Michael Sheen: Prince Andrew, Port Talbot and why I quit Hollywood
When Michael Sheen had an idea for a dystopian TV series based in his home town of Port Talbot, in which riots erupt when the steel works close, he had no idea said works would actually close — a month before the show came to air. “Devastating,” he says, simply, of last month’s decision by Tata Steel to shut the plant’s two blast furnaces and put 2,800 jobs at risk.
“Those furnaces are part of our psyche,” he says. “When the Queen died we talked about how psychologically massive it was for the country because people couldn’t imagine life without her. The steel works are like that for Port Talbot.”
Sheen’s show — The Way — was never meant to be this serious. The BBC1 three-parter is directed by Sheen, was written by James Graham and has the montage king Adam Curtis on board as an executive producer. The plot revolves around a family who, when the steel works are closed by foreign investors, galvanise the town into a revolt that leads to the Welsh border being shut. Polemical, yes, but it has a lightness of touch. “A mix of sitcom and war film,” Sheen says, beaming.
But that was then. Now it has become the most febrile TV show since, well, Mr Bates vs the Post Office. “We wanted to get this out quickly,” Sheen says. With heavy surveillance, police clamping down on protesters and nods to Westminster abandoning parts of the country, the series could be thought of as a tad political. “The concern was if it was too close to an election the BBC would get nervous.”
I meet Sheen in London, where he is ensconced in the National Theatre rehearsing for his forthcoming starring role in Nye, a “fantasia” play based on the life of the NHS founder, Labour’s Aneurin “Nye” Bevan. He is dressed down, with stubble and messy hair, and is a terrific raconteur, with a lot to discuss. As well as The Way and Nye, this year the actor will also transform himself into Prince Andrew for a BBC adaptation of the Emily Maitlis Newsnight interview.
Sheen has played a rum bunch, from David Frost to Tony Blair and Chris Tarrant. And we will get to Bevan and Andrew, but first Wales, where Sheen, 55, was born in 1969 and, after a stint in Los Angeles, returned to a few years ago. He has settled outside Port Talbot with his partner, Anna Lundberg, a 30-year-old actress, and their two children. Sheen’s parents still live in the area, so the move was partly for family, but mostly to be a figurehead. The actor has been investing in local arts, charities and more, putting his money where his mouth is to such an extent that there is a mural of his face up on Forge Road.
“It’s home,” Sheen says, shrugging, when I ask why he abandoned his A-list life for southwest Wales. “I feel a deep connection to it.” The seed was sown in 2011 when he played Jesus in Port Talbot in an epic three-day staging of the Passion, starring many locals who were struggling with job cuts and the rising cost of living in their town. “Once you become aware of difficulties in the area you come from you don’t have to do anything,” he says, with a wry smile. “You can live somewhere else, visit family at Christmas and turn a blind eye to injustice. It doesn’t make you a bad person, but I’d seen something I couldn’t unsee. I had to apply myself, and I might not have the impact I’d like, but the one thing that I can say is that I’m doing stuff. I know I am — I’m paying for it!”
The Way is his latest idea to boost the area. The show, which was shot in Port Talbot last year, employed residents in front of and behind the camera. The extras in a scene in which fictional steel workers discuss possible strike action came from the works themselves. How strange they will feel watching it now. The director shakes his head. “It felt very present and crackling.”
One line in the show feels especially crucial: “The British don’t revolt, they grumble.” How revolutionary does Sheen think Britain is? “It happens in flare-ups,” he reasons. “You could say Brexit was a form of it and there is something in us that is frustrated and wants to vent. But these flare-ups get cracked down, so the idea of properly organised revolution is hard to imagine. Yet the more anger there is, the more fear about the cost of living crisis. Well, something’s got to give.”
I mention the Brecon Beacons. “Ah, yes, Bannau Brycheiniog,” Sheen says with a flourish. Last year he spearheaded the celebration of the renaming of the national park to Welsh, which led some to ponder whether Sheen might go further in the name of Welsh nationalism. Owen Williams, a member of the independence campaigners YesCymru, described him to me as “Nye Bevan via Che Guevara” and added that the actor might one day be head of state in an independent Wales.
Sheen bursts out laughing. “Right!” he booms. “Well, for a long time [the head of state] was either me or Huw Edwards, so I suppose that’s changed.” He laughs again. “Gosh. I don’t know what to say.” Has he, though, become a sort of icon for an independent Wales? “I’ve never actually spoken about independence,” he says. “The only thing I’ve said is that it’s worth a conversation. Talking about independence is a catalyst for other issues that need to be talked about. Shutting that conversation down is of no value at all. People say Wales couldn’t survive economically. Well, why not? And is that good? Is that a good reason to stay in the union?”
