In Breaking Bad, the laboratory coats that Walter and Jesse use get darker as the seasons progress. [^ Season 1 compared to Season 4 in the pics above.]
Having once only worked as a pair, this darkening points to the moral deterioration as their projects get far uglier with age.

hecate cabin headcanons
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: hey!!! daughter of hecate here. can you guys tell that i grew up reading pjo and harry potter? 😭
children of hecate
• their grades in school usually aren't always the best, but they constantly surprise (annoy) their teachers by knowing the most random facts because their mother is the goddess of trivia.
• naturally, they love fantasy novels.
• a lot of them are triplets, or have two other siblings, since three is a very sacred number (not just in greek mythology, but since hecate has three technical personas).
• when claimed, hecate gifts them with a familiar that is tied to the demigod's life and goes on quests with them. the familiar strengthens their magic and they share a strong psychic bond.
• many of them have their own personal grimoires and journals.
• they often watch witch movies and television shows and laugh at the inaccuracies (but they all secretly jot down spells for inspiration).
• despite their slightly mysterious and creepy appearances, they actually are really nice.
• at the end of summer, they put on a magic show for the little campers.
• they love teaching their new siblings magic and watching them freak out when they turned everything into pineapples and watching over them as they’re levitating in their sleep before they learn to control it.
• they have a side hustle of tarot card readings, palm readings, tea leaves and miscellaneous spells.
• they can all see through the mist and control it with ease, making it hard for the hermes cabin to prank them.
• they all have their own deck of tarot cards and there’s crystals everywhere.
• they all strongly believe in astrology.
• they’re all naturally skilled in the use of daggers.
• although their mother is sometimes depicted as a maiden goddess, none of them have ever explicitly stated if they are born the "traditional" way or if they are conceived in ways similar to children of athena.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
cabin exterior
• the cabin's architecture is a blend of ancient and mystical styles, with elements of gothic and greco-roman designs.
• the walls have intricate carvings of magical symbols, runes, and mythical creatures.
• out in front of their cabin, they grow yew, nightlock, and many other herbs (to use in potions).
• they have a dedicated area behind the cabin for practicing spells and rituals, complete with a stone altar and circles of power. this area is also surrounded by protective wards.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
cabin interior
• the runes and inscriptions in the stones they used to build their cabin don't only strengthen the walls of their cabin and lessen their unintended spell-casting, but also make it so their cabin is bigger on the inside.
• charms and talismans hang from the eaves and doorways, tinkling softly in the breeze and adding a layer of protection and enchantment.
• they have their own treasure room in which they keep objects their have collected on their quests.
• they only keep the magical or enchanted objects though and send everything else to the attic of the big house.
• they have a basement (like many of the other cabins) complete with a lily pond that includes a couple of frogs, the walls are lined with hundreds of magic books and it is where they spend hours on end learning from their siblings how to control the mist and cast spells.
Tumblr media
cabin traditions
• everytime they get a new sibling, they have a moving in party.
• they make tons of broom shaped snacks, prepare a few spell books and potion brewing books. as soon as the sibling walks into the room they all yell. "YER A WIZARD" and the party begins.
• every year, on halloween, they choose a city to go to and use the mist to confuse the mortals.

