Hi!! How did you learn to make maxis match clothes? I would like to start doing it uwu

Hi ! So to be fair I don't remember exactly how I went about starting making CC at the very beginning except from reading tutorials and downloading Sims4Studio but here are the steps I more or less followed in my CC making journey.

First off I was already quite used to some picture editing softwares (namely Gimp and Photoshop) which definitely helped so I would recommend familiarising yourself with one of these.

Then comes the gateway drug to CC creation that are ✨recolors✨. For those you just need S4S and a picture editing software of your choice. Recolors can be quite simple : maybe you just want to change an item's color or add patterns to it. But with a little more editing/drawing skills you can also remove/add some details to the diffuse texture.

To keep the maxis match aesthetic the easiest way to go is to be a 🙌scavenger🙌 : you want to add buttons / belts / lace / embroidery / whatever to your texture ? Steal it from an other Sims 4 item ! Just look at your CAS and BB in game as a catalogue of all the details and textures you could frankenstein onto your project.

Maybe you'll be content with making recolors forever but if like me you start wanting to make something with a shape that doesn't already exist in game or in the CC world out there, you will have to deal with mesh. (the mesh is the 3D shape of the item as opposed to the 2D texture that is applied onto it) Meshing has a steeper learning curve than recoloring for sure so arm yourself with as much calm and patience as you can muster. First you'll need to download Blender, I recommend downloading the same Blender version as the one used in the tutorial you choose to follow because if you're anything like me you'll get lost otherwise. Also use a mouse, the scroll wheel makes moving around in blender so much easier than using a laptop touch pad like I did at the start 🤡.

And now that you have blender and a mouse time to mess around with meshes and for that like everyone I started (and honestly I mostly still stick to it nowadays) by frankenmeshing. Sticking to the frankenstein/scavenger theme from earlier, this is quite similar to what I described with scavenging textures, except this time we're combining meshes aka shapes : see a collar you like on that blouse, a sleeve you like on that dress ? Bam put them together !

Outside of frankenmeshing other ways to tranform meshes are to inflate and stretch parts of it (want a bigger skirt ? a shorter jacket ? the O key is your friend). And if you want to go beyond what I have you can also learn how to create meshes from scratch.

That being said dealing with meshes is full of surprises (mostly bad ones unfortunately), since you may have to deal with distorted weights, UV1 and whatever else, so it involved a lot of trouble shooting and trial & error. Being part of the S4S forum or the Creator Musing discord can be very helpful when you're at a loss (but always google and search for yourself before going around asking people).

Finally it's important to keep in mind that it takes time to learn how to make CC so don't be too hard on yourself and take breaks when it gets too frustrating. Personally it took me many months to graduate from recolors to frankesmeshing, I had to give up and try again many times before I finally got what I wanted.

something about el wearing flannels at first as a metaphor for being shaped (personality and romance wise) by male figures (that one theory about el using blue clothing through s4 to assimilate mike´s color coding and how she tries to be something he might like, then stopping using those clothes and being dressed in pure white to be herself. also using mike´s clothes throught s1, even more flannels. and dressing in also more flannels in s3, one´s that were probably hopper´s, then she discovering herself with max´s help, aka not mike or hopper but you) but also, her using will´s flannels, stealing them or lending them from him on purpose, not because she´s being shaped by him or has nothing else to choose from, but because she loves her brother and he´s a great example for her to try out new things and figure herself, kind of like she did with max in s3. whatever

I know how many of byler shippers are annoyed that will's crush and basicaly every conversation he had with mike (where he was kinda lying because he was talking abt himself) made mike and el got back together. Look i get it im annoyed too. But its not bc i think that will having crush on mike is a bad scenario choise or the way they made him handle the situation is bad. No i think that wills character is one of the best of them all. S4 made me fall in love with him.

Steves crush on nancy is forced and unrealistic as well as nancys idk supposed feelings for him? Guys its the biggest bullshit ive ever seen. Nancys and johnatans fight is also very random created only to give some place for stancy. Im sorry but i didnt care much about jopper this season this ship was kinda cute in s1 and s2 (a little) but later on it was just jeah they'll end up together at some point and i dont care its ok. I also dislike hopper a bit - his anger outbrusts are too much for me despite his huge heart and stuff. Dustin and susie - i dont care. Dustin is amazing suzie is a boring character used only whan theyre having trouble. Max and lucas - they are nice s4 made me like max more and this scene in hounted house was awesome and cute. But they are lacking the tension bc we know somewhere in back of our heads that they'll end up together and drama is needed to build up both of their characters and it works (not like this s3 painfull drama to teach mike a lesson about beeing posesive - i didint learn much abt max and lucas then)

I think that finally will's character is treated seriously in s4. In s1 and s2 he was just in danger and everyone tried to save him. In s3 he had some place to be annoyed and sad but again all of his problems vanished as soon as they found out about mind flayer. In s4 noah shnapp is doing AMAZING job making will constantly on werge of crying (and it somehow isnt too much which dropped my mouth on the floor. Dont underestimate that! Usually characters that cry everytime theyre having a convo with anyone are annoying and you just wish they shut up but not will)

