So yesterday I finally started reading The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Ian Gallagher by Shamelessquestions (@goodkwuestion) , a rec from @c-nord and needless to say, I started reading around 9 pm and by 3 am I was still up eating the goddamn story (still halfway to go, don't spoiler me) The idea was to read some sweet gallavich before bet time, but good God, you just can't sleep until you find out what's gonna happen in this one. It's SO GOOD If you read it, this is the masterpiece video @c-nord made for this fic. I can't stress enough how amazing and incredible and insane is this edition. I watched before reading the story and I was already shocked, so even if you didn't/won't read, it's a MUST-watch

Favourite thing you’ve created (or seen created) for the fandom? i haven't done much i'll be honest. mostly i'm just here screaming at all of you. but i like my magic!mickey au i did with sky.

Why is it your favourite? it was very easy to write! like, i was just kermit typing that shit out, and the world just came to me. i had no questions about it.

Did it come easily or was it hard to create? very easy. i stared at my two words and like an hour later i had a whole world in my head. i didn't even get to type out everything i had seen up in the ol' noggin.

Last ao3 fic you commented on? according to ao3 it was light my fire! 🫡

Biggest WIP heartache you’ve ever experienced? gonna echo jess here - things byond mistake. OUF. i still love it though.

Favorite trope or head cannon you like included in a fanfic? grumpy!mickey with a soft heart, dorky!ian, sports apperently, slow burns, resolving the conflict™, but i'll slurp anything up really.

Least favourite? gonna echo jess a little here too, i don't like when in an au they just get together right off the bat. i need to pine and scream and stay up all night to see what happens next. it works sometimes, but mostly i want slow burns to slooow burn.

Secret or surprising kink or trope? a/b/o, never thought i'd get it but here we are. other than that i was never picky too be honest. i'll read anything (and i mean that. i'm in the wierd shit channel @ fic club. and i like it.)

Describe how you feel after you’ve created something new? mostly i'm just baffed i actually managed to finish something. then i'm excited of course to share it. i'm that bitch who updates every second after i hit post.

For this months @gallacrafts, to celebrate my all time favourite multi-chapter fic “The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Ian Gallagher” by @goodkwuestion I decided to redraw this piece that I did in 2020!

I would highly recommend this fic to newbies in the fandom who are looking for more of that classic Ian and Mickey dynamic from the show that you love, with a mobster twist 😉

i sent this to another blog to but I wanna start a conversation/ask about the absolute must read/legendary fics in the shameless/gallavich fandom. every fandom has at least one fic everyone knows about for some reason and i'm really curious as to what the ones in this community look like and why they're popular

I've already read Cooperative Gameplay which was just like, The Fine Art of Falling for You, you'll never see us again, and some smaller ones but I was wondering if there were more or if people just had thoughts on them

personally i really liked the modern vibe of Cooperative Gameplay and how it had a good take on a dynamic that could've been really, really unhealthy. Like, at first glance, youtuber!mickey/fan!ian shouldn't of worked well? but it did and I liked it and it was beautiful

i can ramble about the other two as well but i could probably go on for a while so i wont for now

hi, yes! i love to talk fic. i am BEHIND on my current reading list, but there are certainly some that i'd consider fandom classics. and i encourage everyone to chime in with their own recs!

About Milkovich's rage, I really think that angry Mickey can be that person that in a fight can analyze the other person and trash talk about all the insecurities that the person has and even the ones they didn't know they had hahaha But, I always think Ian would be a thousand times worse, thanks to Cam Monaghan, we know how Ian looks and behaves, and I just think he has a sinister, evil little face, so in a fight, I prefer a thousand times to face Mickey because you already know from him that he will try to fuck-up, but Ian is unpredictable hehe

There's a fic of yours that perfectly portrays how Ian looks like a good boy, but it's him what scares the most about in Gallavich

This is giving tipdig’s Salvatore Boerio vibes when he was having that super bad trip and Ian's appearance freaked him out because he thought Ian was the devil coming for him.