The last of us trivia
TV show
• Pedro Pascal agreed to play Joel within a day of being sent the script.
• Neil Druckmann (the writer and director of the games, and the co-creator of the HBO series) watched over 100 auditions for Ellie before seeing Bella Ramsey's audition, of which he said, “It didn't feel like I was watching someone acting like Ellie. I was watching Ellie.”
• The TV adaptation offered the opportunity to expand on characters' backstories like Marlene and Ellie's relationship - as they weren't limited to a first-person POV.
• Huge apocalyptic sets had to be made for the show that were only used once - like the interior of the Capitol Building, which was built on a soundstage from scratch. Matching the lushness of the game while making it more realistic was the end goal, and art books from Naughty Dog (the company that developed the video games) were used as a jumping off point.
• Tess is portrayed by Australian actress Anna Torv. She was aware of the games but had not played them and watched the cutscenes after her casting. Torv felt her performance required consistent truthfulness due to its subtlety.
• Anna Torv and Pedro Pascal who portrays Joel decided that Tess and Joel had been lovers for some time but, like in the game, were subtle about their relationship.
• Sarah is portrayed by English actress Nico Parker. Parker watched videos of the original game years before getting the role. She wanted to stay away from the game version and provide her own interpretation of the character.
• As the clickers were a “home run” in the games, prosthetic artists from Game of Thrones were brought on to make them look as close to the source material as possible.
• There was even a movement bootcamp to train extras how to move like infected.
• The art teams were given the direction to find the beauty in the fungus. As Neil Druckmann said, “When you see the beauty in these monsters, it somehow makes them creepier.”
• It was Bella Ramsey's suggestion to have Ellie sleep with a switchblade during her first night with Tess and Joel.
• Neil Druckmann always thought of Joel and Tess's relationship as romantic, and the TV show offered the opportunity to make that explicit.
• Neil Druckmann is open to a The Last of Us Part 3 game, but it depends on whether the team can “come up with a compelling story that has this universal message and statement about love.”
• Pedro Pascal was chosen to play Joel Miller because of his ability to portray a tough, tortured, and vulnerable character who suppresses his emotions until necessary.
• Pedro Pascal based Joel's voice on his own experiences growing up in San Antonio, Texas, paring it back from the Southern accent used in the games.
• Bella Ramsey was aware of the game before their audition, but was encouraged not to play it to avoid replicating Ashley Johnson's original performance, instead watching some gameplay on YouTube to get a sense of it. As of filming the series, they still hadn't played the game.Ramsey wanted their performance to be reminiscent of the games without copying them.
• Unlike his counterpart from the video game series, Joel is more vulnerable in the television series; he is hard of hearing on one side due to a gunshot, his knees ache when he stands and he also suffers from nightmares and panic attacks. Co-creator Craig Mazin felt Joel should be less resilient than in the game to show the toll that living in the post-outbreak world has taken.
• Tommy is portrayed by American actor and producer Gabriel Luna. About a month after the casting of Pascal and Ramsey as Joel and Ellie respectively, Luna was asked to submit an audition tape. He was familiar with the work of co-creator Craig Mazin and executive producer Carolyn Strauss, and had previously worked on HBO's True Detective. About a week after submitting his tape, he was offered the role and, according to Luna, they instantly knew he was the one. He was enthusiastic for the role, having lived in Austin, Texas—Joel and Tommy's hometown—around the same time as the show's setting. He was also given a PlayStation 5 during production to play the games as research.

Despite popular belief Hannibal from the Hannibal TV show is an entirely seperate character from Hannibal from Silence of the Lambs, and in fact was independently created without the original writer for the character concept having ever been in contact with Silence of the Lambs.

Many of the smaller characters are played by real life ex police officers, politicians and criminals. Many of the ex criminals were arrested by the same real life policemen who appear on the show.
Despite widespread critical acclaim, HBO nearly cancelled the series before seasons 3 and 4, and David Simon had to spend huge effort to convince them not to.
Omar is the only character in the show that never swears. He doesn’t use any profanity in any of his scenes.
Whilst The Wire was being made, the then-Mayor of Baltimore hated the show because he thought it gave the city a bad reputation. The police regularly made arrests on the production team / crew, in order to disrupt the filming process, for the slightest reasons.
Stringer’s name was combined from a mix of two real life Baltimore drug lords, called Stringer Reed and Roland Bell.
Marlo was also based on the actual person Timmirror Stanfield, who ran a murderous drug gang.
David Simon inserted as much humour into the show, in order to keep it being too miserable to watch.
Simon also based the character McNulty on his own experiences of real detectives. That they needn’t necessarily be good people, but were driven chiefly with the task of solving mysteries that they saw as an insult to their intelligence.

So yeah, I'm watching 'The Catch' and there's a scene where they're at this car show for really expensive and classic cars, (it's really weird watching this show where Bobby and Tommy Vega from Lone Star interact so heavily) and it gave me this new head canon that Tommy (the other one) loves going to car shows.

So, did anyone else know about this cancelled TV series about Brother Bear that Disney was developing around the time of the first film’s release or was I supposed to find that out on a random read through on the Wikipedia page?
Tumblr media
I mean the sequel was still in development at the time, but it looked like it wasn’t going to be too connected to it, kinda like what they did with the Timon and Pumbaa cartoon in the 90’s. But it was canned due to the film not doing well and the network putting their sights on more Tween related content for Disney Channel at the time.
Apparently the main focus was going to be that Kenai and Koda, but mostly Kenai, were going to adopt random, orphaned animals into their newly formed family, including a strange elephant/platypus hybrid named Doohickey. Don’t know where the hell he would come from but alright.
According to one of the writers, The show was basically about Kenai trying his best to control a situation that’s always getting out of control, which sounds pretty in character for him XD.
It’s too bad we couldn’t see what this could be like, it’s sounds like a typical Saturday morning cartoon that I would love to see as a kid.

It amuses me to this day that HBO managed to get away with producing “Tell Me You Love Me”. You know how it’s a joke that “Game of Thrones” can come off as porn at times? “Tell Me You Love Me” had scenes that were so explicit that people legitimately thought they were watching porn.
In case someone thinks I’m exaggerating how people reacted to the show:
