiones virginis Juda, et dejecit in terram; polluit regnum et principes ejus.
[3] Ghimel. He hath broken in his fierce anger all the horn of Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy: and he hath kindled in Jacob as it were a flaming fire devouring round about.
GHIMEL. Confregit in ira furoris sui omne cornu Israel; avertit retrorsum dexteram suam a facie inimici, et succendit in Jacob quasi ignem flammae devorantis in gyro.
[4] Daleth. He hath bent his bow as an enemy, he hath fixed his right hand as an adversary: and he hath killed all that was fair to behold in the tabernacle of the daughter of Sion, he hath poured out his indignation like fire.
DALETH. Tetendit arcum suum quasi inimicus, firmavit dexteram suam quasi hostis, et occidit omne quod pulchrum erat visu in tabernaculo filiae Sion; effudit quasi ignem indignationem suam.
[5] He. The Lord is become as an enemy: he hath cast down Israel headlong, he hath overthrown all the walls thereof: he hath destroyed his strong holds, and hath multiplied in the daughter of Juda the afflicted, both men and women.
HE. Factus est Dominus velut inimicus, praecipitavit Israel : praecipitavit omnia moenia ejus, dissipavit munitiones ejus, et replevit in filia Juda humiliatum et humiliatam.
[6] Vau. And he hath destroyed his tent as a garden, he hath thrown down his tabernacle: the Lord hath caused feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Sion: and hath delivered up king and priest to reproach, and to the indignation of his wrath.
VAU. Et dissipavit quasi hortum tentorium suum; demolitus est tabernaculum suum. Oblivioni tradidit Dominus in Sion festivitatem et sabbatum; et in opprobrium, et in indignationem furoris sui, regem et sacerdotem.
[7] Zain. The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath cursed his sanctuary: he hath delivered the walls of the towers thereof into the hand of the enemy: they have made a noise in the house of the Lord, as in the day of a solemn feast.
ZAIN. Repulit Dominus altare suum; maledixit sanctificationi suae : tradidit in manu inimici muros turrium ejus. Vocem dederunt in domo Domini sicut in die solemni.
[8] Heth. The Lord hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Sion: he hath stretched out his line, and hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying: and the bulwark hath mourned, and the wall hath been destroyed together.
HETH. Cogitavit Dominus dissipare murum filiae Sion; tetendit funiculum suum, et non avertit manum suam a perditione : luxitque antemurale, et murus pariter dissipatus est.
[9] Teth. Her gates are sunk into the ground: he hath destroyed, and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more, and her prophets have found no vision from the Lord.
TETH. Defixae sunt in terra portae ejus, perdidit et contrivit vectes ejus; regem ejus et principes ejus in gentibus : non est lex, et prophetae ejus non invenerunt visionem a Domino.
[10] Jod. The ancients of the daughter of Sion sit upon the ground, they have held their peace: they have sprinkled their heads with dust, they are girded with haircloth, the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
JOD. Sederunt in terra, conticuerunt senes filiae Sion; consperserunt cinere capita sua, accincti sunt ciliciis : abjecerunt in terram capita sua virgines Jerusalem.
[11] Caph. My eyes have failed with weeping, my bowels are troubled: my liver is poured out upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people, when the children, and the sucklings, fainted away in the streets of the city.
CAPH. Defecerunt prae lacrimis oculi mei, conturbata sunt viscera mea; effusum est in terra jecur meum super contritione filiae populi mei, cum deficeret parvulus et lactens in plateis oppidi.
[12] Lamed. They said to their mothers: Where is corn and wine? when they fainted away as the wounded in the streets of the city: when they breathed out their souls in the bosoms of their mothers.
LAMED. Matribus suis dixerunt : Ubi est triticum et vinum? cum deficerent quasi vulnerati in plateis civitatis, cum exhalarent animas suas in sinu matrum suarum.
[13] Mem. To what shall I compare thee? or to what shall I liken thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? to what shall I equal thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Sion? for great as the sea is thy destruction: who shall heal thee?
MEM. Cui comparabo te, vel cui assimilabo te, filia Jerusalem? cui exaequabo te, et consolabor te, virgo, filia Sion? magna est enim velut mare contritio tua : quis medebitur tui?
