7 Practical Tips for The Solo Travel Enthusiast in You
Traveling is an exciting way to explore the world and know about yourself. Although most people can imagine the satisfaction of solo travel, it does not seem very safe. But like everything, you only know how it will turn out once you go. And if it still bothers you thinking about safety, pick from affordable teardrop campers for sale, for it is the most reliable transport alternative. And here are some practical tips to free you from worry during the trip.
1. Do Some Homework
An essential point to traveling alone is knowing where you are going. With the internet by your side, this shouldn’t be difficult. Research the location and gather as much important information as you can. If you are good with languages, try to learn some commonly used words to communicate in the local language.
2. Have A Definite Plan
Following research, sketch out your plan for the trip. You should know the route, the transport options, the travel time between specific locations and similar aspects beforehand. Your plan should also include a backup strategy if things don’t go as expected.
3. Learn To Communicate With Strangers
Human interaction is vital to travel experiences. Especially when you are travelling alone, you need to learn the skill to speak effectively with strangers. It might seem hard at first, but it is nothing you can’t cultivate with a bit of practice.
4. Know Where To Get Help
Before you head out, note down all the essential details of the location, like the local police station contact or emergency helplines, where you can get quick help. It will keep you equipped in case of a dangerous situation.
5. Pack All Essentials
Another critical point is to pack all the essentials for the trip. These include your identity documents, transport papers, electronic devices for connectivity, suitable clothes and accessories, flashlights, etc. If you are travelling in a teardrop camper, you need not pack light as it can accommodate everything you need.
6. Record Your Activities
Keeping a note of all your activities, either by jotting them down in your diary or video recording your adventures, is a great way to remain safe. You can also cherish them as fun moments once you return from your trip.
7. Believe In Your Survival Skills
Finally, the most necessary for solo travel is your faith in yourself. Unless you have that, all the other essentials won’t amount to much. Believe in your survival skills and hone them as much as possible by starting with small solo trips. It will improve your confidence to take longer trips with time.

Could you please write a fanfiction based on previous request of obsessive insecure Baldwin IV with female reader
I'll accept this idea since all of you are in love with his obsessive mood but I warn you, it's angst :) but don't worry, I'll do fluff one next time♡
(King baldwin iv x reader one shot)
Warning: angst, mention of blood and d🥀eath
:"I thought that you kept me by your side until now just because of your interest in me"...
:"It's not what you think, I have kept you until now so that I can keep the peace between Jerusalem and your father's empire . Believe me. It's good for both of us."
:"How could you be so selfish like your father?...
:"I'm not!...
"Please... let me go. I have to go back to my family. My father is surely mad with that. I beg you."
:"what about me?"...
Teardrops appeared like a shaky curtain in front of y/n's large and beautiful eyes. Her mouth was open and ready for another protest, but no words came out.
While holding both of y/n's hands in his own, the half-life king, in a sudden movement, weakness overcame his strength and fell to his knees.
"You thought I would let you go? I will never let you be separated from me.
:"I...it really breaks my heart to think that I've only been here as a hostage until now. I swear I'll get out of here anyway."
:"I am ready to k*ill you with my own hands, but I will never let you leave here. Your whole body and soul belong here. And also to me. Only me."
.....
:" god help me!... My legs can't take it anymore. How much left?...
"My lady! Now we are approaching the gate of Damascus, but the front of the gate is full of guard knights. It seems that the king has heard of your escape."
:".....
"My lady, do you have any idea?"
:"We have to wait for a convoy so that we can impersonate them and pass through this gate. A convoy is coming from far away. Hurry up and tell them that we will join them from now on. don't Tell them our real name. Hurry up."
:"Obeyed, my lady."
They finally managed to convince the head of the caravan to join their trade caravan. It wasn't long before the sound of fast hooves could be heard, kicking up dust on their way. After the guards finished inspecting the convoy, a man's loud voice broke the silence.
:"Stop! Nobody move!"
And that was the exact moment that panic sent shivers down y/n's spine. her eyes widened. This was the voice of Tiberias who had come here with his knights. There could not have been a worse disaster.
:"What happened, Lord Tiberias?! It's usually very rare to see you among the caravans!" The leader of the caravan stated with an almost mocking and sweet tone.
:"We're looking for a lady! She's tall and fair-faced. With dark, long curly hair. Have you seen such a person here? Has she asked you for help? If so, hand her over to us, or I'll confiscate this caravan and get you all in prison."
His strong words and threats caused a wave of protest and panic among the people who were there. Y/n would never let innocent people be sacrificed for her. There, she gathered all her courage and surrendered to God's will. she suddenly came forward from the crowd and shouted...
:"Wait!..." y/n took off her veil and black turban. For a few moments, breaths caught in their chests and all the knights stared at their king's lover in surprise.
..
Finally accompanied by Tiberias and his knights, Y/n arrived at the entrance gate of the palace. That palace was like a hell that had no escape and the owner of such a beautiful hell was a masked ghost whose blood stained eyes were visible under the mask.
Soldiers and knights were lined up on either side of Baldwin, all the templars, lord Lusignan and some nobles were also there. Was this a greeting? Or a trial?
:"my lord. We found Lady y/n trying to escape from Damascus Gate. This was her third failed attempt to escape."
Baldwin IV didn't seem to pay attention to what Tiberias was saying and the whole time he was staring at y/n who was now helplessly looking down at the ground.
:"Didn't I tell you some time ago that I won't let you go?"
:"My love for you was undeniable. But you abused my love and chose selfishness. I will never stay here as a hostage. I won't stay where I don't belong."
Everyone present witnessed their conversation when suddenly y/n turned away from the leper king and looked towards the exit gate. ready to leave for good.
:"STAY THERE!" His loud and scary voice made the heart beat in everyone's chest. In an unexpected move, he took Tiberias's sword with his good right hand. Everyone there looked in horror at the king approaching y/n and now standing in front of her. No one dared to speak.
:"If you take one more step..." The hand that was holding the sword started shaking. he wished this wasn't the last resort.
Unfortunately, y/n moved forward without listening to him. A tear fell from her eye at the last moment...
That was the moment...
y/n's scream echoed there. No thoughts, no words. just pain the pain. just pain.
There was nothing she could do but helplessly hold her hand to her stomach to stop the warm, red liquid from running down her long dress. The king's sword was stained with blood...
Her knees was getting weaker by the minute. Y/n was hugged by baldwin iv before she fell to the ground. The king, who was now out of his instincts, just realized what a disaster he had caused. He had sent his lover to d*eath.
:"No...n...no! I..I didn't mean to...I was wrong...forgive me. Please...forgive me my y/n. My beautiful white rose, Forgive me..." he sobbed nonstop and begged like a little boy.
:"Still... I still love you... poor you... poor me..."
:" Y/N!!"....

Hey hey! Okay so youre my newest followed writeblr, and i absolutely followed because of a post where you were talking about a WIP, i think you called it teardrops? Anyways, it tore my damn heart out and i DESPERATELY wanna hear more if you wanna talk about it?
FIRSTLY that makes me very very soft thank you so much for following cuz of that story its v special to me (despite talking about a thing i hate personally—the ocean LMAO)
but in this i also realized that i never actually talked about what the plot of teardrops is.... so this is as good an excuse as any.
SO, the full title of this wip is called teardrops of the gods.
it takes place in my big ol shared wip world in this country (doesn't have a name yet tho) & in the western sea <- that way lol
and the plot is as follows:
Ancient Sea Glass or Teardrops of the Gods are relics believed to have been shed by The Great Kraken, essentially the creator of the world in this island's mythos. Its body was split apart to create the land that people stand on and the sea glass is rumored to be the last remnants left of its ancient power. Pirates and adventurers have searched for the sea glass for ages because of its supernatural properties:
(1) If you take out your eye and replace it with sea glass, it allows you to control the whims of other's minds and bodies like puppets.
(2) If you wear as a ring on your hand you can control water and the ocean around you. Cities will crumble under your might.
(3) If you collect 5 and leave them under the light of The Wolf Moon, they will light the way to an underwater city which holds The Kraken's Heart and those who consume it gain immortality.
