It might be because I’m absolutely ripped off my tits, but Greg is in such a delightful mood in s10ep7.

Especially the double chicken robot swap task. Idk why but his entire response to that task makes this one of my favourite episodes of the whole series.

I've not been checking these much after after posting them, so I hadn't seen how it ended but I just went and looked - How??? I thought it was going to be so close on that one? I thought there'd be like a 3-4 way tie, but he had almost double Lou?? And she had almost double sian?? I'm confuzzled

Season 10 is so good but god is it a matter of context. They’re all fresh out of covid. They’re all feeling post lock down mania. They still can’t get close to each other. They’re all TERRIBLE. JUST SO SO SHIT. Truly the fail king of seasons. I first watched it when it came out and was like oh yeah, good to know it’s not just me feeling like this. It’s not my favourite season but it’s so so special to me.

Unpopular opinion: I get quite annoyed at all the hate Daisy May Cooper gets for Taskmaster. She was pretty fun throughout and the stuff with Richard wasn't as bad as people make it out to be, Ed Gamble or even Acaster sometimes have said things far more hostile and I really think that being the first series without a studio audience just had everyone on edge a little more than usual.

I haven't seen much hate towards her but I really don't get it. She was such a funny contestant, and I would have loved it if she had won. Her and Herring are one if my favourite teams because they were so chaotic, they worked. Just think of all the funny moments they gave (together and apart), like Hippogate, and Daisy physically recoiling from Herring at their first meeting.

I think her rage and hostility fitted the vibe of the series. I agree that other contestants have said stuff similarly/more hostile than her and people liked it or found it funny.

I stand by the fact that S10 was exactly what we needed at the time of broadcast - mid pandemic, when the UK was either in lockdown, or not far off one (I can't remember the time frame at this point). No, it wasn't perfect, I get why people don't like the series as a whole, and the lack of studio audience was so weird, but people need to calm down on it.