[14] Nun. Thy prophets have seen false and foolish things for thee: and they have not laid open thy iniquity, to excite thee to penance: but they have seen for thee false revelations and banishments.
NUN. Prophetae tui viderunt tibi falsa et stulta; nec aperiebant iniquitatem tuam, ut te ad poenitentiam provocarent; viderunt autem tibi assumptiones falsas, et ejectiones.
[15] Samech. All they that passed by the way have clapped their hands at thee: they have hissed, and wagged their heads at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying: Is this the city of perfect beauty, the joy of all the earth?
SAMECH. Plauserunt super te manibus omnes transeuntes per viam; sibilaverunt et moverunt caput suum super filiam Jerusalem : Haeccine est urbs, dicentes, perfecti decoris, gaudium universae terrae?
[16] Phe. All thy enemies have opened their mouth against thee: they have hissed, and gnashed with the teeth, and have said: We will swallow her up: lo, this is the day which we looked for: we have found it, we have seen it.
PHE. Aperuerunt super te os suum omnes inimici tui : sibilaverunt, et fremuerunt dentibus, et dixerunt : Devorabimus : en ista est dies quam exspectabamus; invenimus, vidimus.
[17] Ain. The Lord hath done that which he purposed, he hath fulfilled his word, which he commanded in the days of old: he hath destroyed, and hath not spared, and he hath caused the enemy to rejoice over thee, and hath set up the horn of thy adversaries.
AIN. Fecit Dominus quae cogitavit; complevit sermonem suum, quem praeceperat a diebus antiquis : destruxit, et non pepercit, et laetificavit super te inimicum, et exaltavit cornu hostium tuorum.
[18] Sade. Their heart cried to the Lord upon the walls of the daughter of Sion: Let tears run down like a torrent day and night: give thyself no rest, and let not the apple of thy eye cease.
SADE. Clamavit cor eorum ad Dominum super muros filiae Sion : Deduc quasi torrentem lacrimas per diem et noctem; non des requiem tibi, neque taceat pupilla oculi tui.
[19] Coph. Arise, give praise in the night, in the beginning of the watches: pour out thy heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands to him for the life of thy little children, that have fainted for hunger at the top of all the streets.
COPH. Consurge, lauda in nocte, in principio vigiliarum; effunde sicut aquam cor tuum ante conspectum Domini : leva ad eum manus tuas pro anima parvulorum tuorum, qui defecerunt in fame in capite omnium compitorum.
[20] Res. Behold, O Lord, and consider whom thou hast thus dealt with: shall women then eat their own fruit, their children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?
RES. Vide, Domine, et considera quem vindemiaveris ita. Ergone comedent mulieres fructum suum, parvulos ad mensuram palmae? si occiditur in sanctuario Domini sacerdos et propheta?
[21] Sin. The child and the old man lie without on the ground: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword: thou hast slain them in the day of thy wrath: thou hast killed, and shewn them no pity.
SIN. Jacuerunt in terra foris puer et senex; virgines meae et juvenes mei ceciderunt in gladio : interfecisti in die furoris tui, percussisti, nec misertus es.
[22] Thau. Thou hast called as to a festival, those that should terrify me round about, and there was none in the day of the wrath of the Lord that escaped and was left: those that I brought up, and nourished, my enemy hath consumed them.
THAU. Vocasti quasi ad diem solemnem, qui terrerent me de circuitu; et non fuit in die furoris Domini qui effugeret, et relinqueretur : quos educavi et enutrivi, inimicus meus consumpsit eos.

The only other thing I'd like to point out is that, if I remember correctly, the stream this was noted in was in japanese. Now, I haven't watched the stream nor know japanese but when you use google translate back to Japanese for the word "related" you get a lot of different meanings.
Tumblr media
Not all of them refer to a family kind of related. Unless TGC uses some less ambiguous wording in the future I don't see trouble with the ship itself, but I understand why some people may not be comfortable with it.
Yeeeeah so uhm - that’s a lesser known thing so I assume Teth X Lamed shippers just don’t know but :
Tumblr media
that’s from the doc about canon lore and this particular fact is from a livestream…
I… How would you all interpret that? I personally can’t ship Lamed and Teth because that just… that sounds like they are related to me. I know it MIGHT mean a different kind of relation like… Maybe there is a relation with the masks and the ir function but… yeah.
What do you all think?
