Bad Batch Season 3
I was asleep for a good moment. Then I saw visions of Hunter and Wrecker being the ones to die at the end of the season while Omega, Crosshair and Echo are too survive.
another thing is that in another part of my bad batch dreams is that Tech, as CX-2 had Hunter in binds whole guiding him to the shuttle silently before holding a deep conversation with Hunter.
then, Wrecker would seize Tech aka CX-2 much to the latter’s displeasure while, an unusually alive Plo Koon watched!

Interrupting briefly my current posting habits to pay tribute to both this year's May the 4th as well as the earliest content this blog was about, which was, albeit for a short period of time, Star Wars centric

Rules: post the last line from your current wip and tag as many people as you want. tagged by @loveoaths
Read it here: What does the T in TK stand for anways? (This is the 1st line. I cannot post the last line due to MAJOR spoilers)
Something feels out of place when you wake up the next morning. The blue glow is gone, for one. When you check the roster, Dave’s number has been erased. It makes sense—of course it does—a dead man isn’t going to report to duty, but the change feels jarring all the same. There’s no pause, no time to think, the vast, well-oiled machine that is the Empire keeps rolling on.
You feel a queasy little jolt in your gut when you realize close to a quarter of the duty roster has been replaced, all of them are new recruits that have been bumped up into a senior position. The casualty numbers are much higher than what they’ve been reporting.
You can barely stomach breakfast. When you return to the dorm Dave’s stuff is gone and his bunk has been stripped down to its bare, metal frame.
You stand there for a long time, your arms and legs feel like they’ve been filled with lead. Dave use to have this weirdly shaped rock on his nightstand, you remember. A souvenir from some planet or another. Did they pack it up and ship it back to his family? Or did they just toss it out the airlock along with all the other junk?
And then your alarm beeps, so you go and clock in.
#stormtrooper ocs#the mandalorian#star wars#my writing#what does the t in tk stand for anyways?#i combine the two most horrifying things i can think of: facism + working a 9-5 job#ur coworker has been brutally killed by the uncaring military industrial complex#and u have to deal with the horror of covering his shift :/

Nope. Complete AI bullshit. Google doodle also dates the screenshot as originating today and no previous mentions of those names.
Though there are gay Star Wars characters such as toxic yuri practictioner Dr Aphra, the gay slug Gido, random stormtrooper that was banging Tarkin to hopefully give his mouse droid son a better life, playersexual bisexual video game romance woman, and whatever Luke and Biggs had going on in this deleted scene.
Thanks google
#R2 and 3PO were too obvious answers#also the random stormtrooper was TK-421 who Luke killed for his armor#making that the first Star Wars case of gay on gay violence#star wars#glup shit posting

Cowboy Like Me | d.d. | 12
Din Djarin x princess!reader
Word Count: 1.8k
Warnings: Murder, mentions of kidnapping
Author’s Note: Getting into problem causing <3
Series Masterlist | Talk to Me!
The Plot
“Excuse me?”
She was poking her head out her bedroom door, glancing between the two stormtroopers who guarded her door. They glanced down at her through their visors then between each other. She stood with her hands neatly in front of her, as if holding her dress up.
“Yes, princess?” The one on the right asked.
“Could one of you come in here and help me fasten the hooks on my dress?” She came off innocent, looking up at them with a sheepish smile. She motioned to her back. “I can’t reach them myself and I don’t wish to bother Isowen so early.”
The guards glanced between one another again before the one on the left shrugged. The trooper on the right followed her into the bedroom, asking something about the hooks and why she wore them if she couldn’t reach them. She rolled her eyes as the door shut behind him, just in time for Din to shove his elbow into the guard’s head. Before the trooper could yell out, Din slashed his knife across his throat, letting the guard drop to a heap on the floor. She scrunched up her nose at the sight, looking up at Din with a small frown.
“Do you really think this will work?” She asked as Din started to peel the armor off the stormtrooper, replacing his own with each piece.
“If I’m going to ensure you’re safe until we get that tracker out of your arm,” Din pointed out, lifting the trooper’s chest piece over his head. “This is going to work just fine, or get me killed; we have to find out one way or another.”
