my favorite track on every TECHDOG

Track 10. I like how it sounds chaotic but then I slowly reveal that it was in 4/4 all along.

Track 7. This is where the "pop IDM" vision was strongest, I like the prog house plucks that sound like rain combined with drums that sound like thunder

This one's hard, cus it's my favorite lightmode techdog, but I think I'm gonna go with track 7. It's the most dense moment on the album but it sounds so goofy and carefree.

Track 4, it's the only one I didn't revise like 10 times.

Another hard pick, it's overall the strongest part IMO, but I really like track 8. I had that one squelchy 5:3 texture and I just kinda decided against putting anything else there, making you sit in the belly of the beast for 10 minutes. It's the one part that sounds properly scary.

This album isn't my favorite part as a whole, but track 10 is my favorite track in the entire project. I like how it sounds like badly recorded deep sea creatures. I love the horrifying throaty leviathan noises, it's like they're chasing you out of the album into the open air of the closer.

Track 5, easy. I exercised so much restraint by having that little piano moment only happen once, and it paid off. The opening tracks of techdog 7 feel like pulling your body back from the void and on track 5 you open your eyes again for the first time. I agonized over the structure/progression of 7 and I'm proud of how it turned out.

i want to talk about my sweet little marinette who's a high femme and ridiculous about it and she's always got the most pretty nails and whatever and kagami is absolutely devastated to know that now that they're together, kagami has to cook dinner.

because kagami is richer than god, richer than gabriel; the tsurugi family has been around since hell started and ever since she's been conscient, she has never stepped foot in the kitchen. but marinette isn't like that, no, she cooks? she makes food and bakes (she loves baking, loves sugar and loves sweets and loves licking caramel off of kagami's skin and — fuck—) so what is a girl to do? she's the most useless lesbian, after all.

kagami panics and every time it's her turn to make dinner, she hires a personal chef to come over and cook something instead.

marinette adores the food, chittering about how her girlfriend is so skilled, so amazing, wow mimi you really are such a steal, aren't you? you know how to cook, you know how to strap me, i'm in heaven! please marry me for the rest of my life? pretty please? and kagami sinks more and more and more in embarassment and disappointment with herself with what she's doing.

she feels awful.

until one day, marinette comes from the NICU just a smidge earlier than usual. a few hours. there's a random person in her house and she's confused and horrified when kagami looks even more clammed up than usual. the chef leaves. marinette is trying to process this. it's not going well. marinette assumes the worst— is kagami cheating on her?!— meanwhile kagami is trying to find a way to admit that she's been having someone cook them dinner for months, now.

kagami finally admitting it is the hardest thing in the world.
