Ahaha this is a tragic fanfiction I wrote allll the way back in September of 2017. I never posted it, because I had a plan, but said plan changed. So here it is now! I still like the concept, though the execution could have been better.
Anyways, enjoy!

Calling all Tellyheads for one last reminder!
Tomorrow, Sunday, marks 5 years since the first page of the first chapter of The Property of Hate was uploaded on ComicFury! As we know, this week won’t be featuring an update from Mod due to the universe happening in the way that it does (plus she deserves the time off), which means we get to have this day for the fanbase to come together and mark the occasion to say: “Thank you, so much, for this story”, and reminisce about our time here, in whatever way best suits each individual!
So, tomorrow, shall we all go in for a reread over on the Tapastic archive and see if we can’t it it trending? Get some of that ad-rev going? Maybe pick up a set of official stickers, or whatever else strikes your fancy, and then talk and share celebratory fanwork tomorrow and throughout this next week? Let’s go for the tag #TPoHTellython for sharing all our mayhem! I’ll make a sideblog too to collect it if there’s enough interest.
If you haven’t read this comic, or don’t know what I’m talking about in the least bit, please, join us! It’s great seeing new people discover this comic! And what better time to do so than now? Go for it! If you like gorgeous art, interesting and entertaining characters, stories about stories and unique Wonderlandian fantasy worlds, female heroes and diverse range of additional cast, and a delightful amount of movie references, then I would wholeheartedly recommend it! This story has been and continues to be a good thing that makes me happy despite all that the real world has thrown our way over these past few years.
Hope to see you in the tags tomorrow!

Gosh if I don’t wish I could’ve been able to do more for this, but… Time and school and stress combined badly. As it is, it’s something, and sort of a personal feeling about what this comic has meant to me over these past few years. Under the cut some incoherent rambling about how I got into this fandom and what it’s been like being here.
tldr this comic is one of my favorite and welcoming things that never fails to pick me up just a little bit even when I’m not doing so great
I stumbled across Modmad and her work, once upon a time when tumblr lost its collective mind over a clock and a notebook. I had to admit, that (human) clock was fine indeed, and so I kept running across this one person and their really cool art, because it’d gotten quite popular specifically. She had some of her own characters up too, when I checked her blog, strange characters with a tv head and a child with boots. They were new, odd, but… Appealing. Intriguing. I looked through more of these two in her tag, trying to figure out what manner of comic “The Property of Hate” could possibly be, because it just seemed to interesting to not investigate! My internet service was terrible at the time. TERRIBLE. Still is, but like, this was way worse. I could only chip away at a handful of pages at a time, and boy THAT was rough going, because for the first time in a while I was just lost in some fictional world, fell in love with new characters. It was nice to have found, because school was starting to get stressful, winter was starting to get dark, and depression had started to creep it’s way into the fringes of me. The Property of Hate was a world of beauty and color and wonder at a time where those things were starting to become harder and harder to find in me and my world. I caught up right at the beginning of POV. I remember double-taking because I nearly missed the panel where Assok first poked his head out of a crack in the ground. Sundays were one of the major things I looked forward to that winter and the next, and what a thing to look forward to! This was the first webcomic I’d ever read, and the real-time updates and speculation and excitement for a page were a new and enjoyable experience and this fandom has been absolutely fantastic.
Over time the comic has pinged on themes that I felt deeply at the time, mostly stories, characters, and the page where Pitch faded out hit around the same time I’d realized I needed to let go of a long-brainstormed project of my own and boy it hit hard. I love it for that reason.
Winter is still dark, school is still stressful, depression gains and loses ground on any given day. But I can still look forward to new pages in this world of wonder and color, which has inspired me on so many creative levels, even if that inspiration is merely “just try”.
Thank you, Sarah Jolley, so much, for sharing this story with us. Its meant a lot to many of us, myself very much included.
#my posts#my drawings#TPoHTellython#The Property of Hate#TPoH#heh#so there's my bit#or part of it anyhow#the other part will be spamming EVERYONE w this comic#reblogging any other celebratory stuff#and maybe going back n collecting a masterpost of cool fanwork like videos n shtuff#anyone have any fanwork they want me to share on this celebratory day? come bug me w it i'll put it up#this week will be the week I Wont Shut Up About This Thing (not that i ever dont anyway)