“That is actually the worst rationale I have ever heard,” she pointed out, lifting the helmet of the trooper off his head. She held it out to Din, who stepped into her closet to change out of his. When he stepped out, she gave him an appraising look, but then scrunched her nose up once more. “I prefer the beskar.”
“You have no idea,” he mumbled, lifting the body of the trooper over his shoulder and shutting him in her closet. “You really don’t think your maid will say anything about him?”
“Isowen is loyal to me,” she promised, looking up at him. “No one else.”
He walked out of the closet again, gathering the blaster off the floor and turning to look down at her. She stood in front of the mirror of her vanity, attempting to fix her hair, before she turned back to him. He nodded once, motioning for the door. As she stepped away, however, he grabbed her hand and pulled her back into his arms. She looked up at him –into the visor of an enemy –and gave a soft smile.
“I’m going to get you out of here,” he promised. His hand trailed over the holster that was covered by the pastel pinks of her skirt. “And the moment I do –I’m going to marry you.”
“You –,”
“All good in there?” The other trooper called through the door, knocking.
She sighed, glancing over her shoulder. Then she put the mask of innocence back on. “Yes, yes –We’re coming now.”
Din rested his hand on the small of her back, leading her to the bedroom door. When she opened it, he dropped his hand and took his stance as a stormtrooper.
“We’re to escort you downstairs,” the trooper explained, nodding down the hallway. “Credence is waiting on you.”
She swallowed hard, glancing at Din. He wasn’t looking directly at her, his visor pointed down the hall, but she knew his eyes were cast towards her. Then she nodded, holding her hands behind her back and standing tall, and made her way down to meet her fate.
*****
Din stood back against the wall, opposite of his “partner.” The trooper –whose TK moniker was RG-1122 –had asked him about her dress, and if he “got a good look.” Which prompted Din to “accidentally” jab him with the end of his blaster. Now, they stood on opposite sides of a dining room, where Calisto, Credence and her ate in silence. Din was across from his princess, eyes trained on her.
She was clearly uncomfortable, hand trembling each time she brought her food to her mouth. Din had to repress the urge to comfort her, to reach out to her. If he wanted to get her out of the palace, he needed to play the part better. But her confidence from before had disappeared, faded into the silence that filled the room.
“Have you considered your wedding gown yet, my dear?” Credence asked, breaking that silence, to address her.
She shook her head, one hand slipping off the table. Her eyes glanced at Din momentarily before looking to her mother and back to Credence. He was certain she was touching the dagger under her dress; he hoped it brought her comfort when he couldn’t.
“I have not, no,” she replied, voice soft but not the same softness she reserved for him or Grogu. It was a softness that suggested she wanted her voice to be hidden.
“I do like a plunging neckline,” Credence suggested, and Din gripped his blaster tight as the old man’s head visibly tilted down as he stared at her cleavage. “You would look lovely in something like that green dress you wore before being taken.”
Din almost scoffed. Taken. As if Din had been the reason she left this nightmare of a place. But he bit his tongue, glancing at her mother, who wasn’t even listening to the conversation. Calisto was reading over a tablet, eyes narrowed.
“I do not have that dress any longer.” Which Din knew was a lie, as she had worn it for him. She wouldn’t wear it for anyone but him now.
“A pity.” Credence waved his hand absently. “You can have it recreated in white.”
She just nodded. Calisto stood suddenly, pushing her plate away from her. Din stood ready, eyeing the woman carefully.
“Credence, your presence has been requested at the senate to give your official statement to withdraw your name.”
“I will not give my word until we are married,” Credence countered, standing up.
Din turned his attention to her, as she gripped her fork tight. They talked about her like she wasn’t even there, and Din hated every second of it. He couldn’t imagine how awful it felt for her.
Calisto rolled her eyes, picking up her tablet and handing it over. “You have no choice. Gideon is making his move, and it is me or you. And you are not in his favor.”
“And you are, Calisto?”
Calisto looked to her now, a rather sinister smile spreading over her lips. “Oh, I will be. When your lovely wife brings me the child.”
Both Din and her attention snapped to Calisto. Her eyes widened and she shot from her seat, chair clattering to the floor behind her. RG-1122 stepped forward, pointing his blaster at the back of her head. Din, however, pointed his blaster at him.
