(via Teri Garr, Comic Actress in Offbeat Roles, Is Dead at 79 - The New York Times)
Teri Garr, the alternately shy and sassy blond actress whose little-girl voice, deadpan comic timing, expressive eyes and cinematic bravery in the face of seemingly crazy male characters made her a star of 1970s and ’80s movies and earned her an Oscar nomination for her role in “Tootsie,” died on Tuesday at her home in Los Angeles. She was 79.

Teri Garr has died. Grateful we have her work (which is an impressive list) &, for me personally, I am glad that all of her Letterman appearances are easily available on YouTube. She was about as charming, funny & engaging as a person can possibly be. She fought a long battle w MS. May she R.I.P. now

RIP Teri Garr (December 11, 1944-October 29, 2024)
Known for Young Frankenstein, Tootsie, and Friends, she was also the brightest spot in Star Trek's otherwise lackluster backdoor pilot of a Season Two finale, Assignment: Earth, as Roberta Lincoln. (After all, we know Kirk has a fondness for Lincolns.)
