Fringe Teil 5-1: Die Bishops

Olivia tut mir leid… in meiner Vorstellung ist sie zwar nur zum Schein bei der Ersten Ordnung, um sie zu unterwandern und auszuspionieren, aber davon wissen sie und das Spiel ja nichts 🤷 Kein Wunder, dass Lincoln schon wieder wegläuft!

Fringe Teil 4: Die Bishops

Astrid und Fauxlivia stehen völlig unbegeistert im dunklen Wald und warten…

… während ich erstmal den tollen Himmel fotografieren muss

Nach etwas Rumscrollen finde ich, neben diversen Dingen und Droiden, die man scannen könnte, auch eine Simin vom Widerstand

Ich habe noch ein Stündchen oder so Zeit, also holt Astrid bei dem wunderschönen Wasserfall einen neuen Auftrag

„Nein, Sie wollen zu Cora hier direkt hinter mir – deshalb steht bei ihr “Scoundrel Contact” über dem Kopf!“

„Ach so, ‘tschuldigung!”

Ich glaube, vor 24 h stand hier Peter und hat ungefähr das gleiche gemacht… immerhin rennt Fauxlivia nicht ständig weg 🙂

Dafür hat Astrid ihren Datenstick verloren… wenn sie ausreichend das Control Panel analysiert hat, brauchen wir einen neuen 🙄

Ups – wir sind nach der Analyse in den Laden gereist, um den Datenstick zu holen, und das Control Panel hat sich danach wohl zurückgesetzt. Das, was eben richtig gewesen wäre, war es jetzt nicht mehr 😱

Und der Datenstick ist auch wieder weg… Astrid hat wohl Angst, dass die vielen galaktischen Credits uns ein Loch in die Tasche brennen 🙄

Wusel builds a new town part 8: Whiteman Family

Yay – the game used my break for finding the missing fish!

I’ve always found it sad that there’s no way to create flour and sugar in game, but luckily we have mods and awesome creators like icemunmun 🙂

And while we’re at it… say hello to Cuckoo (white) and Buttercup 👋

What a day… I’ll help Charles find that kid!!!!!

Henry invites Charles – he seems to be really happy to have adults to talk to 🙂

It’s a short pleasure because I don’t want to leave Esther alone after that terrible day at school, but as soon as we have money for a bar I’ll try another party

Esther fulfilled the Mind and Body aspiration!

I give her the creativitiy aspiration next (and I should remember to put the Grey…whatever it’s called… the mod that automatically chooses traits and aspirations in my game)

I had to reset Charles because he was stuck sleeping in bed and this was the result 😂

I always forget something when building a house… this time it was trash cans!

House party – second try

I hope Alfred and Henry don’t find Charlies joke about politicians offensive…

It goes better than the first party but we’re still far from the gold medal we need… they just refuse to get flirty despite the romantic incense fragrance and the strawberry nectar

But we’re almost at silver level!

Edit: We ARE at silver level! If we had electricity so they could dance and eat cake, we’d be there – and we’ll have electricity sometime next week 🙂

I think Esther might have a little crush on Henry…

Charlie hosts a party so we can stop ignoring the townies one day… but it seems that Henry didn’t feel like coming, so only Alfred showed up 🤷

Or maybe he’s just very, very, very late

The party was still a failure because the tasks either didn’t count or weren’t doable with the few things we have… but at least we got a charisma book 🙂

Even when you’re the only child in a town of 4 people in the middle of nowhere with no electricity or water… you still have to go to school!

Esther will definitely be hungry after schoool…

Henry and Alfred should be here, too, fishing with Charles, but I have no idea where they are running around…

Poor Esther – a hard test on her very first day of school and she even brought home a school project already!

