Memories: When Sridevi Made Supriya Pathak Talk Like Hansa On A Plane

News

Legendary actress Sridevi’s sudden demise has shocked the world. She may not be with us anymore. However, her memories are still fresh in our minds. Recently, Khichdi actress Supriya Pathak has shared an incident with us involving MOM actress Seidevi.

Khichdi, a popular show has returned to Indian television once again. If you are following the mad family of Parekh’s this season then you may be aware of the fact that they have given a tribute to Sridevi last weekend. Shooting of the episode has been done on November, 2017. During the time, Sridevi has been alive.

JD Majethia is the producer of the show Khichdi and he is also an integral part of the show. JD plays the character of Himanshu in the show. In the beginning, the team has decided not to air the portion of the shoot where name of Sridevi has been mentioned. Later on, they have thought that it is not derogatory at all. Instead, it can be looked as a tribute to the late actress. Majethia has said and we quote “The episode had an interesting gag involving Sridevi. When she passed away in February, we were reluctant to air that part. However, we then felt that there was nothing derogatory about it and we were referring to her in a humour sequence, which actually will be our tribute to the legendary actress. She had once told us that she loved the first season of our show”

Supriya Pathak aka Hansha has shared an interesting story on the occasion. She has said, “Around three years ago, I met her on a flight and she literally made me talk like Hansa. It was embarrassing for a moment, but that just showed how much she loved the characters”

(To start, it bears mentioning that a lot of these people were from my personal village, “The Village Hidden in Plain Sight.” At a certain point in their training, they believed they couldn’t progress without giving up something substantial. Usually, it was a body part.

Also, the further down the list you go, the greater the possibility that not all of these characters are mine. I had to delete at least one entry that belonged to my friend and there might very well be more.

Sachio Morisaka

Nicknames: Gender: Male Age: 14 Hair: Black, hangs down between his shoulderblades, mostly done in a ponytail. Eyes: Crystaline blue when they're visible. Date of Birth: July 7th Personality: Very anti-social, cold, and caustic, but very loyal to his friends. Dislikes: Fingernails, negative people, the color yellow Fears: Ghosts   Favorite Food: Rice balls with chicken inside, cream cakes, ginger ale Favorite color: Green Past: In the days after the 9 Tailed Fox had been sealed, a sort of "vulpine witch hunt" prevailed, people killing foxes on sight. It died down, but not before taking the lives of both Minoru's parents when he was just a toddler. His adopted mother/grandmother found him wandering on the outskirts of the village and took him in. Growing up with only a few vague memories and no knowledge of what he is, he lives only to protect and serve his home.

Ryuken Tsuji Nicknames: The Hound, Ryu (given by Chinatsu) Village: Plain Sight Age: 26 Personality: Laid back, sarcastic, picks on his students but cares about them quite a bit. Date of Birth: April 19 Hair: Brown and rough, doesn't shave perfectly Eyes: Honeysuckle brown Likes: Pear blossoms, the smell of sake (not the taste), hot baths, smokes on special occasions. Dislikes: Arrogance, cats, women who are obsessed with their cats, overdependance Fears: Loss, change Favorite Food: Anything spicy Favorite color: Black Past: Years ago, when he was a genin, he loved and was loved in return by a girl named Chinatsu. They were firm friends right through training and, had things worked out differently, would have gotten married. But at age 17 she was killed on what should have been a routine mission. No one, maybe not even Ryuokouen, fully understands just how much he misses her. For her he cut the muscles in his own left arm, rendering it useless.

Kirin Nicknames: The Golden One Village: None Age: 17 Personality: Sly, smooth, quite the flirt. Date of Birth: May 10 Hair: Long and gold, falls over his right eye. Eyes: Gold Likes: The stars, his own abilities, fireflies Dislikes: Farmers with good aim, barbed arrows, mold, ticks Fears: Death Favorite food: Green tea cake, pheasant, eggs Favorite color: White Description: Leaving his parents when he was young, Kirin is a kitsune who's true to his race. He loves to lay tricks for people entering the forest (young genin are a favorite target.) Though he has the charm to make village girls swoon, he can and frequently does change his gender, becoming a pretty young girl in order to steal from naive young farm boys with more chickens then common sense. In spite of all his quirks, he loves Minoru with a fierce passion, and would gladly give his life to protect him.