If we look at all those small details and clues the show kept giving us about wills sexuality (like people bulling him and laughing at him in s1 calling him homophobic slurs, him looking at mike before dancing with a girl on a snow ball in s2, mike saying is not his fault that will doesnt like girls in s3, that weird ass feet flirt? (gross) and wills presentation about alan truing in s4 for example) it gives us a good amount of reasons that it isnt just a part of his character like it was with robin in s3. The coming out scene wasnt like a confirmation of some obvious clues or shit. Her character wasnt about beeing gay it was about beeing a person and beeing gay. Which is huge difference. As a fan of casual representation i was very satified with steves and robins thread in s3 because i already loved them before the coming out scene (and its also a reason why im disapointed with it in s4 because they threw away the importance of their friendship and focused on romance instead which has been done wery poorly) But will also isnt just gay. He's a very confused child focusing on figuring out who he is. Its more like a heartstopper kind of storyline but he has no one to talk about it no one to support him like openly without just guessing what he is going throught. He doesnt have 'am i gay quiz' or any kind of people like him he can talk to. Instead he has a crush on an absolute asshole (I will get to that soon) and mindset of puting others before him. So it shouldnt be a surprise that he does everything he can to support and help mike. And look at him HE CRIES ALMOST EVERY TIME the emotions inside are taking him over. The problem isnt the plot isnt the crush isnt will's character its mike

What in the fucks sake happend to him over the seasons? In s1 and 2 i belived that he is nice he is caring that he is a heart of a group. He was a GOOD FRIEND. But now show has to desperately remind us about all this stuff because he himself isnt. Since s3 he is just revolving around el. All the time no place for anyone else there. Well maybe they are buliding up like a sudden realisation scene where mike will realise what this relationship was doing with him or something. But guess what HE WON'T why? BECAUSE HE IS UNABLE TO FIGURE OUT HIS FLAWS HIMSELF or read basic signals from his friends that he's hurting them. So maybe in s5 someone (probably Will) will have to put some sences into that oblivious mind of his (i hope will will be yellig) and honestly that is the only rational reason i can see for watering down his character this much (rational where its not just a poor writing) i hope it will happen i would enjoy it i would forgive using wills feelings for ending mikes and els fight. But if nothing like this happens mileven is doing perfectly 'fine' as always will is coming out but it has no impact on anything than im throwing that show away other threads arent enough to make me invest in it as much as this one is (im not saying that i need byler to come true what i need is a logical explanation on why mike is such an asshole and REAL character development this time) Every time show is fucusing on mikes flaws (its always just one flaw - like mike beeing possesive or not caring about will at all) other characters confront him making him realise what he was doing wrong he apologises and everything is fine again exept its not. Because he fixes this one single flaw they were taking about every other out there is left untouched. He doesnt grow as a person (one good thing about him - he doesnt make same mistake twice) actually hes beeing even a bigger asshole. So theres no surprise for me that all he takes from wills advices are ways to make up with el bc thats all he is focusing on. He doesnt look at bigger picture of situation - at wills emotions at ways his voice sounds like at reasons why he took that painting for that trip or why he painted him in that contects in the first place.

I dont know what elese to write to clarify my point (i hope its somehow understandable) I am a huge byler shipper but as i said it doesnt even have to be canon for me because if it was with mike left the way he is it could be even more painfull for will. What im really hoping for in s5 is explainging mikes horrible begaviour and fixing it for real this time (this scenario in case they made him this bad on pourpose) or fixing his character generaly (in case it was accidental) and a satisfing wills coming out scene. I cant specify exactly what im expecting but im counting it will be as good as robins

Make it make sense.

I've been silent for the last weeks because i don't want to deal with how skam france dissappoints me again and again. Now with the one and only reason i started watching the whole skam series: Maya and Lola.

I read Shirley's apologies, and i couldn't help but notice the comparison she did with Maya and Lola to Tina and Bette's break up.

And, as a fan of both franchises myself. I'm gonna try and make you pals understand why this comparison is INCORRECT. So you can have more arguments.

I know a lot of you haven't even watch the show, but i thing that even if you aren't gonna watch it, use this information.

So if you are still watching TLW, just know that i'll be talking about seasons 1-5. Spoilers.

What is The L word?

TLW is a 2004's series created by Ilene Chaiken, that follows the life of a group of queer women and their relationships.

Who are Bette and Tina?

Tinna Kennard and Bette Porter are a couple in the show. In season 1 is mentioned that they were together for almost 7 years until then. They were a BIG DEAL in the show. Always a favorite, even when some awful things happened. They also have a child together, Angelica.

Bette alone is an interesting character. She's been an art dealer, a dean and almost a senator in TLW generation Q. But irrational and sometimes self centered, but we're gonna talk about it later.

Tina is... a case. Her character wasn't really developped on the show, out of being the lover of x. She's on the cinema bussiness, but that was one of the only things we got to know. Until at the end of season 6 we got to know some of her traumatic past on the tapes.

Bette and Tina Throught the series

They're a mess. The break up and got back together a lot of times, they got married at the end of season 6 and everyone was happy... Until we got to know in TLW Generation Q that they got divorced.

Here's when the problem starts.

Now, im gonna explain you why this is incorrect.

Tibette did have Reasons to break up

As i said before. Tina in Bette were a mess as a couple. It was always open the option of them not being together at the end.

Some of these reasons are:

Cheating: On season 1, Bette cheated on TIna. On season 3, TIna cheated on Bette twice. Also, Bette cheated on Jodi, her lover on s4 and s5, WITH TINA.

Selfishness: The way Bette and Tina were selfish with each other was always an issue on the show. It got better with time when we talk about Bette. She went from just thinking about herself to (sometimes) thinking twice before hurting anyone else.

Impulsive decisions: On season 3 and 4, Tina and Bette fought over Angie's custody. Bette ended up kidnapping Angelica, and at the end it wasn't a big deal, Bette didn't get any punishment for it.

Some other things that happened that we can consider:

Bette cheated on Tina after she had a miscarriage, and tried to justify it saying that "she needed that" and Tina wasn't giving that to her.

On season 2, Bette called Tina while she was in new york to ask her if she could cheat on her (she didn't, tho).

