Another Unfinished unedited story! How about some werewolf batch?
I really wanna finish this one but writer's block :(
Enjoy anyways :)
Tumblr media
Their mission was to retrieve data for the republic. It was so simple.
That is all this was supposed to be, simple and easy, but it isn't … and Hunter has never been more terrified.
Hunter points his blaster in the direction of where he thinks the source of the growl, which echoes throughout the forest, came from. Under his helmet, sweat pools, almost distracting him. He inhales deeply, trying to stay calm for his brothers.
“Tech…You said earlier that there aren't any large predators on this planet, right?” Hunter could barely hear Echo's whispered words through the sound of his heart beating. He could smell his brothers' fear, which irritated him.
“There…Isn't meant to be...Perhaps it is an invasive species." Tech's rambling was interrupted by a howl that pierced the Batches ears, causing Hunter to hiss in pain and momentarily place his hand over his helmet.
"We can take it, whatever it is!" The sudden loud crunch of branches in front of Wrecker quickly extinguished his courage.
Its movements are rapid. Too quick for Hunter or Crosshair to determine its location.
"I can't wait to shoot this thing and get this over with." At Crosshair's words, a large dark blur rushed the lean clone from out of the bushes.
The only sounds loud enough to be heard from a distance were the cracking of plastoid armour and feral growls.

It was thrilling in the worst way to feel the heat of the fire behind me, but that is to be expected when working with the batch.
"Of course Wrecker couldn't help himself." I chuckle to myself while speaking into the comms as I hear Wrecker shout with delight. Hunter sighed loudly in return.
"That is Wrecker for you, always blowing things up." Echo said as he ran next to me towards the gunship the General had lent us, breathing heavily and a hint of pain in his voice.
When I glance over at Echo, I notice he limps lightly. His cybernetics must be hurting him. Once we are on the marauder, I should take a look.
Behind the waiting ship, I huffed as I spot Crosshair sliding down the hill, his precious fire puncher in hand, always a show off.
The regs who helped us in this mission entered the gunship first.
Echo nodded to me in appreciation as I helped him onto the gunship by holding his hand. We waited for the remaining batch members. The sounds of blaster fire coming from where the others had gone, caught our attention.
"Need assistance, Sarge?" I spoke over the comms. My question drew the others' attention, causing them to raise their blasters and prepare to exit the gunship.
"We've got this!" Hearing Wrecker groan in pain after he spoke, made me second guess what he said.
“Ignore him, back up is needed" Hunter panted. I nodded to the others, the regs ran out first towards the others. I put my hand in front of Echo before he ran after them.
As Crosshair reluctantly followed to cover the regs, I spoke, "Take a break Echo, you're in pain."
“I’m fine." Echo tried to fight, but he hissed, holding onto the place between his flesh and cybernetics. He sighed, “Okay I’ll sit this one out." I watched him sit before running to meet up with the others. When I rounded the corner, Hunter, Wrecker and Tech reached us, gradually moving backwards while taking shots at the droids. Taking a chance we ran to the gunship.
Before we all could get onto the ship a reg fell after a droid shot his leg. Anxiety and adrenaline made me run out to help the reg onto the gunship. His brothers grabbed him out of my arms before we took off. The droids behind us continued to shoot at us as the gunship's doors closed.
Before the doors could close completely a bolt hit my back. Hissing in pain I fell to my knees.
Ow...
-
Back on the maurarder, Tech patched up my back, Wrecker and Echo sat next to me.
Wrecker pouted at the fact that needles were involved with his wounds.
Echo also pouted but only because his cybernetics were running down and needed TLC. Which meant Echo was grounded for now. At least he won't be alone.
Hunter and Crosshair walked in after reporting to the general. Hunter noticed the pout on his brother's face and spoke.
"Stop pouting Echo, (Y/N) will be here too" I turned and smiled at the man to my right.
"Yeah Echo, we can have some fun" I wiggled my eyebrows at him in a teasing manner. Making Wrecker chuckle.
"Great…" Echo turned away from me, doing a bad job hiding his smirk.
"You are patched up, I'll start the ship" Tech packed up the medkit and walked towards the cockpit, Laying down my head onto Wrecker's lap and legs on Echo's.
"You hungry?" Wrecker asked, a sweet smile on his face.
"Nah, you?" I asked, and he laughed.
"Always" I groaned as he softly removed my head from his lap to get some food.
I turn my head to look for the other two. Crosshair was cleaning his precious on the bunk across from us. Hunter left at some point, probably in the cockpit with Tech. I felt Echo pet my calf as he looked started to nodd off.
I stare at Cross, waiting for him to notice. Feeling the ship lurch into hyperspace, Crosshair looks up at me noticing I had been staring at him for a while. An extremely annoyed expression appeared on his face. Smiling at him I pat the place next to my head, indicating I want a pillow.
He blinks at me before groaning and getting up. He left his firepuncher on the other bunk, so I sat up waiting for him to get comfortable before lying on his lap.
"You're a brat" Crosshair remarked, putting his hand on my shoulder. I could hear Echo chuckle.
"You love me" I smirked at him. He doesn't reply, nor looks down at me.
A few minutes of calm relaxation were interrupted by the ship's violent exit from hyperspace. Alarms were blaring, making me fall off the boys and bunk.
While Crosshair helped me up, Tech yelled from the cockpit, "brace yourselves!" Not even a split second later the ship crashed. Making Crosshair fall backwards, accidentally pulling me onto him.
After a moment, the shaking stopped. The batch all groan, getting up shakily, helping Crosshair up to his feet.
Echo stood up, hissing in pain. We walked towards the cockpit, rubbing our sore places.
Hunter was helping Tech up, he must've fallen off the pilot's seat due to the crash.
"What… ugh… happened?" Wrecker sat up rubbing his head.
"We crashed" Tech said monotonously.
"We noticed" Crosshair glared at his older brother.
"Where are we?" It didn't take long for Tech to give the all clear for the air on the planet. Opening the hatch we all climbed down onto the soft grass.
This planet was beautiful, lush green grass that smelt sweet, gorgeous blue skies. "This place is pretty" Wrecker spoke. I nodded in agreement with his words.
Tech stood next to us looking down at his datapad, "Ah ha, Found where we are" Looking to Tech, Awaiting him to info dump.
But it didn't come. Looking at the smart man's face, he looks... nervous... "Tech?" He glanced up at me. He coughed to cover up his reaction.
"This is an unnamed planet, but it's mostly known for its sweet smelling grass and long nights with twin moons." Tech spoke, looking at the others noting that they looked nervous now. Hunter snapped out of it quickly.
"How long will it take to fix the ship?" Tech quickly calculated in his mind.
"It'll take 2 weeks" I looked at him, surprised.
"2 weeks?! Our rations will last us a week max! And that is with rationing that we know wrecker wont abide by!" Echo yelled, ... he never yells. It didn't take long for the whole batch to start yelling.
"OI!" I yelled before Crosshair could punch Wrecker. They turned to me, shock on their faces. "We have been in worse situations than this, now we will treat this like any other mission. We can start hunting for food. There are obviously plants and things that eat the plants, so pull your heads outta your asses and let's do this!" The boys reluctantly agreed.
The boys walked off to do their own things. Hunter came up to me and patted my shoulder. "Good job" I smiled at him before he walked off.
-
After a long day of checking through our supplies and planning rations, Echo wasn't far off. We have 1 week and 5 days of ration's, so we will have to hunt to survive the remaining days while the ship is getting fixed.
Laying on Wrecker's bunk for a nap and leaving the boys to do their thing, I never expected to wake up to a loud whining howl outside the ship. Cautiously, I grabbed my blaster, putting it on stun and flicking on the flashlight after noticing it was dark. Walking out to see the unfinished set up, the perimeter sensors weren't turned on and the last one lay next to ... Echo's armour.
I walked to it and noticed he must took it off abruptly. However, even though his blacks were absolutely torn, I relaxed, noticing no blood. A whine coming from behind me made me swing around to look at the rest of the camp.
The others were not to be seen, but some of their armour lay all over the place, leading towards the woods. Another whine, reaching to the front of the ship, noting how something crawled under. Silently I looked under, flashing my flashlight under the ship. A large curled figure unfurled and looked at me with a whine. It's ears became flush against it's head as it tried to make it's self as small as possible.
Its grey fur was matted with chunks missing. He looked skinny, unhealthily so. Looking at the creature's arm, I noticed something that was way too small, familiar, and cybernetic. "Echo?" The creature's ears perked up... is this ... thing Echo?
"Echo, is that you?" Echo seemed to smile as he tried to crawl out from under the ship, wincing at trying to use his human form's cybernetics.
"Oh Echo, are they hurting?" He nodded, licking his bleeding arm. I reached under the ship to help him remove the arm cybernetic. Echo whines as I'm forced to rip out some fur to remove it.
"Oh I know, it's okay, you're doing so well" Echo licks my cheek at my words. I smile at him, even though he appears embarrassed by his animal instincts. Reaching up to rub his cheek, he leaned heavily into my touch. "How did this happen?" Echo sighed. "Okay, we'll talk later," He nodded. I moved backwards, watching Echo crawl out from under the ship, wincing at his whines of pain.
