Joker is not the foil to Batman, Scarecrow is. Jonathan Crane's only goal is to spread fear. What does Batman do, if not that. (albeit towards the thugs of gotham) Both men know fear like the back of their hand. Both have been though irreversible trauma. They are two sides of the same coin.

Failing to see and utilize this dynamic is one of the biggest failings of batman comics.

idk why but the Avenger class going "we will burn the whole world for you" for ritsuka is far more effective against my stupid little tortured heart than literally any other class saying it maybe bc they embody flames themselves as flames symbolize already hundreds of meanings, in particular, love and hate, passion and mercilessness, a blessing of warmth and a curse that could scorch, impossible existences that should not be summoned at all costs.

flames that would stop at nothing for the sake of their retribution. flames that love so fiercely the only way out of it is to stamp them down, kill them, slit their throats with a knife as they cup your cheek and whisper their love, and how proud they are, how regretful they are, how much they wish they could be with you and borrow just a little more time if only if only there is more time if only i was born in a way that would not harm you yet it is in this existence i am able to meet you and remember you, my light my fate my hope my star, fujimaru ritsuka

I hate that I have to state this again, but...

The hate towards Lou is super unjustified and just plain nasty! How are some of you so blind to see that he's actually a really nice guy, who enjoys playing his character, and also enjoys interacting with the fans (something that he doesn't have to do, but chooses to)

And when I say fans I mean the people who say they care about the show and really mean it, cause some of you "fans" seem to only care about one thing and it's becoming very clear

Please do better instead of holding a petty grudge against an actor who is just doing his job and stop twisting his words to make him look bad! Whatever happend to separating the actor from the character if you hate the character that much (another thing I don't understand is how people can hate Tommy so intensly and act as if character development doesn't exist)