I said it but BETTE KIDNAPPED ANGELICA.

Tina was still in love with Bette even when she was with Helena, even when she was with Henry, even when Bette was with Jodi.

When we compare Tibette to Mayla we have to think about something really big. Which, didn't ever happened. Maya and Lola had problems.

We were in front a relationship without communication. They talked about it, but never really had the talk, so talking about their unexistent communication is useless.

Maya runned at every sign of something bad happening. As an example, when she fought with lamif and stayed a whole episode at June's. Or, in season 7 when she left almost at the end while she was in a drama with Lola.

Lola is pictured as a clingy girlfriend, and Maya doesn't like that. But rather than talking to her, she told every problem she had with Lola, to June. A character we don't even know if it's gonna be there in season 10.

The point is, we can't compare a relationship with LACK OF COMMUNICATION, to a relationship with bumps throught the whole road. Mayla doesn't even have the same story as Tibette does. It is not correct to make a comparison, unless, you know... Shirley was really trying to make this an adult show. Now comparing a teen show to an adult show.

I hope you pals got it. I really love both shows and both ships. But we need to see some points without the fan lenses. I'm on the "this season was useless" side, and not happy with the comparison Shirley made. So i tried to make you pals get the point and be as informed as i can make you.

Wait I have things to say about this! I crunched some numbers and found some interesting stuff. If one calculates the average hours watched per episode for every season one finds some interesting trends (as not all seasons have the same number of episodes, TOS season 1 has thirty, Voyager season 1):

DS9 S5 and VGR S7 lose the fewest viewers compared to last season (~0k)

VGR S2 and ENT S2 lose the most viewers compared to last season (~70k)

TOS S2, TNG S2 and DS9 S2 show significant viewer losses compared to their respective previous seasons (~40k)

VGR S4 is the only season to gain viewers compared to the previous season (19k)

All other seasons show smaller losses (between 0 and 20k)

So Voyager and Enterprise has the largest amount of viewers who don't make it post-season 1. We also see first hints at an interesting trend regarding Voyager's seasons 4-7. Some interesting trends can also be observed when comparing how many viewers were lost from the first to the final season.

VGR and ENT both lost the most viewers from first to last season (~100k)

DS9 loses the most viewers from first to last season (~56k)

TOS and TNG lose a medium amount of viewers from first to last season (~60-90k)

So viewers who complete DS9's first season are a lot more likely to finish the show than those who finished VGR'S or ENT's first seasons The really interesting stuff is found when one starts to ignore the first seasons alltogether though. If we sort all non-season-1s by hours watched per episode we find some fascinating trends. The most popular seasonsa re (from most to least popular)

TNG S2 - 236k

TNG S3 - 231k

VGR S4 - 227k

TNG S4 - 223k

VGR S2 - 219k

VGR S5 - 215k

TNG and ENT both exhibit the expected seasonly decline, but Voyager actually splits into two sections, the early seasons (S1-3) and the later seasons (S4-7) both following the pattern of seasonly decline, but independantly from each other. This suggests that a significant number of viewers started watching with Seven of Nine joining in season 4 and skipped the Kes seasons alltogether. Which is really interesting.

The other interesting thing is when looking at viewer dropoff between all seasons of Trek there is a sharp drop following ENT S4, all seasons of DS9 and TOS were significanly less watched than TNG, VGR and ENT.

DS9 S4/S5 - 131k

Which is also really interesting, that there are these distinct blocks of popularity. And I would argue that this makes sense. IMO DS9 is the most TOS-like Trek show of the 1966-2005 time frame, wheras VGR and ENT are more TNG-like.

One other interesting thing we can do is compare hours watched per episode of the second and final seasons of each show. Since presumably a lot of people will start watching at season 1 and drop out before getting to the end this will give us more accurate information on retention.

TOS and DS9 lose the fewest viewers from S2 to their final seasons (19k)

VGR and ENT lose a medium amount of viewers from S2 to their final seasons (27k)

TNG loses a large amount of viewers from S2 to its final season (48k)

VGR loses a pretty large amount of viewers from S4 to S7 (35k) and a very large amount of viewers from S1 to S3 (86k)

Now what if we adjust this for episodes again? Naturally seven-season long DS9 will lose more viewers throught its run than four-season ENT. But that sounds like work so I won't do it. Someone else can do that if they feel like it.

In conclusion, Seven of Nine is keeping Voyager afloat single-handedly, TNG gets less popular every year, DS9 and TOS have the most dedicated viewer base and most importantly what the fuck why do people watch Enterprise this makes no sense to me???

Stat Trek!

Last year #Netflix released some viewing data and I started but only just finished producing this chart showing the relative popularity of the classic #StarTrek shows on the platform. No big surprises, but there are some interesting observations to make…

Most surprising to me is that Enterprise works out to be the most popular show if you account for the fact that there are fewer episodes. Per hour of available content, it is slightly more in demand than TNG.

Season 1 is by far the most popular season of TNG! Why? Well, one interesting observation people made on Xhitter is that Picard season 3 aired Feb-April 2023 and may have boosted the amount of people who started watching the show during this period.

hellooo. i was sitting in bed the other day and thought.. i wonder if sam still prays - and if so... does who he prays to change throughout the course of the seasons? And there is honestly no one i would rather ask this question than you. so please, if you have the time, could you share your thoughts (any throughts really!) on sam winchester as a praying man? thank you!

oh bud, it's so interesting that you had this thought -- I was thinking about this just the other day, too! Sam & faith is one of those concepts that I do find interesting but it's sort of hard to get a solid picture of; partly because Sam doesn't talk about it, and partly because what details you *can* glean are sifted through the different 'eras' of him, if you feel me. (Also you run into the possibility of the christian lesbian sam people and that's something I have to avoid for my health, lol.)

