Ahah! Thank you! This was such a fun story to write. @kleenexwoman is referring to Never Piss Off a Telepath; Or How Logan Opened His Mouth and Said a Stupid Thing where Logan said something REALLY stupid to Emma after he wrecked something important to her, and she tweaked his brain to think he was pregnant, and because she's such a powerful badass, when Hank ran tests on him, it showed up as him being pregnant. The story is full of horrendous pregnancy cravings and hormonal emotional Logan.

Here's the scene:

The next morning, Kurt woke up in bed, cuddled up to Logan’s pillow. He blinked and rubbed his eyes and couldn’t find his lover anywhere in the room. He listened for the sound of morning sickness that had greeted him the previous morning, but he was quite alone. He sat up and looked around. Something seemed...off...then he realized that the bedroom was spotless. There were no clothes on the floor, no empty beer cans or bottles waiting to be thrown away. No cigar smell. In fact, that particular odor didn’t seem to cling to the curtains or sheets the way it normally did.

He climbed out of bed and made it hastily then threw on clothes before stepping into the bathroom to brush his teeth and hair. Even the bathroom was shiny. Kurt poked his head back into the bedroom and noticed that the mini-fridge that Logan kept for his beer was slightly open, so he moved over to it to close it. Before his tail could push the door closed, Kurt saw that the fridge was empty.

“Huh,” he mused to the empty room. That was odd. Logan had just restocked that the other night before all of this pregnancy mess started.

Instead of puzzling over it for long, Kurt just teleported out of the bedroom and popped into the kitchen. When the brimstone cleared, he smelled the aroma of eggs and bacon cooking and...other not-complementary scents.

“Ya know, Elf, we’re gonna have ta talk about you portin’ into a room without fair warning first,” Logan said from stove-side where he was busy flipping the bacon, cheese, sardine and pickle – sweet and dill – omelet until the eggs were nice and fluffy around all the filling. He looked over his shoulder and beamed a playful smile at his lover.

Kurt had been known to eat some strange food combinations in his life. For that matter, so had Logan, but whatever monstrosity that the older mutant was concocting now smelled like nothing that he would ever wish upon his worst enemies. His nose crinkled in disgust, and his tail flicked back and forth until he made it stay still by his leg. He looked around and saw that Logan had even pulled down several herbs that he must have added to the mix – tarragon, basil, cumin, cayenne pepper and Chinese Five Spice, all serving to blend and create a pungent aroma that was reminiscent of the horrors that he remembered creating in chemistry lab.

“Logan, mein Gott...what are you doing? Have you gone insane? That smells horrible. You’re not actually going to eat that, are you?” Kurt complained, wanting to move closer to his lover but terrified that the horrifying stench would cling to his fur all day.

Turning around with the handle gripped in one hand, Logan eased the omelet onto his plate then walked over to the sink, immediately running hot water in the pan, which he scrubbed out and set into the dish rack to dry. He grabbed the sponge and walked back over to the stove to wipe it down then back to the sink. “Of course, I’m gonna eat this. Just woke up hungry for it...and seein’ as how cravings are all a part of pregnancy, I might as well indulge whatever the baby wants.” He looked up at Kurt and kissed him then hugged him tightly.

Kurt’s gaze had followed the shorter man around the kitchen, a bit surprised by Logan’s sudden change in cleaning habits when normally, he’d just leave dishes in the sink until the end of a meal or until he could pawn washing them off on someone else. He hugged Logan back and kissed him, but his eyes fell on the sheer number of beer bottles and cans sitting on the edge of the sink. Empty.

“Logan?” he asked and gestured to them.

Logan turned to look at them and gave Kurt a grin before brushing back an errant lock of black hair from his tanned skin. “What? Ya didn’t think I was gonna keep all those around while I’m pregnant, did ya? I can’t drink, Kurt, and I was hopin’ that...well, with this bein’ our baby an’ all, that you’d be willing to give up drinking during the duration, too. Ya know...emotional support.”

I need a drink to just get through this week, Kurt thought to himself, but he nodded his head. “Of course, mein Lieb. Emotional support. That’s what I’m here for,” he promised and kissed Logan’s forehead. He felt the older man nuzzle against him then nearly bounce back over to the island where his plate waited for him. Kurt watched as Logan buttered two pieces of toast then liberally coated them in plum jelly before shaking a bottle of Tabasco sauce over his omelet, then he carted everything including a glass of milk toward the door leading into the dining room.

“I noticed you got rid of the cigar smell in the bedroom, too, Liebchen,” Kurt mentioned while he tried to decide if he could actually eat anything after watching Logan fix his own breakfast.

“Oh right! I got rid of all my cigars, Elf. Not good ta smoke while I’m pregnant, babe, and I shouldn’t smoke afterward either, so I’m gonna give it up.”

Kurt watched Logan disappear into the other room then sagged against the counter. He wasn’t going to make it to the end of Emma’s week.

Loki is always my favorite character to write about. And considering Loki is half of most of the ships I write it makes sense. But I also really love writing about Tony and Bucky.

(13) favorite writing song/artist/album of the year

I don't have one particular song/artist/album I consistently listen to. And it also depends on the fic. There are some fics of mine, like All I Ask, that are inspired by a specific song (in AIA's case, "All I Ask" by Adele). When I first started writing fanfic, Christina Aguilera was my go-to. Sometimes I write with no background noise, most often my background noise is either Friends or Will & Grace, or some movie I've watched so many times I don't need to actually look at it.

