1. How did you first get into musical theatre?

I guess I've always liked music, plays/theatre, and plays with music in them >:) My parents took me a lot to Cultural Events as a kid. I've also always been into doing music myself, like piano lessons (for years kdkd) and also singing (just for fun, then in school choirs etc.), which probably made me Susceptible to liking musical theatre hahah.

The timeline on Musicals proper is a bit fuzzy, but te "inciting incident" so to speak is either 1) my mom taking me to see Finnish Wicked, or 2) my music teacher (he doubled as the "homeroom teacher" or class teacher whatever) showing my primary school class POTO 2004 xD. I loved both (and ÅST Les Mis when my mom also took me to that pretty soon after Wicked), and all of those shows are still quite near to my heart heheh.

31. Is there a musical that means a lot to you that isn't one of your favourites? What made you feel that way about it?

Hamilton skksksks. It's really well-made throughout, and despite Lin-Manuel Miranda selling out and having done questionable things and the disney plus proshot being kinda bad, it was world-changing when it came out and the way it's constructed still holds up!! I saw it recently and had a good time >:) It also reminds me of being a teenager (only the good parts) :')

32. Talk about the worst production of a musical you like that you've seen.

I have talked plenty about Elisabeth Schönbrunn 2022 on this blog KFKDLDLLD.... didn't see it live but the impact of that trashfire (or I guess, of the 2019 original concert version... or maybe we have to go all the way back to the Dutch concert idk) almost killed my love for the show and nearly destroyed musical theatre as an art form xD only half joking... I'm so glad two people are single-handedly saving us right now

37. Is there a musical lyric, line, moment, etc. that lives in your head rent-free?

when they decided to use the spiegel melody for elisabeth act 1 revamped finale because it's a convenient pre-existing pre-fitting countermelody... but as a byproduct accidentally made the ominous words be todolf foreshadowing 😌

10. What is their relationship to that childe if they do have one?

So she does... end up.... embracing another because well... Like fathers like daughter and she lives kind of a lonely life. He's... not very happy with his new life. Probably the only logical one in that house tbh. They're messy, she tries so so hard to make him happy and get his approval but they fight... a lot. She just wants the kind of romance her dads have thats all <3333 Rip Pierre

26. Do they want to become human again or are they fine as a kindred? She'd never tell Aurel because she's so so grateful to him but... I think she obviously wants what the humans have. I don't think she particularly remembers much about her mortal life but there's always a sort of itch.

Good! I’m making progress on Give the Lion Fangs slowly but surely. I think I’ve figured out how to get past the part that was stumping me. Now just to push past the usual anxiety/insecurity and get that chapter done!

I’ve also been chipping away at a fluffy fairy Time fic I started a month or two ago. Here’s a snippet!

“No fair!” He shouts. “How can you go so fast?!”

Tears bud in his eyes, born of the early winter breeze and the exhilaration of a chase. He nearly stumbles in a stray stone, catches himself before he can, and keeps going.

Before him a fairy flits, delicate and quick. Its small form glows a joyful shade of cherry red and tiny glittering whirls of the same color flow out behind it. It pauses, seeming to check if Wind is alright. When he gives it a thumbs up, it makes a chiming noise, bells ringing with mischievous laughter. Wind is reminded of Aryll’s giggles when she engages him in a game of hide-and-seek.

5. what does it take to make you flustered about tickling?

I answered this earlier but headspace is so important but usually talking about how much I like it or how much fun they’re having tickling me would have me melting.

7. have you ever told someone outside of this community about tickling?

I have! I told two friends once over discord during covid times. We somehow started talking about kinks, found a list of common kinks and started going through them. Tickling came up and they were both shocked to hear it was a thing and I took that as an opportunity to say I liked it! They asked me a few questions and were super receptive! They both even said they’d tickle me when we met up again but that hasn’t happened lol I don’t hold it against them I truly think they just don’t remember.

27. lees, do you enjoy being tickled on your worst spot(s)? lers, how do you go about tickling a lees worst spot(s)?

Hmm not for like a super prolonged period of time! Mixing it in there is fun but I won’t last long and I’d rather be tickled for longer than intensely if that makes sense? And whatever gets the best reaction and whatever they’re comfortable with!! A mouth to your thighs will make you scream? Okay! Digging my fingers into your ribs will make you cry? Sure! I’m not picky

What do you think of the theory that the Lost Kin is Esmy?