“You will not touch that child,” she growled, pointing at Calisto with an anger he had never seen before. “You will get him over my dead body.”
“That can be arranged,” Calisto hissed back, stepping around the table to approach her. “Do you really think you have a choice in this matter?” She yanked her daughter's arm out harshly, pushing the sleeve up. A dull, intermittent flashing could be seen just under the skin. “I control your every move.”
“You control nothing,” she sneered, yanking her arm back from Calisto’s grip.
“You’re right, I don’t.” Calisto shoved her back, pointing at Credence. “He does, as your husband.”
Credence reached out to grab her, but Din took half a step forward. She shot him a warning look, telling him silently to leave it. She steadied herself, slipping just past Credence’s touch, and gathered her skirts.
“I will not give up that child,” she promised, looking between the two right now. “The Mandalorian will cut you down where you stand if you try.”
“One Mandalorian against an army —I think you overestimate his abilities.”
“I think he would like his odds.”
Oh, and he really did.
*****
“You need to return to Sorgan,” she ordered as he escorted her back to her room. Her voice was low, commanding. One that showed off the title she possessed.
Din didn’t like it. Not right now, at least.
The other trooper had been ordered to stay back with Calisto, leaving Din to return her. The only one to question them was Isowen, though all she asked was if he needed anything. She had given Isowen a thankful look, then asked her to keep an eye out for them.
“I’m not leaving you here alone,” he argued, pushing her door open.
“You have to stand out here,” she reminded him, leaning against her door frame as she looked up at him. He huffed in annoyance before stepping out of the room. She closed the door softly, but tapped on it, to make sure he could hear. “Din, you have to protect Grogu.” He stood at attention outside the door, listening closely as she spoke. “Go back to Sorgan, retrieve him and bring him back here by the end of the week.”
“If you have a plan, you need to tell me.”
“If I tell you, you’re going to attempt to stop me.”
“This isn’t a game —,”
“And I am not playing one.”
He glanced down the hall, where Isowen stood off to the side. She was glancing around the corner, then back at him. The twi’lek nodded once, and Din turned on his heel and shoved the door open. She yelped in surprise as he slammed the door behind him, pushing her into the room further.
“You tell me what you have planned and I’ll tell you if it’ll work.”
“Either it works or it doesn’t,” she repeated his words from that morning. “We have to find out one way or another.”
He narrowed his eyes under the helmet, eyeing her closely. “Tell me your plan.”
“I will attend the party,” she explained carefully, crossing her arms over her chest. “You will bring the child back here, so we can protect him together.”
“But I can’t leave you alone —,”
“I am capable of protecting myself, Din.” Her hand slipped between the split of her skirt and pulled her dagger out. “I have a reason to fight now.”
He stared at her for a long time, eyes switching from her dagger to her face several times.
“You have to trust me.”
“I do. I just —,”
“Then go save our child,” she ordered softly. “And we’ll be married by the end of the week.”

Here's How Shrimp Trooper Theory Can Still Win
This is as fringe as it gets folks.
I've done my very serious Tech lives essay now it's time for my actual wild theory. Plus @katara-stan-club wanted the shrimp trooper essay and I will take any opportunity to yammer. Please don't take this extremely seriously as it is just something that I'm spinning up for entertainment and is almost certainly not true. (Unless!)
So the opening to Confined is... Odd to me. I've mentioned this in a post before but just to recap, it is definitely the odd man out of the three season starters.
Season one of course we intro with Caleb, who then leads us directly to meet the batch and get our first character appearances, along with convenient introductions. A fun, action packed little scene before things immediately go to hell.
Season two we intro with the batch in the middle of a job, which gives us another fun action scene that shows us how much Omega has grown, as well as the current status of the batch itself.
Season three though? Season three starts us off with a ship going down in a lightning storm and all the stormtroopers inside assumed to be eaten by the giant monsters that lurk in Tantiss' jungles. (Going by Omega's tally marks later in the episode, we're about 20 days post plan 99.) Nothing to do with the batch at all, though we do get a glance at what's in the jungle, and a tiny bit more of Hemlock being a bastard of course.