The location of teardrops themselves is a mystery. Few have solved the legendary riddle that conceals their location:
In the nail of the ocean under the sea Guided by the moon's light Beneath its flesh this bounty lies For those whose eyes are bright Should you manage to sneak beneath And its plunder yours in sight Beware your temples, oh brave sailor Lest you fall down and die
However... there has been one man and his crew that have managed it; the crew of the nefarious and bloodthirsty Captain Ghost Eye; and the key to how he did it lay within his son and our main character QUILL, who he abandoned at 14 to die amid the desert regions of a foreign land unknown. And unbeknownst to Ghost Eye, Quill survived, making it to (insert country here) and laying low, mingling with locals such as Cinnamon (Cinn) and Mz.
.... But the call of the sea is strong. And as Ghost Eye begins plundering down the coast, looking for him, Quill knows that he has to face his destiny.
so as a shorter summary with more details about Quill beloved (with a bit of spoilers):
Quill is a half-merman son of a Daughter of the Sea (a mermaid goddess and daughter of The Great Kraken) and the most fearsome pirate lord on the sea, Ghost Eye. the young goddess was captured and brutalized until she finally produced a child and perished giving birth to him. Quill was then raised by the pirate lord in squalor until at 14 they finally discovered the answer to the sea glass riddle and he was thrown overboard to retrieve the sea glass, or die. The fact that he's part merman is actually integral as to how he was able to snag just One sea glass, however, he had to return to the surface before he could regain more.
At the time, Ghost Eye only desired one sea glass to put in his eye, so he then marooned Quill to die in a desert (no access to water would kill him faster than a normal human) but he was saved when he was found by a caravan and he managed to make his way all the way up to coast where the story starts. unfortunately i haven't named the town or country yet Rip BUT we move. his nature makes him long for the call of the sea but he knows if his father learns that he is alive, he’ll either capture him again or try to kill him, so he ignores his nature for years… at least until finally word of his father's tearing down towns reaches his ears and quill realizes he can't hide anymore.

The Life of The Prophet Muhammad(pbuh): His Youth, Trade Life, His marriage to Hazrat Khadijah
The Prophet goes to Damascus with his uncle
The Master of the Universe (PBUH) had reached twelve years of age.
He possessed a unique kind of body and face among his friends. His face would emit gleaming light to his surroundings and his heart was always filled with peace.
In the meantime, Abu Talib, who was sheltering our Holy Prophet (PBUH), had great difficulty getting by. For this reason, he felt obliged to get involved in trade/commerce. He decided to go to Damascus that year by joining the caravan that the Quraysh had arranged for the purpose of trade.
Preparations for the journey were being made and they took place right before our Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) eyes. Consequently, this uncle, whom he loved so much, was going to be separated from him for some period of time. However, how was he going endure this? Years ago, he had lost both his honorable father and saintly mother at the end of two journeys. Now, his guardian, Abu Talib, was going to set off on a journey and be separated from him for days. How was his gentle and delicate soul going to bear this separation?
Like Abu Talib, the members of the household were also afraid that something would befall upon the Master of the Universe (PBUH), and for that reason, they did not want him to embark on this journey. However, our Holy Prophet (PBUH) wholeheartedly wanted to go with his uncle. He was left with no choice but to open up to his uncle after having been sad for days. He could not help speaking to his uncle in the following manner with a longing and sad tone:
“My Dear Uncle! Where and with whom are you leaving me? I neither have my mother nor my father here with me.”
Our Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) teardrops decorated these words like a flower. Even the most hardened of hearts, let alone Abu Talib, who wholeheartedly loved his nephew, would be unable bear the Master of the Universe’s sorrow. Abu Talib immediately changed his mind upon hearing these expressions that had inflamed his feelings of compassion.
The Master of the Universe (PBUH) was able to go with his uncle; thus, his heart was filled with happiness after this decision had been made. The preparations were complete and he joined the caravan together with his uncle.
The caravan reached Busra by passing through deserts and stopped there for a rest. Busra was a town with plenty of water and gardens between Damascus and Jerusalem.
Bahira’s Observation and Evaluation
There was a priest by the name of Bahira who lived in a small monastery that was close to the market of Busra. At that time, this priest was a reputable scholar among Christians. There was a book in the monastery and those who worshipped at that monastery and read from that book would become the most knowledgeable of Christians. Until that time, every priest had benefited from this book.
