Tamu Lhosar is a new year festival of Gurung people. It is celebrated on every 15th Poush of the Nepali calendar. Various creatures (garuda, serpent, horse, sheep, monkey, bird, dog, deer, mouse, cow, tiger and cat) represents the years within a 12 years' cycle. This year its CAT!
