I've updated the designs of nearly everyone because I wasn't happy with the previous ones, sans Jax and normal Pomni (I.... still haven't started on Zooble but I already have a rough concept in mind)

Gangle is STILL giving me a ton of trouble no matter what AU the girlie is in because you can only do so much with a bunch of ribbons and a mask-

Power. From what we can gather, it’s seems our new “friend” Is quite skilled with Soul Magic, this would either imply that; a. He is a powerful Transcendent or is a unique case of Madness or; b. He has great experience and knowledge of it. Maybe before the apocalypse?. Is he more powerful then Caine at it?

Presence. This guy is ABNORMALLY scary, even our fearless combat harlequin seems to shake in her boots at his presence! But why? Is it instinct? Her exclusively? Then why did Bubble shut down when he’s around? Does his very presence disrupt magic and/or tech? Could Caine feel it too?

Shockwave. I could only imagine how Pomni & Caine (& Bubble?) felt after her first encounter. But what about the others? I can imagine what they are thinking “wait. Pomni ran away from something? And she was SCARED?!?”

You said that he only started appearing and targeting Pomni after she defeated Boss!Kingr, Why then? Did he had a vendetta? Was it coincidence? Did he had a crush was he just doing his job?

Was it aware of her before?

) He's quite the powerful one, alright. He could give Caine a run for his money, but the two never meet. He disappears when Caine is nearby Pomni's location for unknown reasons.

) His presence does indeed disrupt tech; one of his major inspiration is The Thin Man from Little Nightmares. Bubble's footage is corrupted every single time. He even chases Pomni "calmly" and in slow, long strides. As for Pomni... she's got her reasons, one that even she isn't exactly aware of initially.

) No one seems to know. Whenever the others ask what exactly happened after they blacked out, Pomni is... strangely quiet, and prone to outbursts if one pried into it more. They don't really know what to do, and how to approach the Harlequin about it.

Ever since I discovered @hootbon TADC Au "Freaks Show" I couldn't get out of my head how nightmare fuel and horrid Gangle's situation is in there (in my opinion) so I thought it would be cool to show that through this little comic.

Now, when tackling the monster designs for this little crossover, I had to keep in mind what made the LN monsters so unique and uncanny in the first place. Which meant simple, but exaggerated, contorting body horror features. I had to not stray from original TADC concepts and try to embody them in these designs as best as possible, and made them extra grotesque. For Jax's case, he's become a farmer that also doubles as a scarecrow, something he asked the Doll (Ragatha) to do to him. His purple complexion is the result of this decision.

There's also the factor of making them have more muted colors as opposed to bright and saturated ones, to really make it hit home and the cast would fit in the universe of Little Nightmares (even though the environments are most definitely not gonna be the same as the games, since the monsters' environments reflect their occupation/role) Ragatha in this one is a Dollmaker whom had an unfortunate run in with the Entomologist (Kinger), resulting in stitches.

The designs may look simple enough, but make no mistake; I had a TON of trouble figuring out how to incorporate the TADC cast into a more monstrous versions of themselves because of just how vastly different the vibes between the two medias are. These designs underwent at least 2-3 tries before being finalized, because goddamn character design is my passion but does it kick ass sometimes Good ol' Kinger here is an Entomologist (Insect collector), who doesn't like his "focus" on his work and belongings being disturbed. He has two detached hands that roam around.

Obviously this isn't where it ends because I still have to do Gangle, Zooble, Gummigoo, Gloink Queen and Loolilalu (Maybe even Martha Mildenhall) so this may be a multiple part series.

Not to mention, Pomni and Caine's monster selves too because I'm not gonna ignore that, everyone becomes a monster in this and no one can stop meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