Once he is out I help him remove the lower half of his prosthetics. Looking at Echo, then his legs, I only now realize how much bigger he is than normal. If Tech made prosthetics for this form, he'd be over 8 feet tall. Speaking of Tech.
"Did you see where the others went?"
I sighed as he pointed his nose at the woods where their armour led. "Never easy with you boys huh?" Picking up my blaster I walk towards the woods. Echo growls. Turning back to look at him he growls and shakes his head. "Echo, rest, your arm is still bleeding" He pouts. Sighing at him I kneel back down, patting his head.
"It's okay, I'll be back! I promise." He whines before relenting and lying down.
Standing up and looking towards the woods, I hope the others are as easy as Echo.
-
The armour trail had vanished and I was kneeling to the ground looking at a paw print that was similar to echo's paw, pointing my flashlight up the trail noting a metal object, Tech's goggles.
Picking them up and observing them, covered in dirt and broken at the strap, Tech must be having trouble seeing without them. Hearing a hollow thud quickly followed by a whine from a small clearing in front of me.
Walking into the clearing slowly, watching the large creature rub a paw over its head, its fur resembled the colour of Tech's hair.
"Tech?" The creature turned to me, squinting to get a better look at me. He crouched down on all fours and walked toward me, sniffing the air periodically. Once he got face to face with me, his intelligent eyes widened in recognition.
"Heh, Hey Tech" Scratching his head, watching his eyes close slightly. "Come on, let's get you back to the ship huh?" keeping my hand on his neck, keeping him from running into trees.
Once we arrived, I watched Echo perk up seeing Tech return. Letting him go he walked to sit next to Echo, wrapping his tail around his brother. "2 down, 3 to go" I said turning back into the woods. That was easy...

“The Night is Bleakest Beneath a Full Moon” by TrashSaberCat
“The Night is Bleakest Beneath a Full Moon” by TrashSaberCat (known as @giganonyx here on Tumblr) is  an amazing fic with an awesome werewolf Hunter! Not some fluffy doggo, like many werewolves in the multifandom tend to be, but a real feral beast (heed the warnings! Bad things happen!), albeit not by choice.
Though the plot is centered on Hunter becoming a werewolf, it is not totally Hunter-centered. I loved the solid perspectives of all the characters (Wrecker's being my favourite) having to deal with their brother gone feral and dangerous. Everybody suffers, everybody is conflicted and torn apart, some not only mentally 😱.
Not fantasy!AU, BTW, the werewolves are incorporated into the SW canon quite organically.
Can't wait for the update! 😉

Living in the woods by himself this scary looking hermit is actually a sweetheart. You need help cutting down a tree or build something? He's your man (if you can get past the faintest smell of wet dog).

The Bad Batch is completely out of luck when it comes to raising a child, now they have to raise a shy, nervous, self deprecating, possibly traumatized Loth-Werewolf child while on the run from any threats to their small pack. They come to learn that they don't actually know how to be wolves off the battlefield, and things just keep getting worse for them. Omega has spent her whole life pretending to not be what she is, because to the Kaminoans, she is wrong. And that shit takes a long time to work out. But she doesn't need to be a problem, and it's not like it's that important! She and her brothers have to navigate a galaxy, run by those extremely discriminatory towards their kind and avoid the Empire who begins to hunt them for unknown reasons. The Loth-Clones get unexpected aid from a former Jedi contact, and Omega forms a relationship with a lone wolf, who knows all too well about her troubles.
Generally updates during spooky season.

Growing up a wolf
The Request: Tech for werewolf au? please my heart is broke after this episode and I need this
A\N: This was requested by @persaloodles, I really hope you like it!
Warnings: transformation, mentions of child abuse, body hate, self hate.
Hunter paces around the room, as his brother sits and watches. The two of them had heard that they'll be getting a new Cadet in their barracks, a CT-9903. Hunter and Wrecker have been curious about him, wondering if he’s like them, and defective.
“What do you think he’s going to be like, Hunter?” Wrecker asks, making Hunter turn to him and shrug. “I’m not sure?” Wrecker nervously plays with his hands, picking at his fingernails. “Why do we need another one? We’re fine alone not that I’m not that I’m not excited to meet him, but… what if he doesn’t like us, or me? Hunter sighs softly, walking over and sitting beside his younger brother.
“He’s probably like us, enhanced. We need to give him a warm welcome, alright? And I know he’ll love you” Wrecker smiles and nods, but then he frowns. “You think they hurt him too?” He asks quietly, making Hunter give his own frown. “I wish I could say no, but they probably did.”
Wrecker growls. “That’s not right!! They have no right to hurt us!!” Hunter frowns. “They own us, Wrecker. They can do whatever they want with us.” Suddenly the door slides open, making them jump. They see Nala Se walking in, holding the hand of a smaller Cadet. He has goggles and looks to be just a bit younger than Wrecker. He’s pretty small, but not too much smaller than Hunter.
“Cadet’s, this is CT-9903. He will be your team member from now on.” With that she leaves, leaving the three Cadet’s alone. The new Cadet looks around nervously, making Hunter smile comfortingly as he walks forward. “Hello? What’s your name, I’m Hunter?” He whimpers, and then Hunter hears the door lock. He feels nervous, but then he hears the new Cadet groan, and Wrecker scream-- “Hunter!!!?”
Hunter turns to see the Cadet kneeling on the floor, growing bigger as his clothes rip. Brown fur covers his body as his goggles snap off. Hunter screams, running and grabbing Wrecker, hiding them under one of the bunks. They both hear whimpers and groans, then silence.
They don’t look, but they hear heartbreaking cries, then the sound of the door unlocking and footsteps. Hunter doesn’t look up until they leave, seeing the room empty except for the ripped clothes, datapad and goggles on the floor. He walks over and picks up the goggles and datapad, remembering the cries.
“Do you think the longnecks did that to him?” Wrecker asks quietly, and Hunter nods. “Yeah, and I think we hurt his feelings when we yelled. I don’t think he’s dangerous.” Hunter has a frown on his face, feeling horrible. He clutches the goggles in his hand, hoping the Kaminoans bring the Cadet back so they can properly meet.
xxx
Wrecker and Hunter are both cuddled up to each other, as they lay in Hunter’s bunk. Suddenly the door opens, and they all hear sniffles. Hunter looks up to see the young Cadet walking in, he’s human again and obviously in pain. Hunter immediately jumps up and runs over to him, making the Cadet flinch. “Hey, are you okay?” Hunter asks gently, coming over to him, and looking at the Cadet.
“Hey, we’re sorry for being afraid. You are our brother, and we both want to be close to you, 03.” The Cadet looks up at Hunter, squinting a bit. It makes Hunter chuckle, running over to his bed, he grabs the goggles and runs back.
“Here, let me.” He gently places them on the Cadets face, tying them on. The Cadet then looks up at Hunter. “You aren’t scared of me?” Hunter smiles sadly. “We were at first, but then we realized that you didn’t try to hurt us, not at all.” 03 get’s tears in his eyes, then slams himself into Hunter.
“No one’s ever not been afraid of me before… I’m a monster.” Hunter frowns, hugging him tightly against him. Wrecker comes over as well, hugging 03 and Hunter close. “You aren’t a monster, you’re one of us.” Wrecker reassures him, and Hunter nods. “That’s why your number is CT-9903. Mine is CT-9901 and Wrecker’s is CT-9902. You belong here 03, I promise you this.”
03’s eyes fill with tears, as he nuzzles into his two brothers. “Now I was looking at your datapad, it’s not like a regular datapad?” Hunter asks, making 03 smile widely. “Yeah! I love playing around with technology and fixing things, upgrading things and everything. It helps calm me down when I… when I transform into that.” 03 looks away, but Hunter pulls him into another hug.
“It’s alright. That is part of who you are, and we aren’t afraid of you anymore. Next time you transform, we’ll have a cuddle pile, okay?” 03 nods, smiling and nuzzling into Hunter, then he slams into Wrecker in a hug. Suddenly Wrecker’s eyes lighten up, and he pulls Hunter away from 03.
Hunter and Wrecker whisper to each other, looking at 03 every few seconds. He raises an eyebrow, getting nervous until—”Tech!” 03 freezes when Wrecker calls him that, making him raise an eyebrow. “What?” Hunter chuckles and walks over. “Tech, that’s what your name should be, if you like it of course.” 03, no, Tech tears up.
He slams into Hunter and Wrecker, pulling the two close to him. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” He thanks them over and over again, making the two laugh. “Of course, what are older brother’s for?” Wrecker reassures him, and Tech knows that he’s on the right place with these two. His brothers.
xxx
Tech curls up in his bunk, whimpering and whining as he tugs at the fur on his chest. He had transformed during a training simulation. This was the first time he’d transformed in front of Hunter and Wrecker since the first time two weeks ago, and he couldn’t bear to see them scared of him so he ran.
His ears then flick when he hears the door open, making him whimper. He knows that it’s Hunter and Wrecker, he can smell it. Tech presses his ears back, curling up even more, staring at the wall. But then he feels a hand on his back, making him startle. “Shh, it’s alright, Tech. It’s just me.” Hunter’s voice makes Tech’s eyes widen, and he turns over.
“Hunter?” Hunter nods, crawling into the bunk and cuddling up to Tech. “We owe you a cuddle pile.” Tech can’t believe it, he had thought Hunter was just being nice when he said that. Wrecker then runs over and joins in on the other side of Tech, nuzzling into him.