So -- your pondering about who he prays to changing I think is really spot on. When he's a kid, I suspect it's the usual kind of unformed bearded Christian-y God, a benevolent dad-figure who knows the answers and hopefully wants what's best for everyone. Little Sam was a hard-nosed kid in a lot of ways, and smart, and disappointed early by the weirdness of his life -- but he had a kind of essential hope in him, too. He was unsure about John but still had a kid's faith in his dad, and in Dean too in some ways, and I feel like that'd just... continue seamlessly into his praying to a capital-g God that he just knew had to be there. Asking for safety and deliverance and that his family would be okay, with a stubborn little clasped-hands faith that if he did everything that he needed to do, if he did it right, then it'd work out. Because what's the alternative?

When he's older of course some of that little-kid certainty fades, but I think it's telling that even s2 Sam, aged 23 or so, still apparently prays every day. I suspect that the cliched white-bearded God of a kid's cartoon fades away slightly -- I mean, he's educated and clever, I doubt he's picturing the Monty Python God -- but he might still genuinely think of it as an overarching Creator. Hazy still on the details but believing, even if sometimes he thinks it's stupid or pointless or embarrassing, that determined and focused hope might do... something. After all, there is magic in the world. There are demons, and horrors, and an afterlife of some kind or another. Why not also believe in some kind of light to buttress against the darkness? (This probably staggers a little in s4/5, but when he thinks he's righteous in s4 he might think he's playing directly into God's scheme, and when he realizes he's not in s5 he might pray for help and steadiness.)

When the Chuck reveal happens I think this takes a serious blow. God shouldn't be... this. This shady smirky little twerp who's Greek-god-level in his pettiness and smallness. Powerful only because of might, not because of right. There, I'm very open to various interpretations. Sam clearly takes Chuck seriously as The Creator because, like, he is and Sam doesn't ignore the evidence in front of his eyes -- asking about physics & evolution, wondering about how things were made, getting answers, at last! But where does that faith go? It can't go into Chuck. Faith is all about the evidence of things not seen, the ethereal and unbound, and Chuck's practically mud. It just doesn't work.

So. Does grown-up Sam, who's been through the hardest possible times and seen all the shit he's seen, still pray? To what? He'd have to know that prayer was more about meditation than reward, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he'd developed some kind of breath practice that had taken the place of prayer, and probably did him more good. Then again, maybe he looks at the sorry excuse for a deity that he's been saddled with, that he prayed toward for 30+ years, and just decides... no, if Chuck & Amara are something this mundane then there must be something more, and thus directs his prayer/medication toward an as-yet-unknown even-higher being. (Trouble with higher beings -- it's turtles all the way down.) For myself, I prefer the meditation headcanon. It makes Sam more... believable to me. However, I hope that after s15 when he's alone, and even when he's got a kid, he does send up prayers -- to Jack. Maybe he's not asking for anything, and not expecting any answer, but that's his boy. He wants to check in, even if he'll never get an answer. It just makes him feel better.

All of this said: I think this, Sam & prayer & faith, is tied in a really essential way to Sam's base character note of optimism. He's really just the most incorrigible optimist, and I value that hugely as a character trait for him. It's the base level of so many of his actions, even if they fail: he believes that he can make a life for himself despite all evidence to the contrary -- he believes he can get revenge where his dad failed -- he believes he can save Dean from hell -- he believes he can save the world. And hey, he actually succeeds on that last one, more than once. And he makes a life for himself... eventually, even if it ends up being in a bunker, in Kansas, with his brother-cum-soulmate. It's fascinating to me that Sam just... expects more. He believes that the world can be good and just and better, through effort and determination and cleverness and his two strong hands, and prayer's just... part of that. Even in the latter years when he's been beaten down by so much he believes that's so. At that point, what he's praying to doesn't matter so much; it matters that he thinks there's still a world worth fighting for.

(It's then very interesting to contrast all of that against his brother.)

Pros: oh hey, they let us know the major plot of the season; Arturo!!! Cons: Echo heavy, no Malex; in fact no Alex, Kyle, or Rosa; yet somehow still could spare a few seconds for the guest cast; Nathan did not deserve to have THAT done to his hair.

Hi bestie! I combined these asks so I could knock them both out and I spent my time recovering from my Covid booster shot (my arm STILL hurts, WTF is that about? It’s been 3 days??) by catching up a tiny bit on RNM stuff since I have looked at nothing since shortly after season 3 ended. I won’t be able to watch live though I’m planning on watching next day but that might be for the best.

So the trailer! Pros: yaaaaaas Arturo my beloved! Also saw Cameron which was a nice surprise! I’m mildly intrigued by the other aliens so that could be neat?

Cons: While I did love Echo at the start of the show and they have had some sweet moments throught, the fact that the show is constantly waffling on who Max is has been frustrating. Having him go from soft, stary-eyed writer who thinks Liz hung the moon, to going behind her back, and lashing out at everyone in anger because he’s a leading man, and a cop, and has to be Strong and Violent and Can’t Know How To Express Emotions Besides Anger (even though he’s a fiction writer and eloquently expressing emotions is like, the whole of what he does) is tiresome. Max is always at his best when he is being supportive and kind and soft and we unfortunately don’t get to see a lot of that so it makes me less excited to see what is going on with Echo. Also it’s 2022, the whole “will they, won’t they, let’s see soulmate happily date other people, then invent drama to keep them apart” thing is TIRED. Just let soulmates have each other’s backs and take on the things trying to tear them apart together. That’s LITERALLY the whole point of soulmates! They are on the same page, they work better together because they bring out the best in each other. Let them do that! (This also applies to Malex, of course.)

The fact that we didn’t see Alex, Kyle, or Rosa is a crime actually, especially considering they are the glue that holds everything together. I also saw some stuff from Tyler about fans not being too happy at the start sooooo we have that to look forward to! 🙃🙃🙃 And considering the amount of m*ria in the promo and the non-existence of Alex, Kyle, and Rosa, I’m sure this season is going to be a repeat of season 3 on that front. Yay 🙄

Nathan absolutely did NOT deserve to have that done to his hair. It’s not the worst, but his hair was sooo good last season! This is a definite downgrade.

The stills! Kylex brotp my absolute beloved!! I’m so excited to see them in the same room and it looks like Eduardo is there too? So MAYBE we get to focus some on what Alex is doing? Not holding my breath though. Also a lot of Dallas and Michael just chilling together which I love! 

That Team Liz shirt is very cute and I want the whole gang to have one and wear all the time to support her, it’s what she deserves. I’m also loving whenever they let her lean into the “geeky scientist” wear that you know people who are too busy being tied up in their brain and work put on instead of trying to make me believe Practical Liz would wear fancy heeled boots on an investigation she knows is to a cabin in the woods. Women can be fancy and well-dressed people but also wear practical clothes when it makes sense, I promise it’s okay.

I kinda saw the stills of m*ria and Kyle as her scans looking better or at least like she’s not getting worse? So I don’t think she’s dying again, but I wouldn’t be shocked if she was because of course she would be. Hopefully Kyle gets more to do this season that carry everyone’s burdens on his back while they all forget all about him when he gets kidnapped because they’re too busy fawning over m*ria. Fingers crossed we get some good content for him.

Anyway, sorry not sorry to anyone who followed me for 911 content for the salt gremlin I’m about to become over this show. This show always deserved better than the CW, though it’s a shame the CW is Like That because it’s network TV meaning it’s free and it’s one of the few channels that’s NOT cable or streaming that you have to pay for that really leans into genre shows. Soooo much of network TV is centered on cop shows that basically spend every episode brutally murdering people (very often women) and then investigating it with the occasional “live victim” thrown in for funsies. This is why 911 feels so different (and why going back to trying to watch other shows is HARD) because it’s SO hopeful and most of the time the people live! What a novel concept! Then you have the CW which plays a lot with mystical/sci-fi stuff, often centered on romance which is a nice change of pace! But it’s run by people who, it feels like, HATE or at the very least have a great contempt for and look down on teens, genre shows, and romance. And RNM was supposed to be adults! It was supposed to lean into the sci-fi stuff and the alien soulmate thing from an adult perspective. But since it was the CW they leaned into the teen soapy drama, which, spoiler alert, is not ever what people wanted out of their “teen” genre shows to begin with! I think things got confused since there wasn’t easy, free access to genre shows when CW first started cranking them out, and they decided to apply their idea of what “Teen Girl Logic” was (all the different hot people making out with each other is all anyone wants!) to shows about soulmates and science fiction, and superheroes etc. without taking into account that isn’t actually true, AND more than just “teen girls” like genre shows, but a lot of the “adult” ones are dark and brutal and hopeless. So watching media geared towards “younger” audiences can often be an easer, more wholesome watching experience. (Like Julie and the Phantoms! I watched it multiple times, and even my grandma who is in her 80s watched it more than once. It’s bright and happy and wholesome AND has ghosts! And music!). *me frantically trying to find the thread here* Point is, this show COULD have been the sci-fi show focused on adults (and soulmates) healing after a decade of being apart and a lifetime of hiding things, while still having fun shenanigans, and bright colors that a lot of people want, but instead we got....this. 

Whooo boy this got away from me and my head is fuzzy again so I’m going to just going to leave this word vomit here, sorry. Anyway, see you all on Tuesday when I get around to watching the premier! Lets all hope for some good things and brace for whatever it is we will be getting instead.

why is that most m*leven shippers are trying to push the “m*leven is the most popular ship the duffers won’t get rid of it” and “mike is straight, he’s with el” and bla bla bla.

like i don’t know whether byler is fr gna happen, but you can’t ignore the blatant queercoding of both characters! also the idea that because mike is with el he’s straight(i personally think he’s gay) when it was very common for, in this context, gay men to have a so-called “beard” in an attempt to potray heterosexual.

another thing that rlly annoys me with most m*leven is that they don’t actually analysis the show and then go around claiming their ship is endgame without any other evidence besides “they’re popular” or “they’re relationship has been built up throught s1-3,” the latter even being wrong!

s1 - will goes missing, mike proposes that him & the party go out looking for them, they come across some random girl in the woods, who throughout s1 is mention as appearing “boy-ish” and similar to will. mike calls her a “weapon” to the party, and sees as a chance of finding will, so he is nice to her. when the idea of will being dead occurs, once his “body” was found, he immediately lashed out at her, however, as soon as el gave him back the hope that will was alive, he goes back to being nice to her! of course we have the m*leven kiss, but again we have the connotations of el being similar to a “boy” and “will”, she’s also not considered attractive to the rest of the party bar mike, and we know both karen & nancy wheeler thought mike was acting strange because will, also to point where we had karen basically tell mike that she supports no matter what (because she thinks he likes will!!) when will is saved and is in the hospital, mike is the only one in the party to stay awake to wait for will to wake, and when he does he is immediately up and running to give him a great hug! ( i may have missed something but oh well) basically it was always about will, not el!!