I've never considered it before! It could be possible that the Lost Kin is actually Esmy, since Esmy's identity and Kin's history are both left incredibly vague. It also would explain how Kin learned how to fight with a nail once we find them.

Though there doesn't seem to be too much proof regarding the theory since again, both Esmy & Kin are very vague characters. If team Cherry wanted to make the connection that Esmy and Kin were connected I feel like there would be at least some subtle hints, like Sly or the Nailmasters pointing out that Ghost looks familiar or Kin having some attacks resembling Nail Arts (There's a slight resemblance to the Dash Slash, but there are some differences in how it behaves. Dash Slash works by dashing forwards and then slashing the nail, while Kin dashes and slashes simultaneously. Also the "Nail Art Effect" below your feet isn't seen in Kin.) so from a lore prospective there doesn't seem to be much backing this theory up.

But still vague info means info up for interpretation, so the theory isn't completely out of the window! I personally love this theory and would love to see this idea be further developed :]

yes of course! im delighted you find it interesting! tamlin’s unnamed brothers and his relationship with them as well as how being heir shaped everything has always been so intriguing to me so that’s how this fic (and the title!) came about! meant for tamlinweek day 1 😭

The three of them stilled, ears straining to pick up anything when the distant sound of rustling became clear. Even with the untrained hearing of faerie youth, Tamlin could tell the sound was coming from almost a half mile away, but there was no mistaking the pattern of movement, or the absence of footsteps. The pack of naga was on its way.

Tamlin felt his stomach drop into his throat. “Emrys, let me down.”

But his brother was suddenly fit with a look of determination. “Now? When we have the perfect opportunity to draw them in?” He walked back casually to the brush. “Just stay put, little brother, and they’ll all be dead before they have a chance to realize what’s happening.”

“Emrys, you can’t—” Tamlin grunted, bending at the waist, his fingers clutching at what he now realized was the remnants of Emrys’ original snare, wrapped tightly around his ankle.

“Unfortunately for you, you don’t have much of a choice. So stay put—” Emrys waved a hand and Tamlin felt the rope tighten further, causing him to groan in pain, “—and keep quiet.”

His next plea died on his lips as the distinct figures of three naga in the distance came into Tamlin’s view. Panic gripped him tight as he pulled and pulled on the rope around his ankle. “Emrys!”

His brother was paying him no mind, instead his expression set in strain as he focused on an attempt he could not commit. Emrys’ palms were splayed forward, feet rooted into the ground, a vein prominent on his temple. A stark contrast to the slight breeze tunneling through the clearing. And certainly not the mark of an heir.

But Tamlin couldn’t bring himself to say so. Not even in the face of certain death could he reveal to his brother that the Mother had not gifted him the way she’d gifted him. For that would mean a different death. A slower one, perhaps.

And worse . . . the undivided attention of his father.

“Emrys . . . Emrys, please.” The beg tasted bitter on his tongue, but Tamlin couldn’t bring himself to speak the words that would convince Emrys he didn’t have the ability to take on three full-grown naga by himself. It would require more than smacking branches and self-acting snares.

“Quiet!” Emrys snarled, though his shoulders sagged and his wide eyes were no longer set in determination.

Kerr, who’d been hiding in the brush, scrambled into the clearing, a hand clamping onto Emrys’ shoulder tight. “We have to get out of here now!” he hissed.

hello! :') he's alright. i haven't been able to take him to the clinic because it's fully booked for the next, like, 3 weeks atp. the vet's supposed to call me when another patient cancels their appointment and a vacancy opens up but none have. i can't afford to take him to the emergency clinic, it's too expensive, so i'm just trying to take care of him at home. good news being that he's eating and drinking regularly again even though he's still sick 💖 he has also seemingly stopped peeing outside of the litter box .? so i'm taking that as a sign of slight improvement too

How old are Quanshui, Zhao and Yue?

All three are ageless, but I can tell ya' their mental ages! (this includes some headcanons so forgive me-)

Quanshui literally would be 2000 but mentally she's about the same age as MK and Mei (so probably 19-20)

Yue's case is the same as Quanshui's as in he's ageless but mentally young (for him I would say 18-19)

Zhao is like 3000 but mentally she's in her late twenties-early thirties (probably around 28-30)

41. Share an unpopular opinion about musical theatre.

Translations are FUN AND GOOD because they give us more content to chew on!!! In Finland especially there seems to be a pathological fear of translations among some musical fans (this was a frequently mentioned worry online re: the new amateur production of Heathers - the translation was excellent and people noticed that, but it's annoying that they were surprised every time) and to some extent I get that because we have a few very bad translators/lyricists actively working rn JSKDKDL. But yeah, overall I think people should have a more curious relationship to translations! Some of my favourite ones are Finnish TdV (naturally), French Elisabeth (!!) and German Evita (Kunze popped off ksksks).

