Episode 205: Metropolitan Police Detective Love Story 3 (Part 1)

It’s the anniversary of Sato’s father’s death, and Ayumi overhears an arsonist as he discusses with himself how he’s going to burn down the entire city. Because Ayumi is the only witness, this apparently means she has to accompany the police while they search for him, even though he’s suspected to be a knife murderer, and needless to say, very dangerous. On the way to checking out the alleyway where Ayumi saw him, they stop at a street corner where Sato’s father died, and meet his baseball club members. They get a call from Megure, who says a man matching the culprit’s description was spotted. Takagi and Shiratori are going to track him down while Sato is supposed to stay with the kids. While getting into Shiratori’s car, Takagi realizes he left his handcuffs behind. He says it’s okay though, because the fortune teller in the paper said he was going to be lucky today. This causes Sato to have a black-out freak-out flashback moment to when her father said the exact same thing right before he died. Then she gives him her father’s old, rusty handcuffs as a good luck charm. However they don’t do their job very well when he calls her from Shinagawa station, and gets knocked out mid-conversation. He was trying to tell her he found out that the culprit that killed her father was one of the baseball club members.

Satou Miwako x Takagi Wataru if you can? It's nice to see actual adults, who aren't childhood friends and do work for law enforcement officially in Detective Conan. What's more they are canonically a proper couple. Takagi's bond with Conan made me love him the most out of all the police force and Miwako's so cool.

i'm watching detco and seeing these two slowly get together is something nice. I like the dynamic these two have. I MEAN, Sato is so cool?? and Takagi's clumsier personality makes a good balance (he's always trying so hard).

oh and yes they always listen to Conan! Sato doesn't even doubt his instructions or warnings, and for Takagi... he somehow got this mini boss lol

i wanna make a detective conan alternate universe, where:

conan and shinichi are different person. the reason why conan live with ran is because shinichi can't take care of a child and yes conan and shinichi are blood related but not that close

rei and tooru are different person. they are a twin, but their parent divorced when they were like 2. rei take after his dad's last name (furuya) and tooru take after his mom's last name (amuro).

ai and shiho are a different person and yes ai is prof. agasa's grand daughter but like nothing closely related

just, like, every character are different person so there's no one character with two persona

and most importantly: there's no black organization

Episode 1085-1086: The Inauspicious Matchmaking

Plot in five keywords:

Conan, Ran and Kazuha visit a shrine because Heiji was gathering information about it

They encounter a mysterious man who’s wearing a mask and Conan easily figures out that it’s Heiji

Later, they find a dead person and it seems like he fell down the stairs, but Heiji says that it was murder

Turns out he was an officer who was looking for criminals and found three of them at the shrine

What is the murder weapon and who’s the murderer?

Important plot development:

Kogoro wonders what the FBI should do in Japan

We get to know that the FBI agents returned to the US and that they will overthink their strategy against the BO

Conan wonders what was meant in the conversation of Akai and his father about the tea party

He also wonders what Camel’s information on Rum’s identity means

Conan wants to ask Heiji about it

Conan knows that Heiji gathered information about the shrine because it is known for matchmaking

Ran knows that the man wearing the mask is Heiji. Later, it turns out that Kazuha knows it as well and just acts like she doesn’t do so to break down Heiji’s reserve

Minor Takagi x Sato relationship progress

Conan asks Heiji what he would consider a funny name. He mentions that Katsuki Doito, which would be an anagram for Kaito Kid

Kazuha unmaskes Heiji. He says he needs help in terms of relationships. Kazuha wants to know what he means. Conan thinks he just needs better luck

Many flashbacks, too many in my opinion, which make it a bit boring to me. The case itself is interesting, there are some cute moments and some very funny scenes. I like the interaction between Heiji and Kazuha and overall, I think this is a very watchable episode.

Four teams headed by the company leaders competed in the "Engeki Draft Grandprix 2022" where each team put on their own original production based on a theme that were assigned to each team.

The world has been fragmented into smaller worlds, represented by Ru, Achtzehn, Snapper and Huit. To ensure that the world isn't destroyed, they have to reunite the fragments.

However, all four have very different ideas of what they want for their world.

OTHER TRIVIA

Theme: Apple

Each of the characters in the production are represented by an apple.

In flower language ("hanakotoba"), the apple symbolises "honour" (Achtzehn), "regret" (Snapper) and "choice" (Huit).

Ru tells the audience that his apple is "revolution", but that is a false meaning, and it is revealed that the true meaning of his apple is "temptation".

Character Names

Ru (ル): Another reading for "流". Based on "Ryuji".

Achtzehn (アハセント): 18 in German. Based on "Touya" / 10 + 8.

Snapper (スナッパー): "鯛" (sea bream) is also a fish. Based on "Taizou".

Huit (ユイット): 8 in French. Based on "Eito" / eight.
