Summary: A compilation of Colby and Y/N being far too obvious with their feelings for one another for the entire world to see. Basically, a YouTube documentation spanning several channels that marks the history of this goofy relationship

"It's fucking nighttime already, dude! We're running two hours behind schedule!" Sam complains through a smile, shaking his head at Colby who's trailing behind him with bags full of snacks. "All because someone spent those two hours scouring a store!

They're currently in Canada following the filming of a couple investigations for Hell Week with Kris and Celina. As Sam said, they were supposed to be two hours along the road back home already - a very tiny portion of their roadtrip back, seeing as how they didn't get to buy plane tickets on time. So, they settled for a two day roadtrip and the adventure it would bring on.

Colby, not at all bothered by Sam's accusations, smiles at the camera, "I promised Y/N I'd bring back signature Canadian snacks for her. There is no chance in hell I go home empty-handed. She'd kill me." As if to prove he is serious about his quest, he lifts the two heavy looking bags for the camera to get a better shot of them.

Sam's smile falters, replaced by a highly offended frown, "So you're telling me we're not gonna eat any of those snack on the road?" Colby - folding with laughter, mind you - shakes his head. "Are you fucking ki-...."

"I'm almost done!" Y/N calls out from her spot in front of the mirror where she's been stuck for the past thirty minutes trying to even out her winged liner.

A groan comes from a far distance but is still picked up by her phone microphone and is heard by the audience of Y/N's Instagram live, "You keep saying that!"

Not ten seconds later, the door is thrown open, provoking a laugh from the girl. She lowers her hand and takes her attention away from her reflection to pay her roommate proper acknowledgement. "Give me a second, sheesh! Can't a girl make herself pretty in peace?"

Although he never enters the frame fully, the live chat is already flowing with cheers of Colby's name. Whether it was wishful thinking or an educated guess on their part is a mystery. Regardless, they're entirely correct, their suspicions confirmed when they hear his voice and see his arm come into frame, his hand cupping Y/N's chin to tilt up her face.

"You're always pretty." He says, causing her to roll her eyes. At that, he boops her nose with his pointer finger before withdrawing his arm, "You have five minutes to wrap things up."

Y/N's gaze lingers on him until he's out of sight. She shakes her head and catches the camera's eye in the mirror reflection, "The audacity on that man. Tsk

"Ok, so, update..." Colby chuckles, looking away from the camera he's currently holding blogging style to make sure he doesn't trip on anything, "We were supposed to go grab food before starting the investigation, but then...." He flips the camera to show the backyard of the abandoned house they'll be exploring tonight, "Y/N found a trampoline in the backyard."

As the camera focuses, both Sam and Y/N come into clear view - the former laughing at the latter who's too busy to care. She's too occupied having the time of her life on this raggedy looking trampoline, reveling in childlike joy as she hops around.

Colby sets the camera on the tripod Sam had left nearby, wanting to capture this wholesome moment, even if it didn't make it into the final cut of the video. Though he doesn't see why it wouldn't.

After adjusting the camera, he turns to find Sam has joined Y/N on the trampoline, far more hesitant than she is, though.

"You guys are ridiculous." He remarks as he approaches them, shaking his head with a bright smile on his face.

Y/N lands on her knees so she can be at least halfway at eye-level with her friend, offering him a beckoning hand, "Come be ridiculous too. Don't be a bore."

Colby scoffs and rolls his eyes. Still, he accepts her hand but instead of using it for support to climb up to join his friends on the trampoline, he tugs on it. Y/N lets out a little yelp as she's enveloped in his arms. Her legs instinctively wrap around his waist, unwilling to have a rather unpleasant encounter with the ground.

"Colby! Put me down!!" Put her down he most certainly doesn't, instead opting to spin her while securely holding her in his arms, eliciting mock terror-filled screams from her.

Eventually, he does get persuaded into joining her and Sam on the trampoline.

And the whole fiasco eventually makes it into the final cut and onto the internet.

And, inevitably, in edits.

It's an innocent, wholesome TikTok they filmed in the garden of the Conjuring house. Yes, the Conjuring house, no biggie.

