We are not talking about a generator, but about an additional battery Tesla has released a slew of details about the Cybertruck, confirming that the vehicle offers a range extender option. The Cybertruck with dual-motor all-wheel drive and the top-spec Cyberbeast with three-motor all-wheel drive will receive range extender options that will increase their range from 545 to 755 km and from 515 to 710 km, respectively. [caption id="attachment_85522" align="aligncenter" width="780"] Tesla[/caption] The Cybertruck received a range extender that differs from the industry's traditional ones. Tesla CEO Elon Musk didn't mention the range extender option during the presentation, but later clarified in X that we were talking about another battery pack. Asked to explain what a range extender is, Musk replied: “An additional package that takes up about 1/3 of the truck bed. At the same time, you still have enough space for a large amount of cargo. It is designed for very long trips or towing heavy trailers.” This is a completely different approach to past "range extenders" in electric vehicles, which were typically gasoline generators (or even all-gasoline engines) that served to assist or charge the battery. The BMW i3, Chevrolet Volt and the upcoming Ram Ramcharger truck all work this way. It is not yet clear whether Cybertruck owners will be able to independently install and remove the additional battery if necessary.

Elon Musk, leader #1
We are all looking for an extraordinary company with exceptional leaders and management. Tesla is an American electric automobile manufacturer which started in 2003 as Tesla Motors. Tesla manufactures electric automobiles as well as Superchargers that are electric charging stations for customers and have recently branched out into solar energy.
Tesla states that its mission is “to accelerate the world’s transition into sustainable energy.” (Tesla,2021) This shows Tesla’s dedication to being a leader in the future of green energy. Tesla’s vision statement “is to create the most compelling car company of the 21st century by driving the world’s transition to electric vehicles.” (Tesla, 2021)
Tesla was originally founded in 2003 by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. Elon Musk joined Eberhard and Tarpenning in 2014 and is currently Tesla Motors Chief executive officer. Elon Musk is a co-founder of Tesla Motors. Elon Musk oversees all product design, the global manufacturing of their electric automobiles, solar energy products, and many battery products.
Elon Musk has proven to be an extraordinary leader with vision. “As lead designer at SpaceX, Elon oversees the development of rockets and spacecraft for missions to Earth orbit and ultimately to other planets.” (Tesla, 2021) “Elon is also CEO of Neuralink, which is developing ultra-high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect the human brain to computers.
With his transformational leadership style, “He also launched The Boring Company, which combines fast, affordable tunneling technology with an all-electric public transportation system in order to alleviate soul-crushing urban congestion and enable high-speed long-distance travel.” (Tesla, 2021)
Elon Musk is an intuitive creative visionary and that brings his ideas to fruition. As a leader, he likes to motivate and inspire his employees. Elon Musk is opposed to large and frequent meetings. Musk believes they can be unproductive and are unnecessary. Musk has directed his employees while in meetings to keep the terminology simple and easy to understand for all. Elon has expressed his favor of free flow communication between departments and levels of hierarchy. "Communication should travel via the shortest path necessary to get the job done, not through the 'chain of command'. Any manager who attempts to enforce chain of command communication will soon find themselves working elsewhere," Musk said in his internal letter. (By Stephanie Maida Published: September 25, 2019)
Musk has had a drive for production, resulting in experimenting with new production methods, such as automating some installations against the advice of engineers. These automated productions did not last long and were eventually pulled. Some of Musk’s shortcomings have been noted, “This anecdote is emblematic of Musk’s management style, Tesla insiders told CNBC. Interviews with 35 current and former employees depict an ambitious CEO whose drive to make everything from scratch sometimes impaired his decision-making, leading him to approve expensive projects that failed and delayed production. They also described occasions where Musk refused to consider methods pioneered by other automakers and ignored advice from industry veterans within Tesla’s ranks. (Kolodny, 2018)
Tesla’s leaders offer an excellent benefits package that includes Health Care, Dental, Vision, as well as Stock Options. Tesla offers their employees paid holidays, vacation time, as well as 401k options. The average yearly employee salaries range from $62k-$141k depending on the position. Tesla’s leaders chose to keep their hiring requirements broad as to not eliminate new talent with vision making some High School graduates eligible for employment at the entry-level. Tesla will accept the military experience and automotive technical training for some positions. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and successfully pass the required training with an 85% or better. (Tesla,2021) These are some of the incentives and benefits that Tesla and Elon Musk utilize to motivate and encourage new creative visionaries to become team members.

