Open season huskerdust fic concepts cause I'll certainly never write them (use as you like but lmk if you write I'll gobble that shit up!)

A Peggy Sue (character goes back in time with knowledge of future events) Husker fic. Key points include things like

Husk building an Overlord Au empire. His vice is gambling and he's pretty lazy, so the original version who sold himself to Alastor simply amassed personal power and riches he could gamble and coasted on fame but didnt build infrastructure. He does so the second time to give himself a power base he *can* safely gamble with and a potential safe space for Angel. In other words, canon overlord Husk was a singular gambler, au Husk builds an empire out of spite.

Husk and Val drop into hell at about the same time. If Husk goes after Angel right away then this is still early stage Val who's charismatic and sweet and gives Angel any drug he pleases. Angel is the old blood here.

Say it with me folks. Husk would let Angel do sex work! Angel likes it and Husk isnt the jelous type!

Husk genuinely contemplates just sitting back and letting Angel be until he regrets Val's deal because like he's hasn't hits that self reflection and isnt the same Angel yet and Husk can't force him and not be an asshole and OG Angel wouldnt apreciate being babied like this but on the other hand he could save Angel a few lifetimes of suffering. Maybe he'll loose a game and a pretty valuable angelic weapon to Angel to give him a way out when he needs it (that would be such a bittersweet ending!)

I get both sides, one one hand its extra exciting to have your pfp move, personally it gives me the same rush to see it that it does when watching an animation I did over and over again. on the other hand people will definitely put seizure inducing gifs as their avatar, and that can take lives if not ruin them. but g o d have some nuanced opinions people not everything is black and white and I know its hard to face that because I have both autism and bpd and both make it hard to accept not everything is black and white for me.

we dont need to remove animated avatars, even if youre worried about yourself or those around you (which is super fair), you gotta admit, this is awesome, theyre free!! what we do need though is two things

oh my gosh so NOT worry about it!!! im so pumped abt aattd rn u guys have no idea

so wakama is like, idk maybe 5 years older than inkya? their parents in this life are a lot better so neither of them are nearly as messed up as they were when they were sou and shin. wakama's always been super protective of his baby brother which inkya is equal parts puffed up by and annoyed by. hes kind of overprotective of inkya tbh he tried to shelter him a lot when they were younger. inkya used to put wakama up on a pedestal but its kinda worn off now that theyre adults.

obieta always lived pretty close to them when they were younger, like within walking distance, so shes kinda like a sister to them in some ways..!! altho with the age gap (9 years for her and inkya, and 14 years for her and wakama), their relationship was a lot less sibling-y than wakama and inkyas bcs they kinda babied her a little bit. when obieta and her family moved away they started getting more distant, but she reconnected with them when they were all cast in yttd !!!

speaking of them getting cast.. inkya didn't like the manipulative relationship that shin and kanna had in ch1. it made him feel really guilty for some reason, but he always brushed it off as method acting. him and wakama were both a bit uncomfy with shin and sou's relationship bcs it made them feel weird but they couldn't figure out why. they rlly did love the show tho, all their castmates were super fun and the discomfort was easy to ignore. the three of them would often burst out laughing during some scenes - inkya and obieta especially had a hard time keeping it together during main games.

in the death game wakama gets more protective of inkya, while inkya pushes both him and obieta away out of fear. obieta starts clinging more to chizuki. now that theyre being put in the death game theyre all viscerally terrified of becoming like their characters. when my psychiatrist first mentioned possible autism to me i was resistant to the idea but the more time that passes the more I can see signs from my childhood that could support the idea. but also when I take online assessments I always score in the borderline grey area and pursuing an actual diagnosis is expensive and basically impossible as an adult so. idk

like I do think I experience meltdowns, and I do have the restricted interests and lack of interest in my peers and building/maintaining relationships (which i've been told isnt typical of autism but it's part of the dsm criteria so. idk. but i've never had a real interest in my peers and I to this day am awful at responding to/reciprocating social interactions) I hate spontaneous changes of plans and have always been a planner (as in i have to fully plan things in advance or I cant do them) and I do have some sensory icks? but not many. I don't do anything I'd call stimming but I did have habits as a child that might count (I chewed on stuff all the time and I also constantly rubbed the corners of my baby blanket)

But I also think I do fine with reading body language and picking up on sarcasm/humor/idioms/etc like I can do fine in social situations im just uncomfy the whole time.

“that’s impossible” he says, looking down at you, grinning, but this time, you don’t grin back- “oh.. what is it” his smile fades fast, his tone turns serious.

it’s time you told him- told someone at least. “i used to be on drugs. before i met you.” you say, quickly.

he looks down to your face, one brow quirks up- and the moment only makes you more scared than you already are. “what about now?” he asks, his eyes stare deep into your soul, as if he’s trying to take it out to see if you’re lying or not. “not anymore, i’ve been clean for months, ‘m sorry for not telling you.. i know these things are usually stuff you say or tell your significant other..” you felt like crying, you didn’t know why- maybe it was just the constant amount of fear tugging at you, but everything, it went away when you felt tetsu run his fingers through your hair, “y’know i love you? and i intend to always love you, through anything, and everything. no matter what you’re going through, i’ll love you. and i’ll love you right now like how i always have.”