In addition to off-the-grid and simple living, I also gave the Whiteman’s lot the prairie grass challenge, but the grass never spawned… we need the collectibles, so I bought some prairie grass for Charles

Good news: Charles found a bottle of finely aged strawberry nectar in the prairie grass that’s worth more than 2500 $

Bad news: He ignores all my commands to grill fish on a stick – or fried fish – for Esther… The game says there should be enough fish, my math and memory say there should be enough fish, but when I open the fridge it says it’s completely empty

Aaaaargh

While I definitely wouldn’t let Esther (or Charles) starve, that’s just too much for my nerves right now and it’s time for me to go practice piano anyway… maybe the game will find some fish until tomorrow!

„Hallo? September? Wo steckst Du denn??? Wusel sagt, wir sollen heute Hondo in der Cantina befragen, weil sie nicht schon wieder die Bösen spielen will! Ja… ich warte hier auf Dich! Beeil Dich!”

„Ich sollte September wieder wegschicken, in die Cantina gehen und mir was zu trinken bestellen, richtig Wusel?” *stolz guck*

„Also, Herr Hondo, kennen Sie vielleicht einen verwirrten aber genialen Mann, der auf Lakritze steht und einen glatzköpfigen kleinen Jungen bei sich hat?”

“Hm… vielleicht ja, vielleicht nein. Erledige doch erstmal ein paar Aufträge für mich, dann sehen wir weiter!”

“Ich hab’s geahnt… Was soll ich machen?”

Eine Partie Sabacc, so so… ich sehe unsere schönen Credits schon verschwinden! Und wieso ist September nach Hause gegangen, der steht doch auf Glücksspiel?

Ich weiss nicht, ob mir der Gesichtsausdruck von Hondo gefällt – der will uns doch übers Ohr hauen!

Oh nein – Peter verliert wie erwartet und fängt dann an zu weinen 😱

Fringe Teil 2: Familie Bishop

Willkommen in der Zukunft!

Olivia, Fauxlivia, Lincoln (hat wohl seine Brille vergessen), September, Broyles, Peter und Astrid sind sicher angekommen 🙂 Besonders begeistert sind sie davon wohl nicht, so wie sie alle gucken 🤷

„Und was machen wir jetzt?”

“Ich würde mich gern frisch machen!”

“Können wir nicht erstmal was zu Essen finden?”

Vorsichtshalber nimmt Olivia nur eine Portion Outpost-Popcorn, das ist gratis – wir haben nämlich nur 50 intergalaktische Credits

Die alternative Zukunft ohne Beobachter ist eindeutig sehr viel bunter geworden als die Zukunft mit Beobachtern… das heisst bestimmt was Gutes ❤️

Hoffentlich verliert September unsere 50 Credits nicht gleich beim Sabbac, ich kann ja nur Astrid, Olivia und Peter steuern 😱

Fauxlivia scheint ihr Selbstbewusstsein verloren zu haben…

Achtung, Peter – die Dame neben Dir wirkt rein optisch nicht, als würde sie zu den Guten gehören…

Nachdem Astrid ihr Outfit geplant hat, ist Nina ausgewählt – die ich ja gar nicht mitgenommen habe. Astrid, Olivia und Peter sind nicht mehr auswählbar

*freu* “Wusel hat uns gerettet!”

Hm, genau genommen hat jemand im Internet euch gerettet, der die Lösung wusste… auf Weltenverwaltung gehen, den Bishop-Haushalt auswählen, von dort einen der Sims auf Batuu auswählen und auf “play” klicken

Während Astrid und Olivia fröhlich weiter tanzen und ich keine Ahnung hab, wo der ungesteurte Rest der Bande sich herumtreibt, stelle ich fest, dass ich die Aufgaben dreimal erfüllen muss – mit jedem meiner steuerbaren Sims. Dreimal Essen bestellen, dreimal frischmachen, dreimal Outfit planen und danach über die Weltenverwaltung das Spiel wieder zum Laufen bringen *seufz*

„Hey, Commander Broyles – wenn wir alle Aufgaben dreimal erfüllen, kriegen wir auch dreifache Belohnungen!”

