Another year of The Property of Hate! (almost)
My my my, time flies, doesn’t it?
On Monday, February 26th, about one month from this posting, this wonderful webcomic will have been running for six years now!
Last year I tried to make a kind of unofficial/unorganized fan event out of it, using the tag #TPoHTellython, and I think it’d be a great thing to do again! A day, or maybe the whole following week, where we celebrate and post our various kinds of “Thank You!”s and appreciation to ModMad for her gorgeous and enthralling comic, and to the fandom for being the awesome place that it is!
I’ll try to maybe actually remind people about this as time goes on, but in the meantime, feel free to share this around, or begin to scheme stuff!
What kinds of things can be posted for this? Well, any! Art, fic, voice acting, videos, edits, cosplay, OCs, your experiences with the comic and fandom, reflections on the past year (how about that photo-finish Kickstarter, eh?) and reminiscing on old hi-jinks, pictures of merch (because what BETTER time is there to pick up a stack of Assok sickers?), memes, leaving nice comments on the posts people have made about any of the above, convincing your friends to read the comic, or anything else that is cool and I am not clever enough to imagine yet! The only real caveat is that whatever it is should be mostly TPoH-focused, because even though Mod’s other (fan and original) work is absolutely A+, and I love crossovers as much as the next fangirl, this is a “celebrating TPoH” thing.
This isn’t a sign-up-for-thing or another fanwork-exchanging-thing, because I do not personally have the energy to keep track of that, and also to hopefully keep it something low-pressure and accessible to the whole of the fandom. Plus, if you haven’t read it yet, what better time than now to go ahead and do so?
So! 6 years. Feb 26th. #TPoHTellython. Send those Good Vibes and celebration out there!
