I always assumed he wanted his powers back, but didn't want to be the one to do it so when he realised what ben was doing he was just like "ah, fuck it, let this idiot take their ire, I still get what I want" so didn't say anything

Okay, not to sound like an asshole and point out something right away, but in 4x01 there's no way Five wouldn't have noticed the marigold jar missing from the box after Ben took it. The dude was a trained assassin that had to keep track of his briefcase at all times, and the marigold jar was right on top of the box which was right next to his leg. Not to mention Five picked up that box and carried it too

So…I always wondered what state the Umbrella Academy lived in. It’s easy to assume New York but season 4 actually gives us an answer (sorta)

So in season 4, Viktor moved to Nova Scotia, Canada. The first time we see him, is in his bar when Luther calls him asking if he’ll be at Grace’s party.

Most kids parties start around 12pm and end around 3-4pm.

When Viktor finally arrives, it’s dark out. Considering Grace’s birthday is in Winter, the sun starts to set around 4 and by 5 it’s usually completely dark.

I think Viktor arrived around 4-4:30pm.

He has his truck with him so he didn’t take a plane, he had to have either driven across the border, or-

He took a ferry.

There’s a ferry that goes between Nova Scotia and a US State that’s a 3.5 hour ride.

And that’s Maine.

The Umbrella Academy lives in Maine. (At least in season 4 but considering the boys school existed (which was the same building as their home) then I’m willing to guess they have always lived in Maine.

I believe Five was probably smart enough to know that applying through regular channels would get him nowhere, so he basically did enough shit to make the CIA come looking for him to recruit him.

Am I the only one that thinks Five went into the CIA because it was familiar? He already had all the knowledge, smarts, and the sets of skills from being a super hero child and from working as an assassin for the commission. I feel like he just turned all that he knew into a decent paying 9-5. But, of course he had to apply for the job the old fashioned way even if he'd excel at it.

Gives me the feel of "I already have the skills. Might as well get paid for it.", ya know?

“i felt that five had to have a love story” okay steve !! fine. i’ll humour you. picture this : lila and five in the subway. they’re travelling to different timelines, loosing hope, trying to find a way home. then they get to a timeline and five sees dolores. but she’s a human, not a mannequin. he falls for her. loves her. wants to stay with her in her timeline. and that’s why lila has to force him to come home. she has kids, a husband, a life. five wants to stay with dolores more than anything. but he goes home, back to his timeline, because he knows he has to save his family. because he loves them more.

As I’m trying to come to terms with whatever the fuck that was, I’ve decided that:

Seasons 1 and 2 are peak. Absolute masterpieces. Canon.

Season 3 can be taken or left. Has its moments, but overall not as good as the first two. Canon, but only if you want it to be.

Season 4 is a fucking crack fic written at 2am that the author rereads at a later date and decides to delete. Absolutely not canon.

Im genuinely so upset. I love Umbrella academy still and i dont wanna admit that its dead because it shouldn’t be dead yet. But fucking steve blackman made that shitty fourth season and ruined everything. Litterally making many people leave the fandom and delete their works. Im not saying they should come back I’m not forcing anyone but its so genuinely upsetting its ridiculous i don’t want it to die yet. I really don’t. I love writing about five i love writing for umbrella academy. I love everybody that does these stories. I love there stories. I dont wanna leave yet. Im gonna cry i swear to god. I look forward to these stories and im not ready to let go im really not ready. I wish i knew how to save peoples stories so i can save them and go back and read them when i want to its just so upsetting. I love you guys so much thank you for making a fandom that i am so emotionally attached to, and a character that i think i genuinely love. I know its stupid because its on a screen and theres hundreds of other characters but i just cant help it. I love the characters and i love the actors and i will never find another fandom like this i swear to god.