s2 - do i really need to explain? the whole season showed byler, probably my fav season so far (maybe s4 will change that 😏) and in comparison to s1 where mike was obsessed with finding will even after his body was found! when he had the suspicion that el was still alive, he ignored it and didn’t look for her. you can probably find more in depth (is that the right way of saying it) explanations and what not but like im not writing all of the stuff that you can find anywhere on the byler tag or even yt. also the “crazy together” scene comparing to the “only love makes you that crazy” with canon ship j*ncy, and then further in s3 we have the m*leven scene in the mall where mike cannot even say it and even says that it is what old people do (in movies & with his parents who aren’t shown to be in love?!?)

s3 - the only season where m*leven are actually in a relationship, which is basically in crumbles throughout the season, the only thing they do together is kiss basically. i do love them together, platonically that is. mike not being able to apologise to eleven the girl he’s with, but being able to easily apologise to will. mikes “because i love her” scene sounding very rehearsed, with a certain lucas sinclair being quite cheerful over it. the mall scene i mentioned before. the m*leven kiss being awkward at the end (all of them really) mike being confused/ shocked because he thought it was over and not being able to reciprocate els feelings of romantic love, whilst he’s stood in wills room, with the closet open and el i believe with wills teddy-thing. the scene with byler abt d&d, where mike is very happy.

more could probably be said, but you’d have to look into others posts(?) abt that. also i didn’t mention a lot of mikes (&wills) queercoding in this besides in s1 where i mentioned elevens appearance. but er oh well, just sorta did this as a slight rant out of annoyance for m*leven stans being annoying on byler posts

so the main points for this finale the thing is are; biskit being a deux ex machina mvp rip kevin van newtton (he truly didn't deserve to die kvn actually helping?! also give him a break nightfall predicting or forsaw what they needed THE LORD COMMANDER NO LONGER A THREAT AND EMPRISONED (n the same prison that bolo was, that what you get for killing him ah the irony) hue is finally op and gets a worthy body their sickness being gone after they escaped fs the confrantation bettween fathers and son that we deserve; so little cato finally lets all the emotion out confronting avocato, and the delivery is amazing lil cato "why didn't you kill me" was just so raw and painfull, the truth that avocato killed his parents and responding to it now,  remenber he didn't get to procces this info while being kidnaped so seeing both gary and avocato triggers it back and wants anwsers. and then proceed the most beautiful way of displaying lil cato shock throught the camera and breaking down f thas not adult animation i don't know what is. then avocato gave his reasons, that because he gave him purpise that he saved him and leaves his guns to walk to his son and that show that he trully cares for his son. when gary said he' sorry that they failed ash i was hoping to she at least consider it, she did but only for a moment when we met ash, she was trying to control this power and to not let it consume her, but as to now, she los and succumbed to it and look anyone who watched the finale has the right to be mad or hate her, i mean she kidnapped lil cato, joined invictus POSSIBLY OFFED MONNCAKE! so yeah i don't blame you, and thought i would too, but i just feel sad and dissapointed in her because of what she's become. (like varian in the tts s1 finale) and when i thought nobody was gonna activate the bridge, lo and behold tribore appear and saved them "huh you weren't useless after all" that what i said and caught myself because he delivered all the other resident from final space i feel we didn't apreciate mooncake this season! after everything he stays behind to stop ash to just get beaten by her, i don't think he's dead if so we would've seen it but man gary plead to not leave just broke my heart because they been through soo much and now left him and look even though i wanted them to go back for mooncake, quinn did make the right choice but im scared how gary's gonna react to it, and when finaly thingns seem to be a bit better, invictus escapes and he is truly a monster that exited from a lovecrat story, and honestly, i haven't felt this hopless since season 1, and even if they managed to escape there's still a lot of shit to unpack, the guilt arc of the cato, monncake lost ash and invictus, and id be lying if i said i wasn't scared, but like s2 it procced to deliver and awsome storyline and side plots to it predacesor and i hope s4 would do the same

Yes, I don't think exactly right away from the start of the season(because they still need to get their shits together and talk stuff first) but It seems like the next step, they accepted their feelings and like it needs to be explore after all they have been throught.

Splatoon Manga Sanatized!Glasses AU Revamp!

Alright so I decided to sit down and rethink my AU a bit so somethings have been scraped,changed completely and slightly altered but I think this version is much better than my previous one. So if you’re curious then please give it a read! 