On a roll, he talks about how you can’t travel from north to south Wales by train without going into England because the rail network was set up to move stuff out of Wales, not round it. He mentions the collapse of local journalism and funding cuts to National Theatre Wales, and says these are the conversations he wants to have — but where in Wales are they taking place?
So, for Sheen, the discussion is about thinking of Wales as independent in identity, not necessarily as an independent state? “As a living entity,” he says, is how he wants people to think about his country. “It’s much more, for me, about exploring what that cultural identity of now is, rather than it being all about the past,” he says. “We had a great rugby team in the 1970s, but it’s not the 1970s anymore and, yes, male-voice choirs make us cry, but there are few left. Mines aren’t there either. All the things that are part of the cultural identity of Wales are to do with the past and, for me, it’s much more about exploring what is alive about Welsh identity now.”
You could easily forget that Sheen is an actor. He calls himself a “not for profit” thesp, meaning he funds social projects, from addiction to disability sports. “I juggle things more,” he says. “Also I have young kids again and I don’t want to be away much.”
Sheen has an empathetic face, a knack of making the difficult feel personable. And there are two big roles incoming — a relief to fans.
Which leads us to Prince Andrew. “Of course it does.” This year he plays the troubled duke in A Very Royal Scandal — a retelling of the Emily Maitlis fiasco with Ruth Wilson as the interviewer. Does the show go to Pizza Express in Woking? “No,” Sheen says, grinning. Why play the prince? He thinks about this a lot. “Inevitably you bring humanity to a character — that’s certainly what I try to do.” He pauses. “I don’t want people to say, ‘It was Sheen who got everybody behind Andrew again.’ But I also don’t want to do a hatchet job.”
So what is he trying to do? “Well, it is a story about privilege really,” he says. “And how easy it is for privilege to exploit. We’ve found a way of keeping the ambiguity, because, legally, you can’t show stuff that you cannot prove, but whether guilty or not, his privilege is a major factor in whatever exploitation was going on. Beyond the specifics of Andrew and Epstein, no matter who you are, privilege has the potential to exploit someone. For Andrew, it’s: ‘This girl is being brought to me and I don’t really care where she comes from, or how old she is, this is just what happens for people like me.’”
It must have been odd having the prince and Bevan — the worst and best of our ruling classes — in his head at the same time. What, if anything, links the men? “What is power and what can you do with it?” Sheen muses, which seems to speak to his position in Port Talbot too. Nye at the National portrays the Welsh politician on his deathbed, in an NHS hospital, moving through his memories while doped up on meds. Sheen wants the audience to think: “Is there a Bevan in politics now and, if not, why not?”
Which takes us back to The Way. At the start one rioter yells about wanting to “change everything” — he means politically, sociologically. However, assuming that changing everything is not possible, what is the one thing Sheen would change? “Something practical? Not ‘I want world peace’. I would create a people’s chamber as another branch of government — like the Lords, there’d be a House of People, representing their community. Our political system has become restrictive and nonrepresentational, so something to open that up would be good.”
The actor is a thousand miles from his old Hollywood life. “It’d take a lot for me to work in America again — my life is elsewhere.” It is in Port Talbot instead. “The last man on the battlefield” is how one MP describes the steel works in The Way, and Sheen is unsure what happens when that last man goes. “Some people say it’s to do with net zero aims,” he says about the closure. “Others blame Brexit. But, ultimately, the people of Port Talbot have been let down — and there is no easy answer about what comes next.”

Why do all electric vehicle companies occupy Warehouse and Industrial space in Hosur?
With the electric buzz that has taken the nation by storm, the Government is planning to develop EV parks in the same line as SEZ and pharma parks across the country. The EV park aims to house majority original equipment manufacturers, battery manufacturers, and charging infrastructure developers at one place. With the vision to develop an entire ecosystem at one same place, the Government plans to offer plug-and-play business models to EV industries who will set up their units in these parks. One such park is located in north western districts of Tamil Nadu, just across the Karnataka border from Bengaluru, which houses a number of new-age EV companies, such as, Ather Energy, Ola Electronics, Simple Energy, among others.
