Ayyyy glad you enjoy it~ You read that right!! I read book 1 when it first came out and absolutely HATEEEEEED it. I think it was a mixture of completely misconstructed expectations (I went in expecting adorable romance bc fandoms will be fandoming), my tastes being way different back then, and to be perfectly honest, my lack of critical thinking and misinterpretation of the book and its themes. The only stuff I liked was the faerie worldbuilding and the act 3 resolution, so when I started reading again in 2021 as a coping mechanism and became hungry for fae books, I reread TCP for cringe purposes (much like I am now reading that copycat). Cue me several days later having consumed the entire series and cried real tears over it as I have to make peace with the fact that I was WRONG and I loved those books SO MUCH and they even BUSTED DOWN MY ART BLOCK FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MONTHS. I've told this story several times and documented my 100k+ enemies to lovers slowburn journey in my tfota liveblog tag, so if you wanna see it happen in real time you can~

“For the love of god, why?”

Short answer: to save time and money.

Long answer: Sharing art was getting burdensome. Neocities hosts static websites built with html, css, and javascript—which is awesome for its mission, to encourage people to create future-proof websites. But this also means that every page is created and maintained by hand. I handle every little link and file and bit of code, and if I want to do site-wide changes, I have to push those by hand, too. This takes time, and so does writing image descriptions and cross-posting art to other websites. It became normal for sharing art to eat up an entire day.

I later created Basedt.net in WordPress, so that I didn’t have to worry about managing link hierarchies, which was a big timewaster on my old webcomic. I liked working in WordPress well enough, and I knew I would benefit from being able to use PHP to manage the sheer amount of stuff that’s on M0R1BUND.com. I was also paying double for webhosting through two different services, when I really didn’t need to…. So… I knew it was inevitable that I would consolidate the two at some point. It was time.

I do really love Neocities and I’m sorry to let it go. I encourage anyone who wants to learn web design and create their own website to start there.

Anyway, that’s how I ended up in hell for 6 months.

“What’s changed?”

Most things. I’m most excited about the quality-of-life stuff, like being able to sort art by character/location/world, or being able to move between individual pieces instead of having to return to the gallery landing page. There are lots of things I want to add, but my soft deadline for this was the new year, so I focused on recreating M0R1BUND.com as it existed before… well… this.

I’ve also edited most of my writing. This site is old, and the art is even older, it felt good to give it some TLC.

There are still a few things missing from the new site:

The Woods and RANSOM. They aren’t really representative of Basedt or Mercasor anymore, and I was not a competent writer in 2018. If I re-share them, it will be in the distant future.  

Some of my Those Who Went Missing stuff. I haven’t been playing TWWM publicly, so this is lower priority right now. It will happen when it happens.  

Some twines. They haven’t adjusted to the new filepath format yet. Killswitch is here, though :)

If you need them urgently for some reason, I can share them with you? but that seems doubtful haha.

Links to pages on the old M0R1BUND.com are broken and will remain broken until I set up redirections to the new M0R1BUND.com. I have no idea how long that will take! … Hopefully not long, given the new semester is here.

My toxic trait is thinking I could fix any bad movie if given the power such as Slender Man (2018). Rather than doing whatever happened in that movie, I would do Grave Encounters meets Finding Bigfoot/Expedition Bigfoot (and maybe some EverymanHYBRID as a treat). If you haven't seen any of the things listed above the pitch would be:

A documentary attempt to uncover what really happened to the popular cast of a TLC Bigfoot Hunting TV Show after their sudden disappearance while filming the season final of the show. The documentary crew finds footage of the cast faking proof of Bigfoot however within this footage they find other odd things notes that none of the cast claim to have written, markings on trees, pretty much anything not Bigfoot-related but rather Slenderman-related. Rinse // Repeat till the whole cast is dead. Then end it on a cliffhanger of one of the cast members being alive despite footage early very clearly showing his head being detached from his body and now he wants to tell his story to the documentary crew.

I don’t know what’s wilder: the fact this is AJs first ever 5 star singles match (his only other 5 star match was a triple threat in TNA with Joe and Christopher Daniels) or that I had to see people say he was washed for the last few months. Man is 47 years old and had a 5 star match with Cody of all people.

AJ Styles should be spoken of in the same breath as the likes of Bryan, Kenny and Okada. A modern day GOAT.

Unbelievable that his matches against Cena, Bryan and Ambrose (specifically at TLC) weren’t 5 stars! I’m in shock because I thought they were.

Man, I miss 2016-2018, where Tumblr and Twitter were always talking about AJ and his amazing, sorry, how phenomenal he is! We always said he is truly one of the best ever and the inspiration of so many young wrestlers today, like Ospreay.