Sanitization: - Glasses had a bad case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time and ran into some sanatized octolings that were scouting out the surface. He got knocked out and woke up an hour or so later with a splitting headache and his teammates and Rider gathered worriedly around him. After making sure he was okay and trying to figure out what happened they got him home and all seemed fine for a while. - As time went on though he started acting a little off, He started having headaches,loosing sleep,and even had mysterious cuts,scrapes and bruises on his hands and legs. Which was made noticable with Glasses covering up those areas with bandages. Glasses had no idea what was happening and was starting to worry everyone even the s4. Army suggested that Glasses keep a journal to try and keep up with what was going on. Glasses happily went along with it but when he woke up one morning he opened it up and found rather intresting writing which consisted of random jumbles of words, stranges sentences about some project and surprisingly doodles of octolings who he had never met. One Octoling in particuliar seemed much taller than normal and drawn in shadows and marked as dangerous and to be avoided at all costs for he was “unclean and a huge danger to their project”. - He brought the journal to the others so they could possibly help him decipher everything after some turf wars n such but, Once they all sat down to look at it Army and Mask were the ones able to figure out a few things but none of them could figure out what the project was. Glasses thanked them all for their help and decided to head home early so he could finally go get some sleep which everyone agreed would be best for him,Then later that night Glasses disappeared. - The next morning shocked everyone when Goggles,BobbleHat and Headphones were waiting in the square for Glasses who was almost never late. Everyone tried to text and call him but they got no response, At first they assumed he was busy but that was quickly thrown out the window when the realized that he would’ve told someone if he was going to be late. So then Blue team began to look for him and the s4,rider and their other friends started to help out in the search with only Glasses’ journal left for clues. - Meanwhile Glasses was now with the Sanatized octolings/octarians and the main bad guy,Glasses is now training his own team of octolings to take control over the surface. His true self sometimes peaks through and he becomes very confused and scared only for his mind to be quickly taken back over. Once he was fully under control he was subjected to a lot of tests and training and he became a very deadly fighter. Then as soon as the Big Bad felt that he was ready They put Glasses under anesthesia (i had to look up how to spell that),when he woke up his vision was perfectly clear and he had glowing sanatization markings around his eyes and a device implanted into his cheek near his right eye to make sure it stayed that way. It did have a flaw though that Glasses was kept unaware of which was that it would only work while he is under the effects of sanitization and will slowly stop working the longer he off of it. - When the others finally track him down with the help of the “Dangerous Octoling”, They are all shocked to see him after so long and at first Glasses doesn’t even recogonize them but as soon as he gets closer to them throught battle he does stop dead in his tracks his brush ready to swing and so do his troops all of them confused as to why. His glowing eyes flashed to his blue ones for a breif moment then tries to reach for them and apologized before he cries out in pain and then goes right back to fighting them. As the fight continued though Rider and Goggles noticed that Glasses was crying as he fought them and from seeing this Goggles became very serious and got the idea for every to use their specials all at once to try and free him. The specials clear out the sanatized octolings and octarians leaving only a dazed Glasses with a hand on his head groaning in pain. Relief washes over everyone but it is short lived as Glasses snaps back but not before he said “I....I’m Sorry everyone but this isn’t going to stop me unless you stop Them, Please....save yourselves” he then throws a rainmaker down to distract everyone and flees the scene. - The big Bad then once They have Glasses back at Their side, They started to go ahead with Their plans and releases the weapon (which glasses unknowingly helped build and explains his injuries from earlier) to end the pesky inklings and octoling once and for all. However once Glasses was put in control of it, he snapped out of his mind control breifly destroyed the device controlling him and offically betrayed the big bad and started to fight them while the others dismantled and destroyed the weapon. Once Glasses had knocked down the big bad he started to help the others escape all while his vision slowly started to become faded and blurrier. The Octoling noticed that Glasses was starting to have trouble so he went go help him and then with them working together they destroyed the weapon and they got everyone out of the place. - Once everyone was out of there and glasses made sure they were alright he then passed out from the sheer exaustion and was taken to the hospital where he stayed asleep for a least a few days. He was treated for his injuries and the implant device for his vision was removed and soon after he finally woke up much to everyones relief. Lots of tears were shead plus a lot of apologizing and Team Blue was finally whole again which was a breath of relief for everyone. Post Sanitization: - Glasses’ scars are the markings he got from his own sanatization plus a small scar under his eye on the right side where the implant device was which is always visible. Only Glasses’ right eye glows under stressful sistuations,when angry, or when embarrassed and his vision has gotten a little worse since the sanatization so he’s a bit more protective over his Glasses and doesn’t like people touching them. The scars glow at night and Team blue(plus his SO) actually find it really cute and pretty thought it embarrasses poor Glasses. - He has a bit of trouble getting back into the swing of things But Team Blue,Rider,Teams Gloves,Safari,Blast Bros.,Emperor(surprisingly) and the s4 have been helping out by either hanging out or turfwars. - When Glasses sees Crusty Sean again Sean is so happy to see him again and Glasses cries when he offers him his favorite seanwich because he really missed how nice he was. - Rider and Glasses go to thearpy together for their sanatization and due to it they’ve become a lot closer. They both also have developed some slight insomnia and became late night texting buddies and also accidental nap time buddies as well since they both have been caught every now and then accidentally falling asleep at the tables of where ever they were hanging out. Notes: - I might re-think Tartar being the big bad cause of a spoiler I saw from the end of the octo-expansion arc since I only read the psyhical copies due to not being able to find a reliable source to read it on and the eyestrain I get from reading online. - The “dangerous” Octoling is my Oc Thadius October or just Mr. October, He is an adult Octoling and pretty tall. He is also a spy and was actually hunting down the big bad who got their hands on the sanatization technology. Once he saw Glasses and heard about  team blue and the others looking for him he didn’t hesitate to help them out and save Glasses. The Big Bad might end up being someone from his past that he thought was long gone. This is why I used They/Them pronouns for the big bad since I don’t know what I’m going to use just yet - The orginal idea I actually had three other Ocs which were octolings named Valentine,RockSteady and Suzy and they became Glasses’ team while sanatized. They were not sanatized but hypnotized via the hypnoshades or some headphones depending. I will add this if people want it but for now this is a maybe thing if anything these octolings become a team with inkling Patches called team ElectroSwing and would probably be a team that team Blue goes up against in turf wars. - I have decided to completely scrap the loosing his voice thing since I realized he’d need his voice to give orders to his troops/team so, I think he’s more quiet and he actually doesn’t freak out as much as he normally would but that’s mostly due to him being mind controled. - I am half tempted to make this an actually blog thing and maybe draw some stuff for it too possibly. Anyway this is where i shall stop for now but I might add more who knows.