How does the Tesla Model X hold up after one month?
The Tesla Model X is one heck of a car. Its crazy Falcon doors and AutoPilot features highlight one of the most tech-centric cars on the market right now. Jon was lucky enough to get one a month ago, and he’s back to let you know how the car has held up.
Jon took us through the experience of picking up the brand new car, and he’s continuing the video series with a one month later update. Do you Falcon doors hold up well? Is it that much different than the Model S? How have the white leather seats held up with two children?
Jon answers all of those questions and more in the video above.

Why electric cars are not the best choice for taxi drivers Tesla cars, and electric vehicles in general, may not be the best choice for drivers of Uber or other ride-hailing services who make a living doing it, according to a story published on the YouTube channel Out of Spec Guide. The owner of the new Tesla Model Y said that the car was purchased in April 2021. A year later, he drove about 64 thousand km, after which the electric car began to show less and less remaining range when the battery was fully charged. [caption id="attachment_85500" align="aligncenter" width="780"] Tesla Model Y[/caption] Initially, the range on a full charge was 525 km, but after a week the estimated range was just over 418 km. Tesla eventually issued an error BMS_a066 - “Maximum battery level and range may be reduced.” A week later the car stopped charging. The owner made an appointment at a Tesla service center, where he was informed that the high-voltage battery needed to be replaced and all this would be done under warranty, since the electric car was only one year old. This Tesla Model Y is already running on its third battery after only 100,000 km. As the owner later found out, he did not receive a new battery. If the battery is replaced under warranty, Tesla will provide a remanufactured battery that uses used cells instead of new ones. After just 30,000 km, the car again displayed the same error, indicating that the replacement battery had also failed. The second time, the owner went to another Tesla service center, where he had the battery replaced within a week. https://youtu.be/o3E2bIbek-M Today he has about 170,000 km on the odometer, that is, he has driven more on the second replacement battery, but the battery warranty expires at 190,000 km, which means that next time he may have to shell out more than $10,000 for replacement out of your own pocket.

Over the year they fell by 18% In November, total wholesale shipments (local retail sales and exports) of Tesla vehicles assembled in China fell from the same period a year earlier. Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicle volume totaled 82,432 units last month, down nearly 18% from a year ago, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). We must also take into account the fact that a year ago the result was a record high - 100,291 cars. Then Tesla began cutting prices to stimulate sales. Compared to October 2023, sales volume increased by more than 10,000 units [caption id="attachment_85482" align="aligncenter" width="780"] Teslas[/caption] Sales of Chinese-made Teslas have collapsed. The company is losing market share It is too early to say that Tesla has problems in China, especially since the company is trying to increase production and sales of the significantly modernized Model 3 (Highland) and the slightly updated Tesla Model Y in China. However, this year's growth dynamics will be much lower than in previous years, and potentially lower than the market average, which, according to insideevs, means that Tesla is losing its market share. In the first ten months of the year, Tesla sold more than 460,000 Model 3 and Model Y models in China (up 38% year-on-year) and exports topped 300,000 (up 20% year-on-year).

Self-healing coating will be applied to the Cybertruck for $6,500 During the official premiere , Tesla showed the Cybertruck armored pickup truck exclusively in one color - the color of the stainless steel from which the exterior body panels are made. But this does not mean at all that the color will be exclusively “metallic”. [caption id="attachment_85403" align="aligncenter" width="780"] Tesla Cybertruck[/caption] It turns out that the Cybertruck can be either black or white. The option costs $6,500, but the most interesting thing is that this cost is not charged for paint at all, but for... film! That is, the Cybertruck will not be painted in any case, it will simply be wrapped in film. But this is not a simple film, but a self-healing one based on urethane. Tesla claims it is scratch-resistant and more environmentally friendly than regular vinyl. Tesla Cybertruck can be black or white. [caption id="attachment_85404" align="aligncenter" width="780"] Tesla Cybertruck[/caption] Interestingly, you can keep the metallic look of the Cybertruck, but still wrap the car in film. For this, an option called premium satin clear film is offered, and an additional payment for it is $5,000. It must be said that the protective film itself is not something new for Tesla. The company offers it for both Model 3 and Model Y, and the price is even higher - $7,500. It is unknown whether black or white Cybertruck will be available in Russia, but prices for regular “metal” versions for Russia have already been announced .