Sam is the cameraman who much to his relief didn't even need to orchestrate anything. He just pressed the record button on his phone to capture the tomfoolery going on. The lighting is perfect, provided by the few remaining rays of sunlight before dark befell them. A little lighthearted fun was more than needed before they'd have to go back in the house to chat with spirits for the night.

The video captures Y/N in her natural element - dancing goofily with the pair of headphones they use for the Estes method on her head. The caption under the video reads: 'When the spirits drop a sick beat' and is quite the perfect depiction of the trio's dynamic.

Sam documenting the chaos. Y/N being the chaos. And Colby observing her chaos with heart-eyes from the sidelines.

Although Sam hadn't originally noticed his best friend's awed gaze accidentally captured in the video, the fans most definitely noticed. And, as per usual, they ran with it.

Space and Time (Hawks x reader)

Death was part of the job.

This was something the number two hero, Hawks, knew since a kid. He knew that his dream would come with the cost of his life. While that may be a heavy burden for most, Hawks never viewed it as such. He was more than willing to give his life for something bigger than himself. Besides, it's not like there was much left in this life for him.

That was before you came into his life. Slowly but surely you turned his lonely nights into ones filled with warmth and smiles. The usual exhausting drag home from late night patrol now full of excitement as he hurries home to you, hands full as he carries home fried chicken for you two to snack on. Your impact on his life has been massive, bringing beauty to the mundane and peace when the hero suit comes off. He makes sure to always remind you of this too. Always making sure you feel and know his love, now fearful of the day he's not around.

"Kei?" your soft voice snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Yes, _____?" he responds, turning to face you. The two of you were lounging on the couch, your boyfriend mindlessly scrolling through TV channels as his thoughts spiraled until his loving eyes met yours.

These soft peaceful moments meant everything to both of you. "I love you!" He melts at the way the words roll off your tongue, like your love for him was a natural fact of life. He wraps his arms around your waist, a surprised gasp leaving your mouth as his feathers reinforce his hold on you. He chuckles at your reaction as he buries his face in your neck, his lips gently kissing your exposed flesh. His hands move from your waist to under your shirt, rubbing circles into your back. You hum in content, eyes closing as peace washes over your entire body.

"You're my entire world," he speaks against your skin loud enough for you to hear. "I love you _____. Never forget it."

Tomorrow is never promised. This is a fact that often plagues the number two hero's mind. However, in this moment, all that matters to Hawks is having today with you.

they both grow up with disdainful and controlling parents (save for diana’s father); purebloods of high status who are expected to uphold the standards of their good names. but diana is believed to be a squib; with a behavioral disorder to boot, while ominis is blind and the black sheep in terms of values and beliefs.

both of them wind up channeling a lot of their pain into their crafts. diana is a painter, and ominis a piano player and composer. in time, they become each other’s muses without even realizing.

Sometimes you should think of life like a hallmark channel movie or a family movie, potentially or per se. It’s just better to have your happy foundations there in the background. A family holiday cartoon movie, bare in mind and take care to remember that you can have your own family or celebrate nostalgia by yourself or even other related people who bring you joy and warmth, peace. But it’s important to have whole or wholesome happiness there!

Thoughts While Watching Gilmore Girls- Season 2, Episode 16, "There's The Rub", aka A Sheer Masterpiece of GilmoreDom, AKA The Gilmore Geller Mariano Trio, And Everything is Right With The World Until Forrester Shows Up, Part 4

I realized I’ve been spelling Dean's last name wrong all this time (it's only one R, not two) but I'm going to keep misspelling it on purpose because it's what he fucking deserves, frankly. You can find parts 1-3 and all other episodes I've recapped in my pinned post. Leggo.

All of the purest and most heartwarming episodes & scenes are the ones that take place outside of Shit's Hollow. Emily and Lorelai at the spa. The Bangles Concert. The time the Dragonfly Inn crew+ Rory and Emily went to a drag show. That time Lane and Rory went to Madelyn & Louise's party and Lane danced with Henry. Various scenes that take place at the mall. Rory's trip to New York City to see Jess (MY FAVORITE EPISODE). The time Jess, his uncle and his stepfather took him to see some naked mud wrestling (ah, family bonding).

It does not get any better than this, people. Let us all bask in this warm, peaceful glow, the smell of french fries, the sound of gentle literary debate, the absence of Dean, Lorelai and all of the other loudmouths of Shit's Hollow, who are safely (if temporarily) contained in secondary locations. *breathes in* Ahhhhhh.