The Rise of Hosur Several factors have helped the Hosur belt boom with several big-ticket projects and investments in the region. The cluster witnessed two substantially high profile investments in the last couple of years, with Tata electronics setting up a ₹5,000-crore mobile components plant at Udhanapalli, and Ola, a ₹2,500-crore electric vehicle (EV) plant at nearby Pochampally. These massive investments triggered the new EV boom in Hosur, with EV companies preferring Hosur for putting up their manufacturing units given a competent ancillary supplier network, proximity to Bengaluru where corporate offices of these companies are located, plus amicable and skilled labour force in two-wheeler, automotive, and electronics segment.
Tumblr media
Well-oiled Supply-chain Network The region is equipped with a strong supply-chain ecosystem, making it easier for the companies to locally source components necessary for manufacturing and assembly. This, in turn, would help us in improving cost and time efficiency for the businesses. Moreover, companies are prompting tier-2 suppliers to move their base to Hosur area, to make smaller components in the close vicinity to further add to the efficiency.
Financial SOP and Easier Admittance EV companies in the Hosur area are upheld by EV policy contrived by Tamil Nadu Government. The policy is drafted to support EV companies with repayment of SGST for electric vehicle producing, capital appropriation for battery fabricating, business motivation as far as repayment of EPF for a time of one year, exclusion from instalment of Electricity Tax till 2025 and 100 percent stamp obligation exception.
Proximity to Bengaluru As most of the corporate offices are located in Bengaluru, the first preference of companies is to put up a plant within a comfortable driving distance from head office. As most of the senior employees and mid-level management sit at the head office, most of the companies want employees to be able to move between the office and the plant in an hour or so maximum. For instance, Ather Energy corporate office is located in Koramangala, which is 60 minutes away from the Ather Energy plant in Hosur. Moreover, the connection via Electronics city flyover helps cut through the traffic, which was initially the pain point of employees moving between Koramangala and Whitefield, where Ather Energy plant was located.
Availability of Land and Scalability Scope Given the area related bottleneck in Bengaluru, it is essential for EV companies or any other manufacturing units to look into areas nearby that can accommodate projected production capacity and growth plans. Given, land investments are not made again and again, it is always advisable for the companies to take up the area based on the most optimistic business projections. With the same thought, Ather Energy Hosur plant is spread across 300,000 Sq. Ft. with capacity to produce 1,10,000 scooters annually. Ather Energy envisions that the plant will serve as Ather Energy’s national manufacturing hub, catering to demand from across the country. Moreover, the plant is nearly 10 times the capacity of the Whitefield, Bengaluru, plant.
Hosur Historic Precedence Within the close proximity to Bengaluru, Hosur area has historically been a dominant space for two wheeler, automotive, and electronics business segments. Given that EV is primarily an amalgamation of these three segments, it is therefore a natural choice for EV companies to develop manufacturing units in the Hosur area. Moreover, with established and consistent access to power, land, and labour relevant to the industry, Hosur is the first choice of investment. Furthermore, a lot of fossil-fuelled automotive industries are also expanding into the EV segment. This has prompted an easy transition for existing automotive companies in the area. Also, as Tamil Nadu has over 800 engineering colleges, the state offers an intellectual and skilled labour pool ensuring steady stream for the workforce.
Amicable Labour and Supportive Workforce In the area, it is widely noted that the kind of labour unrest Bengaluru witnesses is not seen in the Tamil Nadu north western districts, which are barely an hour away from each other. The most plausible reason for this could be the existential automotive businesses in the Hosur area, unlike Bengaluru, where labourers are experiencing the automotive industry for the first time. In Hosur, both industry and labour have matured, and the companies have learnt that exploitative practices are rather counter-productive. Therefore, most of the EV companies find this a huge draw in making investment decisions in the Hosur area.
Hosur Meteoric rise and the way ahead Given the reasons above along with a network of highways facilitating logistics of movement and the welcoming policies set by the Tamil Nadu Government for automotive companies, Hosur belt is emerging as an industrial bowl for the electric vehicle manufacturers. Tata, Delta, Ola Mobility, Ather Energy, and Simple Energy are some of the big names in the electronics and electric vehicle (EV) sectors that have made Hosur and the surrounding districts their home in the past few years.