"Cyberpickup" is not afraid of 9 mm bullets A video of a Tesla Cybertruck pickup being tested for resistance... to bullets has appeared on the Internet. Even at the dawn of the creation of the car, Elon Musk promised that the pickup would be armored, now it’s time to answer for your words. [caption id="attachment_85344" align="aligncenter" width="780"] Tesla Cybertruck[/caption] This official video was shown in the United States during the premiere of the production Cybertruck a couple of days ago. It turned out that the car was tested with three automatic weapons: a Thompson submachine gun, a Glock 9 mm caliber pistol, and an MP5-SD submachine gun of the same 9 mm caliber. Tesla Cybertruck was shot with a Glock pistol and an MP5-SD submachine gun. Video https://youtu.be/aMFZnPERGQ8 As you can see, none of the bullets penetrated the outer door panel of the pickup truck, although it did leave some significant dents. Apparently, the car is really not afraid of shots from a 9-mm automatic weapon, but if the caliber is larger, then most likely the Cybertruck will not be able to withstand it. But in any case, this is an unprecedented level of protection for a production car. The Tesla Cybertruck's exterior panels are made from ultra-hard cold-rolled stainless steel. While a typical car's door panels are 0.7-1mm thick, the Cybertruck's door panel is 3mm thick. Stainless steel is also more resistant to tearing than regular steel doors, which is why in the video the bullet is stretching the steel rather than tearing it.

Excerpt from a presentation led by Elon Musk Tesla began delivering its new Cybertruck pickup truck to select employees and held a big presentation yesterday. CEO Elon Musk revealed several characteristics of the pickup truck with a stainless steel body, and also suggested assessing its acceleration capabilities. [caption id="attachment_85042" align="alignnone" width="780"] Tesla Cybertruck[/caption] Elon Musk confirmed that for the test they purchased a brand new 2023 Porsche 911 (the exact equipment was not specified). The video shows that the Tesla Cybertruck beat the Porsche 911 by more than a body. But viewers were delighted that at the end of the video the following was revealed: the Tesla Cybertruck was towing the same Porsche 911. Tesla Cybertruck beat the latest Porsche 911 in a drag race while towing the same Porsche 911 The screen also shows claimed quarter-mile times of under 11 seconds and 0-60 mph acceleration of 2.6 seconds. These figures correspond to the most expensive Cyberbeast trim level. We just have to wait until the Cybertruck ends up in the hands of autobloggers, who will make a lot of other comparisons. https://youtu.be/0rlzCHsDoxE It was previously reported that the Tesla Cybertruck cannot roll over and is more rigid than the McLaren P1 supercar.

McLaren P1 was released 10 years ago Tesla continues to tout the Cybertruck, having previously said its stainless steel body is "bulletproof." Now Elon Musk has said that the Cybertruck is stiffer than the McLaren P1 and that it cannot roll over. During the event to deliver the first 10 vehicles, Musk said the Cyberruck is "a better pickup than regular pickups, but also a better sports car than other sports cars." He noted that the torsional rigidity of the Cybertruck is higher than that of the McLaren P1 hypercar. Some of this rigidity may have come from the stainless steel panels, but Musk hasn't provided any official numbers or chassis details to back up that claim. The Tesla Cybertruck cannot roll over and is more rigid than the McLaren P1 supercar. [caption id="attachment_85021" align="aligncenter" width="780"] Tesla Cybertruck[/caption] Musk says the Cybertruck's extremely low center of gravity (same as the Model S) and wide stance will prevent it from flipping over even in a side impact collision. At the same event, Elon Musk unveiled the Cyber Beast .

The event will start at 20:00 Moscow time As of yesterday evening, Tesla is no longer accepting pre-orders for the Cybertruck. The company probably decided that the collected pre-orders would be enough for the near future. According to insideevs, in September of this year the number of orders for the Tesla Cybertruck exceeded 2 million. The first million was collected in May 2021, 1.25 million was recorded in August 2021 and 1.3 million in November 2021. [caption id="attachment_84894" align="aligncenter" width="780"] Tesla Cybertruck[/caption] Tesla Cybertruck can no longer be reserved. The Tesla Cybertruck page now displays a countdown timer until the first delivery. The Cybertruck cannot be reserved at this time. Tesla first briefly updated the page to raise the reservation fee from $100 to $250, then went back to $100, but eventually removed the ability to reserve a pickup truck altogether. The Cybertruck delivery event is scheduled to begin at 20:00 Moscow time.
