Red Monkey/Blue Dragon question; did master Wu always know about Kai being a monkey & just pulled another ‘there’s something I haven’t told you’ moment, or is it more like a ‘Lloyd is the green ninja’ situation where Wu literally had NO CLUE? Bc I think either could be p damn funny

I'm SO late I apologize i promise I haven't forgotten about the au i just have a LOT of different ninjago related things i wanna do so it gets spread out lol

To answer your question!

Sensei Wu absolutely did NOT know. He knows a lot of things, but not even he knew about this. Alot of that had to do with the fact that Ray and Maya didn't tell Wu that Kai wasn't their biological kid so for all purposes Wu had no reason to doubt their word. He had a feeling something was off about Kai, but with all the other chaotic things that then happened in the show he didn't bother looking further into it

So when Kai and Jay comes back, and Kai has monkey traits so say that he's shocked lile everyone else is to say nothing

Jay will forever remember the shocked face it was a most shocked they had ever seen him be
