I’ve got quite a few items from when I was little. The oldest though are probably my Baptism bracelet (it’s tiny) and a big green dinosaur I used to play with and hop around the carpet on like a horse. 🤣 He’s over 30 years old. Some things I’ve got, which aren’t as old are: my TalkGirl (the thing Kevin used in Home Alone 2), my original Walkman, a lot of my Disney VHSs and a magazine collection from a show called Animals of Farthing Wood which I watched in the early 90’s.

I absolutely love rock, instrumentals and 80’s music. It always helps me keep in a good mood and not slither down the slippery slope of negativity.

I’m not a fan of spicy food at all. Not my thing.

Makeste... Talkboys do/did exist. (There was also a "talkgirl" version. Which was just the regular Talkboy but PINK CUZ GIRLZ.) I still have one shoved in my closet somewhere. I actually used mine for a school project once cause I needed to pitch shift my voice to pretend to be different characters on a fictional radio show.

true, anon, there was indeed a toy called the Talkboy, which I believe was created specifically because of the movie. however -- and I admittedly am basing this solely off of memories of my ten-year-old self playing with my cousin’s (because he got one for Christmas and I did not. first world problems!! though later on I did get the much cooler pen version so suck it Ryan!!) -- as far as I’m concerned that shit was nothing more than a glorified Walkman. no more worthy of being called a Talkboy than a toy Infinity Gauntlet would be worthy of being called the real deal. listen, the audio on Kevin’s Talkboy was on a whole nother level. ten-year-old me did not realize that in real life, a child’s voice played back in grainy slow-mo would not in fact sound convincing enough to persuade a five-star hotel to accept your credit card for a room reservation. in fact IIRC it was barely intelligible at all. anyways that movie taught me so much about expectations vs reality. definitely a formulative experience, which as you can see has remained with me all these years later, just waiting to be randomly referenced in the tags of a reblogged BnHA post.