47. Is there a musical that you looked forward to seeing that disappointed you? Why did it fail to live up to your expectations?

The only show I've walked out of midway through (at intermission) was Something Rotten 😭 I don't like Finnish outdoor summer theatre humor and there was a lot of that going on dkslls, and I think comedy musicals can be hard to get right in general. (Not a blanket criticism - one of my fave shows is The Producers and the prod I saw in Leipzig early this year nailed everything!). Also I dislike when there are too many ballads and all the ballads in Something Rotten are bland and forgettable 😭 I had seen some viral clips of Christian Borle as Shakespeare and he was great so I was expecting similar antics, but the unnamed beloved (not by me I don't know him kskskd) musical performer playing him in Finland that year was sick that day or something and his vocals were super off 😭 My dad and I drove 5 hours to see that show btw so it was extra disappointing hahahah.

48. What's the worst musical you've ever seen? What made it so bad?

It's either Something Rotten or ÅST (Turku, Finland) Dracula (2022) kdkdlsls. I'm really discerning and don't take risks with shows much (I will try to make sure I'll enjoy the experience and won't force myself to go if I know I won't have fun) but I assumed I would like Dracula (I like vampires!) and it was just a lot of very repetitive songs, too much talking, #deep messaging that fell flat, and not enough theatricality even when it could've been added and made things great (I did love Dracula's brides in this prod but they should've been allowed to do more...!). Idk, it took itself too seriously in places I wished it hadn't, and didn't take itself seriously when I thought it would've made sense. Also I had recently watched the Wildhorn Dracula proshot and was comparing them unfavourably in my head ksksks. Like, Wildhorn Dracula is flawed, but it has solid songs and the 2007 (?) proshot cast is extremely star-studded and everyone is giving their all lmao.

49. Detail your OC's backstory! Forgive me for I'm about to Yap...

She was born 1849 and embraced 1865. She was a beautiful and ambitious little lady with a love for learning and the arts. Fast forward a bit, she was approached by a Ventrue who was looking for someone young an impressionable to mold to his whim, and offered her family a comfortable life as well as an education in return for her hand. Basically everything and anything she wanted he would give her but it was less out of love and more out of... "I need more numbers for my cause" and the easiest way to get that was by starting fresh. While preparing for the wedding though she was attacked and embraced by a Nosferatu, for reasons mainly unknown. Wether it was a power play or spite, it was directly aimed to hurt Mr. Ventrue. She was basically a casualty in victorian vampire politics. She was found by Aurel and Jaime, and was taken under their wing which is a whole new messy chapter of her life. Basically... Nosferatu Claudia from IWTV 42. Suppose they weren't embraced by their clan, which other clan would they thrive in?

Poetically enough, I'd say Toreador... same as her pseudo father, Aurel 26. Do they want to become human again or are they fine as a kindred?

I think she dreaded becoming what she is. It was a really tough adjustment. I think she never really gets over what she lost, since she kind of had it all. Even though it’s a blur. She accepts it eventually but when you're watching mortals go by on their day to day life, she can'y help but want it back.

✍️: Overall, how does the fandom trait you? Are you a beloved character, or hated? Are you popular, or a minor side character? Anything in between?

um um umm. i have a better idea of what my SI would be like in tr than in wb but I think overall, tr me would be perceived as kinda cool like yuzuha but in wb i'm more of just a sweet support character. kinda like kotoha. i have a few different aus for tr, so it depends really. like in the au where i'm kisaki's sister and i scheme with him and shuji, there's probably more fuel for dislike/hatred there. but in the bonten au where i'm their art dealer, who gaf! that's just cool and i think would be fuel for some really cool fic/art!

me n chika are a rarepair for sure. like genuinely what scenario would we have to be in for anyone to even remotely consider that. but i think ppl would ship endo and i based on appearances!

i think shuji x venus would be pretty popular, tbh. but i also think ppl who ship him with kisaki (i am also one of these ppl...) would detest me! which is like, fine, whatever. idc. oh and i made up the bonten au so i could be with koko or kaku but i honestly don't think those pairs would be that popular LOL i think ppl would still ship me with rindou.