“You’re so fluffy, Techy!!” Wrecker coos, hugging Tech close. It makes Tech tear up, but he turns over and licks the top of Wrecker’s head. Hunter then starts running a hand through his fur, making Tech hum. “No more hiding from us, alright?” Hunter asks gently, and Tech nods, nuzzling into his brother. “Yeah, you are our Vod’ika now. We don’t care what you look like, alright?” Wrecker adds, and Tech nods again, snuggling both his brothers close.
“Thanks, guys!” Tech licks and nuzzles both their heads, making both Wrecker and Hunter chuckle. “No thanks necessary, Vod’ika.” Hunter kisses Tech’s forehead, as both him and Wrecker cuddle into him again, making sure Tech feels cared for and loved.
xxx
Tech sits in his bunk with Wrecker and Hunter, he’s transformed at the moment. They are getting another Cadet today, their last brother. Hunter thought that if he was in his werewolf, it might be better for the Cadet to get used to him, and Tech agrees wholeheartedly. He knows how scary the transformation looks, so it’s easier if their brother meets him already transformed.
Tech’s ears flick and he smiles. “They’re here.” Hunter nods in agreement, also able to hear them because of his enhanced senses. Only a few seconds later, the door opens and Nala Se walks in, a small, skinny Cadet standing close to her. He’s so skinny, and has grey hair. Tech can see his eyes moving about the room, they of course land on him and immediately widen. “This is your new barracks and squad, CT-9904.”
She leaves, and the Cadet stares at all of them, but especially Tech. Hunter hops out of the bunk, walking over to the Cadet. “Hello, it’s very nice to meet you.” The Cadet looks nervously at Hunter. “I… I’m not feeling well.” He whispers, making Hunter smile sadly. “Nala Se told us that you’re sicker than most Cadets, that’s alright. We’ll take good care of you.” With that, Hunter scoops the Cadet into his arms, holding him close.
The Cadet looks around nervously as Hunter carries him over to the bunk. “This is Wrecker, and the fluffball over here is Tech.” The Cadet looks nervously at Tech. “Will he eat me?” He asks quietly, making Wrecker burst out laughing. “Of course he won’t eat you!! Haha!! He’s your third Ori’Vod now, one of us.” The Cadet’s eyes widen, making Tech give a tiny smile. “I’m Tech, it’s very nice to meet you, 04.”
Hunter looks down at 04. “Tech here is super soft, he is very nice to nap on. Would you like to try it?” He asks softly, already seeing 04’s eyes droop. He looks at Tech, and Tech gives 04 a soft look. “You can lay with me, I can tell you’re tired.” 04 bites his lip, but nods. Hunter smiles and gently hands him to Tech, who snuggles the younger Cadet close.
“We also saw some training holo’s of you, you’re a great shot!!” Wrecker muses, making 04 smile as he snuggles into Tech’s fur. “Yeah, I have the greatest eyesight. That’s my mutation, what’s your’s?” Hunter, Tech and Wrecker all smile. “Mine is that I am stronger than most, which is why I’m so much bigger!!” He says excitedly, making 04 chuckle. “Mine is enhanced senses.” Hunter smiles, and then 04 looks up when Tech nuzzles him with his snout.
“Surprisingly, mine is having a much higher learning rate and intelligence than most.” 04 smiles and nuzzles him back, but then he frowns and looks away. “My defect is that I’m sicker and smaller than most clones, and my grey hair. What’s yours? Or am I the only one defective?”
Hunter shakes his head. “You aren’t. My enhanced senses give me the worst migraines, and I get oversensitive a lot.” 04 nods, then he looks to Wrecker. “I got really bad growing pains when they made me bigger and stronger, I still get them all the time when I have growth spurts, that happens a lot.”
04 nods, then he looks up at Tech, who smiles sadly. “Mine is my eyesight, which is why I wear goggles. I also get bad migraines from all the information in my head.” 04 nods, but then he bites his lip nervously. “What about you being… fluffy?” Tech chuckles softly, as Hunter and Wrecker get sad looks again.
“I was given a serum when I was a tubie, it turned me into this. So whenever I get super emotional, mad, sad or even just super happy, I transform.” 04 nods, then he snuggles into Tech. “I like the fur, it’s nice.” Tech chuckles as Wrecker and Hunter laugh. “We think the same!!” Hunter laughs, then Wrecker’s eyes light up.
“Oooh, Oooh!! We also have a name for you!! One that we found when we were watching your training holo’s.” 04’s eyes light up, making Hunter smile. “We all came up with it. Your name is… Crosshair, but if you don’t like it, we can come up with a different one.”
04 shakes his head. “No, I love it!” He cuddles into Tech, making him smile and lick the top of Crosshair’s head. “Good, cause you are never going to be a number again, that’s just horrible.” Hunter reassures him, as he joins into the snuggle, and Wrecker jumps in too.
“Yeah, numbers suck!!” Wrecker exclaims, snuggling into Tech. the wolf chuckles and Wraps his long arms around his brothers, sandwiching Crosshair in the middle as he lays them all down. Crosshair hums, nuzzling into Tech’s chest. “Thanks, Ori’Vode.” He whispers, before his eyes flutter closed, and he drifts off to sleep. Tech smiles, as he watches his to other brothers do the same, then let’s himself succumb to sleep, believing that their little family is complete.

Omega whimpers, tail tucked between her legs as she lays in her room on the marauder, how had today gone so wrong. It had finally happened… she had transformed in front of her brothers. She didn’t mean too, it was Crosshair’s first mission back with them, and she got too excited. Omega didn't mean to transform, but the looks of fear on her brother’s face’s made her even more scared, so she ran.
Tears fall down her face, as she let’s out tiny, heartbreaking sobs. Omega can’t stop crying as she hugs Lula close to her, this is the saddest she’d been since the fall of Kamino, and at least then they all got Crosshair back, and took his chip out.
“Omega?” Hunter’s voice echoes through the Marauder, making Omega let out an involuntary whine. Her ears flick as she hears footsteps towards her bunk, and she can tell that it’s not just Hunter, all of her brothers are here. “Omega, it’s alright.” That’s Wrecker, and Omega wants to answer him, but she keeps quiet.
She hears whispering, then someone walks right up to the sheet separating her little room from the rest of the marauder. “Omega, I know that… I know that it’s scary, transforming in front of people by mistake.” Tech’s voice fills her ears, and her eyes open, tears falling faster. “Yeah.” She whimpers out ever so quietly. “You think that we were scared of you.” It’s said as a fact, and Omega whimpers again. “Yeah.”
There's a little chuckle. “We would never be afraid of you. I… I’m a werewolf too, Omega.” Omega’s eyes widen, as more tears spill out. “You are?” She asks quietly, and she can hear her brothers whispering a bit. “Yes, I am. You can ask anyone.” Omega sniffles, sitting up a bit. “I’m not the only one?” She asks quietly again, and Tech chuckles. “No, you aren’t.”
“Yeah!!! And don’t worry, we all love werewolves here!!” Wrecker yells excitedly, making Omega chuckle a bit. She then hears whispering again, before-- “How about I transform? Then we could all have a cuddle pile?” Tech offers, making Omega’s tears slow just a bit.
“Yes, please.” Omega hears some whispers once again, and then she hears the clang of armor on the floor. Her ears flick when she hears a few groans of discomfort from Tech, then the familiar sound of cracking bones.
She whimpers a bit and covers her ears tightly, trying to block out the sounds. But it’s no use, and she uncovers them after a few seconds of silence. “Omega? Can I come in?” The voice is deeper, but Omega would recognize her brother’s voice anywhere. “Yes.” She whispers, and suddenly a wolf’s head pops through, making her sniffle. She knows it’s Tech just by the goggles.
Tech smiles at her, gently running a clawed hand over her head. “Can I pull you out of here? Then we can all have a nice cuddle pile?” Omega nods, crawling over to Tech and wrapping her arms around his neck. He pulls her out, holding her tightly against his chest as he sits on the ground. “I’m not alone.” She whispers, making everyone get sad looks, especially Tech. “No, you are not alone. And you’ll never be alone again.” Tech promises her, hating that none of them had known she was a werewolf. It had made so much sense, why she hid in her room at certain times, why she was always so nervous to get too excited, it all made sense now.
“We’re all here for you, Omega. We know what it’s like to have a werewolf sibling, we'll protect you.” Hunter gives her his own promise, kneeling down and pressing his own kiss to her head. Omega watches Echoand Wrecker leave as Crosshair smiles and kneels down the opposite side of Hunter, running a hand through Tech’s fur.
“You know, I miss when your fur was so much fluffier. But at least we have Omega to fix that now.” Crosshair jokes, making Omega chuckle and Tech glare. “Yeah, like I could keep the fluffy fur of a baby werewolf forever.” He rolls his eyes, making Crosshair chuckle. Echo and Wrecker return with blankets, arranging them on the floor. “There!! Now we get to have a nice cuddle with our baby sis!!” Wrecker yells excitedly, and Echo nods. “Yep!”