The fact that a friendship between Paris and Jess wasn't allowed to develop past this episode, in large part due to Dean Ruins Everything Forrester, was another one of AmyShermanPalladino's high crimes she needs to answer to. (and let's not even start on how a nice little friendship based on a shared interest in music could have formed with Lane but AmyShermanPalladino decided to make Lane salty at Jess for no reason until literally the last episode before he splits from Rory. I remember a scene in a later episode where Lane tries to run away to New York to meet up with her band but when she gets there she finds she's lost and in over her head I wanted her to get in contact with Jess so badly so she could have stayed with him or he could have helped her out. Speaking of salty.

He's so frigging cute, my heart hurts. Ow. The phone rings in the Gilly Girl household and this is one of the many times I wish I was still a GG virgin and didn't already know it was Dean the Serial Killer on the other end.

Someone who is already violating her boundaries by inviting himself over, knowing full well she wanted to spend the night alone, is totally going to double-super-duper respect-her-boundaries if she says no to this additional boundary violation. Asking her permission, that's rich. And Dean the Abuser totally won't triple violate her boundaries when he finds out her circumstances changed and she ended up spending her time with someone other than him. This is going to go just swell.

Oh god, she's still wearing the Quarter on a String and it's even uglier than I could have imagined! You can finally see it well in the harsh light of the Gilmore Kitchen. I still need an extreme closeup. D: I know you want to be alone but I just want to stop by for a minute and say hello. Actually, what I meant to say was, fuck you Rory, even though you told me repeatedly you wanted to be alone I'm coming over anyway because I'm an abusive piece of shit. R: But you just said hi.

Dean Forrester is a straight up horror movie villain or at the very least the villain in a bad Lifetime movie/cautionary tale about an abusive boyfriend. Gilmore Girls really is a 7 year long Lifetime movie. (for the youngn's, Lifetime Network was a tv network primarily targeting women, something akin to the current Hallmark channel, and although they had their share of wholesome movies like HC they also produced dozens of low budget movies about men who stalked and abused women) TWWGG's Memory: "Hey TWWGG, remember in 2020 when 4 years had passed since you had watched Gilmore Girls for the 1st time, and you wanted to watch it again during the pandemic, and halfway through the 1st season you said to your best friend, "boy howdy I'm glad Dean finally leaves after Jess and Rory start dating" and she said "I hate to tell you this but Dean is around untl the middle of season 5, and also Jess leaves at the end of season 3" and all the color drained from your face and your whole world crumbled to pieces?" This "Dean not taking no for an answer" is terribly frightening and disturbing. My skin just prickled. When you take into account the fear and sheer desperation in Rory's voice it gets even worse. I feel like I should be putting trigger warnings on these scenes or something?

It's funny how much of the material involving Eggman that's come out since Frontiers feels like such a deliberate response to the fandoms uwuification. Having Sage outright declare her motivations are soully to serving Eggman and furthering his world conquest in Final Horizons. His role and dialog in MOSTH. Him being his same animal kidnapping self in Superstars. And now Dream Team being THE Eggman game lol. It couldn't be more in your face that everything that people had been saying about what Frontiers and Sage meant for Eggman since before that game even came out was wrong wrong wrong. Starting to think SEGA is even more annoyed by the fandoms shenanigans than we were.

Lol yes I'm so fucking happy, it feels great to be this happy and at peace with all the official/canon media. All of it has been so vindicating lately with so many strong in your face pieces of dialogue and scenes that blatantly prove that villainous Eggman isn't going anywhere and are impossible to interpret in any other way, confirming that the OOC fandom depiction of Eggdad does not exist within the actual source at all, just like it didn't in the highly misinterpreted Frontiers in the first place. People didn't believe that it was possible for so many people to get it wrong but so far all the official media since, even in Final Horizon has been vindicating us! And Ian Flynn's words on the writing for Frontiers is just a bonus, it's all there in the actual media itself.

