"I can read your fortune," Rumpleteazer said, holding up three tarot cards with an impish look in her eye. "It says you're a nerd."

"Does not!" Tantomile laughed and reached for the cards, but she pulled them deftly out of reach.

"Does too, right here. I thought it was quite rude to say, but I guess the cards are always right." She laid them out on the table between them — the Fool, the Lovers, the High Priestess — and folded her arms smugly.

Tantomile felt a slight blush across her cheeks as she examined the cards. "It says nothing of the sort. Here: the fool represents someone who's unaware of what's going on around them, but is all the happier for it. The- uh, high priestess, she's someone who's mystical, but closed off emotionally. And as for the lovers — well, that's self-explanatory."

Teazer was now sporting quite the Cheshire grin. "Sounds like two cats I know. One of whom is a complete nerd about tarot."

"Well, that's the thing about tarot. It always has a way of reflecting reality." She couldn't help but melt at Teazer's told-you-so expression, giggling as she picked up the cards and put them away.

"Or maybe this fool knows a thing or two about stacking the deck."

this took long cause I don't usually ship Tantomile with anyone so I had to work my brain to come up with things.

Her with Coricopat or Cassandra, because I see them all as related.

My BROTP for them

Coricopat!!! but also I've been thinking about Tantomima and Tantomile being friends with Jemima since I've heard some headcanons floating around about Jemima potentially having some sort of powers, and like just imagine her trying to keep it a secret. she's scared, ashamed even, her having powers just makes her more similar to her dad and that's the last person she wants to be similar to. but cori and tanto know she has them cause well their psychics and guiding her through it. imagine Tantomile being a sort of mentor for Jemima. them bounding cause they're both out of the ordinary and Jemima is worried about making her friends afraid of her and tantomile knows the feeling of being feared or looked at with caution all too well. There's alot of potential there is what i'm trying to say.

My OTP for them 

I'm slowly getting brainwashed into the tantoteazer agenda and quite frankly no objections they're cute.

My second choice pairing for them 

mmmmmmm I'm not sure if I have a definitive one but I've seen some Tantometer on my dashboard and I'm intrigued.

Hmm...perhaps also 2019 Mungomile? Tantojerrie ? Idk the name but like imagine the drama after the whole Jellicle ball. Does Tantomile question her loyalty to him and whether she wants to continue their relationship or does she have to consider how his involvement with Macavity and actively working with him (during Macavity's number) impacts the other cats she cares about??? Does Mungojerrie feel overly remorseful?

Ooh good question!! Similar though they are to their twins, they are still individuals.

So with our catbuglars, I think Jerrie is better at planning ahead and between the two of them is the "idea" guy, while Teazer thrives more in the chaos of the moment. Jerrie is slick and subtle, and Teazer is blundering and impulsive. She follows her gut instinct and while she might not make the most efficient choices, she doesn't deliberate when a snap decision needs to be made, which can be Jerrie's pitfall when the plan inevitably goes South.

But they are both mischievous gremlins who hold nothing sacred and are mostly out here just trying to have a good time, sometimes at the expense of others. They have similar taste, and they both value independence. Just maybe not from eachother (at first).

As for Tantomile vs Coricopat, I think their differences are more subtle--it's harder to tell where one ends and the other begins. Because I think to the two of them, they may as well be the same cat split between two bodies. They get called "CoricopatandTantomile" in one amalgamated identity by all the rest of the tribe, and when rarely seen apart, are constantly mistaken for eachother. They do not mind this and both will really answer to either name when alone.

I think their differences really come down to small things--Tantomile's favorite color is yellow and Coricopat's is purple. Tantomile likes listening to the rain, but that sound bothers Coricopat. Tantomile likes queens, and Coricopat doesn't.

I think it would take Tantomile spending time away from Coricopat to become more fully realized individual, I think. She definitely has weirder, more mystical stuff going on than Rumpleteazer for sure.

At first I thought coricojerrie and tantoteazer were copy-pastes of each other and kinda lazy, just like “oh they’re the two twin pairs let’s ship them” but now. I think I get it. The dynamics are pretty fun, and it’s kind of helped me realize how I personally distinguish Jerrie from Teazer and Cori from Tanto respectively, cause the ships themselves feel really different to me. They’re not quite up there among my favorite ships but I do like them
