#Tales of Graces f Remastered

Tales of Graces f Remastered has just been announced for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One/Series X and for PC via STEAM!

The game will be released for the West on January 17, 2025, a day after the Japanese release. Check more here! The remaster features enhanced visuals and gameplay, including the ability to switch enemy encounters on and off, a skip button, an auto-save feature, early unlocking of the Grade Shop, inclusion of the original DLCs from the original games, as well as the Lineage and Legacies after story. The official announcement also mentions "and newly localised scenes that will be available in English for the very first time". A Digital Deluxe Edition and pre-orders have been announced. According to the Japanese announcement, the game is but a part of the "various initiatives" planned for the Tales of Series 30th Anniversary. A message from Tales of Series General Producer Yusuke Tomizawa was also released. This hopefully means we're getting even more remasters, or possibly a new game, for this anniversary! We've yet to see anything on the previously allegedly leaked Tales of Xillia Remastered from online stores.

Bandai Namco has announced Tales of Graces f Remastered for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (Steam). It will launch on January 17, 2025.

In Tales of Graces f Remastered, players will follow the adventures of Asbel and his friends as they embark on a world-spanning adventure filled with unforgettable characters, shocking revelations, and unique companions brought together through promises made across time. The title is set in the world of Ephinea, a planet blessed with abundant greenery. The world is ruled by three great nations, each with the power of Eleth. Tales of Graces f Remastered is a remastered version of Tales of Graces f released in 2010 featuring quality of life improvements and additions, downloadable content from the original version and newly localized scenes that will be available in English for the very first time.

Some thoughts on Graces F Remaster so far!! (less than 20hrs in) :

First time playing with the jp voices is a vastly improved experience imo. I can finally take Asbel seriously and Richard isn't so stilted

Fun fact - in English, Asbel's voice is higher and Hubert's is deeper. In Japanese, this is reversed!! (Relatively) deep voice Asbel definitely caught me off guard sjxk

I immediately turned off quest objective markers bc I'm very much a "don't tell me what to do!!!" kind of player apparently lol. Everyone on call with me was like oh you should turn them on for Wallbridge at least but I was like nope!! I did it on ps3 without the guide markers I'll fuckin do it again (I did <3 with only a little walking in circles)

The run speed hooooly fuck the RUN SPEED. Anyone who's played ps3 graces knows how goddamn slow Asbel is on the field maps,, finally I can nyoom

I somehow did not remember how much Asbel is suffering throughout the game like goddamn my emo son right here. Effervescent

Battle is sooo much easier purely bc I played like 10 other tales games in the interim of graces playthroughs lmao

It's been especially interesting comparing the localization dialogue to the original,, having studied loc and tl in uni it's fascinating to see what decisions they made (and which ones I disagree with sjxkdk)

Fun fact - Asbel repeats his desire to protect Richard and to be his sword far more in Japanese, tho it's not lost insofar as he still voices his want to be "at/by Richard's side" in en (where in jp he specifically says "Richard's sword")

Lots of lines where they very obviously altered short lines to be more direct/opaque but it's very funny reading "Thanks, brother." And just hearing Hubert... Like ah yes. The audience needs to know that Asbel thinks well of Hubert and still considers him his brother (which is established elsewhere but reinforcement is fair ig)

Tales of Graces f was one of the best Tales games to be released over a decade ago, and while the formula has been improved upon since then, Bandai Namco somehow has been able to make it stand out in 2025. The combat in Tales of Graces f remains a masterclass experience, having some of the most engaging and compelling encounters of the franchise.

A collaboration costume from Tales of Graces f Remastered will be available as free downloadable content for Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust announced.

A special illustration by illustrator Benitama was released today to commemorate the collaboration. It features Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land protagonist Yumia wearing the collaboration costume alongside Tales of Graces f Remastered protagonist Asbel.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on March 21 worldwide.