Tech carries Omega over, laying down on the blankets and laying her on his chest. He runs a hand along her back as the others lay down around them. “You are perfect. Our perfect little sister. I could never be able to make you any more perfect than you already are.” Tech whispers, making Omega snuggle into him more. She gently licks his cheek, making him smile and lick the top of her head. “We all think you’re perfect Omega, werewolf or not. Just like our Techy.” Wrecker chuckles, reaching a hand over Crosshair to let Tech’s shoulder.
“Yeah, he’s amazing. The best little brother ever.” Echo muses, making Omega chuckle. “He is, the best Ori’Vod in the galaxy, you all are.” With that they all have a group hug, and Tech knows that even if he had never asked to be a werewolf.
He wouldn’t change it for the world.

~[MAGICAL CREATURES SERIES] –THE BAD BATCH AU (N5)
"NOT A DOG" WRECKER/WEREWOLF!OFC
AN INJURED VALERIE GETS RESCUED BY ONE OF THE KINDEST HUMANS SHE HAS EVER SEEN. IF THE BLONDE KID AND THE VERY BIG SOLDIER THINK SHE'S A REGULAR WOLF WHILE THEY KEEP HER HIDDEN AND SAFE IN THEIR SHIP... OH WELL... SHE'S CONTENT TO PLAY THE PART UNTIL SHE'S HEALED AND READY TO LEAVE.
WARNINGS: VIOLENCE (FIGHTS, BLOOD), ATTEMPTED FORCED MATE-MARKING IN THE FIRST PART, MENTIONS OF FAMILY LOSS 💔, OTHERWISE PURE FLUFFY FLUFF 💖
The wolf backed slowly into the tree. Her usually beautiful caramel fur was matted down to her skin with dirt and soil; blood darkening her light colour. She had a deep gash slicing across her back; minor gashes spread throughout her body and two bite marks sinked in each side of her neck. Everything hurt as hell. She had been fighting them off for almost two hours, now; exhaustion creeping in each of her weared bones. If it were a one vs one, Valerie was sure she would have been able to rip his throat off. But this wasn't a fair game; and no matter how brave and strong she was, the female werewolf wasn't enough to fight a whole wolfpack.
She snapped her powerful jaw in a warning, eying warily –and worriedly– the wolves that circled around her. She had known stepping into strangers territory wasn't a good idea to start with; but she hadn't been able to transform in almost a year now –never finding the right spot or moment in her jumps across the galaxy– and the beautiful forest of Ilyan posed too much of a temptation. Valerie had hoped to enjoy a quiet moment of peace, tuned in with her second form –which most of the times felt like her true one–; had wished to find friends and not enemies in case she came across another werewolf.
She hadn't had such luck. She had noticed them tracking her, first; her careful hearing always aware of her surroundings and her delicate nose picking up their smell. They were wary of her, and up to that point that was perfectly normal; she was a stranger in their woods, and Valerie understood the need to protect their place, their pack. She had called to them, her soft howl interrumpting the quiet silence of the night; friendly posture ingrained in her body as soon as the two wolves stepped away from the shadows and cautiously aproached her.
She had patiently waited for their veredict. Her tail moved slowly from one side to the other, clearly showing she wasn't meant to be a threat to them; happy chirps and excited sounds escaping her mouth with the new company.
It had been years since she had seen another werewolf. They were far and in between, nowadays; where before The Clone Wars there had been dozens of settlements across the galaxy, now there were only three. Ilya, Acaris, and Templa; three moons in the Outer Rim where her species had congregated, while a bunch of lonely other ones like her travelled across the galaxy.
Valerie had had a pack too, once. She used to belong to a group of ten; a true brother and nine wolfpack ones. She had been the only survival of a fight with another clan; and had left Acaris behind. She behaved like just another regular human, nowadays. However, it was nice to get back to her wolf form from time to time.
The two dark color wolves stepped towards her. Wolves were admirable creatures; with the elegant way they walked and the powerful strengh of their paws and jaws.
They smelled the air and Valerie waited. Her mind was already spinning with the possibilities. Could she enjoy a hunt with them? Speak to them in their human forms once the night had ended? Would they welcome her for a few days? It would be wonderful to make a stop in her endless travelling and take a rest.
The snout of one of the wolves pressed to the side of her neck. Valerie made a small noise, eagerly letting herself be scented and without really thinking on it, giving the black fur in front of her an affectionate lick with her tongue. The wolf let out a content rumble, and defensive posture forgotten, pushed softly against her, indicating they were good to play. Valerie smiled in her wolf form and carefully tackled the black wolf down. He inmediately growled and turned the situation around, biting her playfully and fully engaging in their game. The black-grey wolf that had been observing them for the time being finally decided to step in too, and soon the three of them were rolling around in the ground and jumping on top of each other like old friends.
Half an hour later, Valerie sprawled out in the grass, breath heaving and tongue lolling out. One of the wolves layed down besides her, both of their furs pressing together comfortingly; while the other, the black one that had first aproached her, half-acomodated himself on top of her. Valerie let him be. It wasn't an inusual thing in werewolves; they often cuddled in piles and protected themselves that way. She was happy to have been accepted by them.
She gently licked the black-grey fur of the wolf on her side; giving some comfort after the playfight. The black wolf half on top of her did the same to her; Valerie's tail wagging happily against the floor at the feeling. It had been so long since someone had taken care of her...
The black wolf moved towards her neck, nose twiching against it and distracting himself in her unusual curious smell again. Valerie scented him back, a natural reaction of all werewolves. Her whole body petrified and her mood swinged drastically when she felt the press of his sharp teeth on her bond spot. One deep bite in and she would be marked by him; soul always longing for his even if she were allowed to live separated from him.
She snarled and snapped her jaw at him, quickly jumping over him and biting him in a clear warning. His bitter blood filled her mouth. The black wolf quickly retailed; faster than she was able to dodge, he swipped his claws across her back. At the same time, the other wolf jumped into the fight as well, quickly tackling her over and snapping his jaw shut over the oposite side of her neck with an angry growl.
Valerie whimpered, body spasming with pain momentarily before she clawed and bit her way out of his grasp. Knowing they were no longer her friends –and probably never had been–, she sprang into a run. She fighted them for what seemed an eternity to her –other wolves adding themselves to her hunt–; an hour later, she was forcedly cornered against a five-person wolfpack.
Valerie tried to hide her fear. In the best situation, the male black werewolf would sink his teeth in his bond-spot and her soul would always be attached to his. In the worst, the wolfpack would rape or kill her. Her big amber eyes glazed over; a helpless whine escaping her throat while she shuffled her paws in place. She wanted neither of those to happen.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"Are those.... Oh my god, Wrecker, are those wolves?!"
Omega's excited voice echoed in the silence of the forest, inmediatly attracting the wolfpack's attention; two of them growling warningly towards them.
Wrecker identified the danger they posed; and quickly pushed Omega to a stop, clasping his hand on her shoulder and forcing her to abandon her eager advance towards the clearly agitated wolves.
Omega frowned in confusion. Her eyes flickered back to the scene. She was able to quickly recognise the situation then, after her second glance; the five dark colored wolves were closing in threateningly into the caramel one, whose blood was now making a slow small puddle onto the grass below him. They were definitely not friends; and not friendly towards the newcomers either.
Omega gulped and slowly closed her fingers around her bow.
"Why do you think they're fighting?" She whispered, stepping closer to Wrecker warily.
He too was lost analysing the scene. The caramel wolf was clearly gravely injured and on heavy disadvantage; it was almost heartbreaking, really, the way such a beautiful animal cowered in front of the rest of them, whimpering and shaking in pain and tiredness.
"I dunno' " he answered, deep voice capturing again the wolfpack's attention and dividing their focus between himself and their pray. "But it doesn't look fair to me".
One of the black wolves slowly stepped closer to the caramel one, who whimpered and snarled weakly at him.
Omega bit her lip, her innocent heart filling with worry.
"Can we help him?" She asked, situation imposible for her not to try to interfere.
Wrecker frowned. He wanted to, as well; to prevent this poor animal's death. He was a bit worried about the guys finding out he had allowed Omega to jump into trouble, though. But he couldn't leave it like that.
"Uh, oh... I guess" he ended up nodding, and they both readied themselves.
One of the wolves suddenly turned towards them, as if having heard their quiet conversation and retaliated against their decision. He jumped towards Omega. The girl didn't waste any time in using her bow to defend herself; injuring the wolf with surprisingly good aim. He snarled angrily at them, and soon the five wolves were changing their objective and stalking towards them.
Wrecker warily pointed them with his blaster; Omega waiting equally expectant beside him. One wolf leaped towards them, and then there was caos; a mix of fur, claws, and sharp teeth trying to get to them. They holded them off; though some of them managed to take a superficial swipe at both of them. When one threatened to jump on Omega's back while she was distracted pointing her bow at another, the caramel wolf sprung into action, intercepting it mid jump and saving her for a few inches. Omega gasped in surprise and felt equally grateful while trying to help him.
Minutes later, the five wolves retreated slowly, sparkling yellow eyes fixed on the three creatures in front of them. The caramel wolf was positioned in between the two humans; big strong man and a kid with an electric weapon and good aim. Their stance was protective and defensive; female wolf growling low in her throat and ready to take a chance on them.
The black wolf that seemed to work as their leader howled. Some of then joined; and then, with a last lingering glance, and a growl that sounded almost like a chuckle, they turned and slowly walked away.
Omega sighed and smiled. She was tired, but happy of having been able to help the wolf besides her.