The Qurayshi procession of trade lodged in close proximity to this priest’s monastery as they had done every year. What was strange was that Bahira, who had not interacted with anyone from the procession in the past years, was now showing an unexpected interest in the procession and had arranged a feast for them.
Why had this feast and attention been given?
This was the question that got the procession thinking.
The Wise Bahira had witnessed some peculiarities in the procession that he had not seen before. While he was looking at the Qurayshi procession, he had noticed a cloud shading the Master of all Masters (PBUH). When the procession came and lodged underneath a tree, he observed the same cloud shading the tree and the tree’s branches bending before the Radiant Child to provide shade for him.
Bahira, who had seen these peculiarities, wanted to invite them for a meal. He sent the Meccans the following notice:
“Oh Qurayshis! I prepared a meal for you. I want all of you: the elderly, the young, the free, and the enslaved to come”.
The Qurayshi merchants noticed Bahira’s unusual attitude. They wondered what the reason was and asked, “Oh Bahira, by God, your mood is different today. We stop by you each time we come. You have never done something like this for us before. What is the matter?“
Bahira did not disclose his secret and made do with this answer:
“Yes, you are right, but after all, you are my guests. For that reason, I wanted to host and have you eat. Please come and help yourselves!”
They accepted the invitation and sat at the dinner table.
However, there was an individual from the procession who was absent. Bahira was looking for the Master of the Universe (PBUH). Since he was the youngest, the Radiant Child had been charged with the duty of keeping an eye on the procession’s belongings; thus, he was sitting by the tree.
Bahira was busy with eying everyone at the dinner table from head to toe. However, none of them had the disposition of the Radiant Child that he was looking for. He asked, “Is there anyone who has not come to the meal? Is there someone who has been left behind?”
They answered, “No, Bahira, there is no one who has accepted your invitation and then did not come. Only a child was left behind to wait on our belongings.”
Bahira, who had examined the Holy Books and learned the characteristics and signs of the last Prophet from them, insisted that he come as well.
The Qurayshi merchants could not refuse Bahira’s persistent request; so, they went and brought the Master of the Universe (PBUH).
While the Master of the Universe (PBUH) was busy eating his meal at the table, Bahira’s entire attention and amazement was on him. He was eying his every move and condition.
Bahira had found what he was looking for and had reached his goal. The Radiant Child’s behavior and every action perfectly matched the written descriptions in the book next to him.
The meal was finished and while everyone was dispersing from the table, Bahira leaned down to the Master of the Universe’s (PBUH) ear and said, “Look, young man. I want you to answer the questions that I am going to ask you about Lat and Uzza.”
There was an expression of discomfort and hate in the Radiant Child’s eyes, “Please do not want anything from me on behalf of Lat and Uzza. By God, there is nothing that I hate more than them”.
Bahira retracted his first request. “In that case, Answer the questions I am going to ask you for the sake of Allah”.
Our Holy Prophet (PBUH) replied “Ask whatever you wish”.
Bahira was bewildered by all the answers that he received to his questions because they exactly matched everything that he knew about the Last Prophet.
Lastly, he looked at the Master of the Universe’s back and saw the seal of Prophethood.
Bahira’s conviction was now certain and without doubt: This youth was the long-awaited Last Prophet (PBUH).
Bahira and Abu Talib Face-to-Face
After his recognition, Bahira went to our Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) uncle, Abu Talib. The following conversation took place between the two:
“What relation do you have to this child?”
“He is my son”
“No, he is not your son because this child’s father is not supposed to be living.”
“Yes, you are correct. He is my nephew, not my biological son”.
“Well, what happened to his father?
“He passed away while this child’s mother was pregnant.”
“Yes, you have told the truth.”
Everything was now evident and definite for Bahira.
Finally, Bahira gave the following advice to our Holy Prophet’s uncle (PBUH), which showed that he was a man who thought and spoke rightfully:
“Immediately take your nephew back to your homeland. Protect him from the jealous Jews. By God, if the Jews see this child and notice what I have noticed, then they will try to inflict harm upon him because your nephew is going to attain a great reputation and glory in the future. Do not stay here any more. Be sure to take him back immediately.”
Upon hearing this advice, Abu Talib sold his goods there and returned to Mecca together with his glorious nephew.