And I love that there's no way they don't know about fandom's shenanigans. Especially not the English side of Sega/Sonic Team but surely the JP side too with Kishimoto looking at feedback on Twitter and Sonic Channel posting Eggman and Sage art that must've brought in tons of people cooing and gushing over a version of the dynamic that doesn't exist. Yet no official media since tried to cash in and change what they're really going for to appeal to them. People can keep trying to delude themselves into thinking what they want is in the text but Eggman hasn't stopped being an evil asshole bastard man, his life doesn't revolve around Sage and being Wholesome Domestic Father™ before being a person and any time he's been around her or mentioned her since hasn't been OOC.

So they're really sticking to their guns and I love that! Of course they wouldn't just decide to change what they were doing with their own characters just because fans wanted them to but it was an irrational fear of mine due to just how popular it is to misinterpret and portray as highly OOC, it's immensely so to the point it's inescapable. But the fact that a year later from the initial release of Frontiers and they still haven't gone heavy on it like that in any official media is a great sign. No games that have released or even Sonic Channel or the social media both Eng and JP. Hell, not even Prime or IDW have! And Ian Flynn stayed adamant on the dynamic of Eggman and Sage being unsettling and shallow and that she can only make him worse and that he's still a bad person.

We got Murder of Sonic where Eggman revealed he specifically programs creations with life-like personalities so they develop the desire to admire him and fulfill a bounty because they want a reward, making them work harder and compete against each other all to do his dirty work and fulfill his selfish evil desires. We got Sage supporting Eggman's evil actions and selfish priorities and desires and him being very reluctant and frustrated with working with Sonic in Final Horizon. We got classic diabolical animal capturing Eggman in Superstars. We got Dream Team where his dreams are all about himself and nobody else and he's still kidnapping and attacking kids the same as ever too. And the Sonic Channel story where he has selfish desires and attempted trickery and manipulation too!

Nothing about him has changed at all! In fact it really does feel like it's just being emphasized even more almost like it's some kind of response to fanon lol. Canon has always been on my side and it was delightful and freeing of all disappointment, anger and stress when I finally realized that base Frontiers actually didn't suddenly break that and neither has Final Horizon or any other media since. If you understand, accept and enjoy real game canon Eggman you'll never be let down! I'm very happy and content with everything we've been getting and I'm much more comfortable and hopeful about Eggman in future media too thanks to all of this. And as long as we have that I'll happily ignore 99% of fandom and keep on appreciating the actual canon media that I really adore XD 💜

On camera, Jennie tries to come off as wholesome and put-together as possible, as she's extremely aware of her position and the responsibilities and expectations associated with it. When she's off camera, her exhaustion, anxiety and fears come all crashing down on her. Because she doesn't have to pretend to be perfect and happy any longer, she lets all of her walls down and surrenders herself completely to the negativity that she was forced to push away while on camera. Unlike Rosé (as we saw here), who is constantly going over these things whenever she's going about her normal life, Jennie might just let it all out in one big cry and move on. Truly, she just seeks to find clarity and peace of mind, so facing the dark side of her mind and heart is necessary for her in those particular moments. At the same, though, we can see that off camera Jennie is extremely dependable, stable and disciplined. She takes her commitments very seriously, both personally and in regards to her career. Plus, building long-term financial security is a very big focus for her, so she might spend a lot of her time creating connections and learning about new business opportunities that could help her achieve that goal. It might even surprise some people to see how much more serious and logical Jennie is in real life, compared to the image she puts out when she's on camera. She's a no-nonsense person, honest and fair; she has no problem letting her truths out, and neither is she easily manipulated by others.

I don't think Jennie has a lot more that she wants to show on camera, to be completely honest. She's pretty satisfied with the control that she has due to her image, and how it allows her to keep certain things private and away from public scrutiny. If anything, she'd just like to show more of her ambitious, disciplined and driven side - perhaps behind the scenes things, when she's making deals and leading a team in a creative project. Additionally, it feels like she'd enjoy if people showed more recognition for her vision and creativity, as well as for her potential outside of just being an idol. However, in that sense, she might actually be looking into finding ways to show that off in the future. It could be through a number of very diversified projects, or even through personal content (on her youtube channel, for example).