Chinatsu Ikeda Nicknames: Chi (given by Ryukuen) Village: Plain Sight Age: 17 when she died Personality: Outgoing, sweet, playful Date of Birth: December 11 Hair: Short and brown. Has a small string of blue beads tied in. Eyes: Lavender Likes: Cinnamon, thunderstorms in the summer, dancing Dislikes: Selfishness, dogs that drool, two-faced people Fears: Needles Favorite food: Pancakes, smoked ham Favorite color: Orange Past: Chinatsu used to be best friends with Ryuken when they were young, and their friendship blossomed as they grew up. She was Chi to him and he was Ryu to her. On a mission to stop a small band of rogue ninjas, what should have been an easy job, she was fatally wounded in the stomach. She died three days later without ever waking up.

Yurei Zenwara Nicknames: None Village: Plain Sight when he was born, will secretly do mercenary work for any village that seeks his services. Age: 19 Personality: Colder than ice. He only lives to do his missions and cares for nothing. Date of Birth: January 14 Hair: White and extremely long Eyes: Pale, pale yellow Likes: His chains Dislikes: The sound of cicadas Fears: Nothing Favorite Food: Ginger tea Favorite color: None Past: When he was a genin, Yurei was actually very sweet. He was dedicated to the ninja arts and equally so to his teacher, something that turned to love in time. But for his gesei no yoru, he underwent a specific, highly secretive training techinquie that involved sealing away his emotions. The chains that hang around his wrists, neck, and ankles are symbolic of that, as well as being effective weapons.    

Ika Katsuyuki Nicknames: None Village: Sound Age: 16 Personality: Arrogant and rude Date of Birth: June 29 Hair: Very dark blue, with two long strands Eyes: Dark green Likes: Hot baths, falling snow, firelight Dislikes: People and the things that they do, when her name is made fun of Favorite food: Jelly on fresh bread, roast fish Favorite color: Red Past: Ika had a very nice childhood, choosing her path as one of Orochimaru's followers on her own. Though she admires his power and charisma, she could never get into his inner circle. That, plus the fact that she had an unrequited crush on Kabuto, helped to make her an even more bitter person than she already was. How she came to find love with someone like Washi is a mystery for the ages. But love him she does.

Shi Hiromi Nicknames: None Village: Sound Age: 14 Personality: Loyal to the death, loving, but a survivor through and through Date of Birth: August 1 Hair: Short purple/gray/blue Eyes: Dark blue Likes: The wind, daffodils, the thrill of victory Dislikes: When people insult her injury without being able to challenge her properly, pickled plums Favorite food: Anything with strawberry in it Favorite color: Teal Past: Shi was born in the Village Hidden in the Blood at the worst possible time, and lived a happy life until age three. That year the village was attacked. She sustained many injuries, but none more life-altering than the gash across her throat that nearly took her life. Without the ability to speak, she grew up on the streets into a fierce little fighter. It was this (and the fact that she looks like a beautiful boy) that drove Orochimaru to take her into the Sound Village. It was there that she met Zaku. The love Shi found with him would keep him by her side and fill her life with light, right until the end of both their days.

Very quick blurb about Team Hansha interacting with Team 7. I broke canon bad, because why is this genin team from Kumo training in Konoha? *shrugs* For funsies, I guess. But I woke up this morning from some crazy dreams and hypnagogic me (Hansha) was giving Kakashi an earful about his sullenness. Which doesn't help anything, but she's got good intentions. Then shenanigans ensued.

Writing's not my strong suit, so apologies if it reads a little funky. I originally intended just to get the gist of it jotted down, then sit down and make a comic out of it later, but who knows when I'll get around to doing that. 😅 And even though they were made back in 2016-ish, I still haven't named Hansha's students sooooo, G (girl), B1 (boy 1) and B2 (boy 2) lol sorryyyy. I'll eventually sit down and really think about names for them. Edit: They have names now!

At the memorial stone,

Kakashi: I've made so many mistakes....

Hansha: You were a KID back then, Kakashi! Of course you made mistakes, anyone would have in your situation! You've got to stop being so hard on yourself. I- I'm sorry if I'm overstepping, but you can't keep ruminating and self-flagellating over things that happened a decade ago... I just... *grabs his hand and gives it a squeeze* I want you to be happy. And I mean really happy, not little glimmers of it overshadowed by... whatever this is.

*letting her statement linger in the air for effect, she goes to kiss him on the cheek, but he wasn't sure of what she was doing, so he instinctively turned his head out of curiosity and she winds up kissing him on the mouth, over his mask. She jerks back, blushing, he looks at her, wide-eyed, a faint blush on his cheek* Hansha: I'm... sorry! *she turns quickly and runs away*

Later....