“Super – kann man für intergalaktische Credits in unserer Zeit Ausrüstung fürs FBI kaufen?”

Sorry, Wusel – ich hab irgendwie unterwegs vergessen, was ich machen sollte…”

*seufz* Du solltest POPCORN KAUFEN!

Um kurz nach zehn hab ich meine drei ins Bett geschickt, um 1:00 sind sie hellwach und bereit fürs Frühstück 🤷

Ausserdem muss ich zwar jede Aufgabe dreimal erfüllen, bekomme aber höchstens einmal die Belohnung… Peter hat nur 100 Credits gekriegt, waren für die erste Aufgabe nicht 200 versprochen?

Egal, das können sie ja jetzt alle beim Frühstück besprechen 🙂

Als nächstes sollen wir je drei Sims über den Widerstand, die erste Ordnung und die Schurken befragen. Und das dreimal… Man stelle sich das vor!

Peter: “Hallo, können Sie uns was über den Widerstand erzählen?”

Olivia: “Sorry, ich hab gerade nicht zugehört, können Sie uns das nochmal erzählen?”

Astrid: “Tut mir leid, ich war etwas abgelenkt, könnten Sie eventuell nochmal…”

Und das mal 9 😂

Ein Glück habe ich die anderen Sims nicht spielbar gemacht vor der Reise – darüber nachgedacht hab ich 🤣

Immerhin kann man einen Sim über alle drei Fraktionen befragen und muss sich nichtmal vorher mit ihm anfreunden…

September hat EINDEUTIG ein Problem mit Glücksspiel… er guckt ja auch schon ganz beschämt 

Broyles: “Dunham, Sie und Lincoln gehen zur ersten Ordnung und befragen diesen Lt. Agnon! Peter und September, Sie übernehmen die Schurken und Hondo! Astrid und Fauxlivia, versuchen Sie den Widerstand im Wald zu finden!”

„Lincoln, ich glaube, wir haben uns verlaufen… hier kann man gar nichts anklicken ausser dem Laden für Spielzeug und Kleinteile, in dem wir uns nichts leisten können!”

“Komisch, laut Karte sind wir im Distrikt der ersten Ordnung…”

„Guck mal, da drüben, das muss Agnon sein!”

„Guten Tag, sind Sie Lt. Agnon von der Ersten Ordnung? Haben Sie vielleicht einen Auftrag für eine mysteriöse Fremde, die sicher nicht aus der Vergangenheit kommt?”

„Oh, ja, tatsächlich habe ich gerade einen Auftrag für eine vertrauenswürdige junge Frau wie Sie!”

„Die erste Ordnung ist voll super, finden Sie nicht auch, Herr Popcornverkäufer?”

„Um Himmels Willen, was bist Du denn für eine Verrückte???”

„Sie können nicht einfach so zum Lieutenant – ich brauche erst Ihr Zeigebild!”

Vermutlich hätte Olivia lieber wild um sich geschossen, aber sie hat einen Fuss in der Tür

Mal gucken, was die Bonus-Belohnung ist… es ist ein Daten-Dingsi, mit dem man bestimmt noch tolle Dinge machen kann 🙂

Die arme Olivia holt sich noch die nächste Mission und ich mache für heute Schluss und spiele morgen als Ausgleich beim Widerstand 🙂

Wusel builds a new town part 6: Whiteman Family

It’s probably no surprise that I still can’t make good Sims, so you’ll have to believe me that these two are totally Charles Whiteman and his adopted daugther Esther who made it safely through the Throat and arrived in my BaCC 🙂

I found it hard to come up with good traits and aspirations for them… Charles is adventurous, ambitious and family-oriented. He’s looking for inner piece in life – mostly because I don’t think I’ve ever used that aspiration.

Esther is adventurous, too and wants to master mind and body.

I ran out of money while building their home, but I guess they have more than Alfred and Henry had in the beginning… of course they are living off the grid and simple living is activated.