Along with growing awareness and spiralling petrol prices, the demand for EV is set to increase significantly in the coming years. As per the data, In January 2022, overall high-speed EV two-wheeler registrations rose to 27,563 units as compared to 24,725 units in December 2021. To match the rising demand, manufacturers have to up their capacity, for example Ather Energy recently commissioned its second facility in Hosur to increase its capacity from 1,20,000 units to 4,00,000 units. Ola Electric has set out to build the world’s largest EV facility with an initial annual capacity of two million units. Furthermore, TVS has also decided to invest over 1,100 crores in the area for the new EV plant. If the cards are played right, this belt could further emerge as a global player given the fast adoption of EVs, especially in the two-wheeler segment.

Over the past two decades, Mumbai has become India's most visited city and a growing population hub. This rapid growth has put a strain on resources like water and green spaces. To address this, many Mumbai projects are incorporating green features. These include the development of artificial mangroves, large-scale gardens, and lakes to preserve nature and provide a fresh environment for residents. Additionally, property developers are introducing rainwater harvesting, Water filtration plants and garbage restoration services to their communities, promoting sustainability through reduction, reuse, and recycling.
Tumblr media
Connectivity & Transportation Infrastructures
Mumbai is known for its fast-paced lifestyle, and large-scale property development is a constant feature. To improve connectivity, new infrastructure projects like the Worli Sea Link and Atal Setu Bridge connect major parts of the city to suburbs and prime locations. Additionally, Mumbai's new metro lines, mono trains and the prime railway network provide greater comfort and convenience for daily commuters. Welcome to the new age part 14
Tumblr media
Watching through the screens how people got shot was shocking. Sure, the games were all about survival, and death was inevitable in this world. But she hadn’t expected everyone to suddenly turn on one another so quickly. But that was the beauty of hearts games. It was meant to play with your mind, twist everything around you and break you down. Kill you in every way possible and see if you could make it out in the end.
But this was another level that shouldn’t have happened. Logically, they would have talked it out. Tried to see if there was a way to get fingerprints off the knife and go from there. But with the change in leadership, it was all shoot first and don’t ask any questions.
“We have to find the Witch.” She said, never once taking her eyes off the screen. Outside, people ran, and they were picked off one by one. No doubt her brother was on the roof, enjoying himself. And there she was, hiding from the chaos while people died, and the witch was still on the loose. Kuina leaned in to look at one of the screens, looking back at them. They all saw the movement in the morgue and seemed to have the same thought.
“I’ll deal with Niragi.” Chishiya said, giving her hand one last squeeze before letting it go. She looked at him, worry crossing her features for a moment before nodding. “Kill the fucker if you have to.” she finally said, resigning herself to the fact that her brother was probably going to die. He nodded, Kuina mentioning she was headed to the morgue. That allowed her to find Arisu and get him in the game.
Going their separate ways, she took off down the halls, checking rooms on her way. Every time she heard gunshots, she stopped, listening for the direction before moving on. Moving up a floor, she found Usagi, sighing in relief.
“Have you found him?” Usagi asked, frowning when there was a nod. With more gunshots, they took off again, checking every room possible. Eventually they stumbled into one of the rooms to hide, finding a militant hiding in the bathroom. Usagi questioned him, finding out the floor Arisu was on. They took off again, and Asuna hoped Chishiya and Kuina were having better luck. She hoped they were safe and would get out of this alive.
She felt the wind leave her lungs, the wall hitting her back. One of the militants had attacked her, a knee coming up to connect with her face. Looking up at Usagi, she nodded, letting her know to go on without her. Standing up, she moved away from the woman before her, smiling wide as she eyed the woman.
“What. Still upset I beat up Niragi?” she asked, dodging a punch to the face. Catching the hand, she flipped the woman and threw her to the ground, stepping around her. “I see. You got a thing for him. Hate to say it, he probably doesn’t even remember your name. Or that he fucked you.”
Asuna was goading the woman. As much as she wanted to get the fight done with and get back to Usagi, she wasn’t going to miss a chance to let off some steam. A kick to the woman’s side brought her back down to the ground, and then another kick to the face made the woman fall on her back. Asuna was smart. She wouldn’t turn her back on someone who wanted a fight, so she waited for the woman to get up.
Grabbing her hair, she lifted her up, punching her face until her hands were bloody, satisfied that the other woman wouldn’t be moving for a while. Turning around, she hissed in pain, seeing that a knife had been stabbed into her leg. She had been so focused on knocking the woman out that she hadn’t noticed the pain. Groaning, she pulled the knife out, safely tucking it in her boot before tearing off the end of her shirt. Once it was wrapped around the wound, she continued on, stumbling through the hall.