Hirobel 90 Day Fiance Part 2

Good morning, afternoon, or evening! Thank you for taking the time out of your day or night to read my post.

About an hour ago, I posted a short summary about how Mirabel and Hiro would make a perfect 90 Day Fiance couple. As such, I wrote a timeline for their time on TLC.

Here it is:

In December of 2016, Mirabel and Hiro, both 21 years old, meet in downtown San Francisco, while Mirabel is on a college field trip.

Mirabel and Hiro, 22 years old, star in season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days, filmed in 2017 and aired in 2018.

Mirabel and Hiro, 23 years old, star in season 1 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, filmed in 2018, and aired in 2019.

Mirabel and Hiro, both 23 going on 24 years old, marry on January 26, 2019.

Mirabel and Hiro, 24 years old, star in season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, filmed in 2019 and aired in 2020.

Strayteez's Tiniest Fans - What We Know About the Children of the Popular Idols

Staytiny (the nickname for the group's fanbase) pride themselves on knowing all about the lives of their beloved idols - public and private. The members are very candid with staytiny, sharing both highs and lows; but one aspect of their lives that the group (consisting of 16 members - Bang Chan, Park Seonghwa, Lee Minho, Kim Hongjoong, Jeong Yunho, Kang Yeosang, Choi San, Song Mingi, Seo Changbin, Jung Wooyoung, Hwang Hyunjin, Han Jisung, Lee Felix, Kim Seungmin, Choi Jongho, and Yang Jeongin) remains tight-lipped on is their children.

Five members of the 16-piece group have young children - Park Seonghwa, Kim Hongjoong, Seo Changbin, Jung Wooyoung, and Lee Felix. All have spoken of their desire to keep the children out of the spotlight, but they do occasionally share details of their babies' lives.

Here's what we know about the idols' kiddos: 

Park Seonghwa

Park is the second oldest in the group (behind Bang Chan)and is the only member with two children. His first child - a 4-year-old girl named Reiyun - was conceived via surrogate in 2020. The 26-year-old vocalist has been very open about wanting children since before the group debuted in 2018, as well as his experience with surrogacy.

"We had really just begun establishing ourselves, and it was tough not being able to be present throughout the entire pregnancy. But when I held Reiyun in my arms for the first time it was like none of the roadblocks we faced had ever existed"

Since then we have been treated to a few rare glimpses into the baby girl's life, including an adorable guest appearance on 'Kingdom: Legendary War'(though her face was blurred out). Despite not seeing her much in the group's filmed content, Park has shared a handful of adorable shots on social media cataloging his daughter's life. 

Two years after the birth of Reiyun, Park welcomed another daughter - Tessa. The girl was adopted as an infant from Africa, and while the specific country has not been publicized, many Staytiny have speculated that Tessa was adopted from Libya or Sudan - both of which have been experiencing dangerous civil unrest for years. There aren't many public photos that include the toddler - who is likely nearing two years of age - but the few that the world has been privy to are beautiful and heartwarming.

Despite not posting many pictures of the tot, Seonghwa often posts on his stories about one thing in particular - baby Tessa's hair! The idol has spoken about how worried he was about taking care of his baby's curls even before she came home:

"It might seem like a silly thing to worry about to some, but I was so nervous! When I first met Tessa her head was shaved, but I know how important hair can be in developing one's identity. Even though she will grow up in Korea, Africa is where her roots are and I never want her to feel like those roots aren't important"

Several sources have indicated that Park has taken on a very active role in caring for Tessa's hair, even going as far as traveling to shops that specialize in braiding and black hair (a rarity in Korea) in order to learn how to maintain his baby's hair and skin. From the looks of it, this attentive Dad has it down, frequently posting cute shots from 'wash days' and his baby girl's latest hairstyles!

Staytiny (particularly international fans)regularly take to X(formerly twitter)to gush about the wonderful TLC the idol shows his daughter's cute coils!

Kim Hongjoong

A testament to his hyung's parenting, Kim Hongjoong - the fourth eldest in the group and one of the group's two leaders (the other being the eldest, Bang Chan)- adopted his son Lukas around the same time Park was finalizing his adoption of baby Tessa. Kim adopted Lukas from Austria when the tot was around two years old (making Lukas around the same age as Seonghwa's first daughter). The four-year-old has already captured the hearts of the internet for one main reason - his fashionable Daddy is always posting ootd's!

Now, we think little Lukas slays in anything and everything, but Kim has faced heaps of criticism regarding how he dresses his little prince. The 25-year-old producer and rapper frequently posts shots of the toddler in skirts, dresses, and sequins - as well as other clothing items that are traditionally reserved for girls.