Now, seemingly, this scene is the set up for episode three, when they make their escape and head for the downed ship.
Except it's completely unnecessary. When they get to the ship, it turns on but it's incapable of flight and the comms are still down and non functioning. The ship they end up taking and using to escape is the ship that came in pursuit of them. The plot would have gone down exactly the same if they had just picked a direction and fled without the downed ship. It's a complete red herring for how they ultimately end up escaping.
So why is it important enough to open the season on if the ship essentially functions as nothing more than a destination point?
Enter Shrimp Trooper Theory.
Going back to the stormtroopers. We have four of them inside the ship, the pilot and three others. We're going to be focusing on our boy on the far right of the second picture.
The pilot speaks before the ship goes down so we can confirm he's a rando. Our fellow in the middle speaks next, identifying himself as TK-343, another rando. The one on the far left talks about wild beasts proving himself, you guessed it, a third rando. But our boy on the far right doesn't talk at all through this whole scene, leaving his identity up in the air.
So we'll take a closer look at him and brighten the scene up a bit.
Now, seeing this guy hobble his way out of the ship, I thought that he looked somewhat familiar. Specifically.
That shitty ass posture. (Forgive the sloppiness of the edit I did this comparison once before and I am not remaking it)
We do not actually see the troopers all get eaten, we cut to the interior of Tantiss before it happens. Theoretically there is nothing stopping this shrimp shaped man from being Tech.
The timeline of shrimp trooper theory:
Tech falls from the rail car and manages to survive the landing but he's severely injured. He crawls away/gets scraped off the ground by Saw.
Roughly 3 weeks pass in which he is recovering and healing yet unable to comm out as, per episode 4 of season 3, Imperial planets monitor long range communications. But, he is able to gather information from the flights going in and out of Eriadu to determine which ones are being assigned to Hemlock's secretive lab. Once he is able to confirm this, he steals some stormtrooper armor and boards.
Ship goes down because gravity hates him in particular and he is almost eaten by a Beast.
Now stranded in the jungle on Tantiss, Tech finds his infiltration plan foiled by the fact that he is being continually hounded by even more Beasts.
Several months later, Batcher is released and for some reason goes straight for the wrecked ship. Somehow she survives out here, but we're not sure how - potentially she had help?
Tech IS the mystery clone X that we see but rather than being brainwashed he has finally managed to get inside Tantiss and yet again begins to Steal Clothing from others.
Crosshair and Omega immediately break out without him leaving him stranded in Tantiss where he presumably still is, attempting to avoid detection and continue to gather information that will aid in the eventual liberation of the other clones.
Is this unlikely? Yes! Is it overly complicated? Absolutely! Am I endlessly entertained by it anyway? You bet!
Benefits of Shrimp Trooper Theory include, but are not limited to:
A living, non brainwashed Tech! The most important feature one could have!
An extremely ridiculous Only In Star Wars series of events!
Retroactive explanation for why the ship going down was an important scene to start on.
Hemlock ruining his own life by not sending someone out to recover the team and just assuming they'd totally be taken care of by the wildlife.
More giant monsters than Wrecker could shake a stick at.
The possibility of Tech and Batcher offscreen shenanigans.
Tech thinking he's finally found Crosshair and making plans to retrieve him when, SURPRISE, OMEGA'S HERE TOO AND THEY'RE ESCAPING. RIGHT NOW.
Seriously just imagine the epic sigh Tech would let out as they flew away completely unaware of his presence. His life is a series of difficulties.
He can simply turn up with the coordinates to Tantiss because god knows how else they're going to manage to get them.
This is my conspiracy theory that I'm allowing myself to believe in as a treat. It will almost certainly not be what occurs but the thought of it makes me happy.

It's all real...
The officer is very busy and stressed because he is responsible for everything on the station, and although he maintains an icy exterior with other people, he drops it and can just be himself and laugh when he is alone with TK-421. The stormtrooper asks G7 to trust him that it is better off not seeing the messy, complicated human-being stuff.