“Hi, friends – we’re here now, too!”

“Hey, Wusel, Love Day was absolutely awful!”

“What did you expect? You came into my game a few hours before Love Day ended and the only other Sims living here are your daughter and a happily married couple… it will be better next year!”

Food might be more important right now than love anyway…

I’m really happy that only my Sims have to eat fish and not me…

Charles has a special gift for Esther…

A BIKE!

How did he get that thing into that small box?

I’m not sure if Esther needs A LOT more practice or if she’s the greatest natural ever because she can even drive through walls…

I don’t think Charles enjoys wellness… as soon as I tell him to practice yoga, he goes practice speech instead a few minutes later

Maybe he just knows that he needs to level charisma so we can get Shahara Hasan and her family into the game…

Nobody likes bills, but at least these two can pay them… not all of my families are that lucky 🙂

Henry takes over Alfred’s tasks today so his husband can learn charisma

Henry’s first masterpiece ❤️

We need 10 masterpiece paintings, 5 excellent sculptures and unlock townies so we can build a museum

After all the charisma learning poor Alfred’s fun bar is all red and as a romantic Sim he feels he hasn’t done enough romantic things latery

I think I have an idea that might help… ❤️❤️

I never realized that the poor quality dining chairs from the woodworking table don’t have a cushion… the tool tip also says the chair is uncomfortable while the others have 2 comfort 😲

It’s currently Tuesday in game – I’ll play Alfred and Henry until Friday afternoon, which is my usual time for changing families, and then I’ll add the second family

Henry was only supposed to garden for two days while his husband was learning charisma, but he discovered that he absolutely loves it – he even gets a happy moodlet for harvesting prairie grass ❤️

Wusel builds a new town part 4: Hillinghead / Ashe Family

I liked the foraging mod, but harvesting prairie grass is just as good – Alfred finds all kinds of plants for their garden and nectar, without the risk of being bitten by spiders or snakes

Even for poor challenge Sims life should consist of more than working and skilling, so I send Alfie and Henry out for a picnic

(Please don’t ask how long it took me to figure out how that picnic basket works! How many manhours did it take EA to come up with the most complicated counterintuitive way for this???)

Hey! You’re not invited and we aren’t even allowed to interact with Townies yet!

See, that’s why my Sims never leave the house 😃

Henry maxed his charisma skill 🥳

Alfred is at level 8, so the second family will be ready to move in soon 🙂

Wusel builds a new town part 3: Hillinghead / Ashe Family

New day – old problem

Alfred is frozen… He is supposed to be harvesting prairie grass and I even get messages about what he finds and he has a moodlet that he cut his finger, but he’s just sitting here eating spoiled forager stew. 

I guess I’ll take out the handful of mods I have to see if one of them is the cause…

I’m not sure how long it will last, but after taking out all mods nobody is frozen and everybody’s needs are shown in the correct color… 

Henry has the painting aspiration now instead of the cc photography one… it’s close enough I guess 🙂

Poor Henry feels like a failure… I hope Alfred is impressed by this excellent garden planter his husband made

One of the very few meals my city builders can prepare is mushroom steak… I totally get why Alfred doesn’t look happy with that 🤢

It’s raining cats and dogs – luckily we have something resembling a tiny house, but sleeping outside in the tent tonight will probably be no fun…

Are we sure nectar found outside while cutting the praire grass is tasty and safe to drink?