Despite the harsh comments he receives, Hongjoong rarely pays any mind to his internet trolls - but when he does it's always with a little sass and a lot of grace:

"When people make ignorant comments about me I always let it roll off my back because really don't care for those opinions. But what I will not tolerate is small-minded outsiders attacking my son for his clothing choices. I pride myself in letting him wear the things he likes regardless of whether it's ballcaps or ballgowns"

Seo Changbin

Perhaps the Strayteez child we know the most about is Seo Changbin's son Hajoon - though, not by choice. Unfortunately, details about the idol's son were made public three years ago when Seo was caught up in a dramatic custody battle with the child's mother. Due to the group's rising popularity, the trial instantly became a hot topic once KQYP (the group's agency) addressed the public scrutiny surrounding it.

"With heavy hearts, we share the news that rising KQYP idol Seo Changbin of Strayteez has been sued for custody of his two-year-old son, Seo Hajoon, by the child's Mother. Though the circumstances surrounding the birth of the child were not ideal, KQYP has supported Changbin every step of the way as he's raised his son. We apologize to Staytiny for having to find out this way, as our intentions were to introduce Hajoon to the world when he turned three"

Though the announcement came as a shock, once Staytiny learned the details of Seo's circumstances they were up in arms supporting the then 22-year-old rapper. Through both official KQYP channels and news coverage of the trial, it was revealed that little Hajoon was the result of a one-night stand between Seo and the baby's mother - a controversial aspect of the trial that Seo has addressed several times since.

Despite the circumstances of the birth, the trial (and the company) revealed that the young idol had been raising Hajoon as a single father since the baby was two months old; an incredible feat considering that Seo was actively participating in all the group's schedules - including hours spent practicing and producing, traveling, filming, and performing. Many, including the child's mother (who we are choosing not to name), were adamant in the notion that Changbin was not fit to be a father due to his busy life as an idol. However, the fact that the young star had already been the primary caretaker for years was a strong testament to his competency as a Father. That - paired with glowing testimonies from his Stayteez brothers and the staff at KQYP - ultimately led to the court settling in favor of Seo maintaining full custody of the infant.

Since then, Changbin has kept his son almost completely out of the spotlight - and rightfully so after what they went through! However, he does post the occasional photo of Hajoon - much to Staytiny's delight. However, rather than posting more current photos, this self-described 'sappy dad' seems to be much more fond of posting sweet throwback photos of his son's earliest days - so cute!

Jung Wooyoung

Next up is Jung Wooyoung - the member of Stayteez whose adoption announcement was the least shocking to Staytiny! The 24-year-old dancer's love of children has been well documented, and over the years Staytiny has gotten to see it on several occasions!

Additionally, Jung is one of the only members with two siblings (the others being Bang Chan, Felix, and Jeongin). Both of his siblings are brothers - one is older but the other is younger by 16 years! Jung's older brother prefers to live a rather private life, but the idol is always posting content with his younger brother, whose name is Kyungmin.

Staytiny love the cute relationship between the brothers, so when KQYP Announced that Jung would be adopting a child of his own the fans couldn't have been more excited!

The 24-year-old dancer adopted his baby girl from China and her name is Biao - which means "little tiger". And a little tiger she is! The two-year-old seems full of sugar and spice and looks to be just as cheeky as her Daddy!

Lee Felix

Last, but certainly not least, is the youngest member of Strayteez with a child - Mr.Sunshine himself, Lee Felix! The 23-year-old Australian is best known for his deep, raspy vocals but that's not the only way to identify the idol! The singer and rapper is often recognized by Staytiny (and even non-fans) thanks to one adorable feature - his freckles!

Being no stranger to breathtaking visuals, Lee seemed fated to raise a child with looks just as special as his own! When the idol adopted his baby girl from an unknown country in Southeast Asia - she hadn't yet been named, despite being over a year old. The star has spoken of how upsetting it was to find the toddler sitting alone in the home's nursery, and that it was even more heartbreaking when he learned why - the girl had been abandoned and shunned because of her own rare feature, her big green eyes!

"A worker stopped me - insisting that I not go near the baby. When I asked why, the woman said she was bad luck because she had 'witch eyes'. Right then and there, I knew she was the child for me"

Naturally, the idol decided that it was only fit to name the girl after something that reflected the timeless beauty of her green eyes - Emerald!

Felix has previously mentioned that she was extremely shy when he first brought her home, but it seems the idol's positive parenting lessons have been paying off - as his daughter has grown as bright and vivacious as her namesake.

(We also love how Felix chooses to hide the baby's mouth for privacy, rather than her eyes - likely in an effort to make sure his little girl's eyes are always celebrated!)

Despite the different races, ethnicities, and backgrounds of the group's six children - their familial bond is undeniable! Plus! Not only do the kiddos have lots of cousins to keep them company, but they also have some pretty cool uncles!