Biweekly Media Roundup

- Wednesday (TV) - I’m enjoying this so far. I’m pretty much always down for any premise revolving around a monster school, the mystery is pretty interesting, I like the overall aesthetics and costume design, and I do think the writers did a pretty good job with most of the central cast’s characterization. I have some complaints on the overall monster design and on Wednesday herself, who I think is fine as far as entertaining characters go but is callous to the point where I genuinely don’t understand why any of her peers would ever want to spend time with her, but as far as first seasons go it was solid, and there's always room for improvement later. It definitely stands on its own as a little murder mystery drama mini-series, though I do desperately want to watch the movies again now.

- Defunctland (Youtube Channel) - I don’t normally include Youtube videos here as I watch too many to count but Defunctlands latest documentary on the Disney Channel theme somehow made my cold heart feel things so here it is. 

- Chainsaw Man (Anime) - Finally caught up with the anime and uh. Holy shit. Makima was already a stand-out in a great cast of likable weirdos with her soft spoken voice and androgynous drip but seeing her full abilities in action was really something. Horrifying, well executed, adds so much mystery and intrigue to the show, an excellent addition all around. I am seeing why this series was so hyped up, as while it wasn’t quite what I was expecting it to be I’m definitely having a lot of fun with it. Excellent animation, a little bit of introspection, and some very cool monster concepts, I can definitely see this becoming one of my faves in the future, though it’s raunchy/occasionally gory nature makes it a show I wouldn’t recommend to everyone withought knowing their tolerance for those things first.

- Spy X Family (Anime) - Glad the tennis arc is over, I don’t hate this new love rival character but her and her schemes are far less interesting than Anya’s school issues and everything Yors got going on so I’m excited to get back to that.

- Mob Psycho 100 (Anime) - Not much Mob left, gotta savor it while I can.

- Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-Kun (Anime) - While I adore these characters, I’m not really liking this season as much as the last ones, I hope we get to a new arc soon and maybe get more background on the adult cast or get to see the kids just hanging out more. For this series I want more wholesome comedy not prolonged action tactics- there's nothing wrong with the latter but it’s just so much better at the former.

- The S Classes That I Raised (Webcomic) - Too bad this has such a small Western fandom, as I’ve been thinking about these little guys quite a lot this week. Han Yoojin’s mom energy is just incredibly endearing and the webcomic designs of Moon and Riette are very ...woman yes good musclular  strong arm woman I love mhhmm. I think I’ll make a compilation of Peace photos to put over on my monster blog as the artist really captures the adorable + chaotic little gremlin energy well with the little flareon-thing. This series has now joined my ‘constantly checking for updates’ list for the near future.

- Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (Video Game) - I haven't played this game, but I have been enjoying the character designs. Rika in particular has great casual butch energy. 

- Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint (Webnovel) - This has been here for a good chunk of the year but thanks to an audionovel version I’ve been catching up on it a lot. Just got a bit past the “Incarnation Kim Dokja will be killed by the one he loves the most” arc which sure made me feel things oh boy. I plan to binge read the whole novel over the holidays and let it break me like I know it will.

when the baby is forming both shouyou & utsuro exist within it. once it grows hands shouyou rips out the heart and cuts off the nasty bits and throws them away, then from the trash heap those chunks coalesce and become utsuro in a new body

shouyou gave birth to the takasugi baby in the upper realm (he reproduces asexually like a flower)

shouyou baby appears way before, takasugi baby has to take another year almost before it appears

when utsuro bubbles up into a conscious state he realizes the baby takasugi is soon going to come of the dragon gate and is like wtf i want baby so he sits there and pulls out the escenses of oboro

utsuro is psycho and wants to beat shouyou and so manages to pull an oboro baby out of there first

once shouyou find his takasugi baby he goes on vacation to the maldives and relegates the baby to gintoki & co

the plan is the baby will have the fathers gintoki zura and tatsuma

because takasugi doesnt need to be parented properly! it may not be good for the baby but think of the content, and shouyous peace. this can also be a learning experience for his students

they (gintoki & co) make a family channel on youtube and parade takasugi baby

gintoki is emotionally unstable, zura is posh with dumb wholesome energy, tatsuma has a degree, shouyou is a role model to all, utsuro and petty & hates shouyou so also wants a kid (which he achieved), oboro is a bully, takasugi is a menace to society in all ways

15 THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY <3 (in no particular order)

1. fashion !! i love fashion!! i like watching videos of outfit pairings, runway shows, or just look through tumblr or pinterest for outfit inspiration. i like watching fashion hauls <3