Like Bahira, the monk, many Christian and Jewish scholars had seen the attributes of the Messenger of Allah in their books and confessed the truth by saying, “Yes, the attributes of Muhammad al-Arabi (pbuh) are written in our books.” Despite this confession, many of them were deprived of being honored by Islam.
Among those who reached that unique bliss are the following people:
Abdullah Ibn Salam, Wahb Ibn Munabbih, Abi Yasir, Shamul, Asid and Sa’laba b. Saya, Ibn Bunyamin, Mukhayriq, Kabu’l-Ahbar, Daghatir, Ibn Natur, Jarud…
The Quran mentions those righteous scholars of the People of the Book in the following verses:
“…They are not arrogant. And when they listen to the revelation received by the Messenger, thou wilt see their eyes overflowing with tears, for they recognize the truth: they pray: "Our Lord! we believe; write us down among the witnesses..”

One thing I can't stop daydreaming about is buying a small camper caravan. Not a teardrop trailer but one "size" up, one that you can stand up in and one that has a galley inside. It would make short domestic leisure trips affordable for me without having to stay in motels or hostels (expensive) or sleep in a tent (terrible). And I could lease it out for some extra income (realistically that would maybe cover the traffic insurance) when I'm not using it. I could buy a really old, shitty, water damaged one for like €500 and renovate it as a project. But I just don't have money right now.

How did everybody react when you suddenly disappeared without a trace one day, Aym?
"I may be able to offer you this."
A mysterious voice offers you assistance in the form of a transcript...
Baal ran. He ran faster than he could have in his life when he saw what happened. He scarcely scraped a glimpse of the two before two became one, but both disappeared. The tall purple figure and his brother, both gone in an instant. “Mom! Mom!” He cried on his way to the caravan his mother resided in, all too ignorant to what had transpired not five minutes before. “Mom! Aym’s gone! He’s gone!” Screaming. The young kit’s voice was getting hoarse from his crying. He had managed to trip and fall on his way back to his mother’s caravan, muddying his clothes. The clothes that his brother had made for him as a birthday present not too long ago. It wasn’t before long that Baal had made his way back to the caravan, in which his mother looked worried sick about his current state. “My kit, whatever is the matter? Your clothes are muddied and your voice is gruff.” Baal couldn’t keep his composure anymore, his unrelenting guilt finally taking hold of him as he explained what happened. “It’s my fault, it’s all my fault! I left him for five minutes… and…” He had contemplated for a few seconds, his mother growing more worried by the second about what her son was saying. “Aym… Aym’s gone… He’s gone and it’s my fault…” Forneus had attempted to comfort the crying kit, holding a teardrop or two of her own. “Hearts beat and hearts break… Worry not my son, you are not to blame.” “I yearn for his smiling face, held by kindly paws…”

Khutorax checked everything once again: the main mountain hall had most of the hoard moved out, replaced by a table, chairs and cutlery of polished ice, the food, a wide variety of meat and beverage, from fine wines to hardy mead given to him by a passing viking tribe, stored in caverns coated with ice magic, crystals of varying colors and sizes hanging from the ceiling like teardrops, their multicolored light coating the room with a rainbow sheen, almost like a dream.
Perfect.
If that adventuring party really was all that he heard the villagers say, then Khutorax was about to become the best host they had ever seen.
He sighed, looking at his reflection, taking a moment to admire the distortion that the transparent sheen gave to his snout, the light blue feathers and silver-white scales, before adjusting himself.
Now, to look presentable.
For a long time, hehought of appearing as his true form, make his debut of Khutorax of the Indigo Ice, but then the sane part of his brain told him that not many were a costumed to a serpentine, feathered dragon with ice powers like the villagers of the mountain were, that and he didn’t want to be known as a terrifying tyrant of ancient knowledge, like Grythanix, that old grouch.
No, he was a host, a diplomat, a caretaker.
And so, he had to look the part.
Slowly, with the help of magic and the mirror’s reflection, he wove magic like one would weave a song. Scales took form of clothes, feathers of hair, a long, beak-like snout to an elegant face of a young man of fair birth. He kept his colors, the blue of his feathers now shining even more in the form of hair, the white of his scales smoothing over silken fabric, lilac eyes slitted and dangerous, but elegant nonetheless.