Hansha is meeting with her students, they're chastising her for being late.

Kinbena: You should never keep a ninja waiting! *stomps her foot and huffs*

*Hansha barks out a quick laugh as Kakashi makes his way towards them, reading his book.* HA! Hardly! I can't even get you guys to scrub toilets properly! You don't have what it takes to be ninja yet!! Sekkachi: Oh yeah??? While we were waiting for YOU, we've been practicing! WATCH THIS! *the three proceed to start up some choreographed moves, missing each other and failing to look anything remotely like fighting*

*Hansha's laughing hysterically and Kakashi stops to watch, amused*

Hansha: *WHEEZE!* WHAT WAS THAT?????

*the kids stop, mid-moves and are panting heavily

Kakashi comes and sits next to her, she avoids looking him in the eye*

Sekkachi: Yeah!! Too much for ya, huh!!

*Hansha starts chuckling, her shoulders shaking. She bows her head forward and pinches the bridge of her nose in a bad attempt to suppress hysterics again*

Hansha: It's... too much, alright... *she shakes her head and wipes tears from the corners of her eyes*

Sekkachi: So you're ready to take us on a real mission, right???

Hansha: And you'll do what to the enemy?? DANCE AT THEM?? Seriously, what WAS THAT???

Kinbena: See, I told you she wouldn't take us seriously!

Sekkachi: Shut-up, giraffe-girl!

*the two begin bickering, the third student, Odayaka is [idk doing his typical thing. Eating? Meditating? Not sure what his thing is yet] meditating.

Hansha turns toward Kakashi, still not looking him directly in the eye, and gestures at them.*

Hansha: I can't do a thing with them. They're so stubborn!

Kakashi: Like someone else I know.

*she smirks and glances at him from the corner of her eye*

Hansha: Tell me your students aren't this exhausting.

Kakashi: Actually...

*as if summoned on cue, his trio appears, and wind up joining in on Team Hansha's ruckus, both sensei sigh defeatedly.

They watch them go at it for a while, then Hansha starts speaking reflectively.*

Hansha: It really is a shame...

Kakashi: What is?

Hansha: That our system is the way it is... That we have to take these children and turn them into soldiers. For what purpose? For the next war? To traumatize them as our generation and each generation before has been? I want so much better for them, for their children, and theirs...

Kakashi: And what of your own children?

*Hansha pauses, then nods her chin at the squabbling genin*

Hansha: Those are my children.

*Kakashi shakes his head, thinking that she's being idealistic. She's got a good heart, but that's not the type of mindset for a shinobi in this world. It's endearing, but he knows all too well that her thinking is dangerous. She's training soldiers. Not raising children. Maybe one day there will be room for such lofty ideals, but that's not the reality they live in. He's just about to say this when Sekkachi blurts out, “Fine! Why don't you show us how it's done! You two spar each other!!”

Kakashi and Hansha exchange glances, and Hansha blushes a little at making eye contact. Hansha sighs and stands up, saying, "It takes a village..." So they oblige and stand facing each other some distance apart.*

Kakashi (taunting her): I won't even use my sharingan.

Hansha (taunting back): Aw, you'll handicap yourself for me? That's so sweet! *she disappears and reappears behind him, tapping him on his upper back and whispering in his ear* Tag, you're it! *she disappears again, giggling

The two play cat and mouse for a while, the girls gushing and giggling as they ship the pair, Sasuke's bored, Naruto and Sekkachi are hyped like it's a real fight

Kakashi catches her and grabs her in his arms, saying “Got you <3” Hansha cocked an eyebrow, quickly pecked him on the lips over his mask again, saying, “Think again!” and poofs her shadow clone, eliciting squeals of delight from the girls and gagging faces from the boys*

Team 7 visits Kumo in this headcanon and Team Hansha gets paired up with them for a local mission. Afterwards, Kakashi and Hansha meet up at a bar and while he didn't consider it a date, she's ecstatic that she didn't get stood up. She had noticed he reads his book a lot and assumes him to be a bookworm in general so she gives him a copy of her favorite book before Team 7 departs to return to Konoha.

The running gag for her is she's infamous for calling out of missions to go on dates that she always gets stood up on. Forbid anyone make fun of her for it because they will catch hands.. And feet.
