Since I have caught up with the entire series thus far I would like to provide some commentary in the form of incorrect quotes.

Skulduggery Pleasant Books 1-16, basically:

Thought of the Day: Perseverance and silence are the highest virtues

Thinking about why Godfrey stands so loyally with Marika, pretty much never faltering. I wonder if he was there from the very beginning of her ascendance. If we compare hers and Miquella's scenes, Miquella's godhood begins with Radahn right there. His elevation to a lord happens with Miquella's godhood together. Could Godfrey have helped Marika sacrifice those bodies at the Gate of Divinity? It's such a bloody and visceral scene, and the fight with Hoarah Loux is a close reflection of that. Godfrey never wavers at the tasks Marika sets him on; he accepts the sap of the Erd Tree stoically. Even in the Land of Shadow, his influence is felt greatly. Could Godfrey have truly loved Marika? Relationships in this game are very skewed, but all these acts of service for her, giving up his twin sons, returning to the foot of the Erd Tree. Makes me really wonder.

and then more famously the Paso CD from 2009 Worlds- kind of thrilling to see despite it being that difficult first surgery season how much they grew in the few years between the two performances- in speed, character, extension, ice coverage

though they were pretty great that 2005-6 season- they won every Jr event they entered including Worlds and won bronze at Senior Nationals and at 4CC (!!) they did the full pattern 3 times in the CD- the PSt for this season’s RDs will use less than half the original steps for one pattern, with the middle being whatever they choose, as long as they do 3 difficult turns

I am very fond of Ghastly, but I think ten year old me would be eternally disappointed if I didn't say Tanith