I haven't posted anything new this year (yet) as I was working on my thesis from summer 2020 until May 2021. So a lot of the comments I've received were on works that were a year old or older. I love getting comments on old fics and one particular fave (besides all of YOUR awesome detailed comments, TDWG!) was this one on Stay With Me. I love when readers tell me they don't usually read AUs, or they don't usually read a certain pairing, but they've read something I've written before so they trusted my writing (AAAAH!!). I just really, really enjoy when someone takes a chance on my writing -- and they like it!

You know, I've actually read a lot more fanfic this year than I have the last few. Busy with school didn't leave a lot of time to read anything other than research or textbooks. And when I did have free time, I was usually working on my own fics. I would read a one-shot here and there, but multi-chap fics required time I didn't have. So thankfully I've been able to get back to that this year. And I think one of my fave fics so far has been The End of Games by @ishipanarmada and @shinysherlock. Not only is it FrostIron it's also a fix-it for the shit show that was Avengers: Endgame. It's not completed yet, but I am just loving it so much and I would recommend it to anyone -- not just FrostIron shippers. And another fave so far is the Is this a dagger I see? series by @teadrinkingwolfgirl (wolfsheart on AO3)! Gimme all the Bucky/Loki!

first fic

My first first fic was a Children of the Corn story I wrote when I was 13. I wrote it in pencil. No, you don't understand. We didn't have a personal computer. This was before every single family had a personal computer, so anything I wrote was by hand. I went through a lot of paper. I wrote a lot of fanfic, essentially. All Mary Sues and all before I knew that it was called fanfiction or that other people were out there doing it. No, this story doesn't exist anymore. I think I threw it away a long time ago. The pencil was all smeared anyway.

Now, the first fanfic I wrote as a part of any fanfic community was a Jay/Silent Bob fanfic called "Give Me One Reason." It was a songfic using the Tracy Chapman song. It was the first fanfic that I wrote and posted to a Yahoo Group I was in for this pairing/fandom. No, you can't read it because it's not up anywhere anymore. No, it won't be again.

softest fic

I've got two that I think are my softest fics. Two Turtle Doves, which is a pre-X-Men First Class fic where Charles and Raven are still kids, going into the city with 'their' mom and they go to FAO Schwartz, and Raven is sad that none of the dolls look like her. The real her. Charles does a really sweet thing for her on Christmas morning.

The second is Goodnight, Sweetheart, Goodnight, from @elekdragon's request for a Sam Wilson / 'little Falcon' fic of some sort based on this photo of Anthony Mackie:

fic i’m most proud of

Shit. I really hate this one because I'm proud of them all. I've done a lot of writing in the last two years, and most of them are series now, but I'm really proud of how they're all turning out. I'm playing with many favorite ships instead of any OTP. But I guess if I have to pick one (can I pick more than one?), I'll go with these:

Of everything that stands, the end This is a Tony/Bucky No Powers AU that I wrote for @comfortember 2021, and like most of my stuff, it's just the first of a series.

If it be your pleasure to cross the sleeping green between I never ever in my life thought I'd write a fic where a relationship forms between Scott Summers and Steve Rogers. Not after Bendis' travesty Avengers vs. X-Men (AvX). Just never pictured it happening. Then I thought about it and considered that it could be an interesting pair, but the right story hadn't come along. This is another Comfortember 2021 fic that @scottcyclopssummers gave me the prompt for. I'm very happy with the way it turned out, and uh. Yeah. Totally another series.

Spinning on that dizzy edge (I kissed his face and kissed his head) It's amazing what a potent superpower spite really is. This is a Scott Summers/Tony Stark fic that is actually the second 'chapter' in a series that's still on-going. Born out of wanting to piss someone off who likes to torture Scott Summers in their own fics and has claimed that they supposedly hate Tony Stark, turns out that this is a really fun and sexy and tender ship that I'm having a blast exploring. This fic is LONG. This 'chapter' or part or whatever is over 50k words and had to be broken up into chapters. It's the single longest 'chapter' I've written, and it showed me that I've got the endurance, attention span, and willpower to sit down an write something this long all as a part of one fic.

fic that shows my progress

I could easy be a facetious bitch and say 'all of them', but I won't do that. In reality, I'm going to name Behind Blue Eyes as a fic that shows my progress as a writer because, aside from rp writing, it was my first leap back into writing some m/f sexy times. This is a Loki/Emma Frost fic that takes some interesting twists to it involving Emma's telepathy and Loki's ability to shapeshift. I used to write a lot of m/f erotica that I thought was pretty hot and sexy. This fic exceeds what I used to write by so much.

favorite wip

It's so hard to pick favorites, but I think I'm going to name the whole Hemispheres series. Tony/Loki. What started out as a prompt fic, the prompt being Tony waking up in an alternate reality to discover that he's married to Loki, and what was supposed to ONLY BE A ONE-SHOT, turned into a whole entire series - my first actual series ever - of Tony coming back to his own reality at the end of the first part and deciding that he's too in love with Loki now to just let that other reality be the end of it. He determines he's going to get Loki back in his life, get him out of the Asgardian dungeon cell, and bring him back to Earth based on what he learned from that alternate reality.

So I posted the second installment of a Steve/Loki fic I'd started a while back, and today, for the very first time EVER, I've gotten shitty, rude comments from a Stucky shippers, telling me they hope I get raped and that I should kill myself because no one wants to read Loki/Steve because Loki is a greasy villain. I commented back to all three of their comments and froze each thread. They have a name on there, but they don't seem to have a link back where I can report them?

Advice?

Or should I just bask in finally getting hate comments?