Maybe it was my fault for expecting a walk in the park with Lotor and his generals because they were introduced like a well managed team not like team Voltron where they were still trying to figure out who fitted where, but the thing that stung for me was the fact that Lotor and his generals went separate ways.... if you don’t trust the people around you then you always have your guard up, but Lotor isn’t on a defensive position when Acxa shoots him, I really thought Acxa was going to talk to him, and the surprised expression he did... woah hello darkness my old friend (again) And then he doesn’t try to battle them when he takes control of the ship, he just leaves them saying “i understand Zethrid, you do what you must” like i don’t know he acknowledges he fucked up? but he doesn’t want to fight them, or maybe it’s just because they are 3 and he is alone, but the goddamn expression he has while he is navigating alone on his ship.... I don’t know Juls, I wanted my evil group sticking together, I want them to stick together

And I guess S5 will be, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, so he will try to have a truce with Voltron to take down Zarkon?

Hey, i wanted to ask, do you think  TO writers will really give Klaus a new love interest in s4? Do you think they will really bring Caroline to TO and make klaroline happen? JP said that Klaus is gonna get a new love interest and that ���it may or may not include a certain TVD character.” I hope that’s not true. I don’t want to believe it’s true but if it is. That would break my heart i really love Cami and klamille more than words can describe. Cami is soo beautiful, in every possible way. I love her more than i have ever loved any other TV character. Cami and Klaus were soulmates, they were made for each other. I was soo sad when she died i felt like i lost my friend.  It really hurt so so much and if they do replace Cami, if Klaus falls in love with someone  again (especially if that someone is Caroline.) The pain will be even worse. NO other character will ever replace Cami for me! They spent three years building the epic and wonderful story that is klamille and i really need Cami to be the only person Klaus ever loved this deeply, Then again KLAUS IS HALLUCINATING CAMI!!! ( i cried from happiness when i saw her in the traileri throught i would never see her again even if it’s just for one ep it’s still so much better than not seeing her at all the thought that she is gone forever was killing me.) THIS MEANS THAT AFTER 5 YEARS HE STILL HASN’T FORGOTTEN ABOUT HIS SOULMATE!!! THIS IS TRUE LOVE so, how are they gonna make Klaus fall in love with someone else so that it feels true, real and not forced? (if Cami is in 4x02, that leaves 11 episodes for them to create a new love story, if it took 3 years for them to build Klamille. A new love story  wouldn’t make any sense. At least not one built in 11 episodes. Unless they get a 5th season. (i really want this to be the last season i can’t stand the through of another season of TO without Cami. I don’t watch the show anymore but still.)

Hugs to you too! I understand how you feel about the prospect of Klaus getting a new love interest--I feel the same way. After all the buildup and the way the writers made it clear Klaus and Cami were and still are deeply and truly connected—not even death can keep them apart—it wouldn’t make sense for Klaus to love anybody else the way he loved Cami. But realistically, I know it’s possible the writers could give him some kind of romantic relationship in the future.

But with who? I’m going to try to answer your questions in two parts: could Klaus “reunite” (for want of a better word) with Caroline on TO? and could Klaus find love with someone completely new? Disclaimer: this is just my opinion, and I don’t always keep up with spoilers and rumours within the fandom, so I may not have all the facts.

Could Caroline come to New Orleans?

It’s very hard to know what could happen in the future until we see how TVD ends and what happens to Caroline and Stefan. However, I don’t think Caroline will be coming to NOLA, at least not in Season 4 (I think it’s been confirmed by Candice King that Caroline isn’t making any crossovers). Could the writers tease a reunion by making references to her during the season even if she doesn’t appear? Absolutely. But if it’s going to lead to more, Candice would have to be prepared to come back and appear on the show in future seasons, either in a recurring or lead role. She’s always been very vocal about her dislike for KC, so it seems unlikely she would want to revisit it even if she wanted to continue playing the role.There would also have to be a convincing reason for Caroline to move to NOLA. 

We know Julie Plec likes to bait fans. She will continue to make vague and misleading statements about Klaus’ lovelife even if she knows what she’s saying isn’t likely to happen. I’m trying to ignore her completely and remember that it is canon that Klaus and Cami are soulmates and that Caroline wants to spend her immortality with Stefan. If Plec does decide to make Klaroline endgame despite it making no sense at this point, both parties would have to move on pretty quickly and dramatically, and we know Klaus hasn’t forgotten Cami in the last five years.

Could Klaus get a completely new love interest?

I believe TPTB know that TO is most likely going to end soon. Despite the (fake) optimism from Plec and the network president, The CW has never really supported the show (it keeps moving it around, doesn’t spend money on promotion) and I have no doubt that in May, if the ratings continue to decline, they’ll cancel it in a heartbeat. As you have pointed out, that would give them 11 episodes to set up a new romance for Klaus. That isn’t going to happen.

However, if TO gets a second wind after TVD ends or the network decides it’s cheaper to keep it in production rather than develop a new show in its place, then they might opt for Klaus to get a love interest in S5. But their options are limited. Currently, Hayley is the only regular female character Klaus isn’t related to. I think the writers wanted to avoid a love triangle involving the two brothers, and they seem committed to Haylijah. That doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t change their minds, but they don’t seem to be thinking about going there just yet, and it would take time for Hayley to fall out of love with Elijah. 

The other possibility is to introduce a new character. But the same problem applies—there isn’t enough time to make it happen naturally—unless they do another Klaurora and bring in an old flame of Klaus. What would be the point though? Most viewers would probably reject the new arrival (the fandom is already divided over Klaus’ existing ships; to add a new one to the mix, especially without any buildup, would be an exercise in futility).

I still believe the writers intend to kill Klaus if they get a chance to write an ending for the series. So there’s a good chance he will remain alone, perhaps dreaming of Cami and concentrating on his daughter for the remainder of the series. Whatever happens, the writers can’t take away the beautiful love story they built up over three seasons.