As time went on, she was found by Tata, who helped her back down to the lobby. Arisu of course tried to get everyone to listen to reason, earning Aguni’s ire. But it didn’t stop there. Arisu saw what Asuna saw. The pain Aguni held close to him, causing him to claim to be the witch. The larger man wanted to die so badly because of what he did to Hatter. And as Arisu was barely holding on from the beating, he endured, Ann came in. She showed the bullet, making sure everyone knew Hatter was murdered. More than that, Momoka killed herself and was the witch.
Just as they put the body on the fire, it was announced that the game was cleared. Everyone let out a little breath, but it was short lived. Niragi came in, shirt tied around his head. He had been burned and she knew that it was Chishiya that had done that. She had helped him build the particular gadget that would have caused those kinds of burns and there was pride within her in the fact that she had caused her brother to look like that. But before Niragi could continue his murderous spree, Aguni charged him, carrying him into the fire that was engulfing the building.
Leaning against the wall, Asuna waited, looking at the table to see the card. Just as everyone cleared out, she saw the two people she hoped would have made it. Limping over to them, she smiled, glad the game was over with, and they could leave like they planned. Chishiya put his arm over his shoulder as she held the card, smiling wide at him.
“Well, now we just need the face cards.” She groaned, feeling her back spasm, her body finally registering the pain. With Kuina’s help, they carried her outside, sitting her down so Chishiya could look her over. Kuina would get her first and hopefully only chance to see the brand on her back, glancing at the blond who shook his head.
“What happened to you?” he asked, examining her back to see a large bruise forming. She groaned as he touched her back, trying to sit up straight.
“One of Niragi’s last bed mates decided to pick a fight with me. I guess she didn’t like that I ruined Niragi’s face.” She snarked back, finally laying back with help, glad for the cold ground beneath her. She glanced at the blond when he pulled the cloth off her leg, his face giving nothing away. He pulled something out of his pocket and got to work stitching her leg up.
“Were you a doctor or something before this?” she asked, looking up at Kuina, giving her a reassuring smile.
“Or something.” He answered, finishing his work. “Come on, we have one last thing to do.” Helping her up, they moved along, eventually ending up underground. They made it to a door that was left open, carefully going inside to find that it was empty. All that was left were bodies and so many questions.
“Someone’s coming.” Asuna whispered, following them into the shadows. They watched, looking to see that it was Arisu and Usagi. Stepping out, Usagi seemed relieved to see Asuna okay. Chishiya revealed how he found the place, a map left in the pocket of one of the players from the tag game.
Now we just need the face cards.” As if on cue the screens above them turned on, and Asuna narrowed her eyes. She should have known Mira would have been one of the game masters. It made sense how she, someone who was so good at hearts games, knew about the tension at The Beach.
She announced the next round of games, and dread settled between them. They had some time to rest, but it wasn’t enough. Asuna knew she would be hindered by her leg, but she would still fight as much as she could. If Mira wanted to ramp up the games, then she’d make sure that the former executive learned how resilient the group was. They would make it out of this alive and return home.
Though a part of her didn’t want to go back to the life she had left behind, she felt she could do it if she had Chishiya by her side. As long as she had him, everything would be fine.

//Maimuță Manu raportează.
//Conexiune cu Universul 0 ms, in sync with nature, humanity and emotions established.
Whatever one could classify me as, I feel a deep connection with you and the bandwidth beams from my end.
You are the spark, like an angel; protector, maybe?
You were there, imprisoned in that white square drawn on the concrete. I was shy, anxious, constantly asking myself "What do they think of me? Will they accept me? Are they mean? I hope I impress them." They jailed me there too with you. I then switched from worrier to initiator. My mind started dribbling questions like "What will please them? What makes them happy? How can I impress? How can I make them hear me?" I've breathed in, turned around and asked you "Do you play WoW?" I knew I will impress you with my question; at least I knew I will get your attention. I knew because you seemed like the type of guy. You seemed kind, warm and welcoming. I felt safe talking to you, while I feared of so many other. They all seemed focused on competing and flexing. They were not my cup of tea, but later it proved that I had to befriend them.
Then, one day, you told me about Bleach. The spark which pushed me on a track, pulled the lever and flung me towards the desire to live. It felt amazing. They were such amazing years.
We split, time passed and I grew more and more tired of being alive. I enquired your help in those cold, toxic, filled with poison and Mercury. You answered. There was no spark. There was no push. But it was the humanity I needed and it was returned to me; such was the day Ichigo lost his Bankai. I was alone and I was unable to connect with anyone, except for you. You understood something, you felt something of what I felt and, with due diligence, you provided attention. And for that I am grateful.