Alfred still needs a resetsim every now and then so he doesn’t harvest and weed while he’s sleeping in his tent, but the problem with the needs not being shown correctly seems to be gone *knocks on wood*

Henry is on a roll – he has just completed the second milestone of the painter aspiration 🥳

A lot of social bunny worthy things happened today… not

When Henry and Alfred aren’t taking care of their needs or the garden, they are mostly leveling charisma so I can get the next family into the town, building furniture or painting

If they had a bed and a toilet instead of a tent and a bush…

… their house would almost look like a house already 🙂

This completely unreachable mailbox is exactly where EA put it… 🙄

Wusel builds a new town part 2: Hillinghead / Ashe Family

Day 2 doesn’t start nearly as well as day 1 ended… I try to place a swimmable lake so Alfred and Henry can wash themselves, but the game tells my I have insufficient funds for the lake although I have more than twice as much as it costs

Next, Alfred gets bitten by a spider while foraging and now he’s sick. I just hope that’s not deadly, but I’m scared…

Until we have more money this is just a waterfall (from MTS) that’s coming from and going to nowhere… but at least they can shower, and I just won’t take any more pictures where it can be seen 🙂

The first few days living with nothing are always hard, but I hope my Sims know I’d never let anything really bad happen to them – I just enjoy the challenge 🙂

We don’t really need prairie grass without any animals, but maybe Alfred will find some things he can plant…

Both Alfred and Henry have discovered that they are actually quite adventurous Sims – I wonder how they came up with that 😀

Henry reached level 4 of the handiness skill and could build his first functional object – a toilet

So I gave them a few walls to go with it – perfect timing, too, because the rainy phase of spring started

Alfred is completely frozen and doesn’t react to anything, even after resetting him *sigh*

They also both have the bug where the needs are shown in the wrong color

I guess it’s time to travel to the fishing place or somewhere to help poor Freddie 🙂

Wusel builds a new town: Family Hillinghead / Ashe Part 1

My husband and I have been watching a great show on Netflix called Bodies (go check it out if you haven’t already!) and once more I thought that I should create these characters as Sims and give them much happier lifes than they had on the show.

So here we are with our first two protagonists, Alfred Hillinghead and Henry Ashe. They gave up on life in the year 1890 and travelled to some more or less modern future. Probably around our time 🙂 

I guess it must be really hard to be thrown into a new life like that, so they have a big piece of land in Chestnut Ridge where they live off the grid and with simple living activated, but most of all happily together.

Alfred is a loyal, proper, romantic and domestic guy who wants his lineage to succeed in life.

His husband Henry (sorry, I’m terrible at creating Sims… let’s just imagine he totally looks like Henry) is a good, creative muser who has a photographic eye (cc trait) and wants to become a photo-artist, which is a cc aspiration 🙂

What they have is their love for each other and lots and lots of space… and that’s it for now. But we’ll get there, guys – don’t worry!

I’ve downloaded some mods from BrazenLotus

so they can gather wood and stuff like that. 

I’ll be more or less following these BaCC rules

although they haven’t been updated in a while, so I might make some changes to make up for that or just because.

A few moments later they are proud owners of their own well, a storage for their wood and two woodworking tables… it seems they need to forage wood to build all the new things I downloaded for them.

“Henry!!! I saw a scary snake while foraging!”

“Oh no… maybe you should help me with the woodwork instead so we have some furniture for our new home soon!”

“Okay, you make barstools and I make an endtable… I hope we learn new recipes soon!”

Hm… I usually say yes to whatever my Sims want, but I don’t think that’s a good idea, Henry… it will get better, you’re just upset because you pinched your finger! It will be fine!

“Hey, you’ve both pinched your fingers and are uncomfortable… do you want to go fishing for a while so you have something for dinner tonight?”

“Flirt? Oh yes, we definitely want to flirt!” ❤️❤️

Our first fish – Henry is a natural!

*sigh*

The fish Henry caught disappear after roasting in the fire, so my two adventurers get marshmallows instead – those are not really filling, though!

The disappearing fish is neither mine nor their fault, so after Alfred and Henry have put up their tent and built a campfire I deactivate simple living for a moment so they can have some veggie dogs

So far they have

collected wood

built some furniture

caught fish

collected a mushroom and a berry that Alfred can’t identify yet

planted the mushroom in planter they built themselves

Is that a successful first day or what? 🙂

I think they agree with me and are celebrating 🙂