5-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TPOH TELLYTHON!
Well, more of a blog-a-thon, but the pun could not be resisted. But anyhow! The fact of the matter is, we’re about a month away from the day in 2012 that a certain TV and Hero first set on a journey to faraway lands!
You (yes, you!) are invited to participate, this February 26th, in celebrating 5 years of the very excellent webcomic known as The Property of Hate!
How are we celebrating, you may ask? Well, just about any way that you’d like to! Do you like to draw fan art? Do you like to write stories? Make videos? Fanmixes? Voice act? Cosplay? All such creative works (plus some I’ve inevitably forgotten) are absolutely welcome!
Not the creative type? (or, even if you are!) Tell us about how and when you joined the fandom! Your experiences with it and the comic! Reminisce about the good old days, like when we got that Light Entertainment comic, or that time we were all scared senseless of Assok.
Have you had your eye on some stickers over on Redbubble or a mug on Society6? Or perhaps that lovely signed physical book? Access to exclusive Patreon art? Here’s your excuse to go for it!
Lastly, I’d like to suggest a reread of the comic, over on Tapastic. Why Tapastic? There are two reasons. 1: I would feel very bad if we crashed Mod’s personal site again, and 2: Getting the comic to trend would be an excellent addition to these festivities! And, might get some more people to join in, too!
Now, how are we keeping track of all this mayhem? Use the tag “#TPoH Tellython” and/or “#TPoHTellython”! If there’s enough interest, I’ll even make a sideblog to pull together everything out of said tags, at which point giving it a quick @ in that direction will do just fine as well.
So, the rundown?
WHEN: Sunday, February 26th WHAT: Fanworks! Reminiscing! Buying things! A reread on Tapastic! WHO: You, if you’d like to!
As a last note, while posts and fanworks should post ON the 26th, or the week following, you can totally buy any merch ahead of time if you want to have them on hand day-of. And, come bug me if you’ve got any questions about this!
#TPoH#The Property of Hate#TPoH Tellython#TPoHTellython#*yelling*#HERE WE GO?#I THINK THIS WORKS?#we'll see how it goes!

My offerings will be pitiful compared to most, but they will have all my love for this comic in them and that's all that matters.
Another year of The Property of Hate! (almost)
My my my, time flies, doesn’t it?
On Monday, February 26th, about one month from this posting, this wonderful webcomic will have been running for six years now!
Last year I tried to make a kind of unofficial/unorganized fan event out of it, using the tag #TPoHTellython, and I think it’d be a great thing to do again! A day, or maybe the whole following week, where we celebrate and post our various kinds of “Thank You!”s and appreciation to ModMad for her gorgeous and enthralling comic, and to the fandom for being the awesome place that it is!
I’ll try to maybe actually remind people about this as time goes on, but in the meantime, feel free to share this around, or begin to scheme stuff!
What kinds of things can be posted for this? Well, any! Art, fic, voice acting, videos, edits, cosplay, OCs, your experiences with the comic and fandom, reflections on the past year (how about that photo-finish Kickstarter, eh?) and reminiscing on old hi-jinks, pictures of merch (because what BETTER time is there to pick up a stack of Assok sickers?), memes, leaving nice comments on the posts people have made about any of the above, convincing your friends to read the comic, or anything else that is cool and I am not clever enough to imagine yet! The only real caveat is that whatever it is should be mostly TPoH-focused, because even though Mod’s other (fan and original) work is absolutely A+, and I love crossovers as much as the next fangirl, this is a “celebrating TPoH” thing.
This isn’t a sign-up-for-thing or another fanwork-exchanging-thing, because I do not personally have the energy to keep track of that, and also to hopefully keep it something low-pressure and accessible to the whole of the fandom. Plus, if you haven’t read it yet, what better time than now to go ahead and do so?
So! 6 years. Feb 26th. #TPoHTellython. Send those Good Vibes and celebration out there!

So I’m trying to do a doodle of Hero for #TPoHTellython today and I feel like Hero is too pale, but I took the tone from the comic? So did I pick the wrong page?
#I'm horrible with skin tones especially brown ones#they always looks lifeless#and pale ones will get there eventually or I've given up at that point and who the fuck cares?#wiki babbling on?

So this is my first piece for the 6-year anniversary of TPOH! :D This took... Like a week to do. The cane part alone took 4.5 hours, and the whole Negative segment is 78 frames! And look I had to make the gif an MP4 since it was waaay too big for tumblr!
Hope you guys all like it! :D I’ve only been in this fandom since August but it’s AMAZING.