2. watching new films. i love film and i have such a good time watching movies by myself. im such a letterboxd gal i will always log in my movies and organize my lists by color or by ranking and it's just so fun to log my films and look back on the commentary later on. i will rewatch anything and later search up movie scripts :p

3. collecting bts photocards!! im a jimin collector so i have a full collection of his album pcs (of my choosing, i don't collect every single one only the ones i really like) and im currently in my dvd collection era so that's really fun!! im not active in trading or buying like i was a few months back but it's still fun and im a part of that community <33

4. reading !! i love to read. i've always enjoyed reading and it's what pushed me into the writing world. i have a tremendous amount of love for literature as a whole. i try to set little goals for myself so i can read the way i used to and it brings me solace to read something new that is able to capture feelings i can't bring myself to write.

5. writing of course!! since i was very young i enjoyed writing. i used to write fanfics when i was in middle school and i used to publish on wattpad and other little sites and eventually as my interest in the fandom i wrote for died out, i stopped writing as often. but still, i enjoy writing little poems occasionally and most recently upon returning to the fanfic world due to bangtan, i found myself wanting to write again. it's definitely been a challenge again but it's a great outlet and it allows me to channel my creativity.

6. hanging out with my family & partner. i am very lucky to have an army sibling i can talk to and relate with about bts. we're both fanfic readers and she's my supportive reader and brainstorm friend. i have a lovely partner that is also supportive in the things i like. so anytime im with them is a happy time.

7. drinking hot cocoa or coffee on cold days. i love a hot drink but i enjoy it even more on cold days as it allows me to romanticize my life a little lol

8. walking outside during the fall. i like going to parks and reading under a tree or just laying in the grass looking up at the sky. i can do it alone or with company, it makes me happy either way!

9. listening to music on my CD player !! my partner bought me a CD player when i told them about proof dropping and how some of the songs were not on streaming services so now i have something to play all of my bangtan albums on and listening with my headphones just feels so different. it's definitely nostalgic.

10. smoking weeeeeed. i smoke often and it brings me peace and comfort and helps a lot with my anxiety so i tend to smoke and mellow out but also i enjoy the high it's fun it's a good time (most times than not)

11. playing with my cats! im a cat person and we have a lot of cats here at home and they're so playful and sweet and i like spending time with them and carrying them, letting them nap on me or just rubbing their little heads while they purr on me. they bring me comfort and will always cheer me up when i need it the most <33

12. driving to a good playlist. i don't really like driving but if i'm listening to a nice playlist and it's grey outside or rainy or if it's the morning time and the sun is coming up and the grass is dewy and everything looks golden, then the drive is dreamy and i enjoy my solitude with the music and the scenic drive.

13. bangtan!!!! of course of course they make me happy. they are so sweet and wholesome and bring me so much joy. i don't know what life felt like before them but i know i don't ever want to live that way again. even as they go their own ways, knowing them has been such a great impact. the discovery of this group has brought meaning to my life as im sure others can relate and their music is so healing, so comforting and so sincere. bangtan forever <33 :")

14. sleeping :p i love sleeping even if my sleep schedule is currently in shambles.... when i sleep i sleeeeep

15. chatting with new friends!! hanging out with my friends! i don't have a lot of friends irl but the few i do, i love seeing them and just doing little mundane things with them like going to run errands or baking cookies in the evening. i like being around the people i love. i also love making new friends through similar interests because i loveeee to talk about the things i fixate on lol

goodbye 2022

a look back at 2022 ~ 

I’ll remember this year as the year that I was laid off and had to do a lottttt of maintenance on my inner world. I thought that being in one place, not moving around, and finally settling down a bit would bring me peace and clarity and honestly - even though it sounds cliche - like the world was my oyster and lots of fun endeavors were waiting for me. That all changed when 3 weeks into 2022 I was laid off from my job: The foundation on which my false sense of security rested upon was pulled out right from underneath me. Even though it was terrible and lame and annoying and stressful, I still managed to do a hell of a lot of fun and cool things this year - of course, with my amazing partner by my side. Here’s some of the highlights as I look back: 

1. We got to experience PA winter in full swing! It snowed a few times and we cozied up in our new place at the beginning of the year. I think there were even some fun photo shoots in my underwear dancing around in the snow in our backyard?