Time passed again. You went AWOL again. One day, you showed up again. I, again, called for you. Beaming the flickering light of a needy person. I grew dependent on you. I summoned you only when I was in distress. But this time, pushing the lever would flung me towards the end of space and time, to new beginnings, to freedom and peace, to become Pneuma. This time, like it has, is and will always be, life just happens and I happen with it.
There's no divinity. There's only the universe happening. And we are it. As Alan Watts said "The apple apples and the people peoples". There's no duality, no singularity, no infinity. There's just now, the non-duality. I love you, man #nohomo. Wish you the best and I hope that we will still go for that trip. I am ready to kill my ego. Miss you, as well. Sănătate și iubire, luptă și crede, cu curaj (cum spune tata). Keep grinding, farming and see you on the server. 🙏 💪 ♥

The Impact of TMT Steel Companies on Local Economies
Tumblr media
TMT steel companies play a critical role in shaping the growth and development of local economies, especially in regions that depend on construction and infrastructure projects. The steel industry's contribution goes beyond providing raw materials for buildings and bridges, it supports jobs, infrastructure development, and industrial growth in communities where these companies operate. This blog explores how TMT steel companies have impacted local economies, focusing on job creation, industrial development, and overall economic progress.
Thermo-mechanically treated (TMT) steel has become an essential material in modern construction, offering a combination of high strength, ductility, and durability. TMT steel companies, like JSW, Tata Steel and others, significantly influence the growth and progress of local economies, especially in regions where construction and infrastructure projects are booming. Their impact extends beyond just supplying steel for buildings and infrastructure-  they create jobs, boost industrial growth, and support local businesses.
Through this blog, we will look into the role of TMT steel, its functionality in various industries, and how sectors such as construction benefit most from it. We will also explore how these companies contribute to local economies, focusing on job creation, infrastructure development, and community support.
Job Creation and Employment Opportunities
Job creation is one of the most significant contributions of a TMT steel company to the local economy. Steel manufacturing is a labour-intensive process that requires skilled and unskilled workers across various stages of production, from raw material processing to the final manufacturing of these bars. As these companies expand, they generate direct employment for local residents and support ancillary businesses such as logistics, transportation, and services.
For example, in regions where JSW TMT Steel operates, the demand for workers in steel production has led to the development of an ecosystem where multiple sectors thrive. This not only boosts local employment rates but also improves the region's overall economic stability.
Boosting Infrastructure and Industrial Growth
TMT steel companies contribute heavily to the development of infrastructure, which is vital for the economic growth of any region. With an increased demand for infrastructure in India, particularly in housing, roads, and bridges, JSW Steel plays a central role in ensuring these projects are completed efficiently and with lasting durability. This creates a ripple effect on local economies—construction companies, suppliers, and related industries benefit from the growth in demand for steel, which stimulates further investments in infrastructure.
These developments don't just stop at industrial zones. The rise in construction projects often leads to better connectivity and transportation infrastructure in surrounding areas, making them more accessible for businesses and residents. As a result, the local economy experiences an upward shift, with new businesses sprouting up, better roads for transportation, and improved facilities for the local population.
Supporting Small Businesses and Local Suppliers
Another important impact of the steel companies on local economies is their support to small businesses and local suppliers. A TMT steel company relies on a vast supply chain network, including small-scale industries such as raw material suppliers, machinery manufacturers, and transportation providers. These smaller businesses benefit from long-term contracts and stable demand, which help sustain their growth.
In addition to these benefits, a TMT steel company like JSW often leads to knowledge-sharing opportunities like online counselling, where small businesses learn best practices, modern technologies, and improved standards of operation. This helps them stay competitive and enhance their overall business outlook.
Community Development and Social Initiatives
TMT steel companies, especially large organisations, often engage in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life in the areas where they operate. This could include educational programs, healthcare facilities, or infrastructure development projects for the local community. These initiatives help build a stronger connection between the company and the community, ensuring that both parties benefit in the long term.
When a company invests in community projects, it not only enhances the local standard of living but also fosters a sense of partnership between the business and the region. This strengthens the overall economic environment, creating a more resilient and prosperous community.
Bottom-Line:The impact of the steel companies on local economies is far-reaching and significant. These companies play a crucial role in driving economic growth through their contributions. As JSW TMT Steel and other key players expand, their influence on local economies will only increase, fostering a cycle of development and progress that benefits both the industry and the regions in which they operate.