He heard the sound of armor, of murmurs and whispers. Ah, just in time.
He rushes back to the main hall with a skip in his step. It takes some time, the hall is too big without his elongated body, but he does manage to compose himself and wait for his guests before they fully see him.
Huh, interesting.
It’s a group of four. A tall man, broad-shouldered and grouchy, a metal axe, worn from fighting and bloodshed, in hand. Two women, one of elven origin, judging from her pointed ears and cat-like eyes, and a hunter, a dire wolf at her side. Finally, the only one who seemed to be actually dressed for a party, androgynous features accentuated by elegant leather armor, a mask at their face and a violin at their back.
Was this supposed to be a costume party?
“Welcome, adventurers! I do hope the journey was a fair one.”
All but the masked one startle, weapons and magic at the ready. The dire wolf growls, and Khutorax wishes he accounted for pets when designing the table.
“Who are you? Where is the dragon?!” the man shouts, and by the Dragon Lords does the sound grit his ears.
Well, aren’t they rude.
He is a good host, however, and so he keeps his smile. He charged most his elementals to the front of the lair, to make sure his guests were properly escorted without getting lost, have they somehow not seen them? Maybe he didn’t do a good job signaling the halls, they were getting a bit dangerous with all those traps he had yet to deactivate.
Maybe that was why they looked a bit roughed up.
Now that wouldn’t do.
“Not to worry, friends.” Khutorax says, using his magic to propagate the sound, “There must have been some misunderstanding between us. Come! Rest a little, let us mend your clothes and spirits. Why, a party is no good when the mood is soured.”
The party looks at each other, apprehensive, and Khutorax is suddenly grateful that he does not sweat, that and that this form does not exhale mist when nervous as he usually does. Oh, has he messed this up somehow.
The Dragon Lords seem to take pity on him, as the hunter clears her throat, petting her wolf’s head in order to calm him down.
“I’m sorry…did you say party?”
Khutorax’s grin widens.
“But of course! I’ve heard of your endeavors! An adventuring caravan, bringing cheer across the land! An adventuring party. Why, I would not be a good host had I not waited for your arrival, yes?”
Again, silence, but this time it was more contemplative. The masked musician stepped forward, collected and smooth, like they were dancing on air. They step between their party and the table, curving their body in a bow.
“I apologize, for there seems to have been a miscommunication between us.” They say, voice smooth, rough and deep, “We apologize for our rude entrance upon your home, and our lack of preparation when milord, in your generosity, came all this way to prepare such a reception.”
Oh.
Oh my.
Khutorax cleans his throat.
“No! No, not at all.” He stutters, “Like I have said before, let us give you a moment of respite and put this confusion behind us. You are my guests, and surely the people of the mountains would be more than happy to participate in festivities.”
This seems to be the right choice of words, as the adventurers finally settle, allowing themselves to be escorted by the elementals as the hunter, with the argument of her dire wolf companion, left the lair to call the people of the mountains.
Well, that was an embarrassment avoided.
“Once again, I must thank milord for their good will.” The deep soprano of the musician’s voice shook him out of his stupor.
Khutorax allows himself a soft billow of mist in surprise, just this once.
“Think nothing of it. This dragon has yet to learn of the ways of men. This was bound to happen.” He opts to say.
He hears a chuckle from behind the smooth white mask.
“May this bard be bold enough to teach what they know, then.”
Oh, that was not fair.
Khutorax smiles, full of teeth and lilac eyes glistening, as he focuses fully on the bard.
“Well then, may this dragon know the name of his teacher?”
He can hear them smirk, the bastard.
“Only if one may know the name of their student.”
Khutorax then extends a hand, allowing silk gloves to return to scales and nails to claws.
“I am Khutorax of the Indigo Ice.” He purrs, “You may, dear teacher, call me Khutorax.”
“Khutorax…” they purr as well, almost as if tasting his name in their tongue.
Gloved hands then grasp his, and Khutorax sees the hint of rough lips upon his scales.
“You may then, dear student, call me Ruth.”
A dragon misinterprets a “party” of adventurers who set out to challenge it as a celebration and as such, went all out with the festivities for their arrival.