"You're safe now, buddy" she told him, carefully placing her hand on top of her head and scratching softly.
The caramel wolf whimpered and pushed his snout against her hand, accepting the gesture surprisingly fast for a wild animal like that one. It would be the relief after such adrenaline.
Wrecker observed the scene.
"He's got some deep wounds there" he commented, examining the wolf in front of them carefully. "Dunno' if he's gonna' be able to make it".
Omega's eyes widenned. Surely he could, right? They hadn't saved him for nothing.
"But we can help him, Wreck! We can take him back to the Marauder and apply some bacta on him. I think it works well with animals too!"
Wrecker sighed. There was no point in dennying her. His conscience wouldn't feel good leaving the poor animal in such a state; and Omega's big eyes were impossible to deal with. He studied how the injured animal trembled in exhaustion –and probably blood loss– and sighed again.
"Alright. You take my backpack. I guess this guy's my new one."
Omega chuckled, and helped Wrecker position the wolf over his back. Surprisingly, he let them push him around; only whimpering and whinning in pain here and there.
"He's so hurt he doesn't even have much of that wary animal instinct anymore" she whispered sadly, caressing his fur affectionately.
Wrecker hummed and stood up, holding the animal tightly against his back. This had to be one of his weirdest experiences.
"Don't worry, Mr wolf" he mumbled, gruntin under his weight while they started making their way back to the ship. "We'll take care of you".
Wrecker felt the cold nose of the animal press against his neck before the animal passed out and his weight turned heavier.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Smuggling a big wolf into her room in the Marauder without Hunter or the others noticing it was probably one of Omega's biggest acomplishments. She was pressed up against him, now, patiently waiting for Wrecker to come back with the medicines; eyes focused on her new injured hairy friend.
The wolf had his amber eyes closed; panting heavily against the floor, tiny whimpers shaking his injured body intermitently. Omega winced and softly shushed him. Oh, Maker, it was definitively going to be a challenge to keep him hidden from Hunter.
"I know it hurts, Mr Wolf, but you can't make much noise" she whispered to him, fingers carefully caressing the fur of his head. "My brother has perfect hearing and he's gonna' be mad if he finds out".
The wolf didn't make a sound.
Omega sighed in relief and beamed at Wrecker's arrival; inmediately grabbing the bacta pack he offered her and puting her hands to work.
"Got a clean cloth? I don't think we should put the bacta with all this dirt on".
Wrecker nodded and cleaned the wounds himself. The wolf tensed, and both clones could feel his pain; yet he didn't release a whine or whimper, obeying Omega's request. The girl started to ponder if the creature was more intelligent than the regular wolf. They were, after all, in the Outer Rim; and strange things hapened here.
They got the animal fixed in the next couple of minutes. They disinfected the gashes and bite marks –those look specially painfull–, and smoothed bacta cream over them, adding a patch on one side of his neck. Omega bandaged him; and the wolf, half conscious, didn't protest.
"Okay, buddy, I think we got you all fixed up" Wrecker mumbled, akwardly patting his head.
He studied Omega en silence.
"You sure sleeping with him is a good idea? What if he bites you or wakes up angry?" He hesitated.
He wasn't the most cautious of his brothers; but even he could see the risk.
Omega smiled soothingly.
"That won't happen" she affirmed, sure of herself. "Mr Wolf knows we've helped him and won't harm us. Isn't that right, buddy?"
Wrecker had to cover his mouth not to laugh out loud when, as an answer, the animal opened his impressive jaw and licked across Omega's face with his largue tongue. She groaned and cleaned the spit and blood of. Mr Wolf was definitively getting a sonic tomorrow.
"Okay, I think that's confirmation enough" the clone smiled. "G'night, Meg".
"Night, Wrecker".
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
As Omega had predicted, the wolf didn't show any signs of agression towards either of them. The animal seemed pretty comfortable with the two; always pressing his snout and head against them and demanding attention, and even using his paws to call them. He was astonishingly intelligent; he understood basic, apparently, because he followed Omega's orders to perfection without having to repeat herself.
That was probably the only reason why they had managed to keep him a secret for five whole days. Omega had tried to trick Hunter's sense of smell covering the animal in her and Wrecker's clothes; always leaving the door of her tiny room closed. He was wary, that's for sure; but wary and angry were too different things and Omega was happy with their current situation.
When Hunter finally did confront them, Wrecker couldn't think of anything else than blurting out "It's a dog! That's the secret. We're keeping a dog"; which admitedly worked wonders with Hunter's heightened senses. He must had definitively smelled an animal; a canine, to be exact, and oh well, Mr Wolf was just of the same family.
Omega loved sleeping with Mr Wolf. He was the perfect pillow; and always warmed her up when she was cold. She had grown to see him as a friend; and the girl knew he did too. Well, maybe not as a proper friend; but someone to take care of and protect, by the way his eyes always carefully and patiently studied her and how he always tried to make everything easier for her. She knew Wrecker felt the same way. On the rare ocasion that the rest of the Batch left to look for supplies and they both stayed behind, she had seen Mr Wolf cuddling up to him as well. Omega had even watched them play tackle with each other; the sight of his big brother and her strong fluffy friend rolling around and laughing always bringing a smile to her face.
Inevitably, they had to tell the truth. It was obviously weird they never wanted the boys to see their "puppy"; and the excuse that he was too scared and still getting used to the Marauder didn't work anymore. Omega played with her own fingers nervously while Wrecker sighed and went to find Mr Wolf; Echo's, Tech's and Hunter's eyes focused on her own with various degrees of frustration and confusion. She prayed they didn't force her friend to go.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Valerie's tongue playfully loled out of her mouth when seing Wrecker's aproach. She had learned not to make a sound in the ship, so she showed all of her emotions and words with her expresions and the postures of her body. This one said she was happy to see him, impatient, even. She was growing a bit bored of having to be trapped in Omega's small room the whole day; wishing she could go anywhere she wanted without the risk of getting expelled of the Marauder.
The truth was that she had quickly grown very fond of the two strangers. They were gentle, innocent souls; and Valerie felt the natural fierce need to protect them as if they were her own. She hadn't felt such peace since losing her family in Ascaris; and the empty sad feeling that had always stayed with her since then had slowly started to melt away. It was a silly hope to keep, she was aware; her two new friends would probably feel betrayed when finding the truth about her, and the rest of the squad aparently wouldn't even accept her in her animal form. Still, she couldn't help but dream.
"Follow me, buddy" he mumbled. "No more hiding now".
Valerie felt a bit confused by Wrecker's words; but assumed he ment his brothers had left the ship to explore the city they had stopped in and diligently followed him through the corridor. Her paws gently echoed against the floor. She pressed her nose against Wreckers hand and felt a growing anxious feeling when he didn't seem to notice it, lost in thought.
They reached the cockpit, where she had played with Wrecker dozens of times before, and...
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Tech blinked.
"That's definitively not a dog".
END OF PART 1.

Silly Boy (Werewolf!Hunter x OC)
Notes: each member of the Batch is actually a werewolf. for Halloween purposes. This fic is entirely self-indulgent but what is fanwork if not self-serving?
Tumblr media
Hunter bit back a growl as he watched Saachi laughing with Wrecker. She scratched the dark brown scruff under his chin, and Wrecker's tail wagged back and forth, banging against the wall of the ship as he lay sprawled on her lap, halfway transitioned into his wolf form.
"Good boy," She laughed, taking a bit of dried nerf jerky from her bag. She was adjusting to the sudden revelation that they were all wolves remarkably well.
"Thanks," Wrecker blushed and rubbed his neck. He tried to keep his manners, daintily taking the jerky from her in between the pads of his wolf paw. Unfortunately, it slipped from his grasp and fell on the floor.
Wrecker stared at the lost food in horror, but Saachi simply rolled her eyes and tossed another piece into the air. Wrecker leaped with joy, catching the treat in mid air and coming back down in full wolf form now. He skid to a stop, and came barrelling back into Saachi's stomach with his prize. Saachi laughed, moving down to scratch the spot between his shoulders.
"Wrecker, your ears are so soft!" Saachi squealed, rubbing the tip of his good ear.
Wrecker hid his snout under his paw. None of them had ever received so many compliments on their wolf forms. Another growl scratched the back of Hunter's throat as he wished he was the one getting all those compliments from Saachi.
"Alright, alright, what's the prognosis?" Hunter asked.
"No concussion, just needs a nap." Saachi giggled as Wrecker's tail wagged back and forth, smacking into the wall with rhythmic thuds while she scratched under his chin.
"I have never seen a dog as excited as Wrecker," She laughed. Hunter loved that laugh. He could listen to that laugh forever. He just wished
"Who's a good boy?" Wrecker's head perked up. Hunter's ear twitched, bracing his heart for what was coming next. "You are! You're a good boy!"
Wrecker barked in delight as his tongue lolled out and his giant front two paws landed on Saachi's chest, pushing her down on the ground.
"Woah!" Saachi wasn't expecting that reaction, and braced herself against the matted scruff on his neck. "Not the face, okay?" She wagged a finger at Wrecker's snout even as his tongue threatened to slobber all over her face.
Several of their dog toys were scattered on the floor of the hold, and Hunter casually kicked one to the side as he nonchalantly made his way to the navicomputer. Wrecker immediately looked up at the squeaking and pounced on the toy. The momentum carried him head over paws, out the door, and down the ramp of the ship. Saachi wiped some of the drool from her face as she sat up.