2. Sean got me a Tiffany’s necklace for vday and I got him gold roses - quite boujie I’d say! We always spoil each other and this year was no different. And we had a super fancy dinner in Philly, got a free entre, and free dessert! Just our luck.

3. For Sean’s bday we fulfilled his one request - eat lots of different cakes! I think we got 5 or 6 slices of cakes from Paris Baguette and enjoyed every bite. And lottery tickets. Lots. And Lots. Of lottery tickets.  

4. I started writing movie reviews and turning them into youtube videos! It was fun for a little while.. I thought with all of my thoughts and ideas i’d be able to sustain a channel long term but that sh*t is a lot of work and in the end it wasn’t for me. HOWEVER, I did continue to make youtube videos all year - mostly doing nails which have gotten better and better all year long.

5. Living closer to home paid off. We got to spend a lot of time with my family this year. Going to the butterfly garden for my mom’s bday stands out as a highlight as well as shopping with her at Suburban Square, going to my cousin’s wedding, and seeing each other on every major holiday. I used to despise family gatherings, and now I cherish them deeply.

6. My sister was pregnant the first half of the year and I got to go to Florida to throw her a baby shower with my mom and our extended family. It was such a wholesome and fun trip. Usually the Florida sun and humidity isn’t my thing but I thoroughly enjoyed walking to the beach and experiencing being with my Grandma. 

7. We went to ITALY! Even if Japan didn’t open its borders to tourists just yet, we still made international travel happen and it was very romantic and fun. Especially Venice - what a gorgeous city, the canals, Doge Palace, aperol spritz and the fancy 10-story walk-up airbnb. We walked like 10 miles a day and throughout Venice, Florence, and Milan we stumbled upon all different kinds of hidden gems (the alchemist’s lair being very memorable, and the view from the top of that hill near our airbnb where i cried lol). The food was a solid 6.5 out of 10 (lol) with shining stars like the sandwiches in Florence and the lows being Cibreo -_- . Sean is an amazing travel buddy and makes anywhere feel like home.

8. We got more tattoos! I think Sean got 6 tattoos?! I got 2 new ones. And counting!

9. We had some solid exercise habits that started by going to the gym together like 4-5 times a week from January through May! We fell off the wagon, then got back on with Peloton, then fell off again. Lol

10. I got a LOVESAC for my bday!!! Which completely changed the game for me with reading. I read 25 books this year which blows my mind. But that was one of the ways that unemployment was productive! We also went kayaking for my bday - so serene, so nice. It was moody and cloudy that day so we were alone on the Schuykill river which was perfect. 

11. We made friends! And did things like The Bachelorette weekly watch parties, went to engagement parties and danced our pants off, hosted a labor day picnic and Friendsgiving, and I joined a book club. Friendships are a fun social outlet but Sean is still and will always be the one I love hanging out with the most.

12. We went to Cape may beach and Sean actually went in the ocean with me!!! I loved seeing his smile floating around and letting the waves sway him up and down. And we managed to not get sunburn!

13. We celebrated 3 years of dating! 

13. I made a looooooooooot of salads. Famous Rudi salads.

14. I got really into K-pop.. like more than ever before. Even got to see Blackpink which was a once in a lifetime event! Probably one of the happiest days of my life - not exaggerating! 

15. Sean got raise after raise after raise and is bringing home the bacon like I’ve never seen him before. It’s been wonderful to see him feeling secure and buying whatever the f he wants!

16. I got a job!!! And in the same month, I bought a brand new car. Goodbye rusty old volvo - hello 2023 soobie :) Adulting. 

17. I got to visit my new nephew, Juju, in San Diego and spend a week with my sister. She’s such a good mom and I can’t wait to see juju again this year! 

18. We got a PS5 and finally got to play Genshin which is now an obsession - a healthy obsession ;) 

19. Sean built an enormous tea collection, decked out his office in a bunch of cool decor & peloton, grew herbs and plants in our backyard, stood up to our cranky neighbors, discovered his new fave store (rikumo) and got us to start doing Japanese workshops, booked us a trip to Japan for 2023, and help me through a lot of mental struggles. He’s been the one constant, amazing part of my year and I can’t wait for 2023′s memories to be made.
