HIIIIII have the opening paragraph to a graceland polyfic (which i actually might post really soon if all goes according to plan >:] )

Mike didn’t know which was getting to him quicker: the exhaustion from staying up waiting for Briggs to come home, or the pent-up anxiety that had him on edge and increasingly short-fused. Charlie had headed up to bed a little over an hour ago after spending the night pacing the kitchen, and Johnny had gone up with her—playing peacekeeper between the few of them had gotten old fast. Paige and Dale were pouring over the map laid out between them on the kitchen island, debating back and forth about logistics for a trafficking case they’d been assigned. They had claimed to give up on agonizing over Briggs’ safety once midnight hit not too long ago, but the fact that neither of them had gone to bed said enough. Mike heard it in the tap of Paige's fingers on the page, nervously drumming out her looming doubts in tune with the ticking clock—saw it in the overlap of condensation rings wilting the corner of the map, DJ’s mug of lavender tea having long gone cold.

7. Did you write for any new fandoms or ships this year?

this year was my first time ever writing for christian and satine from moulin rouge, and my first time ever writing for moulin rouge in general! :)

9. What fic made you feel the happiest to work on?

definitely something's in your eyes, but in the way where i'm like. sickos cackling the entire time and really enjoying it

30. What would you like to write next year?

i have a VERY SPECIFIC LIST of fics that i WILL finish this year or so help me god. however i cannot release this list for fear of the universe deciding to play reverse psychology games on me. this is actually the exact same reason why i do NOT make an ao3 draft until the fic is 100000000% ready to post because every single time i did and the fic wasn't absolutely perfectly undoubtedly impeccably finished, the fic would end up not being finished for Months after IF AT ALL. i partially blame this for why i haven't finished something's in your eyes, and also i made the first ao3 draft for trial by fire in august and didn't finish it until JANUARY. so.