"Thank you," She adjusted her glasses.
Hunter shrugged, taking a seat in front of the navicomputer. "You can always tell him to stop. Any of us, for that matter."
Saachi shrugged. "It made him happy."
If Hunter's heart beat any louder, she would hear it.
"I used to have a dog like that when I was growing up. It was nice to be able to come home to someone who was always excited to see you."
"He didn't crowd you too much, did he? He tends to be-"
"Excitable?" Saachi dropped into the chair next to him.
Her head bobbed back and forth, "A little, but I miss getting affection like that, even from friends." She traced the lines on her hands.
"Oh?" Hunter prompted, a curious crooning noise in his voice that made Saachi giggle. He almost wanted to make the noise again just to hear her laugh.
"Yeah, I imagine Kamino wasn't the most affectionate place for all of you either."
She looked out the door of the ship, watching Wrecker wrestling with Echo in the hanger, and Hunter's stomach twisted.
"Well," Hunter huffed, determined to not give in to the jealous monster in the pit of his stomach, "Wrecker certainly liked it when you scratched his ears."
Saachi’s head snapped up and looked at him with pain in her dark brown eyes. He hadn't meant to be so cold when he spoke up, but he couldn't help it. The guilt hit him like a venator cruiser. He certainly didn't deserve scratches now.
Saachi bit her lip. "Hunter, do you... Do you want me to scratch your ears?" she asked quietly.
His ear twitched, and he called upon all his self-discipline to keep his tail still, but it was futile. It whacked energetically against the chair a couple times before he quickly sat on it to hide it.
"No." he insisted, arms folded tightly.
Saachi hesitantly reached out to brush his arm. "Are you sure?"
Hunter didn't flinch away, but he was determined not to respond and let Saachi know how much he wanted to feel her touch. How was he supposed to tell her that he wanted her to give him scratches, to tell him how soft his ears were, and have her bury her face in the fur around his neck while she laughed.
Saachi inched closer to his head, but Hunter's hand shot out, grabbing her wrist.
Saachi didn't yelp. She quirked an eyebrow at him, and knowing he couldn't deny it any further, Hunter meekly guided her hand to the top of his head. Saachi stood, coming to stand in front of him, leaning against the console.
She brushed aside his bangs first, so they could see each other better, and then her hand came up behind his ear. She looked at him one more time for confirmation, and Hunter nodded.
Her fingertips brushed against the short hairs on his ear, and he had never felt anything more heavenly. His eyes fell closed as she scratched the base of his ear, in the perfect spot.
Emboldened, Saachi brought her other hand up to scratch at the other ear.
"All you had to do was ask, silly boy," Saachi whispered, scratching behind each ear with one hand.
" 'm sorry," Hunter mumbled sheepishly.
Saachi laughed, and Hunter's chest swelled with pride.
Take that, Wrecker, he thought.
Outside, Wrecker's jaunt with Echo crashed them into the side of the Marauder, shaking the ship.
A growl involuntarily tore itself from Hunter's throat, and both he and Saachi froze.
"I am so sorry-" He stammered out.
Saachi slapped a hand against his chestplate, nearly doubled over with laughter as she wrapped her arms around him.
"You are so silly," She gasped for air, pressing her face into his neck.
Hesitantly, Hunter wrapped his arms around her waist. Maybe, just maybe, being Saachi's "silly boy" sounded a lot better to him than just being "good"

Bad Batch Werewolf AU Masterpost
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Omega peeled herself off the sticky floor and eased herself onto her knees. Her whole body hurt.
She tried to shift, just like she had every time she woke up.
She couldn't do it.
She still couldn't go back to being normal.
She hated it.
She hated the monster she was.
She wanted to scream.
She squeezed her arms tightly and didn't realize what she was doing until the smell of fresh blood hit her. She paused for a moment, she could feel her claws digging into her skin, her already angry skin screamed at her to stop.
So she pulled her fingers away from her skin and started pulling the fur she had left. It stung and she scratched herself a little each time, but she didn't really care.
A monster like her deserved all the pain it could take.
Omega choked back a sob and bit her lip, the salty tang of metal oozed into her mouth.
She didn't know how long she was like that, maybe minutes, maybe hours, but someone knocking on the door pulled her away from the mindless task of ripping herself apart.
"No." She croaked out.
"Omega…? It's Echo… Hunter and I have some medicine for you." Echo said calmly.
"Go away!" She shouted.
"We just want to help you Omega, we're worried." Hunter pleaded.
"We promise we won't get mad, no matter what you've done." Echo swore.
Omega glanced around her, at the sticky blood coating the bathroom floor, the small, bloodstained nest of towels, and the chunks of bloody fur she had ripped off.
"I doubt that." She muttered.
"Omega, I promise, I just want to help you." Echo said.
"Why would you wanna help a monster like me?" She mumbled into her cape.
"Kid you're not a-" Hunter started before Echo shushed him.
"Because that monster is a very sweet little kid who just needs some help, everyone makes mistakes, kid." Echo said softly.
Omega's hands moved without her head, she only caught up when she heard the latch clip open.
She couldn't let them see her like this!
They couldn't see her wolf!
They especially couldn't see her all beat up like this!
She wasn't even supposed to let her claws grow out! Much less use them on herself.
She whimpered and backed into a corner of the fresher, head tucked between her legs, waiting for the shouting to start.
"… kid…"
She let out a muffled scream.
Her heart was going way too fast. It wasn't normal, she wasn't normal! She had a stupid little monster heartbeat!
"Kid, breath." Hunter told her.
Her head shot up.
Why aren't they mad? Everyone was always mad at her for being such a horrible little monster.
She stole a glance at her brother's faces, they didn't look mad… for some reason…
They really should be. I made a huge mess they'll have to clean up.
She shoved her head back down and squeezed her legs closer to her chest. She hated the way her tail wrapped around her body.
She winced when Hunter drew in a sharp breath. She was an absolute mess and she knew it.
Nala Se would be so disappointed in her.
She was so terrible.
A horrible little monster who deserved nothing.
No kindness.
No chances.
Nothing.
Monsters only deserved one thing.
"Omega, can we help you?" Echo's calm voice broke through her thoughts.
"No. Monsters don't deserve help." Omega refused.
She heard Echo scoot a bit closer, his prosthetics scrapped against the bloody floor.
"Everyone deserves help, monsters too." He said.
Omega dared to peek up at him.
He still didn't look mad.
Maybe he isn't…? That stupid, impulsive, wrong part of her brain piped up.
Maybe… maybe, it had a point.
"Even if they bite people who help them?" She asked cautiously.
"Especially if they bite people, those that bite are just really scared and don't know what else to do." Echo said.
Omega quickly looked away from him. He was lying, he might have been saying nice things but he couldn't possibly mean them.
"You'd be mad if I bit you." She huffed.
"You wanna take that bet?" Echo prompted.
There was something on her head. It hurt! Before she could think to react properly, she wiped her head up and snapped at whatever was hurting her.
It was a quick snap, she definitely hit something.
Echo pulled his hand back and examined it carefully, then he smiled at her.
"See, I'm not mad." He said.
"Do I look mad to you Hunter?" He turned to Hunter, who was sitting slightly behind him now.
"Nope. Not at all." Hunter answered.
Omega stared at Echo's hand. There were two tiny pricks of blood welling up, and he didn't care.
"That doesn't make any sense." She said without thinking.
"How so?" Hunter prompted her.
"I bit you! Why aren't you mad?!" She shouted, much louder than she intended to.
"You didn't mean it. You bit me because you were scared. It happens." Echo said.
Omega blinked at him utterly dumbfounded. It made almost no sense.
"This isn't Kamino, kid, you can make mistakes, and you can have accidents. We won't get mad at you." Hunter told her.
"You're safe with us." Echo added.
Omega looked down at her red, angry skin, it burned with every movement she made. It hurt so much and while she knew she deserved it for being so bad, she wanted it gone. She didn't want her body to scream at her anymore.
Hesitantly, she leaned forwards until Hunter and Echo got the message she was too confused to properly convey.
Careful arms wrapped around her with a strong but gentle hug.
She cried quietly as they held her, whispering soft words of reassurance into her ears.
For some reason, her mangled tail started wagging.
She couldn't find it in herself to stop it.
"Let's get you cleaned up, alright kid?" Hunter said.
She could only nod.
Her mind began to slowly pick up speed as she sat there, silently watching her brothers clean her wounds, the older ones were starting to show signs of infection.
Her mind mulled over what she had just been told, and she trusted her brothers, she didn't have any reason not too but… trusting them meant she couldn't trust what Nala Se had told her, and maybe, when she really thought hard about it, Nala Se looked sad whenever she was reprimanded. Nala Se had always been more gentle and lenient with her… maybe… maybe… her brothers were right.
She liked that thought.
It made her feel warm and safe and not as much like a monster… she still was one… but she was just a scared little monster now…
A scared little monster was better than a horrible one.
Her brothers wrapped her arms snuggly in clean bandages.
"Can we wash your ears?" Echo asked quietly.
Omega nodded, said ears twitched as the water was turned on in the tub. Hunter ran a pair of clean cloths under the warm water and her brothers carefully worked the dried clumps of blood out of her hair and fur.
The room was warmer than it had been before, and she hadn't exactly had any good sleep the last two days. Plus her brothers were here to take care of her… yeah she could sleep now.
She could sleep.
She wanted to sleep.
XXX
Hunter carried Omega out of the fresher, she was bandaged up and fast asleep.
He set her down in her makeshift room, building a little nest with blankets and pillows and any soft things he could scrounge up. He gave her Lula and quietly left her to her slumber, hoping she'd be better when she woke up.
He came into the cockpit, catching the tail end of Echo explaining to Tech and Wrecker what their next steps were. Crosshair was missing however.
"Any of you seen Cross?" He asked once the conversation was over.
"Oh, he's probably getting the shit beat out of him." Echo chuckled before taking a sip of his caf.
Hunter stared at him for a moment.
"What?"
"You heard me." Echo said before he left the cockpit.
"I didn't understand you." Hunter growled after his older brother, following him out of the marauder.
He heard Tech and Wrecker curiously following as well.
Echo stood at the bottom of the ramp, staring out into the dimly lit street while absently swirling his mug of caf. His ears were perked, he was waiting for something.
Hunter could hear someone walking around near their ship. A soft growl escaped him, he scanned the darkness for the possible threat.
"Oh, whatcha looking for?"
Hunter did not jump, and he absolutely did not scream at the unfamiliar voice right in his ears.
A Mandalorian, a rather short Mandalorian, was standing off the side of the ramp, with an unconscious Crosshair tossed over their shoulder, and a shit eating grin no doubt underneath that helmet. Echo was looking pretty smug himself.
"How did you-"
"I have my ways of getting around those senses." They said smugly.
"Why'd ya-" Wrecker started.
"He told my niece she didn't deserve to be alive." They answered before he could even finish.
"She's a friend of Naylaz's family." Echo piped up.
"And did you know this was happening?" Hunter asked.
Echo gave him a smug look and took another sip of his caf.
"Course he knew, you gotta ask a pack leader about this sorta stuff, common courtesy really." The Mandalorian said.
"I'm the leader of this squad." Hunter growled.
"But not the pack leader." She said.
"Ain't that the same thing?" Wrecker asked.
"Nope." Echo said.
"Did you actually give someone permission to beat Crosshair up?" Tech inquired.
"Permission isn't the word I'd use. It's more like she gave me a heads up." Echo shrugged.
"Yep! It was gonna happen one way or another, just be glad I didn't poison him." The Mandalorian said in an all too cheerful voice.
She shifted Crosshair's weight off her shoulder and lazily tossed him in Hunter's general direction. Hunter caught his brother before he could hit his head on the ground. A large bruise was forming on his cheek, he growled at the Mandalorian.
"Oh don't get your tail in a twist, I didn't hit him too hard." She scoffed.
"So how's your pup doing?" She asked, turning towards Echo.
"Better, we finally got her out of the fresher and got her cleaned up, she's sleeping right now." Echo said, talking like this was a casual conversation with a friend and not someone who just beat up his brother, even if it was admittedly kinda deserved.
"That's good, Kiwi's been asking about her, she still feels really bad about the whole thing no matter how many times we tell her not to be." The Mandalorian shook her head and sighed good naturedly.
"Kids sure are a handful." Echo chuckled.
"Oh you don't know the half of it yet, yours hasn't even started puberty yet." She punched Echo's shoulder lightly.
"See ya round!" She gave them all a lazy salute, tossed some small flare up into the air and just like that, she was gone as suddenly as she'd appeared.
Echo just chuckled to himself and kept drinking his caf.
"Echo, explain what that was." Hunter ordered.
Echo glanced over his shoulder.
"It's a long story involving a panic attack and a bakery."
XXX
Omega woke up in a haze surrounded by warmth and softness instead of the cold, hard, sticky floor. She didn't open her eyes and instead burrowed deeper into the warm blankets. She was content to stay sleeping for the rest of the day, or night, she didn't really know what time it was.
She felt eyes on her, it wasn't the familiar gaze of one of her brothers, but it felt safe all the same.
Sleepily, she lifted her head to see whoever was watching her.
Something was sitting on top of the port wall, staring down at her with glowing eyes.
It was watching her, and she felt a wave of calm wash over them as she made eye contact. The Loth how'd she know what it was? nodded to her.
Somehow, some instinct deep inside of her told her this Loth currently watching over her was someone she could trust.
Sleep. Safe now.
The thought was compelling it didn't come from her mind but she could accept it and with the Loth watching over her like that, she could sleep peacefully, knowing she was extra safe.
Omega smiled up at the Loth guardian and tucked her head back down into the warm blankets of her nest. She found sleep coming to her far more easily, like it was being pushed towards her, a gentle wave lapping at her feet. She heard words that didn't come from anyone she knew bounce around her head.
"Sleep ad'ika, you're safe."
Yeah, I am safe.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Am I too mean to Crosshair?
No.
He's canonically a space Nazi and he's my punching bag for real life people I don't like.
Just gonna say that Omega isn't going to be back to normal after this, she's just gonna be a less self destructive mess, with the delightful possibility of sliding back.
I really love Omega in case you couldn't tell, that's why I'm putting her through hell! She's my favorite.
I'll fix it eventually, maybe, probably.
I hope you all have a good day whatever that is for you!

Fight Or Flight
Summary: Omega explores Mantell City with Echo and discovers a harsh reality of the galaxy.
Word count: 2.7k
Warnings: Blood, attacks, fighting, degrading remarks, discrimination, self hate, mental breakdown, lack of self care. Swearing.
A/N: Cid is a lot nicer in this au, she's more like a critical, shrewd but still caring aunt than what she is in the show. Let me have my nice aunt/grandma Cid headcanon.
Bad Batch Loth-Werewolf AU link here.
________________________________________________________________________________
Omega ran down one of the streets of Mantell City, her brothers had let her go exploring with Echo. Their last mission to Corellia was still fresh in her mind, it had been exciting but a little scary. She took a sharp turn down a smaller path.
"Omega slow down!" Echo called out.
"Okay!" Omega skidded to a stop and waited for Echo to catch up.
"You're excited today." He said, ruffling her hair.
"Yeah! We get to explore today!" Omega cheered happily.
Echo chuckled and patted her head again. "Just be careful, we never know who we'll run into." He warned.
She nodded obediently and grabbed his hand so he could keep up with her.
They walked, and ran, around Mantell City for hours, the sun was low in the sky and made long, silly looking shadows. Omega stomped around, watching her shadow make silly shapes, she giggled and looked around.
They were in an area she'd never seen before. It was pretty clean compared to the rest of the city. And it smelled strongly of humans. Weird, usually there's a bunch of different smells. She didn't pay much mind to that thought and kept going happily on her way.
Echo however, was a bit more skeptical of the area. It didn't look as seedy and shady as the rest of the city did, but he could only smell humans, that usually didn't mean anything good. His experiences had taught him just how speciesist humans could be, especially in places where they'd feel 'threatened' by the abundance of non-humans. They weren't in any real danger, most authorities, who were coincidentally human, sided with humans, or just didn't care and the aliens didn't want to deal with the human shit.
He had an unwanted feeling of being watched. The feeling of being hunted wasn't one any Loth appreciated.
"Omega, stick closer to me." He called out.
The young clone stopped and turned back to him with a confused look.
"Why? Is something wrong?" She asked.
Omega suddenly felt like someone was watching her, sneaking up on her. Somewhere deep down, her mind screamed that she was being hunted. She shivered and moved towards her brother.
A shadow fell over her.
Someone laughed.
The sound was cold and unsettling.
"Look at this. A clone and a half clone kid." A cold voice said from behind her.
She could feel the fur coming in on her back sticking up from fear. She looked to Echo, unsure of whether to go towards him or stay put. He was reaching towards his blaster, Omega hoped he wouldn't use it.
"We're just passing through, let us head on our way and nobody has to get hurt." Echo said as calmly as he could manage.
Omega saw his gaze flick between her and something else. She froze at the click of a blaster.
They're gonna kill me! Her head screamed, all the noise ramped up as her mind frantically scrambled to find a way out of this.
"You are in our land, this place is off limits to any clones, even half clones." The person behind her paused, "Especially wolf clones." They hissed.
Omega got even more scared if that was even possible. She whimpered and wrapped her arms around herself, squeezing them.
"Leave the kid alone, she's not a clone, your problem is with me." Echo said.
Omega whimpered when she was shoved forwards. She looked to Echo for help, he gave her a small nod and took his hand away from his blaster.
"You think we'll listen to a pathetic droid clone like you? You're a stupid lab scrapper." They scoffed.
Lab Scrapper. The words froze in her mind. She didn't like them. They were bad words. A growl rose in her throat. Echo shook his head.
"Ha! Kid's like the clone, no wonder the mutt is hanging around you." She was shoved to the ground.
She rolled back and away from the group of humans, they all had blasters out. Echo let out a sigh and glanced at her regretfully.
"Sorry about this kid." She would ask what he meant but he answered the question before it left her mouth.
He changed and now stood at his full, nearly eleven foot height, towering over the humans. He let out a low, threatening growl. Omega knew it was a warning, Echo didn't really want to fight but he would if he had too.
The humans hardly waited after he growled to start firing. Echo swatted their blasters down with his tail, his thick skin and fur soaking up most of the damage. Most blasters weren't much against Loths, that was one of the reasons the Kaminoans had tolerated their existence.
Omega turned away and covered her eyes, she didn't want to see Echo do what Crosshair did. She couldn't imagine him doing that, he wasn't like Crosshair, he was kind and understanding and never mean to her. She didn't want to think of any of her brothers doing anything like that again.
Her head shot up as she heard Echo curse. Her blood froze yet again. There was something sticking out of Echo's side, it was wedged behind his shoulder and dug in deep. There was blood dripping down his dark fur.
They hurt him.
They hurt him?
They hurt him!
They hurt my brother!
Shock cascaded into rage.
There wasn't a voice telling her to stop this time.
She stood up, the ground was rough against her padded paws. She snarled and snapped at the nearest human. Warm liquid filled her mouth, it spilled out as she let go, dripping down her jaw.
She growled and snarled, her ears flat against her head and her fur fluffed out. She tasted blood in her mouth. It coated her chest, warm and salty and sticky.
Rage was fueling her.
They had dared to insult her brother and had the audacity to hurt him after!
She dimly heard Echo calling out for her to stop, she didn't listen. She stalked towards the humans who'd hurt her brother just because he was a clone and Loth.
That isn't right! He's a person!
She saw only red.
"Omega! Stop!"
Omega growled and lashed out at whoever was pulling her back. She felt a large paw holding her down.
"Omega, calm down. It's done, it's over. You won." Slowly, she came back to her senses.
She blinked and wiped at the sticky blood in her eyes that made it hard to see. She felt a rough, wet tongue lick the blood off for her.
She opened her eyes and instantly wished she'd kept them shut.
She stopped breathing. She swore her heart stopped too. Echo nudged her with his muzzle.
"Omega, I know it looks bad but-" He broke off as she pulled away from him.
She was wolf! Everything she'd ever been told not to do she had just done!
Echo is here! He saw!
Panic and shame and fear tumbled around in a gigantic mess of emotions and adrenaline. She made herself smaller, tucked her tail between her legs and stared in horror at her brother.
He was still wolf too, and the weapon, a knife, was still lodged in his side.
"Omega-" He started.
Her fear took over and she bolted, hardly hearing Echo calling after her. She blindly followed her nose back to Cid's, forcing herself into as complete of a change back as she could.
It hurt more than it ever had before but even the pain was dulled by an intense need for a small, safe space she could hide in.
She darted into Cid's and didn't stop, not even when her brothers were shouting in alarm and worry at her sudden arrival without Echo. At the blood on her.
She could feel it drying on her skin, hair and fur.
Without any thought, she bolted for Cid's office and hid in the darkness under the Trandoshan's desk.
She pressed herself into a corner and fought back the urge to shift. Her body was screaming, screeching at her. She dug her claws into her arms as she squeezed them, focusing on that pain instead of her body's screams.
No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't go back to being human, she couldn't make her body be normal again. She was stuck in her half shifted form.
Her mind was racing so fast and replaying every instant of her fight, over and over. Echo's frightened, worried face, blood on her paws, blood on the streets, blood on bodies. Just so much blood.
She cried and screamed and thrashed about, clawing at her body and clothes.
The door opened, she caught Hunter's scent.
He couldn't see this. Echo had and that was terrible already!
"Kid? Are you-"
She hardly gave him a chance to speak before she shouted and screeched and barked at him to leave.
"Go away! Go away! Go away! Get out! Get out! Get out now! Osik! Get the fuck out!" She screeched from her hiding place.
It wasn't often that she cursed, and she hadn't known many common ones until meeting her brothers again. She'd overheard those in an argument between Echo and Crosshair.
She panted heavily, holding her ears against her head as she waited for Hunter's reaction. There was a long stretch of silence.
And Hunter left.
He was going to be so mad! She was going to be in so much trouble!
Omega trembled and broke down into tears and screaming.
XXX
Omega curled further into herself as the door to Cid's office opened. It wasn't one of her brothers though, it was Cid.
She whimpered and cried again. Cid would be so mad at her for coming into her office like this and ruining it. She wasn't supposed to go in, but it had been the only hiding spot she could think of, and she didn't want to leave it now.
A bowl of warm, fragrant water was set down near her, Cid grunted and sat down heavily. Omega caught a glimpse of something pale in Cid's clawed hands.
"Need help cleaning, Tiny?" Cid spoke to her in a much softer voice than she had ever heard from the Trandoshan.
Her ears perked in surprise, Cid was sitting calmly and patiently waiting for her to respond with a towel and fur brush in her hands. The look on her face was almost worried, but it was definitely sympathetic.
She gave a small nod and scooted forwards slightly, leaning her head towards Cid. The Trandoshan had a surprisingly soft touch as she took the damp towel to her blood stained face, gently scrubbing the dried blood away with the warm water.
Omega tried not to pay attention to how much dried blood was coming off.
Cid muttered and took the brush to her ears, yanking out clumps of dead, matted blood stuck fur. It didn't hurt much until Cid got to one of her painful ear spots. With a whimper Omega held her hands over her ears to keep Cid from touching it.
"It looks like you've got a hot spot, Tiny." Cid said.
"Whats that?" Omega asked quietly.
"Moisture collects under your matted fur and lets bacteria grow and it makes a painful sore, they can get infected, good thing I'm cleaning it now." Cid told her.
The Trandoshan used a soft fluffy ball with some medicine on it and wiped at the painful spot, it stung, but Omega didn't protest.
She didn't say anything as Cid kept cleaning her ears, didn't even make a peep when Cid dipped a warmly wet towel into her ear to clean the blood there.
"This stuff is a pain, it'll get in your ears and cause an infection if you don't clean it fast enough." Cid said.
The Trandoshan was fine with her silence. She kept talking anyway, to distract the kid's active mind from inevitably going to those dark places.
Cid finished washing the dried blood out of her ears and grabbed a fur brush to dislodge anything stuck in her matted clumps. She whimpered a little but didn't do anything to stop her. It didn't feel great but it also didn't feel terrible.
"I'm done for now but you need to take better care of your ears kid, they'll get pelted." Cid told her.
Omega turned to the Trandoshan, her eyes felt puffy, she knew they must've looked swollen. She saw understanding and sympathy on Cid's face. Cid wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer.
She felt the woman's large claws trace circles gently on her back. She curled into the Trandoshan and cried.
She cried about how awful she felt, how hard it was to sleep, how tired she felt all the time. She cried about the mess she'd made. She cried about how much of a mistake she felt like. She rambled and cried about everything that had gone wrong with her and how sorry she was for intruding on Cid's space.
She just cried for what seemed like hours.
"It's alright Tiny, there's nothing wrong with you." Cid told her in an attempt to comfort her.
"Yes there is! There's a lot of things wrong with me!" Omega cried.
"Just because your head works differently than most humans doesn't mean something is wrong with you." Cid said.
"What? Of course it means something is wrong!" Omega fought back, not questioning just how Cid knew about her closely kept secret.
"If it was wrong then why do natborns come out with a mind like yours, and your brother's? It's not all that rare given how many humans there are, other species have similar conditions. It's something that just happens, having it doesn't make you wrong, because you're not wrong." Cid's conviction was stronger than Omega had expected.
It made her further doubt what she'd been told by the Kaminoans. Nala Se had never told her she was wrong but some of the other Kaminoans said it right in front of her, others when they thought she wasn't listening, Lama Su had done both. Is my brain like being Loth? Is it really just something that happens? Why didn't Nala tell me?
"r-really?" She asked softly.
"Yep." Cid affirmed with a nod.
The kid didn't look like she believed her.
"You know, I've got a friend who's a lot like you." The way the kid's bloodshot eyes lit up made Cid feel a little something that was reserved for very specific people. Sympathy.
Sorry Blue, you'll understand why I talked when you see her.
"Do you want to know about her?" Cid asked.
"Yes! Er, that would be very nice." The kid's tail wagged around wildly.
XXX
Cid closed the door to her office, Tiny had fallen asleep on the floor and Cid hadn't wanted to wake her up by moving her so she had just tossed a blanket over her and given her a pillow.
She sighed and turned to face the five overprotective clones.
"Before you start going off, Tiny isn't physically hurt, she just fell asleep and shit, she needs it so for fuck's sake, be quiet." She snapped in a low voice.
The five clones all looked between each other, confused and unsure of what they were supposed to be doing with a child in the situation of Tiny. Cid sighed in annoyance and face palmed.
These idiots don't know anything! Who let them have a kid?
"You boys don't know anything about kids, do you?" She guessed.
"We're soilders." Moody stated.
"Wasn't Cut a soldier too?" Cid prompted.
"How-"
"Kid talks." She cut Goggles off.
"How much more do you know? You don't have kids." Moody put in.
"I had friends with kids, I know a lot more than you think." Cid snapped at him.
"Now, Tiny doesn't want to be bothered by any of you once she wakes up and I have a job for you, this one will pay well." Cid told them.
"You want us to leave her here after what happened today?!" Scomp asked in shock.
"Yes, she needs time to herself and she doesn't need to talk about it. She'll be fine. I promise." Cid told them.
They didn't look sold, she'd need to do more pushing. Maker knew that kid needed time alone to self-reflect.
