A couple of other Web sources call this a “prototype”, and these pics, the only others I found of a “Holtom Aero” show a simpler body (no rear wheel covers, for one thing)...

...and a simpler radiator grille as well.

BTW, there’s an interesting detail in that lower photo. The split windscreen (windshield) can - and is - open, suggesting the photo was taken on a hot day. 

Cars of the 1920s-30s had gone from “drafty”  to “draftproof” without much thought for the middle ground of “controllably ventilated”, and as for air conditioning, that was years in the future.

So besides side windows which opened to let in fresh air, a lot of front (and some rear) windows also opened to provide a cooling through-draft in high summer, and were fitted both to ordinary cars like this 1930 Model A Ford...

...and distinctly non-ordinary ones like this 1930 (chassis) 1937 (new bodywork) Rolls-Royce Phantom I Riviera Town Car.

That Holtom Aero is a bit unusual in having an opening split-screen, since the all the photos I found for this post show one-piece screens. 

I don’t know the reason for single over split, but it may have been to reduce the number of moving parts because, thanks to gremlins, Murphy’s Law, etc. etc., they always stop moving when it’s most inconvenient. 

Like for instance during a summer downpour which, at freeway speed with stuck-open windows, would let everyone in the car do their laundry simultaneously and fully dressed...
