Rule update Horse Ranch, For Rent and Home Chef Hustle

This update has taken awhile to get out, I've explained why earlier. But here we are! It's for 2 expansions and a stuff pack!

Horse Ranch (HR)

Chestnut Ridge can be used as a starting world but then the second world is unlocked once you’ve completed the Championship Rider Aspiration. Otherwise it will be a default world and if you want to unlock it later it will depend how many worlds you have unlocked. See the new world section in this part of the rules.

Horse competitions is unlocked with Chestnut Ridge and Townies

New option to unlock the Bar -Have at least ten sims aged teen and above living in your town AND -Reach the top of the mixologist career branch or Completed Expert Nectar Maker Aspiration

For Rent (FR)

Tomarang can only be unlocked as the third world or later. It can’t be the starting or second world! Otherwise it will be a default world.

And because of this San Myshuno can only be unlocked as the forth world or later.

Residential rental - May be used after unlocking the third world. Handyperson - Level 10 Handiness Skill

Home Chef Hustle (HCH)

New option to unlock the Restaurant -Level 10 Culinary - Chef Career or Level 10 three cooking-related Skills or Completed Appliance Wiz aspiration

Wusel builds a new town: Family Hillinghead / Ashe Part 1

My husband and I have been watching a great show on Netflix called Bodies (go check it out if you haven’t already!) and once more I thought that I should create these characters as Sims and give them much happier lifes than they had on the show.

So here we are with our first two protagonists, Alfred Hillinghead and Henry Ashe. They gave up on life in the year 1890 and travelled to some more or less modern future. Probably around our time 🙂 

I guess it must be really hard to be thrown into a new life like that, so they have a big piece of land in Chestnut Ridge where they live off the grid and with simple living activated, but most of all happily together.

Alfred is a loyal, proper, romantic and domestic guy who wants his lineage to succeed in life.

His husband Henry (sorry, I’m terrible at creating Sims… let’s just imagine he totally looks like Henry) is a good, creative muser who has a photographic eye (cc trait) and wants to become a photo-artist, which is a cc aspiration 🙂

What they have is their love for each other and lots and lots of space… and that’s it for now. But we’ll get there, guys – don’t worry!

I’ve downloaded some mods from BrazenLotus

so they can gather wood and stuff like that. 

I’ll be more or less following these BaCC rules

although they haven’t been updated in a while, so I might make some changes to make up for that or just because.

A few moments later they are proud owners of their own well, a storage for their wood and two woodworking tables… it seems they need to forage wood to build all the new things I downloaded for them.

Hm… I usually say yes to whatever my Sims want, but I don’t think that’s a good idea, Henry… it will get better, you’re just upset because you pinched your finger! It will be fine!

“Hey, you’ve both pinched your fingers and are uncomfortable… do you want to go fishing for a while so you have something for dinner tonight?”

Our first fish – Henry is a natural!

The fish Henry caught disappear after roasting in the fire, so my two adventurers get marshmallows instead – those are not really filling, though!

The disappearing fish is neither mine nor their fault, so after Alfred and Henry have put up their tent and built a campfire I deactivate simple living for a moment so they can have some veggie dogs

So far they have

collected wood

built some furniture

caught fish

collected a mushroom and a berry that Alfred can’t identify yet

planted the mushroom in planter they built themselves

Is that a successful first day or what? 🙂

The days were getting a little repetitive, so Florian decided to call everyone for a day of exploration of the ruins around their home. He found some chocoberries.

Alice found a big snail statue called Sophie and took a picture with her. Afterwards she told Bambi about it, who got very excited as well!

As some of you may know from my Isle of Spright story, I have fallen in love with BACC gameplay, and getting back into ts4 has made me want to start a new one. Even though I’m still in love with my goblins, my computer can’t really handle as much CC anymore, and I have gravitated back to vanilla gameplay (with some exceptions). So this new story/challenge will be what I’ll focus on going forward, and I hope you’ll like it!

The story is a build-on from the existing Sims world, with my own twist on it. The Space Patrol, founded by SimNation and the government of Sixam, have decided, due to the threat of overpopulation, to expand their horizon and establish settlements on empty habitable planets.

A group of settlers has been tasked with being the first to populate the planet of Oasis Landing. The four chosen sims now have to be sure to establish a working settlement, to pave the way for more settlers to arrive.

I will be playing by @purzelsims BACC rules, with some of my own adaptions. And since they’re currently taking a break from simblr I’ll attempt to make some rules for the new packs.

Starting out each sim will start with §1000 each, and have to earn the rest. I have, however, realised I don’t enjoy playing unless they have a nice lot/house to live in, so for household’s first house/camp when they move in I will build it without regards to money. In my head they’ve already paid for the house when they bought the tickets to join the settlement. After that, any extensions/rebuilds fo the lot will have to be paid by their earned money.

If a household splits, I will divide the current funds by however many sims there are in the current household, and the money will be given out accordingly.

ɢᴀᴍᴇᴘʟᴀʏ

I will play rotationally, with each household rotation spanning seven days starting at Sunday 6AM. It will be played in rounds, one round meaning each household been played for one week in a fixed order. Season will be set for 2 weeks.

New households will be added at the end of a round, always keeping the rotation order. When it comes to children and heirs, one child will be considered the “heir” and stay on the lot. I’ll decide who the heir is based on what I feel like suits them.

Aspirations and Traits will be randomized for children completely. If an existing sim finishes an aspiration, the next one will be randomized as well. I’m not putting any restrictions on traits bought from the rewards store, but I’m not allowing any potions from there.

ᴇɴᴅɢᴀᴍᴇ?

Well, I don’t think there is one, which is kind of the point. I want a savefile I can just play and play, and continue building on. I guess an endgame would be when everything is unlocked and all of the lots have been built on, but seeing as there’s gamepacks coming on a regular basis that seems almost impossible. Which is kind of what I want!

Lucia Bianchi, Michael Milk, Emilee Easton, and Ambrosina Shipton. They have no memories of their old BACC save, which was lost when I upgraded my PC and my C drive broke. All their skills have been erased and they are young adults once again. It's late evening and they've just arrived in Sulani again.

I feel badly ending this chapter without at least some form of resolution (at least narratively speaking!)
