“I’m wearing a vintage hat I got in Amsterdam, a vintage shirt I’ve had since I was 17, vintage jewelry I’ve collected for years and a matching jewelry set I just bought at Foxy vintage fair. My Mom gifted me the Rudolf the rain deer sweater jumpsuit.”

New Video: JOVM Mainstays Elephant Stone Share Breezy and Nostalgia-Inducing "Another Year Gone"
New Video: JOVM Mainstays Elephant Stone Share Breezy and Nostalgia-Inducing "Another Year Gone" @elephantstonehq @FuzzClub @NoExitPR @girlieaction @delkin03 @littlecloudrec1 @wally_kempton
2023 has been a busy year for Montréal-based JOVM mainstays Elephant Stone: Earlier this year they released Dawn, Day, Dusk, which featured “Godstar,” and “The Imajinary, Nameless Everybody In The World.” Those two tracks saw the band continuing their narrative journey through crating material that deftly balanced human complexity with introspective themes paired with an evolving sound. They…

Fat Dog, MKULTRA, and Lip Critic DJ set at TV Eye
Tumblr media
Full photo gallery available on my website.
On Tuesday, October 22nd, South London’s Fat Dog continued their North American tour in support of their debut album, Woof, with a sold out show at TV Eye in Ridgewood, NY. The quintet were joined by MKULTRA for a live set plus Connor of Lip Critic DJed after doors opened and in between sets. Lip Critic were originally scheduled to open for Fat Dog in their hometown but had to cancel due to Bret testing positive for COVID-19 (the band will still open later shows on “The Woof Tour”). Danny Eberle of Lip Critic performed with MKULTRA whose website states: MKULTRA is committed to being the “World’s Most Confusing Pop Star,” and that mission was certainly accomplished. In between one of their songs, MKULTRA tore up the set list on stage, declared he didn’t need it because he knew what they were playing next, and proceeded to chew and swallow part of the paper. He later regretted that decision. For the next song, he wondered what was next and later asked, “Fuck, Christ, dude! Why did I eat that paper?”
At 9:57PM, a two minute warning played on the speakers and the audience heard barking dogs and sirens until the countdown ended. At 10PM, Joe Love declared “it’s Fat Dog, baby!” before launching into “Vigilante” of Woof. I discovered the young and exciting band weeks ago and enjoyed their singles and being in a small room filled with fans, it was immediately clear that I wasn’t the only one excited for their performance. The group breezed through songs from their full length album plus played a couple tracks from earlier EPs. Joe Love left the stage a few times to sing in the audience, plus there were pushups, and much dancing and singing along by those in attendance.
The set lasted under an hour, sans encore, and I left the venue extremely happy I finally saw them perform and wondering which venue they’ll graduate to when they return to NYC.

KATHY ASHETON: About a month after the Stooges and the MC5 got signed to Elektra, Iggy got married. I remember the day of his wedding because that was the day Iggy and I started our romantic relationship. You see, I never wore skirts or dresses, I hated all that, but the day of the wedding I decided to wear this really skimpy halter dress. That was the first time anybody saw my legs. And I guess you could say that Iggy was much more attentive to me than a man should be on his wedding day. He had a TV Eye on me . . . "TV Eye" was my term. It was girl stuff. My girlfriends and I developed a code. It was a way for us to communicate with each other if we thought some guy was staring at us. It meant "Twat Vibe Eye." Like, "He's got a TV Eye on you." And if we had it, then of course we'd use, "I have. . . ." Iggy overheard us and thought it was really funny. That's when he wrote the song "TV Eye."