They were going to move in together,
TK-421 next plans to get assigned to the officer's personal detail; after that, he will get them transferred to Coruscant and enter G7 in the droid racing circuit while living in the officer's penthouse, which has a balcony overlooking the Imperial Palace.
the Star Wars universe is great because you read enough you eventually find out things like the fact that the Stormtrooper whose armor Luke stole in Episode IV was gay and in an affair with fucking Grand Moff Tarkin, which is a completely canonical fact that I am not making up.
#Star Wars#Tarkin#Stormtroopers#Grand Moff Tarkin#TK-421#People who get Star Wars get that it's supposed to be grand and epic and uplifting and heartbreaking but ALSO SILLY AND WACKY

So, um... Lenny Kravitz made an actual song called TK-421... and it's actually referencing the stormtrooper... and it's also a euphemism for dick... so why should I NOT make a fanvid out of this for him and our favourite Grand Moff?

The Calvary Has Arrived Thoughts
Omega taking the initiative to free herself and the other children shows how much she's grown.
ZILLO BEAST RAMPAGE. I love seeing the TK Troopers and scientists suffering. I wonder Hemlock's choice to send them to try to stop the literal Godzilla beast. I hope the Zillo Beast becomes the Apex Predator of Wayland.
Crosshair's trauma once again kicks in as they get in. I really like how Hunter and Wrecker refuse to let Crosshair go in alone and they'll face death together. As terrifying as the CX team is, it's creepy to know that they're a dark foil to the BB. I forgot for a moment that one of the CX Troopers cut off Crosshair's arms with my anxiety kicking into high gear. I'm also glad Tech is actually dead and not one of the CX Troopers. I really like the theory that the CX team could be Delta Squad and I really vibe with that. It would be poetic if they were in that case.
Omega’s confidence in herself and skills as she stays behind to free her brothers. Emerie Karr’s redemption was nice to see as she does everything in her power to save the children.
The Clone Rebellion or rather the Clone Prison Revolt happens! It's so satisfying seeing the Clones being able to fight back and kill those Stormtroopers. Likewise, it's horrifying some of the horrific ways some Clones are killed by the CX team.
Hemlock being stressed and frustrated is always fun to see. At that point, Tarkin is using this as an excuse to finally get control of the facility.
I love how Nala Se always planned to let herself be killed to destroy the research and prevent her knowledge from being used by the Emperor. It's a fitting end to her character who helped the Emperor get into power and for her to help frustrate the Emperor's Cloning plans. Likewise, Rampart's death is both hilarious and karmic. Kamino has been avenged.
The BB working together to survive against their dark foils is heartwarming. There are so many times one of them could've died but they all made it out. Crosshair looking at his specific dark foil in particular.
The confrontation and showdown in the rain parallels both S1 and S2’s finales (Kamino’s rain and Hemlock taking Omega) Scorch dying is so satisfying after his complicity in the crimes of the Empire against his own brothers. Scorch was also shot 5 times which was how many shots (stun that time) Scorch was taken down in S1. I love how much Hunter and Crosshair trust Omega in her plan without her saying anything other than gestures. Likewise, Hunter's trust in Crosshair to make that shot, which he did even without his hand. Omega's reunion with her brothers are everything to me. I hope the Zillo Beast (heard in the background) eats Hemlock’s corpse.
The first ISD in BB animation (outside of the tease in Tales of the Empire). Tarkin taking over the funding is so Tarkin. It's poetic that the Clones saved the galaxy by delaying Project Necromancer it's still being worked on in 9 ABY and given Palpatine's state in TROS, they did a really good job.
I'm so happy they got a happy ending. I thought we would get a bittersweet ending but it's nice to see everyone make it out. Seeing the final shot of the BB team minus Echo together on Pabu is so heartwarming. I wonder if we'll see what happens to Echo and Emerie in the future.
Older Omega and older Hunter! Omega joining the rebellion opens a lot of doors. We were robbed of seeing old Man Wrecker and Crosshair haha. I really hope the next animated show is a Starfighter one.
This show is so special to me. I'll put out a retrospective of the show one day.
"The Calvary Has Arrived!" Wrecker
Themes I noticed:
BB's theme, Omega's theme, Crosshair’s theme, CX's theme, Hemlock's theme, and the Clone's theme.
