Which BL Couple do you want to see in a Sequel?

And not just a cameo or an Our Skyy 2-episode arc.

HIStory 3: Trapped (2019, above) - I want to keep seeing how their relationship works as their morals clash.

Bad Buddy (2021) - I know we risk ruining a good thing and that we got the Our Skyy episodes, but I could watch more of these two as they learn to nurture their relationship in spite of the negativity surrounding them.

Not Me (2021) - There is SO much that can be done in this universe with these twin rebel characters. They should absolutely revive it as LGBTQIA legislation and police corruption evolves in Thailand.

Love is Science? (2021, above) - I could watch 12 whole episodes of Ou Wen learning to trust playboy bi Mark.

Semantic Error (2022, top) - Park Seoham returns from military service later this year, but IDK. I feel like there's not much else to explore here. Loved every minute of it though.

KinnPorsche (2022) - This is another couple that I feel ran its course. I would sooner watch a spinoff of Kim and Chay, even though I think Jeff Satur is more interested in music these days, because I need to know if Kim loved Chay or if he just pitied him. Plus, Kim is next-gen mob boss and I'd love to see it. And while I did enjoy Pete & Vegas, it appears we are still up in the air about whether the actor who played Pete...is a piece of sh*t. What a plot twist?

Love in the Air (2022) - Both couples contributed some of the best sex scenes to BL history, but I doubt there's more story to tell.

The Eighth Sense (2023) - They fucked me all the way up. 😭 Made To My Star 2 seem like a cake walk. I need a sequel just to know where this is going.

Waking Up, Together Again

Tang Yi wakes up warm for only the fifth time in as many years, and for some reason it hits him all at once: he is free, now. Free, and wrapped up in Shao Fei’s arms, with a pleasant ache and tiredness in his muscles, a lingering buzz of arousal that still manages to catch him by surprise – they’ve done little else since his release than relearn each other’s bodies, alternating between desperate, hungry sex, and slow deliberate love making, it’s almost absurd that he’s even thinking about another round.

But then, Shao Fei stirs behind him, his arms tightening around Tang Yi and pulling him impossibly closer as he nuzzles his face into the back of his neck, a long, content hum and a tease of warm breath making Tang Yi shiver. Shao Fei presses a lazy grin into Tang Yi’s shoulder and then follows it with a long kiss to his shoulder blade. 

“Good morning,” Shao Fei mumbles, trailing kisses lazily where he can easily reach without moving more than an inch away from Tang Yi. 

“Morning,” he replies, wriggling until Shao Fei relaxes his grip enough for Tang Yi to turn in the circle of his arms. He brushes some hair away from Shao Fei’s beloved face, not bothering to restrain his smile at the mess on top of his head, or the pillow creases on his cheek. He wants to wake up to this same face every day for the rest of his life. Tang Yi settles his hand on Shao Fei’s cheek and runs his thumb along his cheek, eyes moving over his features as though he needs to memorize them (not that he could ever forget the curve of his lips, or the slope of his nose, or the length of his eyelashes; five years apart, only seeing each other through glass, and not a single detail forgotten or softened). 

When Shao Fei smiles at him, placing his hand atop Tang Yi’s and turning to kiss his palm, the only thing to do is say “I love you” and lean in to place a mostly-chaste kiss against his mouth, laughing into it when Shao Fei pulls him back in a deepens it.

They part, but stay close, noses almost touching on the pillow they’re now sharing. “So, what do you think about getting out of bed for more than ten minutes today?” Shao Fei asks, and even though a moment ago he had been thinking that they ought to do just that, with his lips still tingling from that kiss, and a whole naked boyfriend right there in his arms, he is suddenly rethinking the idea.

“Hmm,” he hedges, wrapping his arm around Shao Fei’s back and tracing absently at the soft skin under his fingertips. “That depends. What did you have in mind for this excursion?” he teases, walking his fingers over Shao Fei’s hip where the blanket has slipped almost entirely off, a little curious, but mostly hoping to push Shao Fei into making the exasperated face he makes when he finds Tang Yi’s stubbornness endearing against his own will. Shao Fei rolls his eyes ever so slightly, and Tang Yi nearly crows in victory.

“I miss cooking together,” he says quietly, and a startling wave of affection washes over Tang Yi; the times he wished for those moments in his kitchen together in the years they were apart too many to count, and the longing he felt then slams into him all at once, his grip on Shao Fei’s hip suddenly firm, needing to remind himself thi isn’t an elaborate dream. “I thought we could make breakfast.”

The smile Shao Fei shows him now isn’t shy, despite the careful way he’s speaking, and the adoration and assuredness in it warms Tang Yi all the way through, his hand relaxing to slip around Shao Fei’s back once again, nudging him closer still. “Nothing would make me happier today.”

Shao Fei grins and rolls on top of Tang Yi, and it takes them another half hour plus a shower to make it to the kitchen, but neither of them regret it.

Day 14 - Top 5 most sad boys

Tang Yi (History 3: Trapped)

There’s nothing I love more than a bad boy who’s actually just a wounded little puppy in need of a cuddle. Abused child, adopted son of a mafia boss, forced to lead because his adopted father was shot, living a life of vengeance ever since, oh life has been so cruel to him. But then Tang Yi meets Shao Fei, who is a combination of a golden retriever and a box of fireworks and somehow, against every single rational thought screaming this is a bad idea!!! He falls in love with this chaotic ball of sunshine. And my sad boy finds a safe person that holds him in his sadness and tells him everything will be okay. He finds tenderness and warmth in a man he once saw as an enemy and it’s still sad but it’s like a sadness mingled with happiness. It’s bittersweet. The circumstances are still harsh and sad, but Tang Yi has found his shelter in the storm in the form of Meng Shao Fei.

Akk (The Eclipse)

There is something so heartbreaking and raw about Akk’s struggles, the way he seems to be carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, so terrified of letting anyone down, of letting anyone in. He has a hollowness in his chest, an ache in his bones, a terror creeping in that he’s not right and he desperately needs to do everything possible to make sure everyone thinks he’s normal. I adore The Eclipse series but the first time I watched it I found it quite triggering because I saw so much of my teenage self in Akk. It is a testament to the acting ability of First that he was able to so accurately and painfully portray the struggle of a queer teenager trapped inside themselves.

Kim Dong Hui (The Time of Fever)

Turns out I’m drawn to repressed characters desperately struggling with their identity, suffocating in shame and guilt, torn between their heart and desires and what they feel they have to do according to the demands of society and their community. HMMMM I WONDER WHY. The Time of Fever broke my heart and took my breath away, the way it depicted the pining, the longing, the hidden glances, the hope and the guilt and the breathless desire of the queer teenage experience was painfully sublime. And to be honest, Dong Hui and Ho Tae should both be here because they’re two parts of a whole heart, two boys who just need a hug.

Kenta (Pit Babe)

Kenta was either kidnapped from his birth family or sold by his birth parents into Tony’s crazy alpha children’s farm, abused and neglected his entire childhood and basically trained to be a guard dog and the saddest thing is he still clings to Tony and does everything he tells him to do because Kenta believes that his dad, despite everything, still loves him. When Tony rejects him completely, Kenta’s entire world implodes. Who is he without Tony? In one sentence Tony basically destroys this man’s entire life and identity. What’s the term… justifiable homicide? Yeah, Kenta did that. I got no qualms.

Hira (My Beautiful Man)

Hira is such a a tragic figure because he is someone that truly doesn’t believe he has anything of value to offer the world. It’s almost painful watching him because it’s so hard to see someone think so little of themselves. I just wanna give this dude a hug and the number of a good therapist!!!!
