Remembering Daffney Unger ( Shannon Spruill ) on the three year anniversary of her passing .

Daffney was a wrestler and a manager . She was known for her time in World Championship Wrestling ( WCW ) , and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling ( TNA). She also spent time on the Independent Wrestling circuit. She made her debut in 1999 as the on screen girlfriend of David Flair , the son of The Nature Boy Ric Flair. She managed him and Crowbar. Her gimmick was inspired by Mallory Knox , one of the main characters in the film , ‘ Natural Born Killers ’. She also stated that comic book character, Harley Quinn , also inspired her gimmick. She made her in ring debut against Miss Elizabeth in 2000. She also became a WCW Cruiserweight Co-Champion alongside Crowbar after they defeated Chris Candido and Tammy Lynn Sytch ( FKA Sunny) . She also made an appearance in the Chicago based Women’s Wrestling Promotion, SHIMMER. She was also a TNA Knockout , debuting in 2002 as a manager under her real name , Shannon , and as Shark Girl. She went on make a few more TNA appearances in 2008 -2011. She retired in 2011. Tragically , she passed away in 2021 at the age of 46 due to suicide.
