10 December 2023 Book Releases To Preorder Now
It’s hard to believe it’s already the last month of 2023! There’s so many incredible books coming out this month, and I’m excited to share some of my favorites here with you. Due to the ongoing St. Martin’s Griffin boycott, books by that imprint are not included on this list and will not be until they take accountability for their employee’s racist actions and the company’s discriminatory early…

What I read in February
Just the Nicest Couple by Mary Kubica was my first read of the month and was an extremely messed up murder mystery. The “victim” was not that great of a human and as the book went on, you hardly felt bad he was dead, but what really happened? More than one person is an awful person in this book. This was not top tier, mostly meh. Second book of the month, The Weekend Retreat by Tara Laskowski.…

The Mother Next Door by Tara Laskowski keeps me guessing until the end. I do not see the twist until it arrives, and then it makes perfect sense. The ending, though disturbing and "wrong" on so many levels, also makes sense. What makes this book is the ordinary suburban setting. The setup, the group, the situation, and the story rings true. As such, it reads more like drama than thriller but one that I eagerly follow along on until the last page.

BOOKS!
So I’ve recently found my love of books.  It started with audio books...and then reading while on the treadmill (giant ipad, big print).
